The jury returned their verdict this afternoon. Chauvin found guilty of murder (all counts) following a show trial. Let the celebratory riots begin. Civil war it is.
Good news for Libertarians! From coast to glassy-eyed coast, it’s the norm now – even the hard stuff. Our future is secure! The real news came out of the People’s Republic of Kalifornia where Prop 16 failed to bring racial discrimination into state hiring.
Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, D-San Diego, and Sen. Maria Elena Durazo, D-Los Angeles, argued Proposition 16 would create equal footing among Latinos and Blacks and increase racial and gender representation in higher education and in the public workforce.
“It’s unfortunate that we didn’t have a chance to explain it to more voters but we’re hopeful that justice works out,” Gonzalez said on Tuesday night.
It’s not unfortunate, it’s amazing that the voters chose to protect the interests of the shrinking 36% minority of citizens in the state. Miracles never cease. Now, back to your “green.”
Race, that is. Otherwise, how could a virus be genetically predisposed to pick one group over another? Some wise college students surely have the answer.
The state University at Albany is investigating whether an off-campus coronavirus-themed party violated the college’s student code of conduct, the university confirmed Thursday.
Asian American Alliance, a university student organization, condemned the party hosted by students last weekend, saying it was insensitive and racist. A statement on the alliance’s Instagram account said the virus “has led to not only mass stereotyping of Asian people, but also hundreds of deaths across the world.”
The virus is bad enough. If this party happened as alleged, then it was in poor taste. Seeking punishment via an evil “code of conduct” is as bad or worse, unAmerican. But, through their demand, the Asian students make an interesting admission: “Diseases that affect non-white populations are radicalized…” Well, only Asians have died from the nCoV thus far. Interesting, is it not? A better demand might be for answers about how the thing either mutated or was designed (radicalized, if you will). Who could have benefited?
If there’s one thing that’s kept me up at night, it’s this.
President Trump plans to sign an executive order on Wednesday targeting what he sees as anti-Semitism on college campuses by threatening to withhold federal money from educational institutions that fail to combat discrimination, three administration officials said on Tuesday.
The order will effectively interpret Judaism as a race or nationality, not just a religion, to prompt a federal law penalizing colleges and universities deemed to be shirking their responsibility to foster an open climate for minority students. In recent years, the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions — or B.D.S. — movement against Israel has roiled some campuses, leaving some Jewish students feeling unwelcome or attacked.
In signing the order, Mr. Trump will use his executive power to take action where Congress has not, essentially replicating bipartisan legislation that has stalled on Capitol Hill for several years. Prominent Democrats have joined Republicans in promoting such a policy change to combat anti-Semitism as well as the boycott-Israel movement.
But critics complained that such a policy could be used to stifle free speech and legitimate opposition to Israel’s policies toward Palestinians in the name of fighting anti-Semitism. The definition of anti-Semitism to be used in the order matches the one used by the State Department and by other nations, but it has been criticized as too open-ended and sweeping.
Who needs free speech? That’s plainly
anti-Semitic racist. Praise be to Trump for doing what he was elected to do. Israel First! The Article Zero of the CONstitution clearly give the Executive the authority to decree races or ethnicities and to allot (or withhold) money for education.
Now my concern if how this might affect the Harvard-Asian lawsuits. Maybe “Asian” is a religion? Trump, if not impeached and removed, may tell us. Glory!
In Grutter v. Bolliger, 539 U.S. 306 (2003), the Supreme Court somehow upheld the continuing discrimination of affirmative action in higher education. In that particular case, it directly regarded law school admission at the University of Michigan. White students, like Barbara Grutter, were (are) systematically denied opportunities based on the color of their skin despite having superior test scores, grades, and IQs.
Sandra Day O’Connor, in delivering the majority opinion, wrote: “The Court expects that 25 years from now, the use of racial preferences will no longer be necessary to further the interest approved today.” Grutter, at 310.
It’s only been 14 years but that is close enough, long enough (too long really). The Trump Administration is ready to direct the DOJ to uphold the honest principles that Justice Thomas urged in his Grutter dissent:
I therefore can understand the imposition of a 25-year time limit only as a holding that the deference the Court pays to the Law School’s educational judgments and refusal to change its admissions policies will itself expire. At that point these policies will clearly have failed to “‘eliminate the [perceived] need for any racial or ethnic'” discrimination because the academic credentials gap will still be there. [citation omitted] The Court defines this time limit in terms of narrow tailoring, [internal citation omitted] but I believe this arises from its refusal to define rigorously the broad state interest vindicated today. [internal citation omitted]. With these observations, I join the last sentence of Part III of the opinion of the Court.
For the immediate future, however, the majority has placed its imprimatur on a practice that can only weaken the principle of equality embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the Equal Protection Clause. “Our Constitution is color-blind, and neither knows nor tolerates classes among citizens.” Plessy v. Ferguson, 163 U.S. 527, 559, […] (1896) (Harlan, J., dissenting). It has been nearly 140 years since Frederick Douglass asked the intellectual ancestors of the Law School to “[d]o nothing with us!” and the Nation adopted the Fourteenth Amendment. Now we must wait another 25 years to see this principle of equality vindicated. I therefore respectfully dissent from the remainder of the Court’s opinion and the judgment.
The time is now. The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division will begin pursuing schools engaging in this hideous practice.
WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is preparing to redirect resources of the Justice Department’s civil rights division toward investigating and suing universities over affirmative action admissions policies deemed to discriminate against white applicants, according to a document obtained by The New York Times.
The document, an internal announcement to the civil rights division, seeks current lawyers interested in working for a new project on “investigations and possible litigation related to intentional race-based discrimination in college and university admissions.”
The announcement suggests that the project will be run out of the division’s front office, where the Trump administration’s political appointees work, rather than its Educational Opportunities Section, which is run by career civil servants and normally handles work involving schools and universities.
The document does not explicitly identify whom the Justice Department considers at risk of discrimination because of affirmative action admissions policies. But the phrasing it uses, “intentional race-based discrimination,” cuts to the heart of programs designed to bring more minority students to university campuses.
Supporters and critics of the project said it was clearly targeting admissions programs that can give members of generally disadvantaged groups, like black and Latino students, an edge over other applicants with comparable or higher test scores.
The project is another sign that the civil rights division is taking on a conservative tilt under President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. It follows other changes in Justice Department policy on voting rights, gay rights and police reforms.
Roger Clegg, a former top official in the civil rights division during the Reagan administration and the first Bush administration who is now the president of the conservative Center for Equal Opportunity, called the project a “welcome” and “long overdue” development as the United States becomes increasingly multiracial.
“The civil rights laws were deliberately written to protect everyone from discrimination, and it is frequently the case that not only are whites discriminated against now, but frequently Asian-Americans are as well,” he said.
I once brushed off the possible chance to work for the DOJ. This is one of the few times I wish I had gone through and was still there. I’d volunteer in a heartbeat.
I congratulate the City of New Orleans and its upstanding citizens on their successful removal of the Statue of Jefferson Davis, first, last, and greatest President of the C.S.A.
Workers in New Orleans in the early hours of Thursday took down a statue of Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. It was the second of four such statues or monuments targeted for removal as city officials seek to erase the vestiges of an era that celebrated white supremacy and racism.
Crews, wearing masks to cover their faces, worked under a heavy police presence starting at 3 a.m. to dismantle the statue, which was erected in 1911, nearly 50 years after the end of the war, and commissioned by the Jefferson Davis Memorial Association.
Wearing masks over their faces … like the Klan. Irony lost, certainly.
Begone, era of white supremacy and racism! Begone, history, heritage, pride and civility! Hell, begone all ye old, dirty, usurping, 0-culture crackers! Comes now the era of the SJW, the post-1965 Amerika!

But, seriously, congratulations to the people of the Big High-Crime Drainage Ditch. All their problems are now solved. Never again need they fear: ridiculously, hilariously failed schools; high unemployment; crime to make Detroit wince; gangs; drugs; welfare careerism by the generation; illiteracy; an economy as stagnant as their beloved swamp; the swamp; 110% humidity; tropical diseases; public corruption; public urination; public vomiting; vagrancy; illegal gun raids; looters; Superdome sodomy and rape sprees; police looters, and; the next Katrina.
Getting rid of one old white man accomplished so much. Two men – I think they did away with Gen. Beauregard too, him and his horse. Two men and a horse gone and N.O. becomes paradise on earth. It’s like Newspeak for the statuary aware – out with the old and tainted and in with a better, brighter, if lower and dumber future. You will see this improvement immediately upon your next visit to N’Awlins. You will; I’ve made my last trip.
This pitiful episode, and the hundreds like it around the faltering U.S., do lend some optimism to the prospect of one day tearing down other monuments – those to Amerika’s favorite plagiarist, drunken womanizer, and communist. I think the FBI files will be unsealed in ten years or so.
Until then, in honor of anti-Southern hatred in N’Awlins and elsewhere, I leave you with this:
I do not give a damn!
I love Fred Reed. I mentioned, a while back, my admiration for James Altucher and Vox Day. I should have included Fred in that company, so I do so, now. Read his weekly articles at Fred On Everything.
Fred lives in the hills somewhere around Guadalajara and/or Lago de Chapala. His geography, wit, and previous experience allow him ample firepower to tackle the pressing issues of our late day.
This week he, again, delves deep into the uncomfortable cesspool of the American underbelly (or greater society as it’s also known). His thoughts center on the late madness in Charlotte and associated pathology.
And they attack whites. It doesn’t matter to them who did what to whom. An African cop in an African city with an African police chief shoots an African criminal, and the rioters attack whites. In Milwaukee a black cop shot a black criminal and the tribesmen called for burning white suburbs. We seeing an episodic, one-sided–so far–race war. We will not admit it as then we would have to do something about it, and we do not know what.
It is coming. One day rioting blacks will try to loot the wrong store, burn the wrong house, beat the wrong white man, and hell will cut loose. Talking about law-abiding blacks, law-abiding whites, will make no difference at all. There were law-abiding Protestants, law-abiding Catholics in Ireland. Did that stop the violence?
Three solutions, or ameliorations, offer themselves: Repression of rioting and enforcement of the law. Segregation. And having it go on forever or blow up hugely. Choose. Refusal to choose selects option three.
Nobody is talking about this issue. At least not honestly talking. There’s some chanting. A little looting. Rioting, burning, maiming, murdering, beating and robbing – but no talking. No thinking. Consider, if you can get away from the TeeVee long enough his three choices. We’re on a default collision course with the third.

This is the same sort of debacle Europe faces regarding the unchecked migrations and invasion. We face that too, to a lesser but growing, degree.
Does this upset you? For any reason? Good. That means you are thinking about it, at least subconsciously. Thinking might lead to acting – acting for better solutions. Doing nothing leads to some inevitability too.
Fred is also big on science, culture, education, and politics. I don’t know if he’s a cigar brother. I imagine he is.
Years ago, new into my legal career, I was eager to help as many people as possible. I was also active in a wonderful church. I consider a particular church “good” if it: is faithful to the Gospel and the early traditions of The Church; is led my a personable yet strict priest, and; is composed of decent parishioners. These things usually go together but not always. Sometimes they are all lacking – a bad church.
Anyway, I volunteered constantly in a variety of ways, to include a little pro bono legal counseling when necessary. My success and happiness led me to contact Catholic Social Services of Atlanta. I thought that there, with them, I could help the maximum number of people. I wasn’t just thinking law either.
By telephone I spoke with a director of something, a jovial enough seeming woman. We agreed to meet one afternoon and discuss what they were doing and how I could help.
We met at a fast food place somewhere between Marietta and Woodstock; I can’t remember exactly. At first the meeting seemed to go well as she told me about what she did and the organizations needs de jure. I then took the opportunity to explain my philosophies and what I thought I could do to help.
Some of our brief conversation centered on race and how a large portion of Services clients were lower-income blacks in the city. I took that as a cue for me to speak my mind on the subject. I said something along the lines that Dr. King had wanted to raise everyone up together – all races improving in harmony to accomplish new wonders. That is what he wanted, his dream.
I then noted how the government and various interests had done everything possible to give the appearance of integration while insidiously conspiring to lower all people down past the current lowest denominator. That was how you could have black mayors, city councilors and legislators (no Barack at that time), and black celebrities and executives and still have a hopelessly mired black underclass. Worse, I went on, the system was dragging down whites and everyone else.
Helping everyone shake off oppression and rise up was my goal, I told her. It was obviously the wrong thing. I said some other stuff but I had lost her. It was clear that I did not, would not, fit the agenda.
I’m guessing she was an SJW – a shrieker interested in prolonging problems in order to keep her job and to have something to shriek about. The thought of actually solving the problems horrified her as did my criticism of the government and the “system”.
I know now that CSS is an SJW organization. Sure, your local office may be honestly interested in helping society. But the big city branches and the national front are only interested in advancing a liberal, anti-American, anti-freedom agenda. They are deep into a host of social problems including, but not limited to, importing radical Islam into America and the West. It’s as big a scandal as the sex abuse cover-ups. It needs to be rooted out.
Heck no, I wasn’t a good fit. Our meeting ended awkwardly. They never returned my calls. I suppose we were better off without each other.
Then, today, I read about a racial attack in Cleveland, Ohio. It brought the above back to memory.
It seems that a group of seven young white men were walking the street when they were attacked by a gang (also of seven) who chanted “Black Lives Matter!” The gang beat down the walkers and then robbed them and ran off. The chant was a mere cover call for robbery – nothing to do with social justice at all.
Interestingly, the gang was interracial – five blacks and two whites. See their mug shots (six of the seven have been arrested):
News 19, Cleveland.
How wonderful! Black and white thugs coming together! Post racial America at its finest.
This is exactly what I was talking about twelve (?) years ago. Thirteen? (Long time). Instead of coming together for something positive, too often the races unite for debased criminality. This incident is not anomalous. It is pathetic.
I also find the success of a numerically even odds encounter a little strange. I suppose the victims were seven modern American men – weak. Then again, maybe they were all surprised. Maybe weapons were involved. Still, I’m not entirely sure I could have taken the whole gang alone but I know I could have at least made a dent in them.
Wouldn’t it be great if people would wise up and act civilized? Just act it if they can’t be it. Wouldn’t it be great if decent people fought back? I’m done with trying to “help” through corrupt organizations. Now I will just bring stories like this to your attention. Those who can make good out of it will. I’m helping.
In the near future (soon, soon, I promise) I’ll have my personal anti-terrorism book out. The main title is, for now, Fight Back! It will cover protecting oneself from ISIS agents as well as from street thugs like the above-pictured ramble.
We also need to fight back against those who have actively worked to retard society and lower all groups into helpless victim-hood and misery. They’re as bad as ISIS or worse.
Historically, I experience a summer slow-down in blog views. It’s that time of year again. I’m also tired of late and working on other things. Yesterday, I took a great little mini vacation. I had a great time.
This morning, recovering, I looked at the news; it seems like the whole world is coming unglued. It isn’t, any more than usual, but it looks very bad. I don’t know if my following list provides perspective or not, but here it is.
Neither of these men needed to be or deserved to be gunned down.
There is no war on the police, per se, though there easily could be.
“Blowback” is a real thing.
There are 14 other occupations in America more lethally dangerous than being a police officer. Some are many times more dangerous. Logging is a dangerous job.
The cops are not out to murder blacks, per se, though it certainly seems like it.
The cops kill more whites every year than blacks. It’s the percentages and perceptions that drive BLM. You really can’t blame them, though…
Statistically speaking in terms of homicides, black people represent the largest danger to other black people.
A glance and a search around the internet will reveal more than a few whites being beaten, tazed, harassed, and killed by the cops – for nothing.
Still, white people are most dangerous to other white people.
There are criminals out there but most “crime” in America shouldn’t honestly be classified as such.
There are many bad apples in the barrel but many police officers are just plain people doing a job the best they can.
Too many people, of all colors, professions, etc., are killed all the time for essentially nothing. This should really end.
A murderer is a murderer, even if he wears a special costume and a badge.
It’s wrong to murder anyone, even if they’re wearing a badge.
America is a safer place now than it has been in decades. One wouldn’t think that given all the news of murders, hatred, and terrorism. It’s the speed of the reporting and all the camera phone.
The instant and constant reporting is new to human history.Maybe it’s a good thing, maybe it will help stamp out the last vestiges of violence and stupidity.
Different peoples are different. That’s why they’re different peoples.
Most people, despite being different, are really almost all the same on a day-to-day and individual to individual level. Most get along pretty well together.
Most individuals are, all in all, fairly decent.
Groups of people start having problems.
Many (maybe even a majority of) Americans, regardless of age, sex, race, income, geographical location, etc., have a really hard time properly operating a motor vehicle.
Those groups of individuals who, as groups, start to have problems, resort to government as a solution to their problems.
Government never has any solutions.
Government, once it takes hold, gains a life of its own, a life of dominance and control.
If the government can’t find a problem to not solve, it will create one. Or a hundred.
Certain little elite numbers of people and institutions traditionally seize on government power to further their own interests.
These elites are highly effective in plotting different people (or even similar people) against each other. This creates an atmosphere of fear and chaos which greatly assists the perception that more law may be the answer. It’s a self-sustaining machine, very expensive and very dangerous.
Many turn a blind eye to all of the above (unless it directly affects them) not because they are stupid, but because they would rather concentrate on the more pleasant, even trivial aspects of life. Understandable. Some are just stupid. Others are lazy. Again, the cameras and phones may help clarify or cure some of this.
“On the street” blacks and whites tend to look and behave mostly the same to me.
Many blacks and whites “on the street” irritate the hell out of me (if I let them).
I have a lot of friends, white and black. I’m rather fond of them.
There are other colors than black and white. The same rules generally apply to them as well.
For my own trivial pursuits, I like football. It’s getting really difficult to watch the average game; I keep waiting and waiting (usually until the end of the fourth quarter) for the football to break out of the otherwise ridiculous circus side-show.
A small group of bankers long ago discovered how to completely control government. Government long ago discovered how to completely control the people. Both groups have done a remarkably good job for themselves. Kudos to them (and damn them). All of this is mostly done in the open. Oddly, the people still haven’t figured it out. Shame on them (and hopes they will yet wake up).
Mencken wrote about imaginary hobgoblins. They still don’t exist for the most part. Some, however, have actually come to life. ISIS comes to mind.
Banning guns won’t help blacks, most cops, or anyone else. These things are just tools. It makes as little sense as banning chain saws to “help” loggers.
Gun bans don’t work. Neither to wars. That is unless by “work” one means “help the government become even stronger and more dangerous”. Then, they work great.
People like James Pearce and Gersh Kuntzman denounce and blame ordinary persons for committing imaginary crimes and for being “nuts” in the criminally, nutty manner possible. This isn’t a case of the pot calling the kettle black. This is a case of psychopathic lunatics trying to project their own illnesses onto the general population. What happened to the asylums?
This rant went on a little longer than I intended. I’ll stop it now.
This morning’s coffee is struggling to power up my brain. So it is that my daily perusing of the news is a little off, maybe jaded.
For a few sleepy minutes I thought about commenting on this week’s university stupidity. I guess I just did… Missouri is having racial issues of unclear origin. Sad. At Yale, bastion of the vaunted Ivey League, students had difficulty with their own Halloween costumes. Very sad. Officials at Yale, Cornell, Syracuse, Vassar and Oberlin want to destroy Constitutionally protected rights. That may or may not have anything to do with costumes or racism. Pathetic.
I tire extra early this week of the same old American idiocy. You may look at the above links if you care.
Instead! I implore you to watch this cool video! It’s not everyday ones sees a giant alligator at Home Depot.
Channel 2, Houston.
A small, possibly insane woman wrestled down the magnificent 800 pound beast in a Houston suburb. Cue BOC’s Godzilla! With the help of a police officer, a dude(tte?) with a rope, and a forklift, the little lady got the dinosaur off to a new home far away from the annoying Christmas displays, lumber, and toilet parts of modern suburbia.
It’s a reminder that, despite the persnickety, ever offended higher “education” crowd, there are still some real Americans left. That, and some fable-worthy animals.
See you later, alligator!
