American Awakening: Identity Politics and Other Afflictions of Our Time by Joshua Mitchell may be worth reading. Here’s a summary.

America seems to have gone mad. It still is the world’s richest and most powerful country, with the oldest continuous government on earth, yet it is in deep crisis and divided between hostile camps that reject each other’s legitimacy. Paradoxically, what made America strong also makes it inherently fragile. Joshua Mitchell, a professor of government at Georgetown University, presents a cogent diagnosis of America’s dark night of the soul in a remarkable new book that should be required reading for anyone who wants to make sense of today’s United States.

A Chinese acquaintance quips, “Now you are having your own Cultural Revolution.” In fact, the criticism and self-criticism sessions imposed on corporate employees and school personnel to root out hidden racism recall Mao’s Red Guards. But America is not China, and this is not a Cultural Revolution; it is an eruption of Christian religious feeling channeled into secular obsessions.

Asia Times’s review presents a somewhat jumbled but still compelling portrait. I may just pick this one up and report back in a while. If you’d like to beat me to it, check here.

A Matter of Trust

Well, what do you know? The homogenous American people of 1970 were much more trusting of each other than the assorted Tower of Babel 2.0 USians of 2020. Even the WSJ notices now, even as they can’t find the plain answer.

But as trust theorists have dug deeper, they’ve found that this negative effect is largely correlated not with diversity itself but with segregation. When ethnic groups are concentrated in small geographical areas and have little contact with one another, distrust is high; with greater contact, the effect shrinks. And while ethnic diversity has increased in the U.S. considerably since 1980—around a 50% increase as measured by the National Equity Atlas Diversity Index—ethnic segregation has decreased somewhat.

So, it’s not diversity, it’s just the natural product of diversity? Bullshit. The cartoon picture in the article says it all. Different peoples are not the same, obviously, and they obviously resort to skepticism when dealing with others. And politics has almost nothing to do with it, nor economics; all we have now are “others.”

The America of 1970, already just beginning to feel the horrible effects of 1965, was still about 85% White European – down from about 90% twenty years earlier. Now, where are we? 58%? Whatever it is, it’s falling towards just another plurality in a sea of incompatibility from every corner of the globe. This was the plan and it worked perfectly, causing the destruction of the American Nation. We can trust that the intentions of its authors were utterly evil.

Since 1965, the US has been sold a bill of goods about the “benefits” of diversity. A new study sheds light:

Abstract

Does ethnic diversity erode social trust? Continued immigration and corresponding growing ethnic diversity have prompted this essential question for modern societies, but few clear answers have been reached in the sprawling literature. Taking this as point of departure, this article reviews the existing literature on the relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust through a narrative review and a meta-analysis of 1,001 estimates from 87 studies. The review clarifies the core concepts, highlights pertinent debates, and tests core claims from the literature on the relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust. Several results stand out from the meta-analysis. We find a statistically significant negative relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust across all studies. The relationship is stronger for trust in neighbors, and when studied in more local contexts. Covariate conditioning generally changes the relationship only slightly. The review concludes by discussing avenues for future research.

Rest assured that, despite the findings, the lies will continue.

From The Week, comes a new, tired look at the lack of Faith in the remains of Post-Amerca. Of course, they can’t describe it as such. Rather, they keep the matter centered around the god of power and politics.

Yes, Trump is awful, but he’s not a demonic figure. He’s a buffoon, a fool, a portrait in ignorance, rapaciousness, and groundless self-regard. That an entire political party, from grassroots voters on up to leading officeholders, bow down before him and parrot his bilious lies is pathetic and alarming. But it’s also … a little funny. Not because nothing matters, but because lots of things do — and this is something that Trump and his ridiculous party appear not to understand. Like a man convinced he’s Superman running headlong into a brick wall he’s sure will crumble on impact, allowing him to crash through unscathed to the other side, Trump acts like he can conjure a re-election out of thin air and positive thinking, even as he consistently trails his opponent by nearly eight percentage points.

Could it work? Possibly. But probably not. And that’s kind of funny, too. So go ahead and laugh out loud from time to time at the Trump travesty. Just don’t think it’s because nothing matters.

Buffoon, yes. It’s good that they see our beloved national clown as non-demonic. Kudos, a pretty good piece, but one that misses the Spiritual point. It’s not the politics that have people down and out. It’s their lack of Faith in Jesus Christ (who cannot be mentioned, Nietzsche standing in). They also increasingly lack intelligence, so they are, by the combination, given to believe nonsense like the 200,000(!) COVID deaths scar tactic used in the article. That, and they keep going along with the entire hoax even as the economy tanks and the country burns.

It is and is not a laughing matter.

Secular neo-pagan heathens essentially worship themselves, society, or the state. As corporations are just tacky state-created fake entities, it makes sense that they are cashing in on the pseudo-religious craze.

That sense of alignment with the divine, of guidance and belonging, of comfort and solidarity once provided by the act of congregation – that maybe got soiled or complicated by things like child sexual abuse scandals or a religious community that struggled to incorporate cultural shifts like social justice movements – can now be easily replaced by the same employer who recently refused to add dental to your health benefits. By promoting “mindfulness” and “intention”, by participating in group rituals, by making even routine tasks meaningful and soulful, employers can make the work day a kind of spiritual practice.

…

This is just the next inevitable step in the secularization process that divides ancient tradition from its larger contexts or meanings.

Read the whole article, commentary on the “nonsensical” and all. Is there not a certain sulfurous smell about this trend? Does the company town really need a company church temple?

Whatever Happened To Bat Boy?

Remember Bat Boy? The Weekly World feature-creature from the previous century, tragically born looking half like Bennie Shapiru and half like Nosferatu? Yeah, I hadn’t heard much about him either lately. Some say he’s now a public school administrator in California. Or, it could be that like honest politicians, he never really existed. Who knows?

But … Good Lord, Almighty, we have some real freaks in his place.

Way back in June of 2018, at TPC, I warned about the rise of insane people who think they are vampires and who act accordingly. Along the way, I’ve made mention of some additional letters in the devil’s rainbow-colored acronym: V, for vampires; P, obviously for pedophiles, and; C, for cannibals. I’m not making this stuff up and it is serious. They’re not even trying to hide it now.

Slowly, but surely, they’re letting the truth seep out. Consider this story. Get past the “staying young” angle, although these freaks are typically obsessed with youth. It’s not just a trend for the “super-rich” either. Also, kindly overlook the tabloid source; these same rumors and allegations have appeared elsewhere and with too much similarity to discount.

Take a look at the overt weirdness, and also, see if you can spot some of the thinly-veiled themes that lend sad credence to VP&C: young blood, “health” sodomy, etc.

Now, a great cop-out. I’m working on something similar for another magazine, one of many projects heating up. So, I’m going to leave you with the links. And, yes, I cut this one short. Honestly, I just ran out of steam for the topic. Sorry.

*This is the first weekly column, denoted as such, to run outside TPC. Quality will improve tomorrow. Or next week. The next one will be back to normal – if we have that around here. MB, feel free to grab or link this or any other!

Never let it be said that the mainstream media is out of touch with reality or in some way beholden to Lucifer. CBS News is on it! They’ve tackled head-on the horrors of 430,000+ child murders already committed in America this year lgbtP obsession with children child marriage.

About one in five children around the world is married, according to a new report from the United Nations Population Fund — and underage marriage is not just an issue in other countries. In the United States, more than 200,000 minors were married between 2000 and 2015; most were girls and more than 80% were married to an adult, according to data analyzed by Frontline.

“It’s extremely prevalent here in the United States,” said Donna Pollard, the founder of Survivors’ Corner, which advocates for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, abuse and exploitation. Pollard, who is from Kentucky, was married to a man nearly twice her age when she was 16 years old.

If there were no other problems to fret over, this might be justified. The slant and selectivity give away a few things. First, they’re upset that these children were not aborted. Second, they’re upset these children are not turned over to the rainbow brigade for processing. Third, they’re upset that anyone still gets married, especially in the old-fashioned hetero manner. Ye cats! Some of these marriages might result in more children who aren’t sacrificed to Moloch. It’s time to burn a “racist” statue of an elk.

Perhaps the best “Government School =” article yet!

The greatest benefit of the CoronaHoax is the full exposure of the hoax and failure of public education.

The shutdown of schools across America, both public and private, has thrown the lives of parents into an upside-down struggle. And now, in the name of safety, the Centers for Disease Control are nearly guaranteeing the destruction of public schools in the United States.

They don’t mean to, of course. After all, public schools are the government-run and government-approved schools. But right now, every single parent across America is homeschooling. We are all getting a look at the shortcomings of curriculum, bureaucracy, and the people involved. While some teachers have risen to the occasion and tried their absolute hardest to attend to the educational and mental well-being of their students, there are some teachers who are just mailing it in. And there are kids and families that are mailing it in as well. The situation, as it stands right now, is not a sustainable one.

States and school districts, now that most have been shut down for the remainder of this school year, are frantically trying to assess how the next school year will look in an age of “social distancing” and mask wearing. And then the CDC just released guidelines on school reopening.

The CDC Guidelines – sure to drive the last nail in. We should push the DOE to “codify” them through the CFR so as to be binding on the local schools.

To all the parents seeking private homeschool teachers or tutors – a massive growth industry – please dispense with the “certification” requirements. Learn the minimum your state requires (likely not much) and just do that. Adding the credentialism back in adds the risk of cross-contamination. This is the time to break from the whole pathetic system. See my Ed Page for more ideas.

Regret and a Few Other Items

Before the warranty ran out, they used to come to our house. I can still see those old, green Sears Roebuck and Company service trucks rolling up the long gravel driveway. After the warranty expired, when the little riding mower needed tuning – and it usually did – we had to take it to the store. In all circumstances, they kept the blades sharp. Surgically sharp.

One day the old man was circling through some tall grass in the backyard. As he passed by where my maybe four-year-old self stood just off the carport, something flew out of the deck chute. It landed and started hopping. I investigated. At first, I thought the large toad had been very lucky. It seemed okay. Then, I noticed its head. The top was missing, sheared off by those surgically-sharp blades. The cranial space where I supposed a frog’s brain should reside was empty, an open concave depression. Via hyper-lobotomization, Craftsman instantly converted this poor amphibian into a politician! It didn’t seem to mind, however, continuing to blink and hop. Content with the transformation, Toadie disappeared around the corner, out of sight, and out of memory until recalled by recent events.

Part three in a developing series about education in the new abnormal will come along in the near future. I hope. For now, it’s Regret and some other odds ‘n ends. We all have regrets. Here’s mine:

In 1915, Regret became the first (of three) girly horses to win the Kentucky Derby. This accomplishment came without the benefit of and fifty-seven years in advance of Title IX. Some suggest she was the original gurl-power inspiration behind the WNBA. What’s your excuse?

Fear, you say? Well, you should be afraid. Some people throw around the word “fear” like it’s a bad thing, like it’s that other, really bad “F” word, you know, freed@m. Fear is good! We were given fear to help us be afraid. Fear is an American Value – life, libertine, and the pursuit of fear. Remember, we must socially distance ourselves because we’re all in this together. As Duuuuh-bya “The Decider” Bush just remarked: “If we don’t rise the virus, we’ll can’t be beat again. Heh, heh, heh.” No, I still don’t miss him yet.

I also don’t miss going to the grocery store without constantly being reminded that we all need to “stay safe” – cause that’s just what I think of when I go to the grocery store! I don’t miss people walking whichever damned way they liked down the aisles, buying as much bacon as they wanted. I certainly don’t miss the days when nobody cared about you because you hadn’t yet put on the mask. Where yo mask? Wear your mask!

Just kidding! I really, really, really care about your fear and saaaaaaaafety (imagine a sheep bleating that word, painfully). However, I must inform you that the mask probably isn’t enough.

Let’s flatten the curve. Get that disinfectant inside you somehow. The invisible enemy can’t win if we all pretend we’re astronauts. As such, do it right! Wear a gosh-darned NBC suit! That means a total hermetic seal and an independent air supply. Order your suit HERE. Don’t forget the SCBA kit! And, remember, all the protective gear in the world is worthless if you don’t decontaminate before you take it off. Get a decent shower booth or airlock for Fauci’s sake! Yeah, yeah, it’s a little pricey. Just do it. We have a war to win.

Speaking of war, I have to admit that the Imperial biowarfare attack on China and Iran has been a smashing success. What appears to be sloppy blowback is nothing more than spectacular confirmation that the people will put up with anything – while demanding more. And more is coming…

Speaking again of war, something is amiss in the Pacific Ocean. You’ve not heard about it from the mainstream media, so it must not be that important. Even if it is just the usual advanced decay of a dying empire, rest assured that if a swarm of sea-skimmers sends a carrier or two to the ocean floor, all deceased crewmen will be counted by the CDC as “virus” deaths.

The CDC’s numbers are about as funny as what comes out of the Treasury. It occurred to me this weekend that the Empire has racked up as much debt THIS YEAR as it and the former Republic did from about 1789 until the mid-to-late 1990s. By the end of this year, the equivalence might span from 1789 until around 2008. How does the $10 Trillion ANNUAL DEFICIT sound to you? Yeah! If only we had a Republican Senate and a conservative businessman in the White House! The good news is that we’re flattening the invisible economy. The Fed has printed nearly an entire year’s GDP *POOF!* of new fake money, in only about eight months. Hold our beer, China. We’re setting records! USA! Usa. u…

The Real Regret

Okay, and now we come to a literal pandemic, the one that’s 1,000 times deadlier than the Hoax of ‘20. We also find out if child murder gets added to The List of subjects that may not be criticized (the too real story). The great horror of our sad time is abortion. I’m not in any way suggesting that Eric Rudolph had the right idea about the clinics, I just wanted to type “Eric Rudolph” and “the right idea” twice in one sentence. But I do agree with Ann Barnhardt: we may effectively call the true American national date of death as January 22, 1973.

There’s been much buzz recently about homeschooling. I’m for it while the usual suspects are against it. For them, home school is somehow an authoritarian abomination but home abortion is the right (and now easy) thing to do. The modern magic of the “TelAbortion” has helped double the rate of infanticide in some states. At a time when decent people could expect another baby boom, Americans are adding to the most ghastly set of statistics ever assembled. In the past 47 years, the great and exceptional dead nation has slaughtered 62 Million of its own children, 300,000 of them killed in the first four months of this year. With figures like this, one need not even contemplate the unimaginable international toll.

What are we to do about all of this? Just blink and hop along? At least the brainless frog didn’t chase after my dad, demanding more.
