As a rule, they have no ideology and no ideas.

A list of the 40 “best” conservative commentators:

40) Susan Stamper Brown
39) Larry Elder

37) Mollie Hemingway
36) John Ziegler
35) Karol Markowicz
34) Michael Brendan Dougherty
33) Erick Erickson
32) Mike Adams
31) David Harsanyi
30) Dan Gainor
29) Quinn Hillyer
28) Andrew Klavan
27) Rachel Alexander
26) Michael Barone
25) Kyle Smith

7) Kevin Williamson
6) Matt Lewis
5) David French
4) Kurt Schlichter
3) Matt Walsh
2) Jonah Goldberg
1) Ben Shapiro

No, I’m not jealous about the exclusion. My sad devotion to the ancient cigar religion turns off many; my free-firing at the GOP and the robots gets most of the rest.

There are a few respectable thinkers on the list, notably: Larry Elder; Mike Adams; ANN COULTER (how the hell is she not No. 1?); John Stossel; Walter Williams; Michelle Malkin; VDH (a liberal!), and; David Limbaugh. If this were an honest list and based on intelligent observations, then Coulter, Stossel, and Williams would be on top.

AND, where is Pat Buchanan? (This is a list of conservatives, right?!) Or Paul Craig Roberts? Taki? Vox Day? Oh, yes. They are of the real right, so not wanted in this mix.

If one clicks down amongst the older rankings, one finds a parallel ascendency/descendancy of sorts. Coulter was, rightfully, in the top spot. Mark Steyn was up that way once upon a time. Things change.

Speaking of changes, what, exactly has been conserved these, say, past 50 years? The government is larger than ever. The debt is insurmountable. The unfunded liabilities have become laughable. Half the populace recieves benefits without paying taxes. The economy rests upon paper, digits, and threats. The currency (what stands in for it) is worthless. Troops in just about every nation. Tens of millions aborted. An effective ban prices out of practicality the real Second Amendment arms. The average IQ falls. [________] inequality rises. The demographics, mostly, do not resemble The Posterity. America ceases to resemble America.

Good jobs, guys and gals! At least we all still agree on football, right?

As usual I am, now, plugging through several books, some I’ve mentioned before. Some may be reviewed here and at Amazon. One which definitely will (eventually) is The Last Closet by Moria Greyland, Castalia, 12/12/17.

51HbktWZQoL

Castalia/Amazon.

It’s a 5-star book but my recommendation is qualified. For full “enjoyment” one requires, I think: a slightly higher IQ; an interest in the darkness of society (very dark), and; a cast iron stomach. The subject matter is horrendous, as related first-hand by a victim. Not going into details yet but this book covers some of the worst evil imaginable.

A side affect is that, as sometimes happens, this book has prompted me to reread another, older book. In this case: Dracula by Bram Stoker. The Last Closet, non-fiction, is vastly darker, scarier, making Harker’s expedition seem like a run-of-the-mill real estate closing.

Speaking of dark … a new Disney SJW Star Wars movie is in theaters. This is the first one that I am not thrilled about seeing. I will see it because: 1) Star Wars, and 2) 40 years of devotion. I do not like the look and feel of the reviews and spoilers I read. The Last Jedi may be the last Star Wars movie for me. Not sure until I see it. You’ll hear back, then.

And, yes, there are those other reviews I said were coming. Just you wait. BBQ a porg to pass the time.

Okay. Here we go again with the flying car thing. Soon. Next year. Next spring, they say.

Samson Motors has announced the Switchblade is ready for launch in spring 2018.

And more than 240 people have already reserved a model from the Oregon-based company.

The two-seater vehicle has extendable wings and a retractable tail that fold out.

It will have a cruising altitude of 13,000 feet and will reach speeds of 200mph in the air and 100mph on the ground.

The mind boggling creation is 5.1m in ground mode – the same length as the standard Mercedes-Benz S-Class – and would expand to 6.2m in the air when the tail is extended.

Call me a skeptic, but I’m a little skeptical here. Maybe it’s the 25 years of waiting and listening to ever-nebulous promises. Jades a man. Anyway, maybe this Sampson has it in the bag air wind-tunnel.

Sampson-flying-car-1170029

Sampson/The Sun.

200 MPH at 1-3-0, eh. The thing is certainly plausible, no doubts about that. It’s just the timing. Spring of 2018? Do they really mean 2023? 2028? Never?

I’m curious. How many of the 240 reserve buyers requested a test flight? You ever buy a plane or a car without flying/driving it first? Do they even have a test model? Simulator? I’ll warrant the collective answer is “no.”

As I’ve said before, I’ll believe it when I fly it. Until then … wait … then is only until next Spring. Let’s give them through the end of the season. Heck with it, I’ll just call it a July 1, 2018 delivery. Then we’ll see. Maybe I’ll do a YT video of me on a test run (or more likely of me listening to excuses and promises on the phone). We’ll see.

In the meantime, I am proud to tentatively announce that I will SOON develop, release, and market a flying car of my own (name yet to be determined). More on that later. For now, just know that it’s going to be nuclear powered, capable of Mach 1+ while carrying up to 8 passengers, and may be exoatmospheric. Price, like the name, to be determined – she’ll be worth the money, trust you me. Expect production to commence no later than the third quarter of 2138 at the latest.

Giant Cigar Misidentified as Derelict Alien Spacecraft

Astronomers and cigar enthusiasts were recently startled and delighted to discover a 1 Million Ton cigar speeding through the solar system. Some are floating ridiculous ideas about it.

Today, scientists led by Stephen Hawking are using high-tech scanners to discover if a huge, cigar-shaped ‘comet’ is in fact, an alien probe.

Now, one astronomer claims that the space rock, named Oumuamua, could be an alien spacecraft with broken engines that is tumbling through our solar system.

Dr Jason Wright from Penn State University suggests that a broken alien spacecraft move in exactly the same way as the interstellar comet.

Oumuamua is about a quarter of a mile long, 260ft wide and currently travelling at 196,000mph.

Rather than moving through space like other space rocks, astronomers believe that it is ‘tumbling’ through our solar system.

Writing in his blog, Dr Wright, an associate professor of astronomy and astrophysics at Penn State University, says: ‘Such derelict craft would, if they are not travelling so fast that they escape the Galaxy, eventually ‘thermalize’ with the stars and end up drifting around like any other interstellar comet or asteroid.

“Oumuamua” just happens to be Norwegian for dark, oscuro leaf. Coincidence? Surely not.

That’s a giant cigar or I’ve never seen one. PA/Daily Mail.

For the ring gauge counters among you, the Oumuamua HYPER-Toro measures a galaxy-tipping 15,840 X 199,680! And you thought the Girthquake 11 X 90 was impressive…

Such a stogie can only be further proof that God exists, loves us, and wants us to be really, really, really happy. Just seeing the thing is enough to satisfy the curiosity. Catching it, at 196,000 MPH, would prove troublesome – as would clipping and lighting the thing. If you love it, let it go. Carry on, giant cigar, carry on. Godspeed.

There is, I suppose, a tiny chance we just witnessed a piece of long since malfunctioned alien technology. That, or a big rock.

And, speaking of things that rock, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the following:

Freedom Prepper Wear is now available from Freedom Prepper!

Jimmah had his peanuts; Ronnie had his jellies. Trump has aspartame and teeveeeee (in rather extreme quantities).

12 cans of Diet Coke per day!

President Donald Trump drinks roughly 12 cans of Diet Coke every day, according to a lengthy New York Times profile about how he grapples with the daily demands of the presidency.

Trump is famous for his voracious consumption of cable news and tendency to fire off impulsive tweets when he’s displeased with the way he’s portrayed in the media. According to the Times report, the only people allowed to touch the TV remote are Trump and the technical support staff. The Times said the president watches up to eight hours of TV per day.

4 – 8 hours of the plug-in drug!

People close to Trump told The New York Times that Trump spends at least that much time in front of a TV each day, and sometimes spends as many as eight hours watching television.

The Times reports that Trump begins each day around 5:30 a.m. by turning on CNN before quickly flipping to Fox News’s “Fox & Friends.” He occasionally watches MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” because it works him up, Trump’s friends told the Times.

Wow…

This, being about 7 times my annual consumption of these things – each day!, may explain all the Tweets.

Anyway, to each his own. At least the man smokes a good cigar after a nice, rare steak. Oh, wait….

Failed Terror in NYC: Put That in Your Pipe Bomb and Smoke It

Another day in the Big Apple, another visit from ISIS. Luckily, this one – all the way from Bangladesh (via Brooklyn) – was incompetent. I always get the sulfur/charcoal/saltpeter ratio mixed up. You?

Taxi driver and/or electrical worker and/or homicide enthusiast, Akayed Ullah, arrived at NYC’s main bus terminal early this morning on a mission. Seems his plan was to detonate a homemade bomb in the middle of rush hour. The device had other ideas, detonating prematurely and pitifully. *POOF!*

The explosion happened around 7:20am, in an underground tunnel linking the Port Authority Bus Terminal to Times Square.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Akayed Ullah, took the A subway train to Port Authority, got off and was walking east towards Times Square when a ‘low-tech’ explosive attached to his body with Velcro and zip ties partially exploded.

A photo from the scene shows Ullah crumpled up on the ground of the tunnel as police took him into custody. He was then rushed to Bellevue Hospital to be treated for serious burns and cuts to his abdomen and hands. Jack Collins, Sean Gallagher and Anthony Manfredini have been identified as the hero Port Authority Police officers who took Ullah into custody.

Three other people were also injured in the blast for minor injuries like ringing in the ears and headaches. But they were able to talk themselves to local hospitals.

Crafty New Yorkers: talking themselves to the ER: probably on the cellular.

Many speculate he was angered over the recently announced plan to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This would fit with the general reaction of many in his home country, Hamas, and various American and European liberals. He told police he wanted revenge.

Akayed Ullah, 27, who is from Bangladesh and was living in Brooklyn, told authorities he was trying to exact vengeance for Israeli actions in Gaza — where four Palestinians have been killed amid violent protests and airstrikes since President Trump declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel last week, police sources told CNN.

Of course, per my First Law of Terrorism, Ullah was on someone’s radar before today. At the very least they had to look, glancingly, at him seven years ago when he tagged along behind … whomever from Bangladesh.

The miracles of post-1965 chain migration never cease. Car 54, where are you?

An added benefit was that, once again, Americans were treated to seeing their streets look like some Banana Republic:

Perceived security – after the fact. Daily Mail.

Friends, as terrible as this incident was, there is still time to act. That is, if we have the will. We can (and should) ban “assault-style” pipes. I’ve been a hunter for over 30 years and I can tell you that no sportsman needs a pipe. Your pipe will be useless (and pretty silly) going up against an Abrams tank or a nuclear carrier. Only the military needs “hi-capacity” pipes of this nature. Maybe plumbers…

One can’t help but note that I called for banning pipes almost a year and a half ago. I also called for a ban on buses – no buses, no pipe attack at the bus station!

Better to ban these hateful objects of hate that, say, civic nationalism and terrorists.

Two surveys of note came out recently.

The first measured drinking, heavy drinking, and binge drinking around the USA. Unsurprisingly, the District of Corruption (considered as a “state”) came in first for heavies and bingers.

nimbus-image-1512762569811

Detox.net/CDC.

And, in not unrelated news, the District (counted as a city) is just plain dangerous.

Washington ranked 166 out of 182 large cities/metros surveyed. This, despite being tied for first place (with NYC, Philly, and St. Louis) for the highest number of cops per capita.

Mordor on the Potomac has been dismal for decades. However, the standings (both counts) did improve slightly when a particular man departed…

So this morning, as usual, I read today’s Pearls Before Swine panel. It was unusual but unusually good. See it HERE.

nimbus-image-1512674223749

Pearls, Dec. 7, 2017. Pastis/Go Comics.

Based on Pastis’s and Pig’s soul-searching I did a Google search and settled for his (Pastis’s) page at Wikipedia (Infogalactic it’s not, but they try). I found something very interesting.

A while back I noted my Big Four daily comics: Garfield, Pearls, Get Fuzzy, and Dilbert.

It turns out that three of the four have more in common than just my liking them. There’s a Peanuts connections too. Charles Schulz was Pastis’s mentor going into the field. A little later Pastis received public praise from Scott Adams (Dilbert) which launched his career. Pastis later collaborated with and learned from Darby Conley (Get Fuzzy).

I looked around for a connection to Jim Davis and Garfield but couldn’t find one. So I made one. Via this article (and a few in the past) the two titans are hereby linked.

Carry on.

Impeachment Effort Fails: The Brilliance of the Democratic Party

Hilarious news from the Dead City today: efforts to impeach President Trump failed miserably. Against the wishes of their own leadership a gang of Dems led by Al Green of Texas alleged Trump committed the high crimes and misdemeanors of:

“[A]ssociation with “White Nationalism, Neo-Nazism and Hate,” as well as “Inciting Hatred and Hostility…”

(I think those are spelled out in Article 13, Sec. 69).

Said Green, “Friends, whether we like it or not, we now have a bigot in the White House who incites hatred and hostility.”

Despite no mention whatsoever of Russia, 58 Dems voted to move the process forward. The rest of the House, surely acting on orders from Moscow, killed the measure.

Now, now, now … to her credit, Nancy Pelosi “has insisted that any impeachment effort should be put on hold until there is evidence of an impeachable offense.” Imagine that.

Green, not one to be dissuaded, said he would take the issue to the NFL for a communal knee this Sunday. He says that way all 23 fans collectively in attendance may decide the matter.

A few blocks away and at almost the same time, while not seeming at all concerned about his imminent removal from office, the Hater in Chief, literal Hitler, and known inciter of hostility, Donald John Trump, aka THE Neo-NAZI, was busy recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital. (Yes. It does seem ironic when you think about it.) He also vowed to move the U.S. Embassy there from Tel Aviv.

In reaction to Trump’s announcement Hamas vowed a “day of rage.” Perhaps Green should join them?
