For now. Sort of.
About the migrant “caravan,” the law, the election, and the state of FP and PNW.
Have a watch:
Today’s Prepper News Weekly, with a cool interview about Bee Keeping (we aim to please around here…):
Many thanks to Mr. Michael Rigdon, a really cool and dangerous man.
In other news! I just embarked on my most unusual and ambitious venture yet. I applied for a part in an upcoming Clint Eastwood movie. Everyone knows my acting skills (as demonstrated in so many low-budget YT vids) and my deep love of film and popular culture… Heck, it’s Eastwood. When I’m famous, you can say you doubted it….
See, this is a “serious” headshot. Selfie. Shaggy.
Y’all have a good Friday!
First, limping along with the news at FP:
And, a welcome of sorts to the wonderful readers over at The Piedmont Chronicles:
A few remain hidden but the YT editor tells me that last one is No. 100. Wow…
Tom Selleck is hawking reverse mortgages, equity loans aimed at seniors. He says older Americans are woefully under-saved (they are) and the solution is a loan on the equity! Why not?! These things have been around a while. And all that while I’ve thought the smelled funny.
Without much research, my gut reaction is that this is a terrible idea. It might be helpful to some at times, but it looks like, feels like the end of the debt-ification game. Literally, the banksters grab up the last of the assets, issuing new debt in its place. Cannot be a good idea for the economy as a whole: ownership only by the financial elite only benefits the financial elite. Beware.
Some things we can all learn from this, turning tragedy into positive reinforcement. From FP today:
Even better now that the shooter is in custody. Many thanks to a hero.
*Any discombobulation in video is entirely the computer’s fault…
After several months of neglect I decided, tonight, to clean out the comments backlog over at FP. I did this manually, knowing that amidst all the Russian election hackers and China-Bots there might be real people trapped in the Spamville jail. There were. Three. Three out of maybe 700… The good news is that hopefully this will train the WP AI (Perrin hopeful of AI…) to kill this crap automatically in the future. It’s still a new site with a really new reboot on theme.
That works. I’ve been knocking down the spammers, here, for almost 6 years. I rarely get any now. Double-checked tonight and confirmed – only 9 POS attempts over the same time period.
Back to FP, there was more good news! Along with all that shit about free money, porn, free porn money, Costco generic Viagra (who knew?), cat paintings(??), virus invitations, incomprehensible gibberish, and foreign criminal solicitations, I found the most charming spam I have ever encountered.
I found this:
(Posted without gmail address. And, don’t y’all go surfing for the house finisher…).
It was so touching I almost let it pass. Are these not those lost Chicago lyrics we’ve heard legend tell of?
You’re the meaning in my life,
You’re my inhalation…
And to think my prepper shenanigans would make a reclusive web logger run out of the post. Hope he’s (she’s) (it’s?) not AWOL or something. Or maybe he/she/it has given up the crack pipe for whatever the hell post he/she/it/zir was inhaling on there. No idea.
But I do know this gem of a post, highly reflective of this “highly respected web log,” rarely causing run outs, beats the slow Sunday evening alternative: commentary on Emmanuel Macron’s visit to the DC funny farm…
Maybe not too good … but free!
First, if you’ve been following FP News, know that the news has moved:
It moved to the new and improved main FP site:
And, while I was making short videos, I finally got around to a real intro for my YT channel (which you should subscribe to…):
Market research tells us more and more people like watching rather than reading. Thus, the emphasis this year on YT. Seems to be working. Thanks.
That’s all for now. Only for now…
It’s the first FULL day of Spring. I missed the actual start yesterday. Sorry. A little busy.
To make up for it I created a little video for FP (and you) about the recent Bombings in Austin, Texas. Please watch:
We’re off to a blast … sorry again.
More to come. Stay tuned.
Two blurbish news features from FP News. We now summarize some of the day’s prepperish stories for reader convenience (and traffic driving…).
The State of Florida, acting partly on pressures from teenagers, quickly passed a ban on gun ownership by those under age 21. Yes, in Florida, teenagers aren’t old enough to own guns but they are old enough to direct public policy. Curious.
This will surely halt all violent crime in the Sunshine State. There are no criminals (or terrorists) over 21 and everyone knows criminals (and terrorists) respect and obey the law… It is certainly NOT a first step (third, 28th…) towards total gun control.
This isn’t something exactly new. The danger has been publicized for a few years. But it is real. The most prevalent problem is that your phone has been synced and your information is vulnerable (like banking, passwords, etc.). Then, there’s the issue of someone hacking the car and using the controls to kill you. Car companies and our ever-so-benevolent government have known about this and done next to nothing.
The manufacturers are working on even more mobile killing computers and the gubmit is after guns. This all makes good sense as guns kill 1/3 as many Americans as cars.
Either way – you are largely on your own. Be advised.
I don’t recall ever hearing so much about gun control as now. “Common sense” gun control. “Reasonable” gun control. “Hunters don’t need…” It’s coming from the usual sources: The Coalition to Stop Freedom, the Democrat Party, Tide Pod-eating millennial students, the American Pravda. And, now, we’re getting it from: Republicans, The Trump, DELTA, Dick’s Sports, and Walmart.
Some of the hysteria I could almost understand. I am solidly against gun violence, any violence, really. But I’m also against lies, tyranny, and communism.
So, here’s a reminder of who currently favors gun control along with some historical supporters (it’s all about the company one keeps/list in not all-inclusive):
Some actors paid millions to “kill” with guns on screen;
Ho Chi Minh;
Nikita Khrushchev; and
Sure, some of them murdered a few hundred million people but their hearts were (are) in the right place. It’s common sense, really.
The truth is part and parcel with common sense. Tomorrow I’m running a video and a list of gun/murder stats at FP which is intended to interject a little truth into the current mass hysteria. I’ll copy a link here, then.
It will also feature largely into Prepper News Weekly tomorrow.
See you then, comrades.
