Leonid Savin, multipolarity, Turkey

My friend Leonid Savin did a very interesting interview with a Turkish publication.

As translated (and I simply ran a browser version which isn’t the most accurate):

Leonid Savin: the: In the beginning, liberalism was not a totalitarian ideology like it is now. Adam Smith, the father of economic liberalism, spoke of the wealth of nations and cared about the free trade policy or protectionism that the state could use to develop the economy. In fact, he was pro-state and did not mention the free-market norms promoted by neoliberal agents. In the meantime, he never mentioned the invisible hand “ of “pias, but Christian or Muslim unnoticed he spoke about the invisible hand of God, which is in line with the lifestyle of any conservative person. His ideas were distorted by new generations. Like the ideas of the Austrian school of political liberalism, which supports the idea of freedom of expression in the context of diversity of different perspectives, including ideologies.

Now neoliberalism is a totalitarian anti-human ideology that supports many disgusting ideas, such as transgenderism, the legalization of drugs, aggressive teomachy that attacks any religion and its followers. In a sense, neoliberalism promotes various deviations in traditional society that are seen as mental illness or crime. Rene Guenon described it as the forbidden and demonic began to invade the world and change it to its dark essence. It is really hard to resist because it is imposed by the governments of Western countries that have dominated world politics for centuries because of colonialism.

But now we have a good chance because the unipolar era of American hegemony is over. We are now in a multipolar period that needs to be corrected. And we have a chance to strengthen our strategies and policies against the neoliberal order by respecting our traditions. Education is very important, so we must bring new curricula for our schools and universities and reorganize the educational process under our own umbrella, rejecting the Bolonga process and all the destructive practices of student exchanges, Erasmus program, etc.

Read the whole thing, perhaps with a full Yandex or Google translation.

The Saker provides excellent analysis, as usual, about the Turkish retaliation against for the CIA’s bombing in Ankara.

Something quite amazing has just happened.  Following the terrorist attack in Ankara which 34 people and injured another 125, Turkish authorities first declared that they will not accept US condolences.  Then the Turks then launched a military operation against “Kurdish terrorists in northern Syria“.  Turkey then claimed to have neutralized 184 terrorists.

What is not mentioned in those articles is that the target of the Turkish strike was the US-run center for the training and education of PKK militants in Rojava.  There are rumors that the Turks gave the US enough warning time to evacuate most of its personnel.

Does that sound familiar?

Why, yes it does! This episode could easily become number five on my summary list of recent happenings. See that, here, tomorrow at the usual column time, and soon at Reckonin’. NATO and the EU are indeed falling apart. Here’s to hoping the USSA joins them sooner than later. I wonder what RAND’s model would say about Lee’s Army of Virginia of 1863 v. the LGBT- imperial brigades of today?

The GOP, the MSM, the Neocons, and seemingly everyone else can’t get over Trump deciding to get us the hell out of Syria – where the US should have never been in the first place. The hysteria is hilarious:

The drama is nowhere near over. Out of necessity, the Kurds switched sides on Sunday, turning their backs on Washington and signing up with President Bashar al-Assad of Syria, a man the United States has called a war criminal for gassing his own people. At the Pentagon, officials struggled with the right response if Turkish forces — NATO allies — again opened fire on any of the 1,000 or so Americans now preparing to retreat from their positions inside Syria. Those troops are trapped for now, since Turkey has cut off the roads; removing them may require an airlift.

And over the weekend, State and Energy Department officials were quietly reviewing plans for evacuating roughly 50 tactical nuclear weapons that the United States had long stored, under American control, at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, about 250 miles from the Syrian border, according to two American officials.

Those weapons, one senior official said, were now essentially Erdogan’s hostages. To fly them out of Incirlik would be to mark the de facto end of the Turkish-American alliance. To keep them there, though, is to perpetuate a nuclear vulnerability that should have been eliminated years ago.

No, dipshits. It’s a vulnerability that should have never been period. Something about avoiding foreign entanglements… Why do we have any military bases (nukes or not) in any other country? The Empire has its price. Maybe this is it. Time to go home, Yankees.

Terror In Turkey; Terror In Germany

The Russian ambassador to Turkey was murdered by an Islamic terrorist today.

Russia’s ambassador to Turkey has been assassinated by an off-duty police officer in front of terrified witnesses allegedly in retaliation for the crisis in Aleppo.

The gunman -smartly dressed in a black suit and tie – reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” and said in Turkish “We die in Aleppo, you die here” after shooting Ambassador Andrei Karlov in the back.

The attacker was fatally shot by police after killing Mr Karlov and wounding three others in what Russia’s Foreign Ministry has called “an act of terrorism”.

Mr Karlov, 62, was delivering a speech at an art gallery in the capital of Ankara when he was shot from behind in an attack caught on camera, and then shot at least once more at close range as he lay on the floor.

More blessings from the religion of peace. The Mirror.

This isn’t good. The murder is bad enough but this one makes a tense situation much more volatile. The Russians will not tolerate this. Watch for rapid developments in and from this story.

And the world didn’t even have time to process that attack before ISIS (who else?) launched another assault in Berlin, Germany. There, a terrorist drove a large truck through the crowd at a Christmas market – reminiscent of the Nice, France truck attack this summer.

At least nine people have been killed and more than 50 injured after a lorry ploughed through a crowd of shoppers at a busy Christmas market in Berlin.

German police at the scene have indicated the incident is likely to be a terror attack.

The vehicle sped through a crowd of shoppers at the Christmas market on Breitscheidplatz Square near the Kurfuerstendamm Avenue in west Berlin.

According to local reports the driver has not yet been apprehended, and police have now launched a manhunt.

That story is developing also. It happened while I was writing the above Turkey story. Sadly, attacks like this, against Westerners in places like Germany, have almost become routine, the new normal. This trend must be reversed.

The Germans (and the rest of the West) should watch the Russian reaction and emulate it.

ISIS Now Using Child Bombers

This weekend a wedding party in Turkey was destroyed by a child bomber. Fifty people are dead courtesy of ISIS. I hesitate to call the young carrier a suicide bomber because I do not know how or if he was convinced to participate. Also the bomb was remotely detonated.

Mirror, UK.

This is not a new tactic but it hasn’t been seen (or seen often) outside the central, Middle Eastern conflicts. Once ISIS stumbles upon an effective weapon, they tend to use it again and again.

I warned about this earlier this summer. On July 18, 2016 I wrote Things They Might Want To Ban (For Safety).  I was half serious, half mocking then. I noted that bombs should be banned, even though they already are. Then I wrote: “[Ban] Children (banning our move pitiful victims means there won’t be any to pity!)”.  Then I was concerned with children being shot, stabbed, or run over. I didn’t consider the attack angle.

The West uses children in war too, frequently as targets though sometimes for propaganda. This poor little fellow has made the rounds lately:

nintchdbpict000260323304-e1471525911770

The fruits of war. The Sun.

Many are appalled by the picture of suffering. Still, others (in power) will use it to justify more war and, thus, more victims.

I suppose some in the camps of official evil will see this latest attack, like all, as an excuse to try to ban our guns. They will not consider banning idiotic warfare, incessant meddling, nor unchecked immigration. They too reuse their tactics repeatedly.

A Coup? Or a Purge?

The failed coup in Turkey is starting to smell funny.

Some are starting to suggest Erdogan orchestrated the whole thing as an excuse to crack down on civil rights. The speed with which the coup fell apart and the speed with which 1,000s of judges and attorneys are being rounded up suggests this may have been a staged event. Detaining soldiers and generals who sided against the President would be understandable. But, civil servants and attorneys? And, doing it immediately, the next day?

False flag Turkey. Last night I was hoping, that however this went, there would be reforms. I was thinking along the lines are beating back ISIS. Now, it seems things may be getting worse – a government just a tad bit less radical than ISIS trampling civil liberties.

Never, ever trust a government. They’re all coup-coup…

The day after another terror attack in Nice, news of a cover-up from a prior attack. The French government let slip horrifying details about the Bataclan Massacre. The acts committed were truly barbaric. Why not disclose them so the people can see what they face? Do they want this to be the new normal?

Another newsworthy release – but still heavily redacted – the missing 28 pages from the 9/11 report came out. Saudi involvement, to some degree, is pretty obvious. What struck me as extreme was the extensive, nationwide network that existed before 2001 and how much the government seemed to know or suspect (and did nothing about).

And, another military coup in Turkey. This one may not be going so well. The Turkish military has a history of intervention dating to 1960; they are secularists who may be concerned about the Islamist leanings of the Erdogan regime. They may also be tired of fighting a border war with ISIS while simultaneously having to mop up after terror attacks within the borders. If they succeed, which is doubtful, hopefully they will route out the extremists. If they fail, hopefully there will be reforms and a routing. In any event, hopefully this ends as peaceably as possible.

Lastly, while out on my evening jog I saw them. I saw the Pokemon zombies. Actually it looked like they were having fun. Good for them.

Incompetence From Our “JV Team”

Hussein Obama, ever one of intrinsic flippancy, once remarked that ISIS was merely a “JV team” in terms of war-making and of being dangerous. I can’t recall if he said that while playing golf or from a vacation.

The terrorists who shot up and bombed the airport in Istanbul yesterday operated with the planing and efficiency of a special forces team.

A three-part attack beginning with a diversion is a new level of sophistication. That should scare the U.S. and Europe.

Three months after attacking Brussels airport, terrorists have shown in the attack on Istanbul’s international airport an alarming ability to stay one move ahead of the defenses put in place to stop them—an agility in planning that could present a new and serious threat to airports in the U.S.

Most experts agree that the Istanbul atrocity has the hallmarks of ISIS. Even then, the sophistication of how the attack was carried out has surprised them.

It was carried out in a way that suggests the kind of advance intelligence, careful study of a target, and cool execution that would normally be practised by Western special forces.

U.S. officials are showing some concern about the JV team but they’re showing it in Obama’s patented Neverland fashion.

CIA Director John Brennan said that the suicide bombings in Istanbul, Turkey bore the signs of ISIS and should serve as a warning to Americans that the terrorist group is aiming to carry out similar attacks in the U.S.

“I’d be surprised if [ISIS] is not trying to carry out that kind of attack in the United States,” Brennan told Yahoo News Tuesday evening.

…

He said ISIS has so far been unable to attack the U.S. directly because of effective homeland security and intelligence measures, but warned that the militants would continue their attempts to infiltrate American defenses.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper raised similar concerns last month. He told CNN in May that ISIS has the capability to conduct a large-scale Paris-style attack in the U.S.

They haven’t yet but they have the capacity… What was Orlando? JV practice? What happened at the Amarillo Wal-Mart? Who attacked Trump supporters in California? What about San Bernardino? Boston? Am I just imagining that these things happened? Or, are these people blind?

They don’t understand ISIS, a thing they created. ISIS doesn’t need to operate like a traditional state or army; it can call on radical cells and individuals as needed. They don’t consider ISIS a threat even as it rapidly captures territory in multiple countries. They warn about possible future attacks as we are attacked every week. All the while, they stir the mix of terrorism in the Middle East and continue to import enormous numbers of radicals.

Our government is behaving like a JV team. That, or they’re trying to throw the game.

Strategy vs.Tactics: A lesson From Istanbul on Fighting Terrorism

ISIS’s June jihad against the West rolls on. Istanbul has been Western on again and off again for thousands of years. I suppose they’re “on” right now given yesterday’s attack. Forty to fifty are dead and hundreds wounded following the shootings and bombings.

This story is not about the attack, per se – too many of those happening to give full coverage. This is about what you can do about these things – beyond posting flag overlays and “We Are Turkey” or “Istanbul Strong” on Facebook.

There are strategic and tactical measures involved in avoiding and/or dealing with such events. They are related but different.

Strategy: a plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.

Tactic: an immediate item done in support of a strategy.

When confronted by mindless violence and terrorism one can (must) employ some level of strategic thinking. That should include relying, to some degree, on official plans and actions. Turkey sits right on the border of the Islamic State’s wars. They have plans, strategies to keep terrorists out of their country. Should terrorists make it in, they still have alternate plans – airport security, armed police, etc. The United States is in a similar situation, thousands of miles away, thanks to decades of suicidal military and immigration policies.

The best of these types of plans obviously don’t work sometimes. It is therefore important for the individual to modify his personal strategic plans accordingly. Airports and other popular destinations may be terrorist targets of opportunity. Thus, one might want to avoid them if possible. If not, move as deep into the “secured” areas as fast as possible.

The simultaneous usage of firearms and explosives presents a different kind of problem. The knee-jerk reaction of some is to call for a ban on guns. This never works but, even if it did, there’s the bomb issue. Bombs themselves are illegal in most places, their use is certainly illegal. However, it is impossible to make illegal all the simple things one can do to build a bomb. Others have a knee-jerk reaction to such events in calling on good guys with guns to stop the bad guys with guns. In and of itself, this generally works – it did at the Istanbul airport yesterday evening. A terrorist with a gun stopped shooting when a police officer (with a gun) shot him. Then again, there was a bomb.

Tactically speaking, the police and the individual are essentially on the same grounds when terrorists strike – in the “sh!t hits the fan” scenario. In these cases what you do and how you do it can help save your life. If you cannot avoid the situation, how you handle it is critical.

The police officer’s actions in the above-linked story are a case study in fighting modern terrorism. The officer won the gun battle and then had to run for his life before the terrorist detonated his bomb (graphic video is embedded in the story).

nimbus-image-1467216322193.png

Daily Mail. Use the link above to see video.

The safest course of action for surviving these attacks is to get away as fast as possible – run, don’t walk, don’t be a hero. If you can’t run, get behind something solid. If there’s nothing solid, hit the ground with you head pointed away from the attacker and covered by the arms.

If you are armed and engage the terrorist, only do so observing the four cardinal rules of gun safety – they really are universal. Assume the terrorist has a bomb. This is part of “knowing your target.” Assume the bomb will be detonated – either by a wounded/dying terrorist or by your shots themselves. Watch the Daily Mail video and the officer’s actions. It’s his job to rush into danger. In a similar situation you should try to do the same thing (if you must) from behind cover or from a distance.

None of this is pleasant to contemplate but it is reality. It’s a remote reality, like a tornado or a house fire but we routinely practice how to handle those. There are almost too many possibilities to plan against in stopping terrorism but a little something is better than nothing.

ISIS is supposedly our enemy – when we’re not funding and training them. They shoot theater patrons and bomb stadiums when they’re not fighting our enemy (or friend) in Syria … or something.  Very complicated.  Very stupid.  Every other Wednesday we are at war with them.  We bomb hospitals like they bomb soccer games thus demonstrating our moral superiority.

Russia recently began bombing the daylights out of ISIS’s military operations in Syria.  To be sure, Putin has ulterior political motives but his are probably not as murky nor schizophrenic as ours.

Turkey shot down a Russian plane it said had violated Turkish airspace.  Russia disputes the claim.  Washington, never wanting to miss a good time, has sent Air Force F-15s to Turkey to help fight the threat of Russia, which fights the threat of ISIS, which is crossing some stretch of the Texas border into the U.S. right now.

Geo. Washington, in his Farewell Address, 1796, referred to this as the “insidious wiles of foreign influence.” Of course, he would neither recognize nor understand what his homeland as descended into these days.  He might ask that his name be removed from the national capital (“Moronia” might be more appropriate).

Odds are there is more intelligence (far more) in Moscow and in Ankara than in D.C.; things should cool down sufficiently to prevent a sprouting of the giant mushrooms.

If intelligence is lacking in D.C., then it is utterly lost around metro Boston. At least as far as local government schooling is concerned.

In Revere, a North shore suburb, the high school cheerleading captain, Caley Godino, was kicked off the squad after some pitiful nitwits found one of her Tweets “offensive.”  It seems Caley Tweeted, “When only 10 percent of Revere votes for mayor cause the other 90 percent isn’t legal,” as part of a political discussion about illegal immigration. [Revere’s population is about 30% foreign-born].

Local school superintendent and head Nazi in charge, Dianne Kelly, said of Caley’s horrible, racist, offensive (free) speech, “If you’re going to stand up and say something that other people will find offensive- than you need to be prepared to deal with the ramifications of that.”

I see nothing racist in her tweet. Hyperbole I sense. A hint of truth perhaps. Nothing to offend any reasonable person. Then again, the reasonable seem few and far between.

People find everything offensive today.  I’m sure some in Revere find the town’s namesake, Paul Revere, offensive – he was opposed to the illegal invasions of his day (one Tweet if by land, two if …). Many are offended by the existence of white people.  Caley is likely offended she’s not a captain anymore.  Kelly is probably offended Caley is young, attractive and popular (and not PC). I find Kelly a bit offensive; she appears to be a self-righteous Marxist crossbred with a woodchuck.

kelly_smwcg

See what I mean?  Maybe it’s the lighting.  Picture (first one) courtesy of the Revere Ministry of Indoctrination.

By the way, Herr Woodchuck can be reached at 781-286-8226 should you have any comments for her.  Just don’t offend her tiny sensibilities.  I won’t call because I would say something like, “Go to hell, you communist bitch.”  Very insensitive. They might make me an honorary cheerleader just so they could kick me off the squad.

I hope young Caley has learned her lesson: American government schools, where immigration law breaking is tolerated but free speech is not, are a joke and not worth attending.  I would tell her to get a GED and be done with the foolishness.  She might want to consider suing – The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education could help.

Dropping out of the failed system would do her better than any court action. Should she attend college she will find the same hypersensitivity and PC BS – writ large. Maybe she could get an education provided all the silly snowflakes are locked up in their safe places.

I hope this article is not offensive to woodchucks, not all of whom are communists. I’m sure not all educrats are stupid. I’m sure everyone in Washington is. Polys, please don’t get up nuked. Caley, do not give in.
