politicians, rats

Have you ever noticed that for all their partisan bluster politicians are loath to do anything substantive to harm each other or interfere in schemes not directly involving them? Why is this? Science may have the answer.

IT MIGHT BE time to reconsider what it means to call someone a “rat.”

Previous research has shown the much-maligned rodents assist comrades in need, as well as remember individual rats that have helped them—and return the favor.

Now, a new study builds on this evidence of empathy, revealing that domestic rats will avoid harming other rats.

In the study, published March 5 in the journal Current Biology, rats were trained to pull levers to get a tasty sugar pellet. If the lever delivered a mild shock to a neighbor, several of the rats stopped pulling that lever and switched to another.

“Tasty sugar pellet” – the pizza parties we’ve all heard about- Oh, wait. They’re talking about literal Rodentia Rattus… Well, I’m sure the general principles are the same.

Boffins plan to grow rat-human and mouse-human embryos in Japan.

The Japanese Research group has received approval from the government to insert human cells into animal embryos.

After being inserted into the animals, the cells may then grow into organs.

Keep them away from Baltimore.

To walk out on insulting political trash. Just what these kids in CO did during a vigil, allegedly for the victims of the recent Satanic, gay-tranny, hate crime and shooting spree.

Colorado students walked out of an event billed as a vigil for Kendrick Castillo, an 18-year-old killed in a shooting at his school on Tuesday, when prominent speakers attempted to turn it into a rally for gun control. Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colorado) and Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colorado) each took a turn calling for gun control at the Douglas County event before students streamed out in protest.

Two students at STEM Highlands Ranch, a K-12 charter school focused on science, technology, engineering, and math, shot nine students, one fatally. The accused students, who were arrested, are an adult male and a juvenile female who identifies as male. The accused male had written anti-Christian social media messages. He drove a car with a pentagram spray-painted on the hood, as well as other [Satanic] graffiti…

In response to the shooting, a public vigil was announced at another local public high school: Highlands Ranch High School. It was sponsored by the gun control groups Brady’s Team Enough and March for Our Lives and featured Democratic politicians who seek limits on Second Amendment gun rights, but was billed instead as an event to remember and honor Castillo and other victims. As the politicians called for gun control, students left in protest over the politicization of the deaths and injuries.

You were just supposed to be there as pawns, children. The shithead pols care nothing about you nor your deceased hero friend. Good on all of them! Parents and other adults (if any): vote this garbage out of office and run them out of the State.

Democrats and Republicans have theirs. Their priorities and interests (and allegiances) do not align with yours.

A Republican-Democrat spending bill being offered to President Trump spends nearly 40 times as much on foreign aid as it does on a wall to secure the United States-Mexico border.

Though Trump requested about $5.7 billion to fund a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, a spending package written by elected Republicans and Democrats funds just $1.3 billion for 55 miles of wall at the border.

Meanwhile, the deal spends nearly 40 times as much American taxpayer money on foreign aid as it does on a border wall. In total, about $50 billion is spent on foreign aid, including: [a whole bunch of stuff we cannot afford and do not need].

Surely the next election will be the cure, right?

Congress, House, HR1(2017), politicians, politics, Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, taxes

In an astounding act of accomplishment today the House voted, 227-203, to cut taxes. The Senate is expected to act shortly, likely with similar effect. However, based on what, exactly, the Senate votes for, the House may have to revisit the Bill tomorrow. It seems someone in the Senate objects – and I do not make this up – to the name of the legislation. Someone actually has a problem with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

Were the GOP just a tad smarter (ha!), then they would have named HR 1 the Civil Rights Act of 2017. Only Robert Byrd could have objected to that and he’s dead.

I understand this measure will result in slightly lower taxes, with mild simplifications, for the majority of people who actually pay incomes taxes to the Empire. That’s good. Note: I haven’t read the whole thing; I’m into eating glass right now. The danger is what else might be lurking within or closely associated with the cuts.

The last time we had such a sweeping tax overhaul, 1986 with Ronnie, we also saw a few tax increases, a little gun control, and amnesty for our enemies. The old saying, “nothing is safe while the legislature is in session,” was coined for a reason. But, as the old had once said, “we’ve got to pass it to see what’s in it.” Cold comfort.

Anyhow, we could have reform tomorrow, or maybe Thursday. Here’s the vote on HR 1, from today, Roll Call No. 692:

227, for; 203, against; 2 likely passed out drunk or molesting someone/thing.

How every single politi-critter voted:

(It just occurred to me that my pasting killed the cursory differentiation between Dems and GOPers, not that it really matters. If you think it does, just click the link for the original).

Politicians in Peril: Send Money

criminals, politicians, politics, Robert Mugabe

Al Franken: He’s gropey enough, he’s grabbey enough, and doggone it, you’d better wear body armor if you fall sleep around him.

No doubt Mitch McConnell, Ivanka, the WSJ, and The Jeb will immediately call for his resignation. ……. Hahahahaha! No.

Anyway, Al probably needs money. Send money.

Roy Moore: I met Roy Moore (briefly) one time after he gave a speech. He did nothing untoward. I also had dinner one night with his former colleague, Hon. Harold See. I didn’t know who Moore was at the time and we did not discuss him or any alleged … proclivities. The man certainly failed to confide in me any rumors of strange mall walkings.

Anyway, Roy probably needs money. Send money.

Robert Mugabe: I’ve never met the man although I did once catch an ugly, cross-eyed flounder that kind of looked like him. His atrocities I have read about, maybe more extensively than the average. I still detest the filth. I am happy to learn he is under house arrest and “negotiating” his retirement.

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — In the first round of negotiations over how President Robert Mugabe will leave power, the Zimbabwean leader met Thursday with the army commander who put him under house arrest and mediators, including South African Cabinet ministers and a Catholic priest.

Meanwhile, an emergency summit of heads of state of regional countries was called by the 16-nation Southern African Development Community and is expected to formalize the terms of Mugabe’s exit.

It takes a village to fire an idiot.

800

Almost as good as “Mugabe Under House.” AP.

A short preview of my forthcoming, Mugabe-centered piece (which will require necessary post-arrest revision):

Is is “Mugabe”? or “Mugaboo”? Mug – A – Boo. He mugs a lot of boos. All of them in fact.

Mugabe’s picture adorns Zimbabwe’s $100 Upmty-trillion Bill, currently sufficient to buy half a slice of bread.

UPDATE: Thanks to Mugabe’s stellar agricultural management, there is currently no bread in Zimbabwe. Save your money!

If not for periodic catheterization and his weekly prostate massage, Mugabe would have no social life at all. (Firehat, RIP!)

If Obama had a really haggard, crusty old grandpa, who wrecked a formerly prosperous nation and looks like he lives in the back of a garbage truck, he’d look a lot like Mugabe – but still not as bad.

Anyway, Robert probably needs money. Send rope.

Your “Giant” Rats are Tiny by Comparison

politicians, rats

I read the following science and nature story and laughed: New Species of “Giant” Rat Discovered…” Ha! Seriously…

A new species of giant rat has been discovered which is so strong it can crack open coconuts with its teeth.

Measuring one-and-a-half feet long and weighing more than a kilo (2lbs), it is five times bigger than your average rodent.

The elusive creature lives in 30ft trees on Vangulu in the Solomon Islands. It had only ever been spotted by natives, leading to suspicions it was mythical.

Mammalogist Dr Tyrone Lavery first heard rumours of the giant, possum-like rat that lived in trees and cracked open coconuts with its teeth on his first trip there in 2010.

After seven years of searching and a race against deforestation destroying the rat’s would-be home his team finally found it.

That’s it?! Eighteen inches and two pounds?!! Giant?

No disrespect to Dr. Lavery, the Solomon Islands, nor the tree-dwelling, coconut-cracking rodents themselves, but … that’s a rather small rat. Very small. Yes, it is bigger than the average denizen of the sewers of wherever you are – unless you’re in the District of Corruption.

Once hearing rumors myself of giant rodents lurking in the national cesspool, I journeyed to the Mordor on the Potomac and confirmed a horror of gargantuan proportion.

There exist, in that city today, teeming hordes of rats averaging nearly six feet (while standing or slouching) and weighing over 200 pounds (though much of this is flab, alcohol, and/or pocketed bribes). Their tails are neatly hidden, tucked into designer suits and dresses. Their teeth, abnormally long, sharp, and vampire-like, are normally tucked behind either the cheesy grins of the guilty or the slack-jawed gape of the plainly stupid. But make no mistake – these beasts are as ravenous as they are dangerous.

Coconuts? No. Again, HA! These monsters can, and regularly do, crack: the Constitution, civil liberties, the economy, global peace and stability, and the human condition itself – all with bites and nibbles never-ending.

It is rumored that the bubonic plague avoids them for fear of contamination. If true – profound wisdom even from a mindless virus.

The new little fellow is neither large nor threatening by comparison to Americanus Politicus Rodentius, though it certainly has its selling points:

Trustworthiness;

Harmlessness;

A better, safer bedfellow;

Likely more competent to govern or legislate anything; and

Easy access to coconuts.

And it’s far and away much cuter. Mirror/SWNS.

England, invasion, London, politicians, terrorism, The West, Vox Day, War

Vox Day commented on Theresa May’s comments about last night’s attack: (My reactions in red);

While it beats the usual “diversity is stronger than hate” ritual, the UK Prime Minister’s new anti-terrorism program falls well short of one with any chance of success:

‘We cannot and must not pretend things can continue as they are. Things need to change and they need to change in four important ways.’

Defeating the extreme Islamist ideology to make them understand ‘pluralistic British values’ are superior

Ending the ‘safe space’ online for the plotting of terror attacks

Continuing military action against ISIS terrorists in Iraq and Syria

Tougher prison sentences at home for terrorist offences

First, the problem is not “the extreme Islamist ideology”, the problem is Islam. Period. The West will continue to suffer these attacks so long as Muslims are permitted to reside in the West. There is a reason why Western nations periodically expelled troublesome minorities, and they will have to do so again if they prefer peaceful societies to diverse ones. The West will either embrace Reconquista 2.0 or it will cease to exist.

Amen. The pot itself is now melting.

Second, pluralistic British values are not only not superior, they are not even coherent. “Pluralistic values” is a self-contradiction.

Yes. The “native” values never differed that much at all, as to nearly seem identical to the non-British, from Nottingham to Wales to Scotland. E Pluribus Unum. Multi de Bellum.

Third, the problem is not safe spaces online, but the safe spaces in the West. It’s very difficult to commit an attack in London or Manchester if you reside in Libya and your travel is banned. Not so tough if you reside in Bradford.

I thought May’s attack on socials was as stupid as Kathy Griffin’s attack on “old white men.” It’s not Farcebook and the Twits, Mrs. May; it’s you and your policies.

Fourth, fighting them there instead of here hasn’t worked since 2001. It’s not going to work in 2017 either. Military action against Islam is needed in the UK, Europe, and the USA, not in Iraq and Syria.

As I noted last night, as always, Iraq and Syria (et al) do not matter. Bombing there does nothing except create more “refugees.”

Fifth, imprisoning terrorists has historically proven counterproductive everywhere from Egypt to Germany. It usually leads to more terrorist attacks and hostage-taking. Even simple deportation is probably preferable. And the prospect of prison is not likely to dissuade suicide bombers. Only severe reprisals will suffice to do that.

The leaders of the West are still shirking their duties. They’re trying to win a war without fighting it. That is why new leadership is required. And that is why the God-Emperor should now declare martial law and imprison the judges who are illegally attempting to tie his hands.

A slight disagreement, here. The “leaders” aren’t just shirking responsibilities – they are actively adding to the problem. Trump has ancient precedent to round up dissenters, to include judges and members of Congress, but he will not do it. He won’t even stop the enemy from Taqiya-ing in the street in front of his home. The same goes for May. Instead I foresee some more pointless missile strikes in the near future in the usual pointless places.

***

On Farcebook I’ve seen people echoing Trump’s sentiment that the courts need to “give us back our rights.” That’s not going to happen and it shouldn’t be expected or welcomed – completely the wrong mindset. The Constitution is dead and gone and the rules you whoop to follow are all rigged against you.

They’re also wondering how much worse this all has to get before the masses look up from the idiot boxes. I would say “much worse” but I just have no real idea; TeeVee is a powerful drug.

Finally, if Theresa May is still in denial, some Britons are not. This morning I received excellent ideas from the UK on what to do. “Want would Winston do?” More on that later.

England, evil, insanity, invasion, ISIS, London, politicians, terrorism, War

And I had so wanted to either cap the evening with a tale about the beautiful, blonde and based French woman I met at the gym this morning or one about my friend’s incredible new craft beers. No.

No. No. No. No. No. No.

ISIS. Terror. London. Dead. Wounded. War. Defeat. Death. Civilization crumbling. Again and again and again and again.

GOD DAMN IT!

(Sorry about that…). Now:

I’m not posting any links with this one – maybe the one coming this Thursday but not this one. Here’s some Drudge:

nimbus-image-1496533399535

You’d have to live under a rock on Mars not to know at least a little about what is unfolding in London tonight/this morning. And I’m not sure I can say any more or anything new that I haven’t already typed a dozen times.

A few thoughts:

1. Islam and radical Islamic terrorists are enemies of the West. Not our only enemies but perhaps the most visible; they are: here, active, deadly, and damned-near unopposed. If you can’t grasp that at this point, then you’d best get back under your rock.

2. All of our political leaders are worse than useless. All of them – May, Trump, Merkel, Macron, etc. Treason!

3. Donald Trump, this evening, admitted defeat:

nimbus-image-1496537742096

We need a leader who will ban the terrorists and then ban the judges and anyone else who gets in the way. A few more bombs in Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen won’t help London, Paris, or New York. All my optimism has left the Trump Train. And, while we’re at it, May Day!

4. As such, there are no political solutions – yet. One hopes a second Charles Martel is out there somewhere but we haven’t seen him so far.

5. The British government armed their police even as they disarmed the public. Coincidence? No.

6. The armed police tell the unarmed masses stupid shit like this:

nimbus-image-1496537777598

Where ya going to run to? These are coordinated attacks (plural – more than one). You run from one right into another. Hide? These bastards like that. They get to play hide and seek with you. Then they get to use their deer knives with a rousing “Aloha Snackbar!” And who exactly will you tell? THEY, none of them, give a damn.

You, my dear civilized friends, are on your own. Might I suggest, instead of “Run, Hide, Tell”:

FIGHT

KILL

ANNIHILATE

It is now time to turn the tables. And the barrels. Maybe a few fuel trucks.

7. How bad is it now? London is an ultra-modern metropolis with the most state-of-the-art security apparatus on Earth. That city and all of England is already on red alert, condition critical, attacks imminent, the highest possible level of alertness. And it does nothing.

The bobbies and the rifles of the Met were already backed up by 5,000 army soldiers. Now, the SAS is deployed in the city center. For the tattoos, television, and Budweiser crowd in the U.S.: “SAS” stands for “Special Air Service.” This is the most elite special forces group in the UK. Because of the (entirely predictable) possibility of events like this, 2 squads are stationed in the capital at all times – no word as to whether they are all completely mobilized tonight.

For the shit-stupid, see-no-evil, dullards in Plato’s electronic cave, this is tantamount to Navy Seals being deployed to NYC after an attack. In other words, this is about as serious as it can get without breaking out the Polaria.

8. Candles, vigils, Farcebook flags, thoughts and prayers, etc. are useless.

9. If you dare to use this event as another excuse to excuse Islamic terrorism and berate whites, Christians, and natives as Nazis, mean-spirited, haters, Islamophobic, xenophobic, racist, and “the real problem,” then you are the problem. You, the sympathizer, are just as bad and just as guilty as the actual terrorists.

10. There are other, more institutional enablers of this Satanic garbage. They must be annihilated along with the Jihadi scum. Not bannished, not punished – annihilated.

11. This is going to keep getting worse. Much worse.

12. Finally, please look at our people in the following picture: rudderless, leaderless, and clueless. They are also victims: scared, fleeing, panicked. This is beyond pitiful and reprehensible.

TELEMMGLPICT000130836691-large_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqWy_u4a9GUNQgLIY2EGV3qovR0qvPmQyEFl0PC-XDya0

Y’all run, hide, and tell…. The Telegraph.

I probably won’t be able to say more about this one due to the imminent approach of the next attack(s). Until then…
