6 In 10 Floridians Support Requiring Masks In Schools, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds; 61% Say Recent Rise In COVID-19 Cases In Florida Was Preventable

As Florida deals with a surge in COVID-19 cases and a battle intensifies over an executive order issued by Governor Ron DeSantis to ban mask mandates in schools, a majority of people in Florida say 60 – 36 percent that they support requiring students, teachers, and staff to wear masks in schools, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea-ack) University poll of Florida adults released today. There are sharp political divides on this question as Democrats support school mask requirements 98 – 1 percent, independents support them 63 – 32 percent, and Republicans oppose them 72 – 24 percent.

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard. – H. L. Mencken

The Harvey Weinstein School of Airport Security

Chris Deaton of The Weekly Standard related his recent involvement in the war on freedom terror. Everything except a reach-around at Hartsfield-Jackson:

Ludicrous.

THE WEEKLY STANDARD’s John McCormack wrote last September about his interaction with the TSA’s new “enhanced” pat-down procedure, wherein an agent “runs his hand inside a passenger’s waistband and also runs his hand up the back of each leg until he ‘meets resistance’ and then does the same from the front of each leg.” John (who is among the most genial people humankind is capable of producing) was randomly selected for his inspection.

I, on a recent trip from Jackson-Hartsfield International, was not. The advanced imaging technology (AIT) scanner at the security checkpoint detected something amiss on my person. As ProPublica reported in 2011, “Any potential threat is indicated by a yellow box that shows up roughly where the software detected it—on the right ankle, for example, or the left elbow.” For me, it was my back.

It follows that isolating such an area would allow travelers to forgo the unpleasant experience of being felt up indiscriminately—or, as John wrote, “right over the zipper area of one’s Gap Outlet comfort-stretch khakis.” If the imaging produces a yellow box only over the back, and an agent explains it as such, then clearly the back is the place of concern. The person already has held the mid-jumping-jack pose inside the fancy photo booth and had all other bodily areas, including the left ankle, the head-shoulders-knees-and-toes, and the crotch, cleared for takeoff.

And yet.

Just the same as John and doubtless thousands of other individuals, a professional, shall we say thorough TSA inspector explained to me how he was going to run his hands inside my waistband (which, the imaging resulting in what it did, is arguably passable)—but also run them up and down my legs, in a manner of unwelcome and quite awful foreplay. As part of the sheeple, I allowed the employee to proceed without objection, as well as swab my fingers, and continued on my way after being green-lit several moments thereafter.

They do this to women, children, the elderly, the infirm, and maybe even to service animals. For his part, the key statement in Deaton’s writing was: “As part of the sheeple, I allowed the employee to proceed without objection.” Part of the sheeple.

Here, I pause to wonder if one can request that an attractive female agent do the molesting. Eight or nine, that’s just fine! Probably not. Anyway…

In Washington, District of Corruption, under some heavy glass, appropriately housed relatively near dinosaur bones and other relics of the ancient past, there lies an old, worn, and completely disregarded piece of paper. There are words scribbled on it for those who can still read. Some of them say: “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…”

Get it? Used to be “shall not be violated;” now it’s “violated like your on Harvey’s casting couch.” You are the punch line. Baa. Baa. Baaaaaa.

After the sexual assault, one then gets to sit next to an obese lunatic with an attitude, watch some drunk pee on a seatback, and hear someone cry about their dead prize rabbit. Then they regrettably inform you your luggage is elsewhere, your connecting flight is delayed, and, here, have ten dollars in free drinks and peanuts at the local bar. But, hey, you get all those points. Maybe you’re a “trusted” ewe traveler.

Please do fly commercial. At your own risk. Sheeple.

If they ever commence this foolishness in general aviation or on the highways, then you’ll likely read about that too. Probably on one of those posters at the post office.

Remove Your Belt, Shoes, and Freedom

Remember when flying was fun? Neither do I, unless it was far away in the excitement of childhood. Since 9/11 I have flown commercial as little as possible and not once in the past 5 years.

I’m not worried about “terrorists.” I worry about the government. All of the new security theater makes me feel quite unsafe. It’s a personal thing and it goes beyond my general disdain for a system that treats citizens like criminals and criminals like heroes.

Short trip? I drive. Long trip? I drive. Boston isn’t that far away. One thousand miles can be done in a day or so and, as a bonus, when I arrive I don’t have to rent a car!

Where was I? Tragedy, yes. Hundreds are dead following the crash of a Russian airliner in the Sinai. The sh!threads at ISIS have claimed responsibility. Terrorists and politicians always claim responsibility, true or no. The facts are few, the speculation wild.

Assuming the crash was actually terror related, our true friends at the TSSA have pondered even more acts in their play pretend airport screening processes.

None of this will bother me as I cruise the mountains on I-81, good coffee, gun and cigar all at the ready. It does weigh on my libertine sensibility and common sense. And, I feel for the flying public, complacent as most may be. I also felt bad for the little pigs in the straw and twig houses.

The Fatherland Security crowd is touting new measures both “seen and unseen.” You will see the burly agent molest the pretty college girl at the metal detector. You won’t see his friends rummage through your bags in search of pawn-worthy merchandise.

A DHS official, who asked not to be identified because he’s not authorized to expand on the secretary’s statement, said the new measures would be phased in as quickly as possible.

“This is all within TSA’s capabilities, within their power, within their authorities and resources,” the official said.

…

“Obviously we could dial it all the way up and say you can’t bring anything at all in your carry-on, but that’s not workable, and it’s going to make everyone very angry,” the official said.

Not everyone would be angry. Sheep never seem angry. I wouldn’t be the least bit miffed, at the rest area outside of Jacksonville. As for the flyers, why not have them all travel bagless and nude? This would certainly reduce the likelihood of a bomb being brought onboard and it would make the co-eds much more accessible for groping.

19475_TSA_Frisks_Little_TerroristFight’n Tha Tarh-ists. Google.

Here’s the rub. This rank speculation centers on an incident involving a Russian, not American, plane in the Middle East, not the Midwest. It’s, for alarmist sake, being presupposed the work of ISIS. No real facts yet, if you recall. But, let us assume, for a moment, it’s all truth.

The facts about ISIS are known. That club was founded, funded, trained and supported by the CIA and other American alphabet outfits – all with your taxes. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan having fizzled and the Banksters and the MIC needing new profits, ISIS was developed in order to stir the pots in places like Syria and Libya.

So, bases on our assumption, the TSSA is plotting more restrictions on you based on something done by the CIA. Tell me again of the wonders of government. This is a page straight out of Hitler’s playbook: a series of false flag operations to start wars and simultaneously subdue the home folk. It’s a proven plan.

My plan also works. The TSSA has yet, YET, to interrupt my weekend road trip to Winston-Salem. If and when they do, I advise them to bring ISIS along for support. They’ll need it.

On a completely unrelated note: this posting was field both by my demented imagination and failing intellect and by coffee and a Gurkha Reserve 6×60. What a great smoke! Smooth, strong and well constructed. The cigar set will appreciate my fortitude in this undertaking pre breakfast.

Cheers!

“Your” government is officially far past the point where it could be possibly reigned in. Next year must hold in store an election.  I keep hearing and reading that the Republicans and Democrats are preparing their usual assortment of tired psychopaths from which the little people are to select their future “leadership.”  It could be that I have stepped through a worm hole to the past because I keep hearing names like Bush and Clinton.

As George Carlin used to say, “this is the best we can do.”  It will never get better. Incredibly, it gets worse every four years.  I gave up on voting and political participation a long time ago.  I stand by my statement that the last, best chance we had to save the Republic was to elect Ron Paul President in 2008.  We missed it.  Today, I lead a happy life of personal anarchy.  My only involvement with the government is paying taxes and evading the traffic cops.  It works well.  The sheep still don’t see it.

You may have seen or read about the increasing militarization of government forces – the blurring of lines between domestic police and the standing martial army.  I wrote about it previously.

pi052704a1

(USA! USA!  Google.)

Speaking of blurred lines, I, being a recovering attorney, am THE expert on the Posse Comitatus Act (PCA).  The PCA was put into place many, many years ago to halt the use of military forces from providing ordinary law enforcement within the territorial confines of the U.S.  It has not worked.

Law after law and action after action have provided a myriad of exemptions to the PCA. Drugs, terror, riots, training – you name it.  The PCA is moot.

So it is today that most highly trained, deadliest and most feared elements of our armed forces – the special forces – are on the streets training with local police agencies.  It’s like Barney Fife meeting the Seals in Mayberry.  Otis better watch out.

The purpose of elite military forces is to carry out daring missions ABROAD (not at home) in order to disrupt enemy activities with minimal effort or notice.  They are the last force one should want operating amidst the people at home.  This too is lost on the MTV-watching public.

The people are afraid of everything.  Should the government announce pillow cases are tools of terrorism, the people will dutifully burn pillow cases in the town square.  The fools will demand and cheer as the government bombs pillow factories in places like Libya and Iraq.  Imaginary specters are fought with ferocity and pomp.

Meanwhile, real threats go virtually unnoticed.  Recently, the same week that saw the U.S. military engage in various live terror trainings in the Southwest (against fictitious enemies) saw real terrorists attack a cartoon convention in Texas.  Thankfully, for us, the sane, Texas is not Paris.  In the Lone Star State, muslin extremist face summary execution from even lone police officers.  Don’t mess with Texas.  But, no-one else has drawn the corollary (or disconnect) here.  The vaunted military trains for an attack the police can’t handle at the same time the police handle an attack the military can’t.  So it goes.

The sheep graze on.  Fox News, radio talkers and modern “churches” have instilled in the ignorant people a sense of worship for all things military, all things government – so long as it’s the American military and government.  When two groups of drunks meet at the beach, and fight, the sympathy of the nation goes to that group of martial disposition.  No mind is given to reality.

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has just tried to put the brakes on the monstrosity known as the USA Patriot Act.  The Act was intended to grant additional unchecked power to the central government.  Some in the Judiciary have noted this and its underlying illegality.  It does not matter, as Ron Paul notes.  The Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama/Bush/Clinton/Etc. executive is above the law and will refuse to abide by any Court ruling which limits their authority.  The Courts, truly least of the three branches, are powerless to enforce their rulings.  The Congress, fat, bribed and stoned into complacency, will do nothing.  The sheep graze.

So, pontificate as you will about the coming election.  I may listen but I won’t respond. I’m not rude, it’s just that I don’t believe in fairy tales no matter how entertaining. Next November, you go out and waste your time and energy, saving us from the other side. Afterwards, you may find me at the local bar or cigar shop doing what I do.  Or, you could just join me in freedom land.  Your choice.

Even as memory of the old American Republic fades away into the oblivion of history, the descendants of the Great Experiment have a hero.  Edward Snowden has sacrified everything in the name of freedom.  This should give modern Amerikans something to ponder come July 4th.  Most probably will not.  Read a little more: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/u-whistleblower-drops-sight-faces-legal-battle-192837160.html.

abc_edward_snowden_2_jt_130609_wmain

(Snowden has pledged his life, his fortune, and his sacred honor for Liberty.  What have you done lately?)

The fascists nuts have already called for his head.  Some want him executed, though this presumes a trial of some sort.  They are living in the past.  More up-to-date neo-con nuts are talking about “disappearing” Snowden.  That means death by torture at some secret CIA prison or by Hellfire missile.  No need to bother a judge or jury that way.

The revelations Mr. Snowden has bravely given us of late are disturbing or, at least, would disturb earlier Americans.  However, the information is nothing new.  The government has been intercepting, recording, and reviewing almost all electronic communications since the 1990s.  Remember Echelon and Carnivore?  The freedom-minded should.  Most will not.  Prism is just a newer, better system.

The system just keeps getting bigger and better and it will thus continue.  As recently as three or four decades ago someone would have raised the Fourth Amendment amidst all the discussion.  Not now.  The Constitutional protections enjoyed by previous generations are gone.  I imagine with all this rain the new grass on the Fourth’s grave (see: Swabbing the Fourth Amendment)  must be very green.  Hopefully someone will mow it from time to time.

Dianne Fienstink, Saxby Shameless, Lindsey Sham, and the Criminal in Chief say we have nothing to worry about and that we should be grateful the Empire is watching out for us (by watching us).  Everything these people say is a lie.  They’re quotes are irrelevant and will not appear on this site.

On to happier topics!  Did you know in Arizona swimming at a gym qualifies one for a DUI??  Read on about the ordeal of one Jessie Thornton of Surprise, AZ (town seems to live up to the name…): http://cleveland.cbslocal.com/2013/06/10/man-charged-with-dui-despite-blowing-000-during-breathalyzer-test/.  Like due process, evidence is a thing of the past in Amerika.  At least Thornton was eventually released once the revenue farmers admitted they made a mistake.  Increasingly, they just kill their victims instead.  He was lucky.  And, hey!  It’s 2013.  Let’s give the “driving while black” BS a rest.  Snowden (or me or you) might be driving when the Predator locks on.  It’s all of us nowadays, folks.

A while back I did a piece on Georgia’s Operation Rolling Plunder – a systematic raping of the rights of the motoring public.  Today, the local fish-wrapper ran a story of their own about the issue: http://chronicle.augusta.com/news/crime-courts/2013-06-09/operation-thunder-pinpoints-traffic-problems?v=1370829896.  If you bother to read the “article,” you’ll notice the complete deference to the lies of the government and the total absence of any opposing view.  Half of the comments after the article are from government worshipers who “would gladly stop for more [illegal roadblocks].”  They thank the stormtroopers for “making us safe.”  Well, good on the other half, at least!  Highway tip: avoid traveling in Georgia if you can.  By the way, you might have noticed there were more citations for child seat “violations” than for DUIs.  Keeping us safe – like sheep in a fence.

More to come soon.  This post was brought to you by the NSA, the Illuminati, and the Governor’s Council for Sheep Safety.
