Artistic mental health warning label. Theodore Dalrymple sums up some of my views on the grotesque trend of “inking.”

This, perhaps, explains the outbreak of mass self-mutilation in the form of piercings and tattooing that has overtaken the West. In many countries, the proportion of the tattooed in the population has now risen to about a third. No doubt most of them, if asked, would say that they were expressing themselves, or telling the world who they really are. There could be no better—or in my opinion sadder—testimony to mass inner emptiness than this.

When I first noticed the ascent of tattooing up the social scale about twenty years ago—the type of people who were getting themselves tattooed who would once never have dreamed of doing so—I explained it as the advertisement of a supposedly virtuous political identification with the marginalized in society, to whom tattooing had until then largely been confined, no doubt combined with the eternal desire to shock Mum and Dad. But this theory, if it were ever true, can be true no longer. Self-mutilation is now a fashion, true enough, and perhaps one should not look too deeply for the vagaries of taste; but a fashion that marks you indelibly is more than a fashion for, say, a silly hat or a polo-neck sweater.

These days, Mum and Dad have probably beat the kids to the needle – Granny too. In a way I like it. A visible tattoo lets one know who and what one is dealing with. But, the sheer number says something about the decline of the people. A 2018 University of Miami study verified the obvious: tattoos are highly indicative of mental illness.

But, not yours… I’m sure yours is so very special. Go talk to yourself about that.

I didn’t even hear about Tuesday’s shooting in CO until I read about it from Vox Day. There’s a reason why they kept this one quiet.

It’s really time to get serious about Atheist Democrat control:

One of the two students who opened fire on a school in Denver has been identified as 18-year-old Devon Erickson. An 18-year-old boy was killed and seven other students were injured when gunfire erupted at STEM School Highlands Ranch on Tuesday afternoon at 1.53pm local time….

The teen’s social media pages indicate that he is an avid guitar player, youth theater actor and registered Democrat who has on occasion expressed disdain for Christians, criticized President Donald Trump and praised former President Barack Obama.

In a post from 2014, Erickson wrote: ‘You know what I hate? All these Christians who hate gays, yet in the bible, it says in Deuteronomy 17:12-13, if someone doesn’t do what their priest tells them to do, they are supposed to die. It has plenty of crazy stuff like that. But all they get out of it is “ewwwwww gays”.’

In 2015 he shared a Facebook post by Occupy Democrats praising Obama, and in 2016 shared a video of TV host Seth Meyers criticizing Trump.

It’s very clear that the most effective way to stop school shootings is ban everyone who is both a) a Democrat and b) an atheist.

From what I gather, “atheist,” here, really means satanist. Anti-Christian hate. And, of course, there’s the gay and trans angle. The utter insanity. There’s a guarantee that both shooters were high as a kite on SSRIs and hormones.

Read the WHOLE STORY (look at the pictures). Then, read THIS STORY. There’s going to be a lot more of this violent madness until the purge comes.

Converse has announced the release of a new line of shoes celebrating LGBT culture alongside a marketing campaign featuring characters of various sexual orientations, including an 11-year-old ‘drag kid’ who goes by the stage name ‘Desmond Is Amazing.’

“We’re happy to launch our Pride Collection, partnering with six individuals connected to the LGBTQ+ community who show the power of expressing one’s true self,” the apparel company tweeted on Monday.

He began to garner attention in 2015 after dancing in the NYC Pride Parade, and amid rising popularity on social media, Napoles was invited to appear on Good Morning America, where he danced for the audience and was paid a visit from three adult drag queens.

In late 2018, disturbing video footage surfaced of Desmond performing at gay bars in Brooklyn and San Francisco, while grown men threw bills at him, and shortly afterwards, journalists discovered Desmond had appeared in a interview with infamous 90s “club kid” Michael Alig, who had spent 17 years in jail for the killing and dismemberment of a fellow clubber and drug dealer.

“On Alig’s show ‘Pee-ew!’ 10-year-old Desmond sat between Alig and Alig’s fellow ‘Club Kid’ Ernie Glam, making stilted conversation about the child’s favorite television shows, ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ and ‘Dragula,’” LifeSite reports. “Over their heads was a painting of a cartoon child skipping rope over the word ‘Rohypnol.’ Rohypnol is a well-known date rape drug often used to incapacitate victims marked for sexual assault.”

Converse is now an enemy of the free people, regard them as such. And, this abused boy will most likely kill someone when he grows and realizes how he’s been used. And, there’s no telling if he’ll only stop with the guilty parties. CPS investigated his parents after the gay club show and … found no wrongdoing. Hell, they’ll probably try to make this mandatory in the future.

What they don’t want in this age of anything goes, is normal, healthy sex. You know, the kind between a man and a woman that produces a baby. All they get out of it is “ewwwwww breeders.” They equate pregnancy and the unborn child with cancer or a parasite.

college-fetus-lecture25

None of this will end well for anyone. There’s a reason for Paul’s “harsh” suggestions as to the proper treatment of degenerates. Evil isn’t safe for the innocent, for society, nor for the evil-doers. Won’t. End. Well.

Another war we can never win.

When Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the Trump administration would designate a branch of Iran’s military as a foreign terrorist organization Monday, he said, “The Trump administration is simply recognizing a basic reality.”

But critics say they are concerned that it may also be part of an effort to bend reality enough to provide legal justification for armed conflict with Iran.

“I am troubled that the administration can’t unequivocally say that you haven’t been given power. I can tell you explicitly, you have not been given power or authority by Congress to have war with Iran,” Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told Pompeo on Wednesday.

At this point, who can possibly trust any neocons? Unless it never begins, this won’t end well.

While some of us are urging caution and restraint against the AI/robotic/computer onslaught of the 21st century, others urge a merger – much like Saruman urging Gandalf to join with Sauron.

Mental illness runs strong in the robo-techno-alliance of tomorrow:

Human beings will evolve. We haven’t always been human. We were sea creatures, then we were living in the trees, then we became human. Soon we will become something else. Technology is part of our lives and it will become part of our evolutionary journey, too.

…

My partner and I identify as cyborgs as we are no longer 100% human. We have new body parts that give us access to perceptions that are beyond usual human perception. It’s not about augmenting reality, or living in virtual reality; it’s more about revealing a reality that already exists.

I can see it now: separate bathrooms at Starbucks for those partners identifying as tree-living cybernetic sea creatures. All perfectly normal. Just like the Jetsons.

Now in France, if you notice the rot, then you’re a nut.

You’ll recall that earlier this year Should Have Been President Marine Le Pen was charged with crimes for verbally protesting the destruction of Western Civilization. Her docketing somehow failed to stem the violent tide she was Tweeting about.

No mind. It’s her mind that matters. She’s been ordered to undergo a psych eval…

Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French far right has been left shocked and furious after a court ordered her to be examined by a psychiatrist to determine if she “is capable of understanding remarks and answering questions”.

Le Pen, who is head of the former National Front party – now National Rally (Rassemblement National) revealed on Twitter her shock and anger at being ordered to undertake a psychiatric assessment.

The unusual summoning is in relation to Le Pen having tweeted out gruesome propaganda images from terror group Isis that showed the bodies of people having been executed by the so-called Islamic State.

In March Le Pen was charged with circulating “violent messages that incite terrorism or pornography or seriously harm human dignity” and that can be viewed by a minor.

And as part of their investigation it appears magistrates in Nanterre near Paris have ordered Le Pen to visit a psychiatrist for an expert assessment.

I’m confident that all of America’s ardent supporters of free speech are already on this indignation. (I’ll withhold holding my breath).

Marine est la saine. Vous avez élu le mauvais candidat.

From TPC, Today: Suicide is Not the Answer to a Culture Gone Mad

This one really wraps up several pressing issues, particularly toward the end and in the notes I added:

The CDC reports strong growth in suicide rates nationwide over the past generation. These rates are up 30% in half the states. Self-inflicted demise is now the tenth leading cause of death in our country. This, at a time of supposed peace, prosperity, and economic growth. 54% of the recent suicides were by persons with no previously known mental disorder. No age, race, situation, or condition seems immune. Look through that report; odds are you’ll be staggered.

The venerable CDC suggests what can be done about the trend. I see good, bad, and incomplete in their advice. At a superficial level, they get it right about life stress being a major factor. Their solutions, some of them I think, are perhaps a little misplaced.

“Making sure government, public health, healthcare, employers, education, the media and community organizations are working together is important for preventing suicide.”
– CDC, Overview.

That certainly sounds fine and well. But, what if the government, the “public” health, and all those institutions are contributing to the problem? Contributing to all that stress, consternation, and perplexity. Then what?

Cultural Chaos: Depression, Agoraphobia, and Robots Stealing Jobs

America, culture, decline, depression, fear, health, insanity, Perrin hates robots, society, The People, young

This is one of those posts that could easily run on for 3,000 words. So, in the dual interests of brevity and laziness, I’m going to keep it as short as possible.

Note: I have an initial feeling that all the following matters are interrelated, especially the issues related to the linked final story.

The robots are coming for your jobs. With issues like this lingering, growing, it’s no wonder people are fearful and depressed. This is a real developing trend.

One third of able-bodied American men between 25 and 54 could be out of job by 2050, contends the author of “The Future of Work: Robots, AI and Automation.”

“We’re already at 12% of prime-aged men without jobs,” said Darrell West, vice president of the Brookings Institution think tank, at a forum in Washington, D.C. on Monday. That number has grown steadily over the past 60 years, but it could triple in the next 30 years because of new technology such as artificial intelligence and automation.

It could be even worse for some parts of the population, West argued. The rate for unemployment of young male African Americans, for instance, is likely to reach 50% by 2050.

“That, my friends, is a catastrophe,” West said.

That’s the “C” word we’re looking for, yes. It’s as big a disaster as:

One-quarter of Americans never going outside.

A quarter of Americans spend almost an entire 24 hours without going outside and downplay the negative health effects of only breathing indoor air, according to a new survey claiming a new “indoor generation.”

“We are increasingly turning into a generation of indoor people where the only time we get daylight and fresh air mid-week is on the commute to work or school,” Peter Foldbjerg, the head of daylight energy and indoor climate at VELUX, a window manufacturing company, said in a statement.

VELUX commissioned the “Indoor Generation Report,” published Tuesday, that found 77 percent of Americans don’t believe that breathing air inside is any worse than pollution outside.

It’s unclear how dangerous indoor air is in the modern era — reports by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency evaluating indoor air quality are from 1987 and 1989, which found that it is two to five times more polluted than outside.

Humidity, mold growth, inadequate temperature and being in close quarters with other people are all cited risks associated with poor air quality indoors.

It’s a big, beautiful world out there. I’m typing this outside as I add some of Nicaragua’s finest vaporized tobacco leaves to the air quality.

Something tells me that the younger people are driving up this statistic. Maybe that’s one reason why:

The Millennials are more stressed compared to older generations.

Twenty-seven percent of millennials said that stress often bothered them at work, compared to the 12% of baby boomers that said the same. Millennials were the group most likely to have stress interfere with their work. About a third of millennials (34%) said that they felt stress made them less productive, while only 19% of their older colleagues felt the same.

Why do millennials feel so stressed out? Increasingly insecure job prospects and overwhelming workloads, MHF believes.

“Millennials are more likely to have insecure contracts, low rates of pay and high entry-level workloads. The pressures they face in today’s employment market are very different to past generations,” MHF’s Richard Grange said.

Americans and other denizens of the West have been in a unique historical bubble since the industrial revolution. That bubble is bursting. The insecure economy is only part of the overall problem. And there is a problem:

Major Depression Diagnoses up 33% in 5 years. That’s a sobering report. Read it, especially if you’re under 35.

Major depression has a diagnosis rate of 4.4 percent in the United States, affecting more than 9 million commercially insured Americans.

Diagnoses of major depression have risen dramatically by 33 percent since 2013. This rate is rising even faster among millennials (up 47 percent) and adolescents (up 47 percent for boys and 65 percent for girls).

Women are diagnosed with major depression at higher rates than men (6 percent and nearly 3 percent, respectively).

People diagnosed with major depression are nearly 30 percent less healthy on average than those not diagnosed with major depression. This decrease in overall health translates to nearly 10 years of healthy life lost for both men and women.4

A key reason for the lower overall health of those diagnosed with major depression is that they are likely to also suffer from other health conditions. Eighty-five percent of people who are diagnosed with major depression also have one or more additional serious chronic health conditions and nearly 30 percent have four or more other conditions.5

People diagnosed with major depression use healthcare services more than other commercially insured Americans. This results in more than two times higher overall healthcare spending ($10,673 compared to $4,283).

hoa-depression-05a

We’ve got the numbers, they’ve got the rate of growth. Blue Cross.

This report, while eye-opening, is the product of the insurance industry. I smell money. Look at the information and graphs about pills. It’s interesting. These people and their pharma friends make big money pushing dope – for depression and everything else under the sun. That’s costly though it’s clear they’d like to avoid larger costs via payouts for associated auxiliary treatments. It makes sense for their bottom line. It makes little sense for the people.

As I stated at the beginning, all of this stuff is related. There’s a hard link between the mental issues and the heart/obesity/etc. physical epidemic. And with those and the fears, the indooring, the stress, and a thousand other factors.

Plainly put: American society is fractured, faltering, and increasingly trivial, idiotic, and insane. Plainer: it looks like decline. Already approaching 1,000 words, I’ll end here. More on this subject, I think, sooner than later – especially regarding the younger generations. I’m already planning a related piece for next week’s TPC column. For now, draw your own conclusions. Maybe step outside for a bit. Exercise. Kick a bot.

The US, UK, and France bombed Syria overnight.

Someone said there was proof of a gas attack there. Don’t look forward to ever seeing it. There may have been an attack. The boy may have seen a real wolf. And it may have been carried out by Assad. And that might have been our problem if it hadn’t possibly, maybe, kinda, sorta happened over there. A Syrian attack against New York or Tennessee would be a different thing entirely.

As is, Damascus is some 5,900 miles away from Washington. Whatever happens there, it should not be our problem. The Trump used to think and say as much.

nimbus-image-1523711778949

The Trump/Twitter.

Seems it is now…

An optimistic note: These actions will hopefully not lead to full-blown nuclear war. More likely, they are semi-calculated pin pricks just to let the world know how tough America is. Tough looks a lot like stupid. Rumor has it that high level talks are already underway between Russia, the West, and the rest of the meddlers to avert major disaster.

Developing…and poorly…

A Re-Post from The Last Refuge. Seriously, this is where liberal insanity goes eventually. The nuts won’t stop with AR-15s. Or single-barrel shotguns. Or even with knives. And, Wrath of Kahn, I carry a knife everywhere and everyday; used it yesterday to open some bags of gravel and sand for gardening. Come catch me. I’d enjoy that. Not that my yard habits are any of his business. His business is packing up and GTFO of GB.

Christmas Music Crazy

Christmas, Christmas music, insanity

It’s not just you. Too many carols too early is actually maddening.

Are you one of those people that can’t stand hearing Christmas songs months before the holiday actually arrives? Does hearing festive carols weeks before Thanksgiving only make you upset that you haven’t eaten your turkey yet? A psychologist in Great Britain says your reactions don’t make you a Grinch because too much Christmas music is actually bad for your mental health.

Clinical psychologist Linda Blair claims the constant barrage of Christmas tunes too early in the season forces people to remember all the things they have to do before the holiday. Blair says the songs are a reminder to buy presents, cater parties, organize travel, and all the more stressful chores during Christmas.

“You’re simply spending all of your energy trying not to hear what you’re hearing,” Blair tells Sky News.

I’ll hold off on my annual tunes release a week or two…

No word on WODS and co. Probably any day now.
