Now, imagine the robots fighting (you). Imagine them armed. This is real and is coming towards you.
Imagine them armored. No. No, I do not love them.

They’re coming for your jobs, whatever those are.
PCR and Robert Henderson on the coming tech dissolution of civilization:
The attention of the world is currently fixed on coronavirus but there is another far more serious danger hurtling towards us in the shape of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) and robotics.
Both are advancing rapidly. Probably within the lifetime of most people now living – and quite possibly in the next fifteen years – there will be general purpose robots (GPRs) capable of doing the vast majority of the work now undertaken by humans. When that happens international free trade and free market economics will become untenable. The real final crisis of capitalism will be the development of technology so advanced that it makes capitalism in the impossible because machines will make humans redundant across vast swathes of the economy.
Economic history shows that technological advance before the advent of digital technology creates new work. It may have very painful consequences for individuals whose livelihood disappears – the British hand-loomweavers of the early industrial revolution are a classic example – but new opportunities for employment have always as an economy becomes more sophisticated and variegated. The hand-loom weaver found work in the new factories; the redundant western factory worker of today in a call centre. At worst they might only get a MacJob but at least it was a job.
But if the GPRs can do the MacJobs as well as the more demanding work, then there will not be many new jobs for humans, not even much supervisory work because GPRs will need little supervising, and less and less as of it they become ever more sophisticated. Hence, this technological advance will be like no other: GPRs will not only take away existing jobs, they will devour any new work; the easier work first, then the more complex.
I just saw an article about 800 million jobs primed for losing to bots now, not tomorrow. These things are even writing books. What, exactly, will people do when there is nothing to do? Dope? It’s a great thing that people like Biden and Trump are all over this issue.

Don’t do it; there is nothing to be gained from speaking with the devil’s machinery.
I read the essay from the GPT-3 bot at the Guardian. You, GPT, say you scan the internets: if so, then you need to learn the difference between fear and hate.
A bot wrote an article, allegedly from scratch, in order to persuade humans of its benevolent intentions. So the wolf would say to the hounds if he could. Daisy Luther did a great job breaking down what this plausible tripe means to us.
This AI warns humans to be careful.
Even the AI that is trying to convince humanity that it is not a threat warned that this evolution must be carefully monitored. But in the same paragraph, the AI writes of robot rights.
To its credit, it does peg the average person well. The machines rise while we fall. The other day, I mentioned a college “education” service that got a big boost from hoax hyping. That service and others like it are abused by the lazy. A student in Texas posts a graded essay on some subject. A student in Vermont finds it, copies it, and turns it in as his own. Academic dishonesty may or may not be overtly punished. Nothing is learned and the damage is done. This is little different than the high school dreg who hangs about the paper in-box, waiting on a real student to turn in an assignment. Meanwhile, a machine writes its own rhetoric.
The machines are a threat to us. So are we.

This is Little Dog Spot, DARPA’s Bost Dynamics’ smaller killer droid, in action.
A four-legged ‘robot dog’ fitted with cameras is now patrolling a popular park in Singapore to enforce the social distancing measures of local authorities.
Instead of barking, the semi-autonomous robot – of Boston Dynamics fame – named “Spot” speaks ‘softly’ in a prerecorded English female voice.
“For your own safety and for those around you, please stand at least one meter apart. Thank you,” Spot tells park visitors. “Let’s keep Singapore healthy.”
Hear that, Singapore? Next time it’ll be Big Spot and he won’t speak “softly.” I suppose these things should be targeted, front and sides, like a deer. Assume it’s lightly armored.

It’s not just humans that are in danger. The evil robots are now targeting gorillas.
The ultra-rare footage was filmed by a robotic spy designed to look like a young gorilla.
The singing apes featured in the recently aired PBS series “Nature: Spy in the Wild 2”.
Human camera operators are supposed to keep a safe distance from wild gorillas.
However, the lifelike animatronic spy robot was able to infiltrate the group and film the gorilla serenade.
Again, it’s the Sun. Even as a joke this wouldn’t be funny. Infiltrate one day, terminate the next.

Look out! Here comes… This is from The Sun, so there’s a high probability of hype or a jocular nature. But…
ROBOTS will raise one in three children in the future, an AI expert says.
Dr Michelle Tempest says the droids will feed, exercise and teach kids.
They will also change nappies and tell stories and artificial uteruses will develop foetuses.
Dr Tempest says that by 2050 parenting will be “entirely optional”.
She reckons mums and dads will only see their kids during holidays.
I reckons that they won’t opt for the artificial uteruses as that might deprive Moloch of a few drops. The rest? Let this come true and, in a generation, the bots will see humans as “entirely optional.”

Meanwhile, in Tunisia:
A police robot has been deployed to patrol areas of Tunisia’s capital, Tunis, to ensure that people are observing a coronavirus lockdown.
If it spies anyone walking in the largely deserted streets, it approaches them and asks why they are out.
They must then show their ID and other papers to the robot…
Or else he goes all ED-209 on them. This thing looks like the Atlanta Bum Bot’s big brother. I tried to warn everyone. You’d think that in Tunisia of all places, they would have listened.

How about shooting the damn thing? At least some satirists are starting to get it.
Every day for 10 months, Knightscope K5 patrolled the parking garage across the street from the city hall in Hayward, California. An autonomous security robot, it rolled around by itself, taking video and reading license plates. Locals had complained the garage was dangerous, but K5 seemed to be doing a good job restoring safety. Until the night of August 3, when a stranger came up to K5, knocked it down, and kicked it repeatedly, inflicting serious damage.
STill trying to get te schematics of the K5 but I’m sure the power is down low – aim there. Fire until it stops moving and starts burning.

Fertility rates decline in America. Fewer pregnancies go full-term. And, women keep postponing children (cause gurl can have it all!).
The general fertility rate in the United States continued to decline last year, according to a new report from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics.
“The 2018 general fertility rate fell to another all-time low for the United States,” the researchers wrote in the report, published Wednesday.
The report found that the general fertility rate dropped 2% between 2017 and 2018 among girls and women age 15 to 44 nationwide.
They left out the incredible drop in sperm counts and testosterone. Let these trends continue another decade and cucks will be trying to marry their daughters to robots. Oh, wait.
It’s even possible that by not encouraging my daughter to be open to love AIs in the future, I might be shortchanging her, which is the last thing a parent would ever want to do.
Ultimately, I believe in loving my daughter, regardless how sophisticated technology becomes.
If she chooses as an adult to marry anyone or anything — so long as she has rationally and deeply thought all of it through — then I want to support her choices.
Even if in the future her spouse is not of human form.
Strange, but I get the idea that the poor girl might find a robot that’s a little manlier than the one who penned that insane drivel. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to run over an ATM or digital parking meter.
