Better ban vans quick, as they found out in Baltimore today.

‘No bomb’ found in van with 1,000 gallons of gas in downtown Baltimore parking garage, precautionary sweeps continue…

Baltimore emergency officials evacuated a large area of downtown on Monday after an abandoned van loaded with 1,000 gallons of gasoline was discovered in the parking garage of one of the city’s most venerable companies, officials said.

Shortly after 11 a.m. police received a call about a suspicious vehicle in the parking garage of 100 E. Pratt St., home to T. Rowe Price, one of the city’s largest private employers. Officials quickly began an evacuation from several high rise buildings that sparked Sept. 11 anxiety and turned the heart of the city’s business and tourist district into a crime scene tied off with yellow tape.

Thank God it wasn’t a bomb! Or a white nationalist with a fully-automatic military assault cannon. Now, now… Russia! could still be behind this.

I have been saying this for a while now: #VanControl! Think of the children.

It is a little embarrassing, but I forgot to include gasoline in my big list of things they need to ban for safety. Addendum: ban petrol! I think we can all agree that nobody outside of the police or the military needs vans or unleaded gas. Hunters and sportsmen can make do with gold carts and steam power, just like the Founders envisioned. No-one wants to take away your 3rd Amendment protections! We just need a little common sense gun control van control, etc. All garages are equal! How can one possibly justify such high-capacity gas cans? Waiting periods at the pump! Bump pump? Background checks. I saw a red flag and I’m saying something. Blah, blah, blah.

Anyone heard from ISIS lately? Rep. Ilan (D-Somalia) aside, I don’t think they’ve been active since the LVNV shooting and/or cover-up. I was starting to think they had read and adopted Napoleon’s “not interfering with” ideology regarding the late-stage US Empire.

Or, could this be a sad attempt to divert attention from the Patriots’ great start on their record seventh SB run?

Hell, it’s Baltimore – we’ll probably never know. I’m just glad no hedge funds were harmed in this LARP.

UPDATE: It was just diesel fuel and alleged theft, of diesel fuel. #DieselControl!

Walmart’s Red Flag

Another great reason to avoid the dreadful aisles of Wally-World.

Walmart said Tuesday it will discontinue all sales of handgun ammunition and sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition that can be used with military style weapons, following two “horrific” shootings at Walmart stores this summer. It will also stop all handgun sales in Alaska, marking its complete exit from the handguns category.

The biggest retailer in the world is additionally asking customers at Walmart and Sam’s Club to no longer openly carry firearms in stores, in states where “open carry” is allowed, unless they are authorized law enforcement officers. Open carry legislation is currently on the books in more than 26 states, Dan Bartlett, executive vice president of corporate affairs, said during a call with members of the media.

Walmart said it won’t be changing its policy for customers who have permits for concealed carry. And it will be adding signage to stores in the coming weeks to communicate the changes.

I think the message is loud and clear. Sam Walton would be so proud.

More (recent) lessons on America’s schools (this example being one of the better ones):

After an interview and teaching a few “test” classes to first- and second-year students, I was hired.  Within a few days, however, it was clear that many students did not understand English grammar, much less Latin fundamentals.  In response, I taught remedial grammar and outlined how students could pass my course with a “C” or “D.”  There were some excellent students, but test scores were not distributed in a bell-shaped curve.  It was an “inverted” bell, or bimodal distribution — with scores clumped at the two extremes.

Poor preparation was only the tip of the iceberg.  Students did not bring books to class, relentlessly complained about homework, and expected high grades regardless of proficiency.  When I asked questions, I uncovered some alarming facts:

  • Latin was a dumping ground for students who already had failed another language; “picking up a few phrases” was the goal.
  • Many teachers expected little but awarded high grades.
  • Students were subjected to parental pressure to obtain good grades regardless of performance.
  • A department head had been demoted for teaching at a pre-college level and refusing to lower his standards.
  • Senior teachers were dropping out in disgust; younger teachers had no choice but to accept the situation.
  • Under parental pressure, the principal was establishing a process to prevent students from having to take more than one test on the same day.  College prep?

Tom Ironsides and I can vouch for this collapse. We will. Soon.

Artistic mental health warning label. Theodore Dalrymple sums up some of my views on the grotesque trend of “inking.”

This, perhaps, explains the outbreak of mass self-mutilation in the form of piercings and tattooing that has overtaken the West. In many countries, the proportion of the tattooed in the population has now risen to about a third. No doubt most of them, if asked, would say that they were expressing themselves, or telling the world who they really are. There could be no better—or in my opinion sadder—testimony to mass inner emptiness than this.

When I first noticed the ascent of tattooing up the social scale about twenty years ago—the type of people who were getting themselves tattooed who would once never have dreamed of doing so—I explained it as the advertisement of a supposedly virtuous political identification with the marginalized in society, to whom tattooing had until then largely been confined, no doubt combined with the eternal desire to shock Mum and Dad. But this theory, if it were ever true, can be true no longer. Self-mutilation is now a fashion, true enough, and perhaps one should not look too deeply for the vagaries of taste; but a fashion that marks you indelibly is more than a fashion for, say, a silly hat or a polo-neck sweater.

These days, Mum and Dad have probably beat the kids to the needle – Granny too. In a way I like it. A visible tattoo lets one know who and what one is dealing with. But, the sheer number says something about the decline of the people. A 2018 University of Miami study verified the obvious: tattoos are highly indicative of mental illness.

But, not yours… I’m sure yours is so very special. Go talk to yourself about that.

But… So Interconnected…

The Millennials and the Z kids are lonely, in spite of (or because of) all that social crapia…

According to a recent YouGov survey, some 30 percent of American millennials say that they are “lonely.” More than 20 percent report that they have no friends; a quarter claim to have no close ones. Many even insist that they have no “acquaintances,” which should, one hopes, be impossible. But I wonder. For even younger people, in so-called “Generation Z,” the figures are even bleaker.

We can make facile jokes about avocado toast and baristas with degrees in cultural studies who spend more time on Instagram than they do in real-life conversations with non-customers. There may be a bit of truth in these caricatures. But I’m not sure we should find them amusing.

Hey, kids! Let this Xer set you straight – with a little Boomer lyrical wisdom:

decline, hatred, Paul Craig Roberts, shooting, white men

PCR on the teeming hatred against the core of America.

The white core population, despite its almost fatal insouciance, is gradually concluding that many forces are at work to stamp it out. Unrestrained immigration is only one of them.

The unintended consequences of demonizing the white population—all except those guilt-ridden white liberals living on multi-million dollar trust funds who join in the demonization of white people—are many and far reaching. For example, why would any white male with a brain join the military of a country that has abandoned his interest and is operating against him? Why would he join a military of a country that the Democratic Party prevents from defending its own borders? Why would he join a military and be sent to kill Arabs in the Middle East and blacks in North Africa when he is taught to feel guilt for his racial hatred of “racial minorities?”

Doesn’t a country collapse when its core population is demonized and dispossessed?

When agendas advance themselves by using lies to suppress truth, how can rational decisions be made?

When emotions displace reason, the result is conflict.

Mass shootings are new in our history and are becoming more prevalent. These shootings seem to be leading to the repeal of the Second Amendment. Indeed, I am certain that the US Supreme Court justices are being lobbied by “progressive forces” as I write to change their ruling in order to save lives. As the shootings advance gun control, many gun owners believe that the shootings are orchestrated by the deep state in order to disarm the population and thereby prevent any resistance to the tyranny of the rising police state, which as John Whitehead has made clear is in plain view.

In other words, trust, an important cement in any society, is everywhere being erased.

When trust is erased, things fall apart.

When things fall apart, mass violence is the consequence.

The El Paso shooter’s manifesto, kept from you by the sordid presstitutes, is here.

I’m not too sure about the manifesto. Gaping holes and inconsistencies. The truth, however, certainly is inconvenient. Things haven’t even started to heat up.

Outsourcing, along with obesity, usury, and sodomy, is one of those Amerikan values we keep hearing about. One more desperate way to wring a little more out before the end. This time, with Lowes.

Lowe’s Co LOW -1.88% s. told thousands of store workers this week their jobs were being eliminated as the company outsourced tasks such as assembling barbecue grills and janitorial services.

The home-improvement chain notified maintenance staff and assemblers that put together grills, wheelbarrows and other products that they were being laid off, according to the company and employees. Those roles will be taken over by third-party companies.

Each of Lowe’s roughly 1,800 U.S. stores has several staff members doing these jobs. Laid off employees, including full-time staff with years of service, aren’t being paid severance. Instead they are being offered “transition pay” totaling up to about two weeks for full-time workers, one employee said. All workers are able to reapply for open positions with the company, employees said, but aren’t guaranteed the same hourly pay.

Lowe’s employed 190,000 full-time and 110,000 part-time workers as of Feb. 1.

“We are moving to third-party assemblers and facility services to allow Lowe’s store associates to spend more time on the sales floor serving customers,” said a spokeswoman for Lowe’s.

Really? This one caught my eye because, a year to two back, I bought a pre-assembled floor model BBQ grill from Lowes. The guy who helped me, the customer, ON THE FLOOR, was the same dude who had assembled the grill. Now, he’s competing for another job? Who’ll do his? Robots? Illegals? Calling BS on this one. BBQ-S.

1965, America, decline, turn off the lights, whites

Some exciting news from the Census Bureau!

The births of white babies outnumbered those of minorities by a hair, according to new U.S. Census Bureau data that also showed that the most common age for whites is 58 versus 11 for Hispanics.

The latest census data, covering up to 2013, showed that there were 2,943 more white babies born than minorities out of a total of 3,942,783.

No changes whatsoever.

1765: Stamp Act passed; people resentful

1865: Tyrant tramples Constitution; people relent

1965: Globohomo triumphs; people asleep

2065???: Very little remains; people dead… ???

decline, Navy, USS Gerald Ford

It’s an aircraft carrier. Who cares if it can’t launch planes or arm them?

It’s another setback for contractor Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. — and for the Navy, which had said in December it planned to complete installation and testing of all 11 elevators before the Ford completed its post-delivery shakedown phase this month, with at least half certified for operation.

Instead, the shakedown phase has been extended to October and the vessel won’t have all the elevators installed — much less functioning — by then, according to Luria, a 20-year Navy surface warfare officer whose served on two aircraft carriers and as shore maintenance coordinator for a third.

“Essentially, the ship can’t deploy,” Luria said. “It can’t carry ammunition.” She said the Navy and Huntington Ingalls are trying to solve new problems with doors and hatches lining elevators shafts that don’t meet specifications.

Navy Secretary Richard Spencer, who’s currently filling in as acting deputy defense secretary, said in January that he told President Donald Trump to fire him if the service couldn’t fix the weapons elevators by July. Instead, Trump praised the Ford as “phenomenal” on July 22.

The Ford’s Advanced Weapons Elevators are designed for the carrier’s crew to move as much as 24,000 pounds of ordnance at 150 feet-per-minute, up from the 10,500 pounds at 100 feet-per-minute on the older Nimitz-class carrier. That would increase by more than 30% the number of combat sorties that could launch from the carrier over 24 hours, according to the Navy.

The elevators aren’t the only issue plaguing the ship, which has had problems with two other core systems — the electromagnetic system to launch planes and the arresting gear to catch them when they land.

Does it even have engines and a rudder?

America, culture, decline, fertility, Perrin hates robots, robots

Fertility rates decline in America. Fewer pregnancies go full-term. And, women keep postponing children (cause gurl can have it all!).

The general fertility rate in the United States continued to decline last year, according to a new report from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics.

“The 2018 general fertility rate fell to another all-time low for the United States,” the researchers wrote in the report, published Wednesday.

The report found that the general fertility rate dropped 2% between 2017 and 2018 among girls and women age 15 to 44 nationwide.

They left out the incredible drop in sperm counts and testosterone. Let these trends continue another decade and cucks will be trying to marry their daughters to robots. Oh, wait.

It’s even possible that by not encouraging my daughter to be open to love AIs in the future, I might be shortchanging her, which is the last thing a parent would ever want to do.

Ultimately, I believe in loving my daughter, regardless how sophisticated technology becomes.

If she chooses as an adult to marry anyone or anything — so long as she has rationally and deeply thought all of it through — then I want to support her choices.

Even if in the future her spouse is not of human form.

Strange, but I get the idea that the poor girl might find a robot that’s a little manlier than the one who penned that insane drivel. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to run over an ATM or digital parking meter.
