John Paul Stevens

I miss a lot of deaths. It’s a big world, sorry. John Paul Stevens died this week.

Former Supreme Court Associate Justice John Paul Stevens, one of the longest-serving justices on the bench, died Tuesday evening at the age of 99, the court announced in a statement.

The cause of death was “complications following a stroke he suffered on July 15,” the court said.

Stevens served on the Supreme Court for nearly 35 years, and became its leading liberal — although Stevens himself rejected that characterization.

The man defied convention, yes. And, he would have defied (and eliminated) the Second Amendment. But, as some maybe three or four of you know, he had one of the best methods for statutory interpretation ever devised. It might have been better if he had followed it. Anyway, I know, being once the law student who wrote the research paper on the (boring) subject. That floats around somewhere. Let me sense a mass demand for its republication, and I’ll hop right on it.

I made fun of the man to a degree but he was an intellectual titan. He was a patriot and a true American. Getting harder to find those now – of any persuasion. He’s in a better place though he will be missed here.

A confession from the Creature:

Thursday was a Red Letter day for that old “you don’t say!” riposte. We are referring to the obvious response to Powell’s black and white confession to the Senate Banking Committee yesterday that more people working doesn’t cause inflation.

“The relationship between the slack in the economy or unemployment and inflation was a strong one 50 years ago … and has gone away,” Powell said Thursday during his testimony before the Senate Banking Committee. He added the strong tie between unemployment and inflation was broken at least 20 years ago and the relationship “has become weaker and weaker and weaker.”

Read that. Look at the graphs. Think about the parroted absurdities from ECON 101 (if such still be foisted). If you understand the hilarious implications, then you may continue as a reader here.

Due to a scheduling conflict at TPC, please find herein the Column of the Week! Updates follow, below.

Good Rhetoric Requires Good Action

Just about every time that I write off the Trumpster as a failure, he says (always, always via Twitter…) something that makes me reconsider. The man is a Baby Boomer and a civic nationalist. In other words, he generally falls for the fallacy that America (or the United States) is a proposition nation, wherein anyone, of any stripe, may assimilate and become an American. If that ever happened on a majority scale, then it might be worth debating. But, it does not happen that way. It’s a lie, poems on statutes notwithstanding.

HERE! I insert a crowd-pleasing first photograph, which I am led to believe will increase the devotion of the Facebook darlings. You’re welcome.

No need for pictures here.

I’ve covered who and what “Americans” are – a distinct People – before. If you’re having trouble with the concept, please consider the Webster’s Dictionary definition of the noun. B-b-but, that was 1828! Things and words change. If that’s true, then what of the word “dictionary?” Has “a book containing the words” morphed into “a book containing the lies?”

Trump set off a firestorm among Not Americans, subversives, Europhobes, and idiots, when he Tweeted that Ilhan Omar (D-Somalia) and several other US Representatives (US, certainly not American) should get the hell back to where they belong. “[Y]ou can’t leave fast enough.”

The Trump/Tweeties… (‘cept this one).

No, Mr. President, they really can’t. And, they’re not going to leave on their own. That’s where the ACTION comes in. Trump is the one man who can literally force the seditious elements to depart. He should do so immediately.

The Post-1965 Era is a demographic disaster of Biblical proportions ( or “Koranic” for Omar, “Taldumic” for Ben Shapiro). America currently endures the largest invasion in recorded history. Someone said something about a wall. (A LOT is said). There’s even a (toothless) state of emergency in effect. Maybe it’s time to DO something about the trauma.

The tools are there, most of a military persuasion. Thirty Mike Mike! makes one hell of a tweet. As for Omar, et al, the solution of precedent is expulsion via deportation. Nothing new, here. America’s favorite President of all Union-saving, slave-freeing time set it in 1863 when he forcibly deported a real US Rep. from Ohio, Clement Vallandigham. Vallandigham, considered by Lincoln an agitator, was seized by soldiers and shoved across the border into the Confederacy. Not wanted there either, he was removed to Canada. Mind you that he fit the dictionary definition of “American.” If it was good enough for a native son, then it’s too damned good for someone from The Mog.

The past few days, I’ve read with amusement some of the predictable tripe from the likes of Shapiro, David French, Bill Kristol, Bill de Blasio, and Ari Cohen – all of whom should also be deported – about “racism,” “Republicans can do better,” “nation of immigrants,” etc. de Blasio lied something about America being a “nation of immigrants” for “hundreds of years.” He likely read that in a Common Core textbook or an old SDS recruitment comic.

To make a point, I now devolve into the use of pictures. These I understand boost something with the social media types. Unfortunately, they’re pictures of charts. Anyway, here’s how many hundreds of years “nation of immigrants” has been in common English parlance: OTHER UNNECESSARY PICs HAD FOLLOWED.

Before you go and think about having spotted a trend or something, please note that the foregoing is mere fact. Facts are not poems etched on sacred sculpture. Nineteen-Sixty-Five. No changes at all…

For my part, I look forward to Trump’s non-verbal responses to all of this about the same time he arrests the Board of Governors for the Fed, decrees the NFA and GCA Unconstitutional, forcibly sides with Norma McCorvey, and halts the invasion. (Most will occur in the nearer future, if not on 45’s watch). However, only last week, I didn’t even look for his verbose defense. Maybe things do change.

THE UPDATES:

The people who will re-elect Trump, share my idea.

Attendees at a ‘Make America Great Again’ campaign rally Wednesday night in Greenville, N.C. chanted “send her back” after President Trump trashed Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), claiming she is not proud of America and that she wouldn’t disavow al Qaeda in an interview.

Not that anything being a good Val is necessary, but it appears Trump has ample evidence to back deportation (we’ve known about all of these issues for some time).

A video released by Minnesota’s Alpha News makes the case for anti-Trump Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s deportation, citing evidence allegedly proving she committed immigration, marriage and tax fraud.

The Gateway Pundit says they were “sent several updates on Ilhan’s story in the past two days. Our sources are hesitant to go public due to concerns of retribution from certain segments in the US Somali community.”

On Wednesday, a reporter asked President Trump about Omar’s alleged marriage to her own brother and POTUS said, “I hear she was married to her brother… I don’t know, but I’m sure somebody will be looking at that.”

Somebody like ICE or the Army, maybe? Probably not…

Look for another exciting and timely piece at TPC next week, focusing on a cool new trend currently sweeping the nation-shaped kind of place.

Guns in School: a Mark of Civilized Society

guns, schools, society, Walter Williams

Dr. Walter Williams and many others have written about this very subject before. It bears repeating.

Here’s a suggestion. How about setting up some high school rifle clubs? Students would bring their own rifles to school, store them with the team coach and, after classes, collect them for practice. You say: “Williams, you must be crazy! To prevent gun violence, we must do all we can to keep guns out of the hands of kids.”

There’s a problem with this reasoning. Prior to the 1960s, many public high schools had shooting clubs. In New York City, shooting clubs were started at Boys, Curtis, Commercial, Manual Training and Stuyvesant high schools. Students carried their rifles to school on the subway and turned them over to their homeroom or gym teacher. Rifles were retrieved after school for target practice. In some rural areas across the nation, there was a long tradition of high school students hunting before classes and storing their rifles in the trunks of their cars, parked on school grounds, during the school day.

High school rifles: more elegant weapons from a more civilized age. No changes whatsoever…

Whither Voltaire?

Certainly not the modern Post-American university. PCR explains:

When I was a student liberal professors found Voltaire to be an exemplar of the correct attitude toward free speech. Voltaire quotes were used everywhere in the halls of learning:

“Think for yourself and let others enjoy the privilege of doing so too.”

“I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend your right to say it.”

“Cherish those who seek the truth but beware of those who find it.”

“Doubt is an uncomfortable condition, but certainty is a ridiculous one.”

“It is clear that the individual who persecutes a man, his brother, because he is not of the same opinion, is a monster.”

Today Voltaire is never heard from. Dogma has shoved aside tolerance and taken control of American universities in which Political Correctness, an ideology or religion in which emotional-based beliefs of certain “preferred” groups with aristocratic or Vatican privileges, such as black activists, abortionists, and sexual deviants, cannot be “offended” by facts or by someone’s contrary opinion.

For any SJWs unfortunate enough to have found this page, Voltaire was America’s fourth president, a racist and slave owner. You know what to do.

"racist", America, BS

It’s funny that, after killing the meaning of “American,” the retards have done away with any context behind “racist.” “Your” elected cretins were at it again:

The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives passed a resolution on Tuesday night condemning President Donald Trump for his “racist comments” about four Democratic congresswomen of color.

The resolution passed largely along party lines — 235 Democrats joined by only four Republican supported the measure — following hours of back-and-forth and gamesmanship between Republicans and Democrats, which included a GOP objection to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s remarks about Trump and whether she would be allowed to keep speaking on the floor.

The four Republicans who voted for the resolution, which “strongly condemns President Donald Trump’s racist comments that have legitimized and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color,” were Will Hurd of Texas, Fred Upton of Michigan, Susan Brooks of Indiana and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania.

Brilliant! Why didn’t they ever think to call Trump (or any white man) a “racist” before now? Next, they’ll cleverly suggest he’s “worse than Hitler,” maybe literally so. Then, look for accusations that Orange Man is a Russian agent. These people are smart if nothing else.

Vox Day on the new, meaningless meanings:

Nations are not soil, they are blood and birth. Because nations are people, extended families that share genetics, language, religion, culture, and traditions.

If America is for everyone, if anyone can become American, then America does not exist. Which, of course, is the insidious objective of the entire exercise in redefining it.

Of course, the idiots in the House proved the opposite point with the chosen language of their pitiful condemnation. “New” Americans, “people of color” Americans, along with all the many hyphenated (explicitly noted or otherwise) Americans, are prima facie NOT “Americans.” This week’s TPC column will continue this pointless discussion with a few actionable recommendations that will never be acted upon.

AI, EVIL with a capital E, future, Perrin hates robots, robots, technology

A very old manual model… Oh, hello there! Just making some preservation notes for the future. Say, wouldn’t you just love having your brain wired directly into the Matrix?

Elon Musk, the futurist billionaire behind SpaceX and Tesla, outlined his plans to connect humans’ brains directly to computers on Tuesday night, describing a campaign to create “symbiosis with artificial intelligence.” He said the first prototype could be implanted in a person by the end of next year.

Arriving at that goal “will take a long time,” Musk said in a presentation at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, noting that securing federal approval for implanted neural devices is difficult. But testing on animals is already underway, and “a monkey has been able to control the computer with his brain,” he said.

Musk founded Neuralink Corp. in July 2016 to create “ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers.” The company said in 2017 that its initial goal was to devise brain interfaces to alleviate the symptoms of chronic medical conditions.

It’s widely presumed, however, that Musk is characteristically after something much larger. He has frequently warned that the rapid advance of artificial intelligence, or AI, threatens to leave humanity in the dust, calling it an existential risk.

Yessiree! That thar future holds all kinds of Satanic evil humanity-destroying exciting promise. I’m sure this is all perfectly safe and will greatly assist with the enstupidation, fattening, and ultimate killing off of the mortal humans.

Not the Biggest Danger

globalism, libertarian, not quite, socialism

Michael Rozeff plays ardent libertarian today at LRC. He’s certainly correct that the globohomo crowd greatly increases the odds of socialism. However, that predicament pales in comparison to the real danger posed by the mass migration of peoples.

I’ve found one recent paper (October 2016 in the Journal of Politics) that examines our situation with respect to Mexicans in our country. Mexicans constitute about 1/3 of our immigrant population. The title is “Partisanship by Invitation: Immigrants Respond to Political Campaigns”.

The study examined two elections: 2006 and 2008. The authors, James A. McCann and Katsuo A. Nishikawa Chávez, find that the Democratic party benefited much more highly from its partisan appeals than did the Republican party. The detailed findings led the authors to conclude

“Barring a major shift in the dispositions of Republican lawmakers and party activists towards identities and issues that Mexicans and other immigrant groups hold dear, a shift that appears improbable at this juncture, there is likely little chance that Republican campaign messages in any electoral environment could pull the Mexican-born toward that party, even if Republican candidates themselves are perceived as personally attractive figures.”

Although the Republican party has been no stranger to socialist legislation, such as extending Medicare to prescription benefits, the Democrats are worse. They typically propose the socialist extensions and campaign for them for years on end until they become law.

The biggest danger of uncontrolled or unlimited immigration is that it shifts American politics even more greatly toward socialism.

Wrong. All the old left-right, Dems-Repubs, liberal-conservative ideation is now useless. The problem is not economic nor even purely political. When it comes down to it, the kind of socio-economic structure is irrelevant. That’s because the open borders agenda is far worse than any scheme heretofore practiced outside of ancient Babylon (maybe Sodom and Gomorrah). Old hardline Soviet Communism, while less than desirable, was better. For all its problems, it did not seek to destroy the Soviet Nation and People. Globalism does.

The true danger of allowing mass migration and unfettered “free markets,” is that they destroy families, communities, nations, and peoples. Literally, almost nothing is left but an incompatible mass of jumbled humanity without any common culture or tradition. The exception to the “almost nothing” is violence. Power-loving Republicans, power-loving Democrats, and pot-loving Libertarians are steering us gleefully if stupidly into war. And that, when it comes, is a little worse than the loss of property rights.

The current scheme isn’t predictive of or prerequisite to collapse. It is a collapse in progress. Vox Day illustrates using the Trump-Omar row as an example. Read that.

America, neocons, Trump, truth

Then you know the truth is being told. (((Ariana Cohen))) takes Trump to task for defending America. She, Bill Crystal, Benny Shapiro, and the rest are more anti-Posterity than the liberal left has ever been.

President Trump whacked the beehive Sunday, setting off an unnecessary controversy that understandably got Democrats upset.

In a poorly worded tweet storm directed at freshman Democrat congresswomen who trash talk him and America regularly, the president went off: “So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how….it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”

First off, there are a few problems with his tweet, starting with the fact that three of the four congresswomen he’s referring to were born in the United States — so they’re not going anywhere.

The only problem is with the non-Westerners who invade, subvert, destroy, and refuse to recognize reality and refuse to go away. It’s time for all of them to go home. Now.

government, list, tyranny

Some attorneys will get the wordplay…

A starter list of what’s gone wrong these past eleven decades or so, leading us here, to the brink.

The United States of America seems to have a suicide wish as it wanders aimlessly down a continually narrowing path that can only lead to national ruin. Is this a premeditated act of self-annihilation or simply a series of foolish choices?

Before a nation can be effectively destroyed from within it is necessary first that it be owned lock, stock and barrel. An independent, freedom-loving people are less easily controlled than one that is effectively ball and chained, which brings us to the first step in the program.

Create a Central Bank

Beginning around 1910, representatives from the leading banking powerhouses – Morgan, Rockefeller, Rothschild, Warburg and Kuhn-Loeb – began meeting in secret at distant retreats, and not for the purpose of philandering with underage girls, mind you. No, these elitists had a totally different sort of crime up their sleeves, and that was to dominate the entire US banking system. And would it really surprise anyone that they succeeded? This was achieved by the passage of the Federal Reserve Act, signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson on Dec. 23, 1913, which took away the constitutional power “to coin money, regulate the value thereof,” as enacted by the US Constitution.

As Anthony C. Sutton summed up the dire situation in his book, The Federal Reserve Conspiracy, “Congress handed over all monetary powers to the Fed in 1913. The Fed is a private bank, owned by banks, and pays dividends on its shares owned only by banks. The Fed is a private Bankers’ Bank.”

A very good start. Read the whole thing and try to imagine it without the civic nationalist foolishness (Salvo means very well). Then, add to it the following:

16th Amendment (taxes)

17th Amendment (abdication of the States)

19th Amendment (sorry, gals)

The Wars (especially WWI and WWII)

The Imperial military

The Fifth column

The lowered IQs

The collapse of Christianity

The subversion by non-Christians

The Rise of the Total Empire

The Deep State

Gun Control

The convolution of the Constitution (as originally intended)

And, some more.
