What the Ninth Circuit did today is as amazing as it is illegal. These slimy bastards have essentially ruled that foreign invaders have the same rights, more rights, than American citizens.

Pat Buchanan has some ideas on how Trump could reign in the insanity.

I have another: as these traitors have sided with our enemies during time of conflict, declare them enemy combatants. Then get rid of them.

cities, home, United States

U.S. News & World Report just released its list of the 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S.A. If you’re thinking about relocating, retiring, or just window shopping, this might be a good tool. Otherwise, it’s still nifty.

boston

Trip Advisor.

This, mind you, is a list of the 100 largest metropolitan areas – all with populations over 500,000. If you’re looking for a small town, there are other lists. Still, for what this is, it’s a pretty comprehensive assessment. I suppose respect for the ranking order is subjective though USN did stick to a particular methodology.

Their Top Ten:

Austin, TX

Denver, CO

San Jose, CA

Washington, DC

Fayetteville, AR

Seattle, WA

Raleigh & Durham, NC

Boston, MA

Des Moines, IA

Salt Lake City, UT

I might reorder those. That’s just me.

With a handful of exceptions I think I’ve been to most every town on the list. I split my time between two of the 100 – neither of which made the top spots. One is a “medium” sized city – by USN’s measurement – the other is “X-Large”. If I’m honest, both have their charm and draws. Odd, considering I’m really a smaller town kind of guy.

Anyway, check it out and see how your city ranks.

Oh, by the way: No. 8, Boston (Foxborough), Mass., is home to the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. No. 50, Atlanta, is home to the Coca-Cola Museum and a traffic jam.

The Five: We’re SO Innocent

Bush I, Donald Trump, Fox News, Putin, Super Bowl

Yesterday, for some inexplicable reason, I watched about 10 minutes of The Five on Fox News. The legs and plunging necklines I can handle. The babbling, not so much.

The two hotties and the three amigos were chatting about Bill O’s interview with President Trump. Bill called Putin a murderer and asked Trump how he could possibly like the man. Trump’s answer was straight forward: “And, we’re so innocent?” It seemed perfectly reasonable to me as it implied an uncomfortable truth or two. The gang however, token dissenter Juan Williams included, were not amused.

They took turns ranting about how the U.S. was the purest, cleanest, best-smelling nation in history. They rebuked the President: “We don’t elect murderers!” “None of our officials ever worked for the KGB!” Pure outrage. Then they switched to G.H.W. Bush’s coin flip at the Super Bowl. One would have thought it had been Jesus returned for the ceremony. The men unashamedly said they cried or something. The legs crossed. I turned it off.

A complete aside: it was the Super Bowl where the Patriots beat the Falcons after falling behind 28-3. That one…

That we know of, we have no KGB in our government, true. But one ex-president was also the ex head of the CIA, our KGB stand-in. Said ex-president was elected on a promise not to raise taxes. He did. Then he took us to war in the sand for nothing. Then he helped tank the economy. Then he said something about the new world order, threw up on the Prime Minister of Japan, and rode off into the Texas sunset. There he stayed until the NFL asked him to flip a coin Sunday night.

But we’re so innocent.

Fox. Heh, heh, heh.

Those legs were made for irony.

Billionaire globalist George Soros, his funds and foundation, have garnered recent news for funding immigrant causes, BLM, and the various violent Rent-A-Mobs de jure. It seems he also funds a far more dangerous element:

Records: Soros Fund Execs Funded Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, John McCain, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham in 2016

Soros Fund Management, a former hedge fund that serves now as an investment management firm, was founded by progressive billionaire George Soros in 1969. It has risen to become one of the most profitable hedge funds in the industry. Employees of the firm are heavily involved in backing political candidates giving millions upon millions to groups that were supporting failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton for the presidency.

But more importantly, perhaps, than the unsurprising giant lump sums of cash funneled into Democratic Party and Clinton coffers is the revelation thanks to the Center for Responsive Politics that employees of the Soros firm—now run by his son Robert Soros—pumped tens of thousands of dollars into the campaigns of top anti-Trump Republicans over the course of 2016.

In total, executives with the Soros-founded company pushed $36,800 into the coffers of these GOP candidates just this past cycle. That does not include Super PACs or campaign committees, which saw tens of thousands of dollars more. While these numbers for Republicans pale in comparison to the millions upon millions poured into Democratic groups, causes, and candidates, it is significant that Soros executives are making a play inside the GOP. Perhaps even more significant is the type of Republican they aim to prop up: pro-amnesty, pro-open borders on trade, and generally speaking anti-Trump. A pattern emerges when looking at the policies of the Republicans that these Soros Fund Management executives support financially.

It males perfect sense. Manipulators have always backed both (multiple) sides in any event or conflict so as to maintain some control no matter the ultimate outcome. And it makes sense that the same man who funds violent criminals and invaders also pays for even bigger criminals in D.C.

dirty-money

Nonprofit Quarterly.

Just let this serve as a reminder that almost no mainstream politicians are beyond being bought and paid for. Soros wields far more power in any of these circles than you or I. The Big Club, George Carlin called it. It’s real.

North to Canada

Word has it that many recent arrivals in the U.S. are preemptively self-deporting. This comes ahead of President Trump’s full measures to reform immigration and secure America for Americans. It seems that these good folks didn’t really want to live here after all. Canada, it seems, is where the warmer welcome and more generous welfare benefits may be had. Northern neighbors: buyer beware.

Bigger, Better Bombs?

During a visit to MacDill AFB in Tampa, the President told assembled troops he was going to heavily “invest” in America’s military. What he means by this remains to be seen. However, it sounds expensive, especially for a nation that already spends more on the military than the rest of the world and also happens to be dead broke.

If this has to do with a modernization, aimed at actual defense of the U.S. from terrorists, then good. If it has to do with the Iran saber-rattling, then … hmmmmmm…

Gaga for Gaga

I enjoyed Lady Gaga’s entertainment last night at Super Bowl LI (that’s “51” for the Falcons fans). Heck, I want to take her out!

Someone found something to grumble about. They think she was secretly sending hippy protest messages to the Soros Rent-A-Mobs. I honestly didn’t see it. Too busy watching her. So I looked again. Still just a short blonde beauty with an awesome voice. I’d better check her out check it out again to be sure.

And I have halted the memes for now. I lost my favorite. Deleted it or something. Anyway, the intended audience was too stunned today to notice. And it’s not nice to rub it in. Having said that, I leave you with this:

She’s not supposed to win – not by the globalist powers that be (or were). It’s much like how Trump wasn’t “supposed to” win. It’s like how no NFL team has ever come back from being down 28-3 in a Super Bowl…

On that, and totally unrelated, another meme:

nimbus-image-1486238401660

Back to France. Just like the New England Patriots, les enfants de la Patrie aren’t having it either, as it’s “supposed to be”. Le Pen is galvanizing her nation.

France’s far-right party leader Marine Le Pen on Sunday told thousands of flag-waving supporters chanting “This is our country!” that she alone could protect them against Islamic fundamentalism and globalization if elected president in May.

Buoyed by the election of President Donald Trump in the United States and by Britons’ vote to leave the European Union, Le Pen’s anti-immigration, anti-EU National Front (FN) hopes for similar populist momentum in France.

How The Patriots Won The Game of the Century

Steel. That emotional control I wrote about earlier. A steely resolve to do the impossible.

The Patriots

From the Boston Herald:

Tom Brady and the Patriots rewrote the history books and the storylines last night with their epic, 34-28 victory against the Falcons in Super Bowl LI. They trailed 28-3 midway through the third quarter before ripping off the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history. Prior to this, the Pats’ 10-point comeback two years ago against the Seahawks had set the bar.

Tom Brady completed 43 of 62 passes for 466 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, and he was 12 of 16 for 150 yards on the tying and winning drives in the fourth quarter and overtime. The five-time champion led his 51st game-winning drive in the 51st Super Bowl.

I read in the Boston or sporting press somewhere the “grading” of the team. “A” for Brady. “B” for coaching. “Cs” for the defense. I guess “B” stands for “bravo” and “Cs” stands for “Champions”.

First come-from-behind from more than 10 points win in Super Bowl history.

First Super Bowl in overtime.

Record Ninth Super Bowl appearance (seven with Brady and Coach B.).

Fifth win (all behind Brady) (NE looks to tie the Steelers record 6 next year).

Brady’s 466 passing yards – SB record.

Brady is undeniably the best quarterback in history.

First SB of the MAGA era.

Probably a bunch of other records.

The greatest performance in the greatest SB (according to someone at ESPN). I agree.

And the Pats did all of this on the heels of a year when they alone had to play one extra game, a game that lasted the whole season. They played a year-long game against the NFL itself and most of the rest of the world. And they won. The NFL, Roger Goodell, and all the rest are losers.

Goodell should resign. Today.

Brady, Coach B., and Co. showed what you do when the world is against you: turn all the hatred into resolve and beat the world down.

And they’re not done yet…

The Falcons

The Falcons aren’t done either. They had an outstanding season and played an incredible game. They dominated 3/4ths of it – they dominated the best team in history. Maybe no-one else could have done that. In the end it was not enough, though it was impressive.

I’ve read many rants about the 4th quarter disintegration. That was destiny. Sorry. But nobody is harder on themselves than Atlanta fans.

Some in Atlanta are already talking about “next year” – a familiar UGA phrase. That is the spirit. But put it off for another year. They’re saying the same thing in Boston and, there, they mean it.

Atlanta

The “meaning it” is critical. Four things are required to win football championships: a great coach, a great quarterback, a demanding, loyal owner, and an expectant, demanding fan base. Boston is a sports crazed town, best of all American cities; they have all elements across all their teams – especially in the Patriots. Fanatics doesn’t come close. Atlanta finally has the first three but not yet the fourth.

The winning psyche matters. The AJC’s Mark Bradley captured it perfectly last night (if harshly): Mark Bradley: Falcons lose the most Atlanta game ever. When you make your city’s name synonymous with losing, you have a problem.

The Falcons fan base needs to analyze 37 years of failed UGA football. “Good”, “pretty good”, “almost”, “high winning percentage”, and “next year” just don’t cut it. They have to expect excellence and demand excellence. Stop focusing on how someone else is the worst and become the best yourselves.

Boston

Take everything I just wrote about Atlanta and invert it. As President Trump Tweeted: “They’re winners.”

The Commercials/SJW Watch

I think someone at the NFL and Madison Avenue finally got the memo that Americans are tired of anti-Americanisms. The SJW nonsense was there, subtly, though it was much more muted than I had expected.

Also, I think the age of the stellar, funny, and memorable SB commercials is over.

Lady Gaga

Wow. Part of me (and others) half expected Gaga, an outspoken liberal, to politically ham up her show and continue the shenanigans from 2016. Instead she opened patriotically and put on a heck of a show. In answer to that stupid Masters question of a few years back: “Lady Gaga or Lady Antebellum?” – I’ll take Gaga.

Professional. Witty. Fun. And hot…

The Memes

Will continue:

Congratulations to the (once again) Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. Yes. Told ya so. There’s that. I originally called NE winning 31-30. 34-28 does it too. Wow. And they held back the whole first half…

nimbus-image-1486353379693

May have some thoughts tomorrow. I think we can safely call Tom Brady the greatest quarterback in history. 5. Five. 5…

For their part, the Falcons played an incredible game, a championship worthy game.

Ah, well. Memes away!

Emotional Control Wins The Super Bowl

Atlanta, football, New England, Patriots, Super Bowl

This past fall I pretty much cut football out of my life. However, on October 3rd I reserved my right “like a good hypocrite” to revisit for exceptional games. The specific example I gave was the Patriots next Super Bowl. And, today, February 5th, here we are.

New England is going to win tonight (should win). But it’s not simply due to talent. Both teams are immensely talented. It’s about emotional control. Says Tom Brady:

“You kind of have to be right on the edge. It’s such an emotional game. You don’t want to be out of control, but you can’t play with no emotion. You strike different chords for different emotions at different times.”

That might sound strange coming from a player who rarely hides his feelings on the field. Just think back to his return game in Cleveland after his four-game “Deflategate” suspension, when Brady was pumping up Patriots fans on hand during warmups.

Yet he insists Super Bowl Sunday calls for moderation in approach.

“It’s a long day,” Brady said. “I mean it’s a long day because it’s been a long week because there’s a lot of things you’re doing. You’re doing a lot more things this week than you normally do for a game week. Just to get to the game, it ends up being … a four-hour game? A longer pregame and a longer halftime, so … it ends up being 4½ to five hours.

“You’ve got to be able to have something left at the end of the game. You can’t waste it all early in the third quarter.”

A quick look back to New England’s victory over Seattle in the 2015 Super Bowl shows that Brady and the Patriots had plenty left. They rallied from a 10-point hole to win.

The Falcons are far from out of control, but NE are the base masters. They’ve been here before. They’ll be here again (probably next year).

Anyway, it looks to be a very good game.

It also, back to the reasons for abandoning the sport, looks to be an SJW-fest. Reports say everyone from Lady Gaga to Budweiser is gearing up to make some sort of idiotic anti-American political statement. If they do, and if the American fans tolerate it, then the SJW win.

Speaking of winning, I’m going to start the meme parade early:

Tomorrow night the Atlanta Falcons are going to be beaten by the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI. How badly remains to be seen. I have a meme parade on standby for Monday morning. It’s all aimed at poking fun at many of my friends and the legions of anti-Pats haters out there (97% of the world by their own memes).

That’s the fun and games. Here’s the deadly seriousness of the world:

Vox Day posted a story about an interview with a woman who was viciously assaulted at U.C. Berkeley this week.

He was referring to this interview:

nimbus-image-1486257005568

Said Vox:

Watch the video. Notice how they attack. They’re very skirmish-oriented, very hit-and-run. Effective, limited-force counters are going to require interfering with their ability to do so. Canes and staffs taking them down to the ground by application to the legs would likely be most effective for the untrained; sweeps and strikes to the knee would be the right tactic for the trained. Take them down, then have your allies drag them back away from their companions and zip-tie them.

It’s clear that they are inclined to use pepper spray, but those trying to pepper-spray can be taken out very easily, as when they extend their arm, they are vulnerable to either a) being taken down with a rotation, b) having their arm broken, or, if they’re small enough, c) thrown behind. The key is to be aware and ready for it; as soon as the arm comes out, grab with the opposite hand and pull hard.

Notice that Katrina and her husband thought they were prepared; they both were wearing kevlar vests. But defensive measures are not enough; one has to be prepared to neutralize the attackers when they attack. Always wear a belt, as it’s easy to loop it over an attacker’s neck, particularly one attacking someone else, and incapacitate them with it. In extremis, it can also be used in combination with a set of keys, or a pocket knife with a loop, as a flail.

Notice that both the pepper-spray attackers were women. These are not fearsome streetfighters, they are relying on getting in and out without being touched.

But most importantly, stop relying on the police and the media! They are not going to defend you, they are not going to take your side, and they are not going to give you a fair shake.

It occurs to me that as they rely upon anonymity, an Antifa List should be added to the SJW List so that everyone knows exactly who these people are.

These are the violent actions of the liberals who claim to love and support free speech. They love and support it so much that they must do whatever it takes to shut down the free speech of a gay man from Britain. The same liberals who invented 1,000 hate crime hoaxes after Trump was elected. The same who want to take your guns because you are so violent.

As Vox said, watch the video. Watch all of them – there are many. Another attractive blonde woman was attacked at Berkeley (Video). The same kind of thugs assaulted Richards Spencer in D.C. (Video).

Of course, in the eyes of the left, Spencer deserved it because he’s a “Nazi”. The kind of Nazi who holds rallies for his fellow black, Asian, gay, and Jewish Nazis. Maybe all the blonde women are Nazis too. They are all white. And that made me think of the sign I saw behind Spencer just before he was attacked:

nimbus-image-1485280933581

Does that really mean: “white lives don’t matter”? Or could it just be: “kill whites”? The actions of late speak louder than the words.

These idiots don’t read history. Or care about it. It was the constant attacks by violent communist thugs on innocent people that precipitated the Brownshirts in Germany. Do they want a self-fulfilling prophecy here?

Vox gives some excellent advice for self-defense from the crazed criminals. Also pay attention to what the victimized woman said about the police. They are not there to help you. They don’t care.

I’ll go a little further with the tactics. Even the best trained fighter can be blindsided. Move in groups and have spotters. And be ready at all times. Do not talk to the media or become otherwise distracted. If you can’t go armed to these events, don’t go. And if you’re there and armed, and if you are attacked, kill the bastards. Every single one of these little cretins deserves instant justice. We don’t need to wait for things to get worse (which they will). These thugs are happy as clams to get violent. So must we. They started it. Let’s finish it.

Sooner or later – probably this year (and sooner than later) – the video is coming of a decent citizen dropping one or more of the savages. You’ll see it here along with calls to repeat it until the problems are solved.

Then we go back to fun and games.
