Winter preparedness was going to be our general theme for the month of October at FP. It still is, though it’s getting pushed back a few days/weeks. We have time. And something else is brewing like a bad winter blizzard that needs attention first. Accordingly, we’re about to start a short series on all things riots, civil unrest, and civil war. You won’t want to miss it. Okay, you probably wouldn’t mind missing the war. But the series is a must. More and some links soon. P
I don’t want to jump the gun as I did when the initial, incomplete, and inaccurate video and reporting of the overdose death of George Floyd (RIP) came out. So, as to Kyle Rittenhouse, I’ve opted for the above conservative headline. I can amend it if need be. As-is, this looks like a clearcut case of self-defense and defense of civilization.
Mike Whitney wrote an excellent piece on the legal persecution at Unz:
In a video that has been widely circulated on the internet, Rittenhouse is seen running away from an angry group of protestors who trip him from behind and send him sprawling to the ground. While lying on the street, Rittenhouse quickly grabbed his assault rifle and shot an assailant who had hit him on the head with his skateboard. He then slowly rose to one knee and shot another attacker who was preparing to deliver a blow. The bloody clash scattered the other 15 or 20 potential assailants who quickly did a U-Turn and fled in the opposite direction.
As I can see it from afar, the only point of contention is the initial shooting of the first violent rioter, convicted child molester Rosenbaum (E.S.T?). Whitney alleges or states, as do others, that that shooting was also defensive in nature. There’s no doubt about the subsequent actions (also against convicted felons) as seen in the videos. If Rittenhouse illegally dispatched the pedo (irony in that, right?), then his overall legal standing might have changed. There’s probably a video of the pedo attacking and, thus, justifying his termination (again, as if any more justification is needed to rid the world of a pedo). It may be out there now and I haven’t seen it. Or, like the other Floyd videos, the Floyd autopsy report, and associated dispatch transcripts, “they” might be hiding anything that might exonerate Kyle. That is what I suspect. And, unless and until I see more, this case is as clear as a bell.
None of this would have been necessary had police and officials in Kenosha, Minneapolis, and elsewhere done their jobs and repelled the savages before they started. It’s a shame the US doesn’t have a strong president who could take time away from boasting, babbling, debt spending, moving embassies, banned firearms accessories, and swearing in a wall of incompatible newcomers to do something helpful. Kyle, on the other hand, did the world a favor. Multiple favors, in fact. For starters, he demonstrated how easy it is to disperse a violent mob. Drop the leaders and the pack flees. Tucker Carlson was right – it took a 17-year-old Zoomer to do what older men failed to do.
Sadly, or predictably, or even happily, this will spread. After Trump is re-elected, I foresee the war breaking wide open.
Let true justice prevail. Free Kyle Rittenhouse. He’ll be needed, perhaps as a defender or a leader in the future rebuilding of civilization.
Let’s get all this straight. The Confederacy failed and thereby, allegedly, the questions of secession, independence and freedom were settled once and for all. The CIA-backed lapdog media and the satanic pols, this week, tossed around descriptions like “lost cause,” “treason,” and “traitors” to describe what happened 155 years ago. Meanwhile, their useful idiots tear down every monument to and memory of the valiant South (and anything else white they can get their paws on).
But now!!! Now, it’s perfectly okay for communists, hippies, and domestic terrorists to seize part of a major city for their own drug abuse, child molestation, and looting needs. The police politely bow out of the way, the Governor is silent, and your bloated “tough guy” Orange Man tweets stupidly as usual.
Is this the way it’s going to be? Is this, like the Hoax, the new normal? And, if so, when can We declare open the Second Republic of The Confederate States of America? Think of it as a big, nation-sized peaceful protest.*
*Founders: do remember the good stuff at Shreveport and Kings Bay.
I called this one right. Antifa is a violent communist un-organization, but they mainly specialize in mischief. I doubted immediately the BS line that they were terrorists behind all the recent “George Floyd”
vibrancy protests riots 4G warfare. Now, much as with OSB and the 9/11 hoax, there is little to no evidence of their involvement.
Attorney General William Barr promised a crackdown on members of the anti-fascist movement known as antifa and other “extremists” he blamed for helping to drive the violence.
But a Reuters examination of federal court records related to the charges, social media posts by some of the suspects and interviews with defense lawyers and prosecutors found mostly disorganized acts of violence by people who have few obvious connections to antifa or other left-wing groups.
The violence in the streets, which will get MUCH worse, is the natural product of a dead country disintegrating. This is just what you get, ask Mr. Gibbons. If you really want to blame someone, then just hop over to the nearest mirror. All your decades of dodging, ducking, appeasing, ignoring, head-sanding, pontificating, and pretending has produced what those things always do. Congratulations.
It’s for the best. The rioters and heathens tore down Gen. Wickham’s statue in Richmond.
After a day and evening of peaceful protests and marches in Richmond and its suburbs, protesters using ropes pulled down a statue honoring Confederate Gen. Williams Carter Wickham, which has stood in the park since 1891.
Most of the protesters who had marched through the city Saturday night had already dispersed when the statue was taken down. After it fell, one person urinated on the statue and then ran away.
A perfectly-fitting metaphor for the fading days: piss on civilization and then run away. All those who proclaim hatred for the (better than them) Men of the West will regret it one day when their own idols crash down.
PS: would that rope around the statue’s neck count as a hate crime? Just asking.
Police here and there are kneeling with (or to?) pre-riot protesters.
Police in Fayetteville, North Carolina, made a surprising move Monday during a tense stand off with protesters seeking justice in the case of George Floyd, who died after being restrained by police in Minneapolis.
All 60-plus officers knelt before the marchers on Murchison Road.
This may be, in certain places and cases, exactly what’s needed. Though it could also carry the aura of defeat or supplication. Or, is this the NFL writ large? Interesting times.
In a time of economic collapse and general decline, hordes of idiotic, angry, wild heathens run riot through the nation’s capital. They set fire to a church. Across the street, “your” leader huddles in a bomb shelter.
Can we get Lee Greenwood to sing us a tune this fourth of July??
PS: How humorously ironic that Abradamned Lincoln’s memorial was vandalized.
For reacting to the “George Floyd” situation:
Globos / Not Americans: You’re the ones creating the situation. 8/10, BTW.
Liberals: Support the globos. Nervously watch your little enclave.
Libertarians: Smoke pot. Hand out copies of The Road To Serfdom to the rioters. (Kidding. Just smoke the dope).
Conservatives: Adjust bowtie. Mumble something incoherent about the Constitution.
Right / Nationalists: You know.
Find yourself at the wheel of an 80,000-pound truck with 2,000-foot-pounds of torque while surrounded by violent savages? Don’t get out and suffer a brick to the head. Just drive away!
The truck driver, fearing for his safety police said, sounded his horn then drove off.
Don’t forget to sound the horn.
Minnesota: From Lockdown To Burndown
Congratulations To The Class Of COVID-19
Ah, another major rewrite in the interests of providing up-to-date coverage of more current events. This column was originally drafted early, as the secondary title suggests, as a commencement address of sorts to the Corona’d Class of Twenty. I had some good wishes and advice in-store, which honestly, would have been largely ignored. (At eighteen I would not have followed most of what I wrote). Anyway, other things happened and are still unfolding. I’ll hold the graduation thoughts for another time, minus a few cogent points, below, and this: Congratulations, kids! We’re proud of you.
You might have heard about some unpleasantness in the Twin Cities and that such was spreading into other areas and states. Let’s discuss that with a little background:
