Did you hear the one about the tiger at the prom? It’s not a joke:

Students at a private Catholic school in Miami will remember their wild prom night for the caged tiger.

The big cat was among a menagerie of exotic animals brought to amuse Christopher Columbus High School students at Friday night’s jungle-themed dance, but it had the opposite effect, according local reports.

Maria-Cris Castellanos, whose brother reportedly attends the elite school, decried the stunt as animal abuse, WTVJ-TV in Miami reported. She took her outrage online with footage of the stressed-out tiger pacing in its cramped cage amid pounding music, flashing lights and a performer juggling fire.

“How shameful for Christopher Columbus High school,” Castellanos wrote in a Facebook post, blaming staff at the all-boys school for the stunt.

I have no idea whether the tiger felt abused in this situation – I leaning towards it being torture. Then again, maybe I’m projecting how I’d feel about being dragged to a modern prom, caged or otherwise.

There is abuse in education though, unequivocal abuse.

At first glance, I thought the associated “Florida school” headline referred to a government school. It doesn’t. Christopher Columbus is a private, Catholic academy and, according to Wikipedia, one of the top 50 such schools in the country. They also rate rather well on Great Schools, with an average four out of five stars.

CC does not appear in the latest high school rankings from US News and World Report. Many private schools, and more than a few smaller, public institutions, failed to make the listings. The ones that did make it serve as confirmation of recent findings of the failure and fraud in our schools. A snapshot of a randomly selected high school:

nimbus-image-1526321275172

USN.

The same school boasts an 83% graduation rate. That despite the ultra-low percentages in math and reading proficiency and in college readiness. That’s abuse.

Take a look at those rankings. Search out your particular school of concern. And concerns you should have. If a school isn’t in the top ten percent in the state, there’s probably a problem.

I wonder if the tiger pitied the students?

65,000 reasons to shun those dating apps:

What started as a potential relationship on a dating site ended in a stalking nightmare for one Paradise Valley man.

PV police say the victim met 31-year-old Jacqueline Claire Ades of Phoenix online and went on a date with her.

But things quickly went awry.

After that date, police say Ades began texting the man constantly, sending him more than 65,000 text messages. The victim told police sometimes she would send up to 500 texts a day.

Police say some of those messages were threatening. …

Only some were threatening. Maybe like 46,000. A misunderstanding, most likely – a true tribute to the dedication of Cupid…

The butcher knife makes it 65,001 reasons.

America, society, the left, violence

The other day Rep. Mo Brooks was predicting more leftist violence.

Today, in the weekly roundup, Taki’s Mag provides a little more evidence Mo may be on to something: the ravings of a hefty California public employee, name of Randa Jarrar:

[Some banal vulgarity and general whitey hating]….I don’t give a fuck. I’m buying guns….I’m going to do some stupid shit. I’m tired of being the bigger person….I’m also just tired of the left being stupid….Why is [Richard] Spencer’s house still standing? I don’t understand. Like, it needs to be fucking broken into. People need to fucking throw grenades into it. I don’t give a fuck.

DO. NOT. WORRY. She still has her tenured job teaching donut eating or something. No investigation. No intervention. She’s diverse and therefore free to spread the same idiotic, violent threats that the left complained about not being investigated just before the Parkland shooting. Actually, they do a lot of the same stuff they complain about.

In their defense, they are a depressed lot. Many are still not over the collapse of the Soviet Union. Now, with North Korea poised to fall, they may become unhinged. Get them some lithium or something before they do start throwing grenades. #grenadecontrol?

Walter Williams on the Fraud of American Education

America, education, failure, IQ, schools, society, students, Walter Williams

“Fraud” is the right word. The right “F” word, even more than “failed” or that other one.

The results from the 2017 National Assessment of Educational Progress,  America’s “Report Card,” are staggering:

It’s not a pretty story. Only 37 percent of 12th-graders tested proficient or better in reading, and only 25 percent did so in math. Among black students, only 17 percent tested proficient or better in reading, and just 7 percent reached at least a proficient level in math.

The atrocious NAEP performance is only a fraction of the bad news. Nationally, our high school graduation rate is over 80 percent. That means high school diplomas, which attest that these students can read and compute at a 12th-grade level, are conferred when 63 percent are not proficient in reading and 75 percent are not proficient in math. For blacks, the news is worse. Roughly 75 percent of black students received high school diplomas attesting that they could read and compute at the 12th-grade level. However, 83 percent could not read at that level, and 93 percent could not do math at that level. It’s grossly dishonest for the education establishment and politicians to boast about unprecedented graduation rates when the high school diplomas, for the most part, do not represent academic achievement. At best, they certify attendance.

Summarized in a sentence: Two-thirds of American high school graduates are functionally illiterate. This should shock and dismay more than just the writing set.

The people almost seem okay with this. It’s like another great George Carlin skit:

Carlin/YouTube.

America’s national average IQ is falling decade by decade. This even as the children suffer more and more “education.” Some, like Georgia’s potential next Governor, Stacey Abrams (a great fiction writer, BTW), want universal, “free” college for everyone. What’s the point. Why go to college or even to high school if the result is a majority that can’t read or do basic math?

Various peoples of the older world had less formal education but were on average smarter than modern Americans. Such was the case in Victorian England. The verbosity and concomitant popularity of Varney the Vampire bears this out: what would be a “difficult” read by today’s low standards was immensely popular with the street urchin, drop-out boys and young men on the streets of 19th century London. Why? How?

It’s not definitively provable but it is suspected that the average IQ in Plato’s Athens was around 125 (SB or Wechsler) – 2 standard deviations above America’s average today (maybe three above tomorrow…). That was the average, with half being even higher. How many standardized tests were those kids back then subjected to? None, likely.

And as our system continues to fail and to fail more spectacularly, the only answer from the establishment is more and more of the same.

We’ll get more of the same on all fronts. More fraud. More failure. Look for it in next year’s report card.

Amazing Amerikan Woman Tries to Change World, Fails Horribly

Horribly. Miserably. This story is beyond sad; simply horrifying:

How this Midwestern mom ended up married to an ISIS sniper

Yahoo! ran a representative picture right up front (but don’t be fooled):

dc12fd5285e6d58aec4f634a0cc09952

A pretty good, almost Madison Avenue worthy start, but … read on:

Samantha Sally spoke to CNN about how her “romantic” second marriage to Moroccan-born husband Moussa Elhassani resulted in an unexpected move to Syria in 2014. Once there, Elhassani became violent and joined ISIS as a sniper.

“Before he would spoil me,” the 32-year-old American said. “We were very much in love. The romance never left. As soon as we came here, it changed. I was a dog. I didn’t have any choice. He was extremely violent. And there was nothing I could do about it. Nothing.”

…

The family ended up settling in Raqqa, Syria, where Sally gave birth to two more children. In addition to Elhassani’s violent behavior, she was subjected to abuse from ISIS leaders, including a three-month stretch in jail while she was pregnant. Sally says that she was tortured, sexually abused, and put in solitary confinement while being accused of espionage on behalf of the U.S.

Their home life eventually included the purchase of three Yazidi slaves — two teenage females and one young boy — captured by ISIS. Both girls were raped by Elhassani, though Sally defends having them stay in her home.

“No one will ever know what it is like to watch their husband rape a 14-year-old girl,” she said. “Ever. And then she comes to you — me — after crying and I hold her and tell her it’s going to be OK. Everything is going to be fine, just be patient.

“I would never apologize for bringing those girls to my house,” she added. “They had me and I had them. And we knew that if we were just patient, we would stick together. You understand? In any other situation, they would be locked in a bedroom and fed tea every day. And the situation I was in with them, we cooked together, we cleaned together. Drank coffee together. Slept in the same room together. I was like their mother.”

Her eldest son, Matthew, was also taken advantage of and was made to appear in videos on behalf of the terrorist group. Sally’s objection to his participation resulted in a beating and two broken ribs.

Things changed when Elhassani was killed in a drone strike in 2017. Sally and her family eventually left Raqqa and were detained soon after. They remain in custody and wait for U.S. officials determine whether her affiliation with ISIS merits jail time.

Sally, meanwhile, is hopeful that she and her four children are able to return to the U.S.

“I will do anything to get my kids back where they belong,” she said. “If I have to spend 15 years in prison, it’s better than anything here.

“Me and my kids, we talk about wanting to eat McDonald’s,” she continued. “We want to live a normal life again.”

So. Did you catch it? This was one of the most vile, racist reads I’ve seen since I don’t know when. It’s like David Duke, Robert E. Lee, and Richard Spencer conspired to write an evil, dystopian fictional plot. But, sadly, this one is all too real.

I’ll never, for the life of me, understand women like this. Living with the slanderous allegations of being a “terrorist” and of “treason” do not justify her. The insult and shame of being expected to apologize for her savage “husband’s” illicit amorous affairs is not an excuse. Nor was seeing her cockroach “husband” squashed like what he was. No excuses. None.

After experiencing the very best of diversity, an immersion class if you will – the tribal war, idiotic violence, slavery, abuse, child rapes, broken ribs, traitorous behavior, etc. – this bigot had the audacity to contrast the great good of the barbarous stone-age world with “normal life” back in America. Normal. Life. In America…

How can she shun the very cultural enrichment which will surely save Western Civilization by destroying it? It boggles the mind.

She even thinks 15 years in American prison is “better than anything [in the land of greatest pride, strength, and human dignity].”

Leave her in jail where she is. That’s where she belongs. The kids can come back. Maybe they can share with the deplorables all the good lessons they learned living among our betters. Maybe.

Dear Gawd, think of the children.

Seven students at a Maryland elementary school attacked themselves or each other with assault pencil sharpeners.

Seven students at an elementary school in Prince George’s County cut their wrists at school using blades from pencil sharpeners, according to officials.

Officials with Prince George’s County Public Schools said a concerned parent at William Paca Elementary School in Hyattsville came forward on March 29 and an investigation was launched.

It was revealed that the students used blades out of pencil sharpeners to cut themselves, officials stated.

All seven students were seen by the school nurse and none of the children were taken to the hospital, according to officials. School counselors were brought in to speak with the students.

Stop the madness! No civilian needs a high capacity pencil sharpener. Come to think of it, no civilian needs a pencil. Police and military. Young Hogg. Crying. Scary. I blame the… CNN, School Shooting™.

The news gets worse:

A “man,” practically a child at 38, was arrested for stalking Taylor Swift with a knife and rope:

Meanwhile, police obtained a temporary restraining order preventing Sandrock from possessing guns.

According to the document, Sandrock was wearing a mask and rubber gloves when he was taken into custody and told police he had driven from his home in Broomfield, Colorado, to see Swift.

Sandrock told officers he owned three handguns and was on probation in Colorado for firing one, police said.

A search of his car turned up a knife, rope, ammunition and more masks and gloves, according to the restraining order.

Prescription medications, including oxycodone, were also found and Sandrock told arresting officers that he had depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and manic episodes, according to the document.

The arrest followed the April 8 arrest of a homeless man on suspicion of trespassing after he tried to climb a wall at the same property and ignored warnings by security guards to leave.

Swift was not at the home.

Banned from possessing guns but NOT pencil sharpeners…

Swift, one notes, is a mere child herself – likely not much older those those tots in MD.

America, Christianity, culture, firearms, GTFO!, gun control, hate, NFL, normal, society, The West, women

They still call this country-shaped place “America” though the shenanigans sometimes cause doubt.

Take the NFL (please!). The F is supposed to stand for “football.” Once upon a time that was a manly American sport. The post-American NFL seems to shun all things: manly, American, decent, normal, noncriminal, and free. Oh, they also shun Christian virgins too.

A former Miami Dolphins cheerleader claims that she was discriminated against by the team and the NFL for talking about her Christian faith — and mocked after she admitted that she was a virgin.

Kristan Ann Ware, who cheered on the Dolphins for three years, charged in a complaint filed with the Florida Commission on Human Relations that the workplace turned hostile after she told some of her fellow cheerleaders that she was waiting until she was married to have sex.

It got even worse, Ware charged, when she posted an image of her baptism along with a Bible verse on social media.

“Let’s talk about your virginity,” cheerleader director Dorie Grogan allegedly said when Ware arrived for an interview for returning dancers in April 2016, according to the complaint. “As far as we are concerned you have taken something that was once upon a time pure and beautiful and you’ve made it dirty.”

Ware, who is no longer with the Dolphins, is now seeking arbitration from the Florida commission and a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. She said female cheerleaders should be allowed to express their faith publicly the way the male players do.

Even if she misses the job she must look much better without those gaudy anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Western rags. Getty/CBS.

According to the Dolphins, stating the fact of one’s virginity makes it dirty? Really? Was it that, or the Baptism, or both? I’m sure that had Ware identified as a gun controlling, Hindu, Hobbit, non-binary, sodomite, she would have received some sort of award. “Three cheers for our new captain!” Any arbitrator worth his salt will order Badell, Kraft, Peter King, the freaks, and the thugs on the first boat out. And why haven’t we heard from the DOJ Office on Violence Against Women, the UN Commission on Human Rights, the NOW gang, and the #metoo brigade? Odd.

Those Americans, over forty, proud, and sane, might also find it odd that assorted lowlifes willfully attack another beautiful young woman for expressing her faith and pride in the Second Amendment.

A University of Tennessee Chattanooga senior’s graduation photo has generated controversy on social media. In the photo, Brenna Spencer is seen wearing a bright pink “Women for Trump” T-shirt with white jeans. A black handgun is tucked into her waistband.

Spencer shared the photo on Twitter Saturday and captioned the post: “I don’t take normal college graduation photos.”

I, for one, haven’t the faintest idea what’s controversial about any of this, except that I also don’t see anything about the photo as abnormal. Oh, wait. We’re in post-America now… Some non-Americans chimed in. I bet that had the shirt been a “F*ck Trump!” model they might have been more accepting. Anyway, their drivel:

@DadForChange:
Using a gun to make a political point is irresponsible gun ownership.

@Jasminleroy1:
Hmm..heres a question, what point are you trying to make by sticking a gun in your pants, I would think you want to irritate others and enhance your political point.. Are you going to use the gun( because that’s why they were made). I’m sorry but I’m confused by your ignorance.

@Eldergothfather:
If you had chosen to brandish your most valuable asset we’d be looking at your brain, we’d be seeing you accomplish something for humanity. Instead you chose a an extension which you think makes you who you are. It does not.

@keithboykin:
I don’t know anything about Brenna Spencer and don’t care if she wears a “Women for Trump” t-shirt while strapped with a gun. What bothers me is the reflexive racism that allows people to see Spencer as a “patriot” but to see an armed black woman or man as a criminal threat.

I’m not sure if the lovely Ms. Spencer or her followers wasted time replying to these wastes of oxygen. I happen to have a few seconds to spare, so:

Dad: There’s a lot of exciting change in North Korea, Sudan, Iran, etc. Why not go be happy somewhere else?

Jasmine: You’re confused and irritated but something stinks, little flower, and I think it’s you.

Goth Boy: I’m sure her pistol has done more for humanity than all the black-clad, sad-face freaks in all of history. And certainly more than yours.

Keith (kudos for using what seems like a real name): It’s not 1850 anymore. No one cares. Maybe, as he heads to his own greener pasture, Dad could drop you off in Mugabe Land or somewhere.

All: Great! As the NFL hates Christians, so you hate free, armed, attractive young women. Got it. I note that, the First Amendment being a relic of the 18th Century, you have absolutely no right to express your opinions like this. Kindly cease and desist. Furthermore: Go to Hell!

nimbus-image-1523656962985

I find this normal and more than a little alluring. Watch out, Dana Loesch! Twitter.

If this “highly respected web log” hadn’t blown the budget on cigars and hydrazine, then I would heartily offer these young ladies employment here. As is, I offer them the most sincere respect for being who they are. I accept them. If you can’t, if you can’t abide beautiful women, American, Christian, and free, then you are worse than a bigot. Literally worse than Hitler. Knock it off.

IQ and DNA, The Genetic Link

It’s funny almost. There are so many ways to look at the following story from MIT Tech Review. The average IQ of a group or society is kind of important. It kind of bears on how well, how advanced than group or society does or becomes. The “G” factor and all else is as natural, atavistic, and genetic as any physical marker. People have known (or suspected) this forever. Now it’s hard science:

For decades genetic researchers have sought the hereditary factors behind intelligence, with little luck. But now gene studies have finally gotten big enough—and hence powerful enough—to zero in on genetic differences linked to IQ.

A year ago, no gene had ever been tied to performance on an IQ test. Since then, more than 500 have, thanks to gene studies involving more than 200,000 test takers. Results from an experiment correlating one million people’s DNA with their academic success are due at any time.

The discoveries mean we can now read the DNA of a young child and get a notion of how intelligent he or she will be, says Plomin, an American based at King’s College London, where he leads a long-term study of 13,000 pairs of British twins.

Plomin outlined the DNA IQ test scenario in January in a paper titled “The New Genetics of Intelligence,” making a case that parents will use direct-to-consumer tests to predict kids’ mental abilities and make schooling choices, a concept he calls precision education.

As of now, the predictions are not highly accurate. The DNA variations that have been linked to test scores explain less than 10 percent of the intelligence differences between the people of European ancestry who’ve been studied.

Okay, it’s a hardening science. DNA is still relatively new as a measurement subject, a novelty we’re still grappling with. The DNA-IQ link is brand, spanking new, subject to bugs. But those will be worked out – for better or for worse.

Current inaccuracy aside, some have legitimate concerns about the new testing:

Several educators contacted by MIT Technology Review reacted with alarm to the new developments, saying DNA tests should not be used to evaluate children’s academic prospects.

“The idea is we’ll have this information everywhere you go, like an RFID tag. Everyone will know who you are, what you are about. To me that is really scary,” says Catherine Bliss, a sociologist at the University of California, San Francisco, and author of a book questioning the use of genetics in social science.

“A world where people are slotted according to their inborn ability—well, that is Gattaca,” says Bliss. “That is eugenics.”

Several of my buzz words were hit upon right there.

The above-cited funniness comes from the cultural ramifications. Most people, centered up in that great parabolic shape, just don’t care about this stuff. Smarter people on the right … uh … maybe aren’t that smart. And they may suffer from spinal deformities. It’s some on the left who give us the delightful humor.

Some – not all – on the left claim to love science, logic, and reason. That is, they love it until the science interrupts the narrative. We are not, it seems, all the same. One can almost see this just by looking. The lust for scientific truth ends when it suggests as much as the eyes sometimes do. DNA says a lot. Some don’t want it heard. It’s like they don’t appreciate free speech. Turns out they don’t.

You surely recall The Bell Curve by Charles Murray. Murray was ahead of his time, a generation earlier than the new tests. His work examined the means and ends of IQ differences. Some rejected his findings and opinions. Murray tries to speak to college audiences only to be shouted down and run off by militant leftists. What, exactly, happened to the Spirit of Berkeley?

I happen to share the deep, genuine concerns about eugenics. I have no idea whether Catherine Bliss fits the bill but many on the left, while decrying potential eugenics in some areas of social order, happily support actual eugenics in other areas. Margaret Sanger’s ideas and procedures came from somewhere.

Anyway, for now this science is developing. I would not recommend running to any new site for testing, for you or your children. I smell snake oil from these start-ups. Too soon. But it will evolve. If you’re curious, then make sure to cross-reference the DNA results with a reliable, full battery from an established source (Stanford Binet or Wechsler).

Even the older, normed assessments are not fool-proof. Remember that, whatever score one gets, it is a general indicator. It measures raw ability and potential. It’s a good overall estimate but: *Actual performance may vary.* Exceptions may be found anywhere in the curve. Oddities manifest oddly at both ends.

Whether DNA or test-based, the exceptions, oddities, and generality should dictate a little caution. Persons, high, low, and average, should be left free to attempt fulfillment of and to the best of their abilities. The potential problem, within and without eugenic concern, is the potential mandating of class or tenure based upon initial scoring. That kind of central planning is one of the unproductive hallmarks of some on the left. Funny?

**This ramble has been brought to you by the letters, D, N, and A, and by the number 4.

Marching Mob Madness

They came to the National Mall by the hundreds of thousands. Kids more accustomed to the mall where the Hollister and Aeropostale stores are, descended on the Yankee Capital to make their voices heard. They brought many of the usual suspects with them. They chanted, ranted, held aloft signs, and expressed their First Amendment rights – in this case, about denying you your Second Amendment rights.

Look at all the concern:

AP.

Read those signs (the ones right side up):

4A81F8C000000578-5539363-image-a-74_1521899738512

Drudge.

“USA not NRA!” was the rally cry.

“[H]ear the people in power shaking,” said the talented, photogenic Young Hogg.

The people in power are actually laughing. The dream of the tyrants the past 6,000 years or so has been to disarm the people thus making them easier to control. Here, we see a mass representation of a few generations – all clamoring to be made helpless before whatever those in power have in mind.

Some of them say they want a discussion about guns in America. They do not. They want to scream and yell about their narrow, inaccurate portrayal of the one side while completely ignoring the other, demonizing it even. You really can’t have a discussion with a mob anyway.

If you could, then you could point out the statistics, the science, the history, and the truth. None of which would interest this crowd. “Tantrum” comes to mind.

They’re not even coherent in their demands for their own special rights (made while demanding you lose yours). The other day, Young Hogg, acting as the agent for the mob, told the sad tale of the first day back at Parkland High. Officials searched book bags. Hogg and other students were incensed.

You see, Hogg, you and your crowd are screaming about guns being bad, especially at schools. Guns, hand guns at least, can easily be concealed in book bags. So concealed they can be toted into schools. The searches were probably geared towards preventing that and in effect giving you part of what you demanded. Be careful what you wish for.

He said it was a violation of the kids’ First Amendment rights. (They claim to be very big on that). Not sure how that works out, Constitutionally speaking. Maybe the backpacks sport logos the kids wish to express: Nike, Pink, The Packers, etc. Freedom of speech, of expression! An NRA pack would likely not qualify.

It could be that those carrying the packs on their back do so as part of their peaceful assembly. Freedom of assembly! Certain Middle Easterners might extol the virtues of the bags for purposes of carrying the instruments of Jihad. Freedom of religion? That might play up the need for the searches though.

I think he was confused about his amendments. Number Four was the one violated. Of course, that’s an even number, like the Second. And that one is bad. A celebrity or someone from Soros’s outfit must have told Hogg so.

Here’s a picture of Hogg at the March for Madness:

27e418e0-11ca-4aed-abfa-a3f5216bf06e

Vox Day.

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subjugated races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subjugated races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police.”

–David Hogg Adolf Hitler

I’ve been referring to this affair as a “March for Marx.” I might continue to do so because it works rhetorically and sounds good. Factually, it’s a grey area. Marx, in 1848, was clamoring against gun control and actually spoke of actively arming the people. Of course, the guns would have been government property as there was to be NO private property. Mixed bag.

But that was a theory untested at that early time. When the bullet met the chamber, under men like Hitler, Mao, and Stalin, it turns out that in fact communists (leaders) do not want people armed. It was something about armed people being harder to rob, subjugate, herd into box cars, and slaughter. Or something.

Oops. Sorry to present the wrong part of that “discussion” and a part the mob seems utterly resistant to.

They, some of them, claim they want a mental health database for gun purchases, ownership, and carry. Yes, like laws against murder and disrupting schools (and unwarranted searches of back packs), we already have that. Like most laws it works so well.

I wonder… Would Hogg and his crew want prerequisite mental health checks for all things weaponry? If so, would they like to start with brain scans – MRI’s, etc. – aimed at say, the Amygdala? You know, looking for deformation, shrinkage, abnormality? Such a program might make it impossible for emotional basket cases who March for Marx to obtain firearms.

Oops. There I go again.

The honest kids are right to be concerned about violence. One innocent life lost to guns or anything else is one too many. But, by order of magnitude, should not they perhaps focus first on the heavier causes? There are many of those and most, that I am aware of, tend not to be useful in fighting tyranny. Search whatever record you like and I’m confident you’ll find nothing from Hitler, Lenin, Pot, or any other thug railing against cars, sugar, or doctors. I could be wrong but I think not.

Oh, heck. Started again…

Okay, I’ll just wrap this one up with another, fitting quote, one that sums up this Saturday scene perfectly. From Tiberius, via Tacitus: “Nisti Servitus!” You?

Perhaps inspired by the recent student walkouts for gun control, the March for Marx, some California students are trying to organize a similar protest for a far deadlier cause:

This week, Rocklin High School students are using social media to organize a pro-life walkout using the hashtag #life.

“To honor all the lives of aborted babies pretty much. All the millions of aborted babies every year,” said organizer Brandon Gillespie.

He says his history teacher inspired the idea.

As thousands of students across the country walked out of class demanding strict gun laws, in honor of the Parkland shooting victims, Benzel was placed on paid administrative leave when she asked students to consider whether there’s a double standard in the national school walkout.

“I would like a conversation about when is too much? And are we going allow this on the other side?” said Julianne Benzel

The principal at Rocklin High declined to meet with us for an on-camera interview, but a district spokeswoman tells us, he does plan to sit down with the student about the possible abortion walkout, and that’s not going over well with some of his peers.

“Abortions aren’t really anything that has to do with school or students here,” said Naeirika Neev.

Neev is the editor of the school newspaper. In her posts, she’s using the hashtag “enough is enough” to promote peace, and take a stance against anything anti-abortion on campus.

“They have their First Amendment, they can go protest about that anytime anywhere,” she said.

But Brandon says protesting on school grounds is just the point.

“I would like to see if there really is a double standard and what will come of that,” he said.

He doesn’t have a date for the protest, but he does with the principal. Their meeting is set for this Friday.

This story has just about everything:

A teacher suspended for daring to question the narrative;

A budding SJW student-editor: Our First Amendment, here and now, for our causes –  your’s somewhere else. What-ev...; and

A few students actually concerned about real mass violence against their class.

Look for major, massive coverage of this protest from the major media. Hold your breath.

A Breakdown of the numbers:

In 2014, the last year for which statistics were easily available (from Wikipedia), there were a grand total of … 17 American children (possibly a few adults, we’ll call them all children) murdered (killed, we’ll call them all murders) by shootings in schools. In the same year 652,639 American children were murdered in “legal” abortion clinics.

17 dead is way too many. One is too many. 652,639 is way, way, way too many.*

By recent historic norms both numbers were slightly lower than the average. For example: this year, 2018, there have already been 26 children (again, calling them all children) murdered in school shootings (17 in Parkland, FL). So, expanding that to the whole year, we’re tracking about 104 for 2018. No word on 2018 abortions but they should be around the 600,000-700,000 mark. Both sets have been declining steadily since the 1990’s.

A little math, not magic, tells us that, in 2014, American children were 38,390 times more likely to be killed, murdered by abortion “providers” than by school shooters. (652,639 / 17 = 38,390). They were also more likely to be killed by cars, lightening, water, and foods.

The statistical variance isn’t limited to the young either. During 2014 all Americans were about 80 times more likely to die from abortion murder than firearms murder.

The obvious way to save the most lives is to ban guns?

Young Neev is kind of right. The issue has nothing to do with those students currently at the school – because all of them survived the abortion epidemic. I suspect she might deem aborted children mere lumps of tissue or some such. That is, in a way, an adequate description of all humans, in the womb, in schools, in California, and elsewhere.

The fact that she would shirk all responsibility for safeguarding other, less fortunate members of her cohort and those immediately past and future, speaks to the failings of her education, mathematical and moral. She’s young, impressionable, and probably misdirected. Her lack can easily be forgiven. That of her teachers, administrators, political leaders, etc. cannot. They should know better. Anyone with a calculator should know better.

**Maybe there’s a grant or two in that $1.3 Trillion mess from Congress to buy calculators for the media, politicians, etc.**

Then again, when it comes to these two issues, the truth isn’t popular. Telling the truth about abortions hurts the Sanger-Rudin narrative and system of controlling the “undesirables” – literally Nazi style. Telling the truth about firearms usage hurts the Marxist narrative and system of controlling the rest – literally Soviet style.

I hope these young Californians do walk out. Maybe it will help others wake up.

A real epidemic, regressing to the mean. Bloomberg/CNN.

*The 17, as bad as they are, are offset by the 1 million or so lives saved by firearms that year (each year) in the US. I am unaware of any lives saved by abortion (likely has to be a few, but only a few).
