"racist", math, slavery, terminal decline

Multiculturalism ain’t it. 2 + 2 = 5. It always has, unless you want it to equal 3. Or 1619. Or whatever. The civilization-challenged declared war on mathematics (again).

In a February 2021 bulletin sent out by the Oregon Department of Education, just below a feature on Black History Month, is a notice announcing a “micro-course” for educators titled “A Pathway to Math Equity.” The course promises to provide educators with “key tools for engagement [and] strategies to improve equitable outcomes for Black, Latinx, and multilingual students” and knowledge on how to “dismantle racism in mathematics instruction.”

One might well ask, how can math—which more than any other subject deals in the realm of pure logic—possibly be racist? The “toolkit” provided as a resource for the first course session is happy to answer this question.

“We see white supremacy culture show up in the mathematics classroom even as we carry out our professional responsibilities” explains the guide. Educators must therefore take on the responsibility for “visibilizing the toxic characteristics of white supremacy culture with respect to math.”

I have a novel idea to help these perpetual malcontents avoid White supremacy culture, but it would be called racist. Everything is racist.

If by now, you haven’t figured out that institutional education in the USSA is dead, then you are the problem. And, if I can call your attention away from “visibilizing” for a moment, the incompatibles have one equation they don’t mind solving – reparations.

U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas is renewing a 30-year congressional push to establish a commission that would study the impact of slavery and possible reparations for African Americans.

Rep. John Conyers, a Democrat from Michigan, started the effort with House Resolution 40 in 1989 but garnered little support. This year, the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act has 162 co-sponsors. At the end of the last Congress, the bill had 173 co-sponsors.

The bill would form a commission to study slavery and the racial and economic discrimination that continued after slavery and to recommend solutions to Congress. It was named H.R. 40 after a promise Congress made to formerly enslaved people at the end of the Civil War — that they would receive “40 acres and a mule.”

40 acres (elsewhere) and a mule it is! No, seriously, it would be racist to add up any numbers, just ask the idiots in Oregon. A little – and I hate to go all White supremacist toxic visibilizing, but – math reveals that we already pay reparations. We have paid. We will continue to pay until we either intelligently and amicably part ways or else kick off a party to make the horrors of 1861-65 look tame and weak by comparison. 173 (morons) + 40 (delayed acres) x 384,109 (lifetime transfer dollars) = 81,816,217 (a reasonable casualty tally). See, there is a right answer.

Biden’s chances of winning, so says a math guy.

According to Dr. Cicchetti, his calculations show the probability of Joe Biden winning the popular vote in the four states independently given President Trump’s early lead in those States as of 3 a.m. on November 4, 2020, is less than one in a quadrillion.

Dr. Cicchetti’s analysis calculates that for Joe Biden to win all four states collectively, the odds of that event happening decrease to less than one in a quadrillion to the fourth power.

Raising to the fourth power makes it even more remote, not that the “no evidence” crowd would understand.

They’re getting nervous with the 2020 total deaths count looming larger week by week. The estimate already looks very bad for the hoax. Thus, they sling “studies” at the wall.

Deaths directly or indirectly attributable to the first wave of Covid-19 infections across 21 wealthy nations earlier this year exceeded government tallies by 20 percent on average, according to a study published Wednesday.

Looking at the period from mid-February through May 2020, researchers reported 206,000 more deaths than would have been expected without the pandemic.

But only 167,148 were officially traced to the coronavirus that has swept the globe since the start of the year, infecting tens of millions.

Many of the roughly 40,000 unaccounted-for deaths were due to Covid-19 but not listed as such, especially early in the pandemic when overwhelmed hospitals in some nations were unable to systematically test patients.

Blah, blah, blah. Total deaths from all causes will drop, at least in the US, from 2019 to 2020. When that happens (next year), look for a new “study” from the CDC that says that many people still alive are really dead – from COVID, of course. And, who knows? Maybe by then, they can manage to isolate s specimen and develop a test for the virus, literally based on the virus and not a randomized series of guesses. Next, look for the cessation in all future total death reports. Reporting causes of death = Russian white supremacy!

Correct for the CDC’s usual death figure inflation.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has forecast 233,000 COVID-19 deaths by the end of this month with up to 6,800 new fatalities in the last week of October alone.

In a report on its website the CDC writes: ‘This week’s national ensemble forecast indicates an uncertain trend in new COVID-19 deaths reported over the next four weeks and predicts that 2,800 to 6,800 new deaths will likely be reported during the week ending October 31, 2020.

140 to 340 people who were already dying might die by 10/31. And by then, maybe the CDC will have isolated a sample? If not, then just multiple by 0.

More hidden admissions from the CDC: Uh-Oh.

Ann Barnhardt really can’t be praised enough for catching this:

Do you see what I see? Again, this includes all the Stage 4 cancers, strokes, kidney failures and accident victims who were suspected of corona. Now allow me to convert those “official” mortality rates into survival rates, to make it easier to understand and share, and judge for yourself if everything, especially everything related to young people, should continue to be cancelled, or, NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.

0-19 years old: 99.997% survival
20-49 years old: 99.98% survival
50-69 years old: 99.5% survival
70+ years old: 94.6% survival

And again, the real numbers are even 4x-5x better than these. Never mind that half the people over 70 who died were probably murdered in nursing homes.

Get the word out, folks. Time to end this.

At the rate these numbers keep falling, by the time next year when they lie that Mars is attacking, “Coronavirus” will probably be credited with saving lives.

Y’all Been Had (Again)

-THE National Affairs Column-

For months, from the very beginning, I’ve described the COVID-19 hype and hysteria as “a ridiculous, low-effort hoax.” I’ve caught a certain amount of flack for this declaration, mainly from people who either put faith in liars or who are unfamiliar with the definition of the word “hoax.”

Absolutely nothing about this idiotic pandemic nonsense has added up. That goes double, triple, or a hundred-fold for the deaths. First, the scare-mongers warned of 2 – 2.5 million deaths (by about now, if memory serves). Then, they lowered the estimate to the hundreds of thousands. They ignored that most people appear to tolerate the Corona bug as well as they do any other common cold, maybe better. They shifted to the cumulative case count instead of deaths. And, as of this past weekend, they tallied 183,141 total deaths. That number, like just about everything else they’ve said, is an outrageous lie.

The real number of deaths, per the CDC(!) as of August 26, 2020, is … 9,683. That’s how many people have died FROM COVID-19 in the US in 2020. That means the scare tactic figures are off by a factor of twenty. The real numbers lurk in the (quietly reported) data sets. This is from the same government agency that, in May, reported that those stupid masks do not work. Still, the mantra is: wear the mask(!), and fear all the (fictitious) deaths.

The grossly-exaggerated death numbers are not pure fiction. Instead, they come from all those people who died WITH Corona. Most of the others had comorbid conditions. In other words, they were dying from something else anyway and just happened to also test positive for the WuFlu. Most were older people. The average age of a “Corona death” is 78, which conveniently happens to the average age of death in general.

Here, with all the lies compounding, the CDC and their allies must be given the Devil’s due of competence. The tests are, let’s say, a little less than accurate. Motor oil has, for instance, tested positive. Some might ask if Corona even exists. Let’s assume it does and that it is next to harmless as a pathogen.

We have, rounding up, 10,000 deaths out of 6,000,000 cases in the US. That yields a rate of death, per infection, of .00167%. Out of a rounded total population of 330,000,000, one finds a risk-of-death rate of .00003%. That is, statistically speaking, slightly more dangerous than bee stings and lightning strikes. But, in context, it’s only a quarter of the number killed by cars every year. And, it, in total, only amounts to three days worth of abortion deaths. Annualizing (up) to 20,000 deaths, the total is only one-eighth the total from falls and other accidents. It’s a third of the yearly total from accidental poisonings.

Can any of you reading this, imagine, for even a second, ending the economy and altering all life on earth over bee stings or bathtub falls? No. Yet, it has been done and it has been pitifully accepted by the masses in what may be the largest and most stunningly successful hoax in history.

It is a lie and a deception. All of it. From the beginning and planned.

Why? How many times must I go over the motivations? At first, I assumed this was just a cover-up for the pre-existing collapse of the economy. That has happened. I sensed the coming of the civil war (what it is). That, too, is in progress. The other cause virulentis is control – of everything.

With a plausibly, statistically insignificant illness, the usual suspects have rendered nearly the entire population into slaves and prisoners. Worse, they have conditioned the people to go along with damned-near anything. And, what’s next? Kindly take off your blinders and use your imaginations. They’re not hiding the agenda.

Take off the blinders and take off those masks! They do nothing and you don’t need them anyway. For the love of all that is good, stop bowing to people who hate you and want you dead. You have been had again. Next time might be the final time.

China, health, math, pandemic?, rats, virus

This virus, which the Chinese is rapidly spreading, is still statistically insignificant. In Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak, only .00011% of the people are infected (add more zeros for the national perspective). Only .00029% are severe cases. And only .000003% have died. Math.

Also, a happy first day of the Year of the Rat to the Chinese! At least they get to rotate critters every year. For those who have been to Washington, we know the US has the rat every year.

horizon, J.R.R. Tolkien, line of sight, math

This is one of the drafts that has just sat around for years, even surviving the rapid draft purge of last December. The other day, I spoke to a friend and was reminded of the quandary, which is as follows:

Tolkien, among his many and excellent descriptive narrations, loved to describe characters looking off and over vast distances, frequently espying objects at extreme distances. This always struck me as funny. Here’s one example, from The Hobbit:

“But they came to that high point at morning, and looking backward they saw a white sun shining over the outstretched lands. There behind lay Mirkwood, blue in the distance, and darkly green at the nearer edge even in the spring. There far away was the Lonely Mountain on the edge of eyesight. On its highest peak snow yet unmelted was gleaming pale.”

– Bilbo (and Gandalf) at the High Pass over the Misty Mountains, Chapter 18, The Return Journey

A lovely scene. But, was it possible? Could Bilbo, or anyone for that matter, have seen Erebor from roughly 300 miles away? Let’s, right here and now, find out.

Assumptions:

A) “300 miles” is based on my crude calculation and measurement, using the map and scale included in the deluxe boxed edition of the LOTR, from where I think the High Pass is located to where I think the peak of Erebor stands gleaming. The scale ruler is 0 – 300 miles, and it is almost an exact fit.

B) Arda was modeled after the real Earth and was spherical in the late Third Age. I will assume it is also roughly the same size and mass and with the same radius, diameter, etc.

C) I assume that this bright, sunny morning was completely free of any and all atmospheric distortion and there were no physical obstacles in the way.

D) Bilbo had better than average eyes, but I assume The Ring did not augment his visual abilities.

E) If Lonely Mountain was still snow-capped in a “fair” Spring, then it must be at least 10,000 feet tall. For convenience sake, I assume the High Pass was of similar elevation.

F) I assume my use of the simple equation, below, is sufficient. I essentially double it, thus effectively creating the measure of the more complex geometrical “offing” equation. I’m rambling about a book, not sailing a damned ship.

Now, it’s just a matter of math. Looking for distance, “d,” in miles, to the horizon:

d ≅ 1.22 x √h

“h” is the height of the observation point – here, assumed to be at least or about 10,000 ft.

d ≅ 1.22 x √10,000

d ≅ 122 miles

Uh, oh…

But, wait! Tolkien never said Erebor was at or on the actual horizon, he said it was on the edge of eyesight. As mariners know, some taller objects are visible over and beyond the horizon. Keeping Bilbo’s point of observation at about 10,000 ft, let’s measure how far the horizon was would be, from Erebor, looking towards the West.

If Erebor is 10,000 feet high, then we know it’s another 122 miles. Assuming Bilbo saw the very tip of the top of the highest peak over and beyond his already 122-mile distant horizon, and allowing for simple addition (a lot of assumptions and allowances, yes), then it’s still 56 miles too far away to be seen. But, what if Erebor was taller than 10,000 feet?

If Erebor was a 20,000-foot mountain, then it’s own d to the horizon would be 172 miles, for a total line of sight of 294 miles. That is getting there. If the High Pass was really high, say 15,000 feet, then Bilbo’s d to the horizon would be 149 miles. That adds up to a total potential line of sight of 321 miles.

Thus, and I did not really expect this, given all of my assumptions, there is a distinctly plausible range of line of sight which renders Bilbo’s sighting hypothetically possible. He, in fact, could have looked across Wilderland and literally seen the tip-top of the Lonely Mountain.

To think you doubted Professor Tolkien just a little. To cure this shame, we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt as to all the other measurements. Astounding detail and accuracy.

And, happy July!

The teachers can’t either.

Almost 2,400 North Carolina elementary school teachers have failed the math portion of their licensing exams, which puts their careers in jeopardy, since the state hired Pearson publishing company to give the exam in 2013, according to a report presented to the state Board of Education Wednesday.

Failure rates have spiked as schools around the state struggle to find teachers for the youngest children. Education officials are now echoing what frustrated teachers have been saying: The problem may lie with the exams rather than the educators.

Teachers in Florida and Indiana have also seen mass failures when their states adopted Pearson testing, according to news reports from those states. Concern about the validity of the Pearson licensing exams is so pervasive that it was discussed at this year’s National Education Association conference, said North Carolina Association of Educators President Mark Jewell.

There are such things as bad tests. There are also ways to beat them if they are a problem. However, that doesn’t explain away the low proficiency rates among the students. This looks like the fruit falling near the tree. Except that, in the woods, gravity operates for free. American taxpayers spend a lot of money on failure. I’d drop some numbers here, but: 1) I’ve done that so many times, and; 2) I don’t want to confuse anyone to the point they have to consult with their ninth grade child…

banksters, economics, inflation, math, money, space, stupidity

It usually isn’t on display in the economic/business news. For instance, does anyone of any measurable intelligence really believe making every person on the planet a billionaire would change anything?

The world’s first trillionaire won’t come from cryptocurrency or some clever new app – he or she will become rich from asteroid mining.

That’s what bankers Goldman Sachs reckon, anyway – and several companies are now vying to be the first into space.

NASA estimates that the total value of asteroids out there could be up to $700 quintillion – equivalent to £75 billion each for us here on Earth.

That is the equivalent of saying a wolf told you that a fox was hungry and thus every chicken would be happier.

The asteroid mining idea is real and will happen – but not with every single body orbiting the Sun. Someone will likely become extremely wealthy as a result. If The Goldman Sachs has its way, then that someone will be in some way directly related to Goldman Sachs. (And why switch dollars to pounds in the same sentence?)

If the real obtainable value of the celestial rocks really is $700 quintillion, then expect Goldman, the Fed, and Mordor to arrange future loans in the septillion range, with derivatives betting on the order of decillions. Gresham’s Law dictates they would still find a way to kill positive growth with funny money.

The zeros behind the $ or the £ mean nothing. That’s why, even if one distributed the actual cash value of the space debris to each and every person on Earth, turning everyone into billionaires, nothing would change. Zimbabwe is replete with billionaires – who can’t afford lunch.

In his defense, Rob Waugh is an excellent jack-of-all-trades journalist; maybe economics just isn’t one of them. However, that should be (should be) a specialty over at Bloomberg, where they supposedly push business news.

Yet, they seem surprised we have inflation in America and that that cuts into wages.

U.S. inflation accelerated in May to the fastest pace in more than six years, reinforcing the Federal Reserve’s outlook for gradual interest-rate hikes while eroding wage gains that remain relatively tepid despite an 18-year low in unemployment.

The consumer price index rose 0.2 percent from the previous month and 2.8 percent from a year earlier, matching estimates, a Labor Department report showed Tuesday. The annual gain was the biggest since February 2012 and follows a 2.5 percent increase in April. Excluding food and energy, the core gauge was up 0.2 percent from the prior month and 2.2 percent from May 2017, also matching the median estimates of economists.

Fed. Fed. Fed. Fed. Rates. Rates. Rates. In Bloomberg’s defense, they are actually in the business of promoting certain interests, like those of Goldman.

The narrative works something like this: The economy is great, never stronger. Unemployment is low, officially. Wages are rising. Inflation is low. Oops, for completely unforeseen reasons, likely related to gas prices, it reared its ugly head. Time to raise rates on the flood of fiat. Sally School teacher in Iowa sees her recent raise evaporate. But that doesn’t matter; Goldman is mining the Moon or something.

They leave out: That all the money, almost all of it, is fake, based on debts that cannot be repaid. Everything in the economy depends on said fake money (it’s like mixing in helium for a dive – a little boosts depth range, too much kills). Wages are always one of the last things to “catch up” after a correction – only just in time for the next correction. Real wage buying power (how much the pay is really worth) only this year returned to levels last seen in 1973. 45 years of loss, and the new, temporary gains are now squashed by inflation.

It’s almost like we’ve entered into a terminal phase wherein the wages will not, cannot recover. Workers and earners see their purchasing power decline to ancient levels, their standards of living plunge toward serf-like proximity.

When this all hits the fan the next time around, it may hail the curtain call for the banksters. That would be the good news.

TO GO WITH STORY "SPACE-JAPAN-AUSTRALIA-
