President Obama is the man. Yes, I am rather hard on him sometimes. Okay, all the time. And, yes, that included this very morning. But that’s just kidding around about fun and games: war, terrorism, the economy, etc.

Today things are different. Whatever else he may have done, today Obama struck a blow for freedom.

This morning, around 11:30, Obama issued an Executive Directive which chips away hard at one of the last vestiges of the idiotic Cuban Embargo. Since 1962, Cuban cigars (and rum) have been off-limits (officially) to Americans. As the Cuban people were mightily harmed by the economic limitations of the embargo, so American cigar enthusiasts have been hampered by the import ban.

Today, Obama undid that. Thank. You. Brother.

Pinterest.

Last year America lifted most tourism limits on island visits. As of today, those tourists can bring back up to 100 fine cigars and multiple bottles of rum. For those out of the loop, that means 4 – 5 boxes of cigars. And Cuban rum is something else; I’ve actually had bad Cuban smokes, but never bad rum.

Several hundred thousand Americans have already visited Cuban, including a few of my friends. A very good friend is down there right now. Hey, Jake! Bring me back a few Bolivar Belicoso Finos! There’s a good chap.

And Jake knows what he’s doing; he’s a professional. The rest of you venturing to Cuba, please be careful. There are Cubans and then there are Cubans. The production is pretty much maxed out at present and we have a bit of a supply problem to deal with. That’s why the retail sale of Cubans in America may not commence so quickly as one might think. They don’t have that many to send us.

Cubans and *Cubans*. The very best sticks leave home for Europe, Asia and the Middle East – places that have not foolishly hobbled their smoking gentry for the past 54 years. I suppose the very best stuff stays on the island, in the hands of the Castro Brothers and their friends. The rest is … sub-par on average. Of course, Cuban sub-par still may be “good.” But, then again, we already have plenty of good (even great and awesome) cigars from places like Nica and the DR.

It will take a while for us to get a decent cut of the really good merchandise. In the meantime, if you go to Cuba, beware of what you find. There is an existing “Cuban” market just for Americans in the Caribbean. They know they can sell us anything, and they do. Low-grade leftovers and floor sweepings. And fakes. Buyers beware. Consult a good tobacconist when you’re planning your trip. This situation will improve in time.

And what improvement we had today! Thank you, President Obama, for doing the right and decent thing. I promise to lay off my usual political comments (as to Obama…) for the rest of the weekend.

Smoke it up!

Shaking in their boots.

Hussein Obama is meeting with assorted military yes men and foreign policy hacks today to discuss martial options in Syria. I’m sure the one option not discussed is leaving everything the hell alone and minding our own business.

Ahead of the conclave an anonymous source quoted Hussein:

If it is to be destabilized, we must appropriate. Money … for rebels fighting Aleppo. More refugees and Hillary … and we must show [Putin or Trump(?)] we mean democracy. If you like your quagmire, you can keep your quagmire. Many women were offended. I know that there are extremist Christians who believe guns and God will vote. Nowhere, America. Shanked it right. Affordable generals. Healthcare. Flooding Matthew over Haiti. Vacation.

No-one is yet sure what Dear Leader was saying but it certainly sounded important. Out of an abundance of caution a psychiatrist and a caddy have been summoned to the oval office.

In related news the Pentagon recently published a 72-page field guide for implementing transgender weirdness in the politically correct freak show formerly known as the U.S. Armed Services. The booklet addresses “‘gender dysphoria,’ or ‘the distress that some transgender individuals experience due to a mismatch between their gender and their sex assigned at birth.'”

You can now plainly see why Putin must tremble with fear. I wonder if the poor man can even sleep at night.

I’m not making this up. You can’t make this stuff up anymore. Science fiction cannot compete with the new reality. The Policy Guide.

Someone Is Protecting Saudi Arabia

On Friday Hussein Obama issued the twelfth veto of his career.

President Obama on Friday vetoed legislation that would allow families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia in U.S courts, setting up a high-stakes showdown with Congress.

“I recognize that there is nothing that could ever erase the grief the 9/11 families have endured,” Obama wrote in his veto message. “Enacting JASTA into law, however would neither protect Americans from terrorist attacks nor improve the effectiveness of our response to such attacks.”

Obama’s move opens up the possibility that lawmakers could override his veto for the first time with a two-thirds vote in both chambers.
Republican and Democratic leaders have said they are committed to holding an override vote, and the bill’s drafters say they have the support to force the bill to become law.

The Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA) unanimously passed through both chambers by voice vote.

That means every member of Congress (both houses and both parties) voted for it. Members of the President’s party were just as enthusiastic about the law as Republicans. Why then did Obama shoot it down?

It has long been suspected that Saudi Arabia (and possibly other countries) gave support to the 9/11 terrorists. The Commission impaneled to investigate the attacks found some supporting evidence though their actions were constantly blocked by the Bush administration. A large chunk of their report was classified. When released this year the classified papers were still heavily redacted though they suggested Saudi involvement.

The danger of a lawsuit for the Saudis and maybe the administration (Obama, Bush, and perhaps even Clinton) is that the discovery process might reveal the details of the previous obstruction and redactions. There would be no way to compel the Saudis to comply. However, legally, certain questions and requests, if unanswered, could be deemed answered nonetheless in favor of the plaintiffs.

Did your government give material support to Muhammad Atta?

No answer.

The court deems material support was given to Atta by the Defendants.

Did Saudi Arabia act in concert with Washington to facilitate the attacks?

See how that works?

Such revelations might lead to the truth. And that is something the owners and special interests do not want.

obamaveto

Free Republic.

It would be amazing that, after almost never vetoing any legislation, Obama choose this one. It would be except we’re talking about the most corrupt administration since the last one.

Vetoes historically are difficult to override. There is a small single-digit percentage rate of success against them. The fact that the Congressional votes were unanimous and the scalding nature of this issue may help. We may know as soon as this week.

Record Taxes, Record Debts

More credit given where and when due: Hussein Obama is the greatest tax collector in the history of America, probably the world. Through last month Obama has raised $20,197,437,000,000 during his two terms in office.

That sum is, theoretically, more than enough to pay of the government’s (on-books) debt. That would leave nothing with which to operate the government. Horror!

Of course the debt was half of what it is now when Obama first took office. Had the government operated at Constitutional levels, there would have been plenty and to spare to completely pay off the debt before now.

This also means that Obama raises enough money each year via real taxation to run the federal leviathan at 2000 levels without any debt at all. Didn’t they get by in 2000? Why can’t they make do with that kind of spending now. Ron Paul officially raised that question back when there was still time to elect him president. That idea did not sit well with the criminals at the Federal Reserve.

Now Donald Trump is actually making similar noise:

To wit, Yellen is still sitting on interest rates at the zero bound after 93 months for one simple reason. Even in the context of an economic recovery that is now allegedly so complete that we are actually on the cusp of full employment, according to Vice-Chairman Stanley Fischer, she is deathly fearful of a hissy fit on Wall Street, as was foreshadowed by last Friday’s sharp sell-off.

Opined the Donald:

“She’s obviously political and she is doing what [President Barack] Obama wants her to do,” Trump said in an interview on CNBC. Trump predicted that the market is going to “go way down” as soon as interest rates go up.

“I believe it is a false market because money is essentially free,” Trump said.

He got that right but needs to take it a step further. At the same time that the Fed continues placating Wall Street gamblers with an unending stint of free carry trade funding that has self-evidently not generated real breadwinners jobs or higher real incomes in Flyover America, savers and retirees continue to be pounded.

In fact, our unelected monetary politburo is causing upwards of $300 billion per year to be transferred from savers to the banks and the financial system owing to its senseless pursuit of 2.00% inflation via pegging the money market interest rate on the zero-bound.

All Donald has to do to get my endorsement is to call for the abolition of the Fed. Well, that and promise to drive the banksters into the sea. He won’t, of course. The game will go on a little while longer.

Somewhere on Google.

There are no plans to pay off the debt. It is in fact un-payoff-able by design. One day all that red ink will have to be repudiated or written off. We might as well look at that reality now. I say cancel the debt – cancel all debts. And make debt illegal. Make issuing usurious debt a capital felony. There oughta be a law!

Otherwise, by 2024, Trump will hold the tax collection record while presiding over a $40-50 Trillion (on-books) debt. These are dubious records – like the highest score on the golf course.

That’s what I’m Yellin’ bout.

Felonious Entanglement

America’s first president warned his compatriots and their posterity to steer clean of entangling foreign affairs. (Geo. Washington, Farewell Address, 1796). He also advised against the ills of faction, or party-based politics as these tend to foster the death of civility while at the same time allowing for the expansion of laws. This wise admonishment was dutifully copied into history books and then promptly forgotten.

When, at unhappy times, faction meets entanglement, bad things happen.

Being born of European breed, it is only natural that America would have some alliance with and affairs in Britain and the Continent. Even Washington did; Lafayette, we remember. What Washington was warning of was affairs to the point of controlling and confusing excess. Sometimes the excess is demonstrated in ridiculous fashion.

SanePolicy

Maybe the dummies can’t read. Davesblogcentral.com.

Europe and America still have much in common, including many of the same problems. Refugees, immigration, and terrorism are a few of those modern commonalities. France’s Hollande has made a career out of brilliant failure to address Islamic counterculture and terror in his own country. On his sleepy watch the French have endured attack after attack after attack – mass murder upon mass murder. He should resign and auto-exile.

Instead he chooses to intercede in American politics with haughty words and unclear motives. Hollande, who has lain down for the French, is disgusted that one man at least says he might stand up for Americans. His counterpart in Germany, equally ineffective in operation if a tad more evil in theory, has wisely if oddly remained silent. If she will not also resign, at least she keeps quite. Entanglement with those two might be unwise to say the least.

France and Germany both have many connections with America, not least of which are their economic ties. They, along with Switzerland and the failing EU, have powerful central banks. The Swiss host the most powerful of all such institutions, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). With such money-changers we often find the intersection of entanglement and funny money, oftentimes with not-so-funny reactions.

America’s latest president recently made scandalous use of that interwoven, Monopoloy money, printing press relationship. He did so to facilitate the latest blunder in a decades-old string of entanglement in another part of the world.

In the 1950’s the people of Iran elected a new government – democratically and in pursuit of self-determination – then said to be approved conduct by the American elite. The elite, ever a fickle and criminal bunch, had a change of collective black heart. In 1953 the CIA essentially overthrew the new prime minister and his reform-oriented government in order to permanently keep the Shaw Mohammad in power. The Shaw declared himself emperor in 1967. This was good business for the military-industrial complex. It was also a fantastic example of entanglement writ large.

In 1979 the Shaw placed an order with the MIC for the purchase of American fighter jets, secured with a $400 million deposit. The transaction was poorly timed as the Iranian people had nearly simultaneously had enough of the Shaw’s oppression and, accordingly, ousted him in favor of religious zealots. 1979 also saw the advent of the long-lasting Iranian policy of hostage taking for political purposes.

True to form, around 2014 the Iranians seized several Americans on dubious charges and held them as pawns in their never-ending match with D.C. Around the same time the Iranians’ case against America for the return of that $400 million (plus interest) was moving through arbitration in the Hague. There was also the issue of Iran’s nuclear projects.

In January of 2016 all of these issues appeared to have been neatly wrapped up; Hussein Obama himself tied a little bow atop the package. Iran agreed to international monitoring, hostages were released, and the court case was settled. At first and independent glance it appeared the deal was a triumph of statesmanship. Maybe it was. Now the details are emerging; they do not look promising.

The Obama administration this year stealthily transferred $400 million in cash to Iran. This was the first payment (all on a single airplane to Tehran) under a $1.7 Billion settlement of the old 1979 case. The administration says it was done to facilitate the terms of the legal case. Critics say it amounted to a ransom payment. Both are likely correct. I, upon hastily reading a few laws, wonder if it did not also amount to a felony.

The $400 million payment was assembled of various European currencies and delivered on palates in a cargo plane. The money came from those European central banksters and was arranged by mysterious Swiss types – probably in the BIS. The administration admitted it could not (openly) send U.S. currency as that would violate U.S. law against paying cash to Iran.

Following the unpleasantness of 1979 the U.S. enacted laws prohibiting investment and most other transactions with Iran. Knowing the D.C. lust for criminalizing everything, I looked for something and found it.

It’s not just outright payments that are prohibited. Any attempt to evade the law and any conspiracy to do so also amounts to a violation. See: 31 C.F.R. § 560.203.  If you or I had attempted to invest money in Iran for whatever reason and had converted our U.S. dollars into Euros or Francs in order to do so, we would already be in jail for conspiracy to evade the law. The penalties are both civil ($250,000 or twice the amount of the transaction) and criminal ($1 million fines and 20 years in prison). 50 U.S.C. § 1705. In other words, it’s a felony.

A felony for you and I, that is. We all know now that the law does not apply to the government itself. No law so applies. D.C. isn’t so much above the law as it is the law. Thus, it is lawless. Any FBI agent who dares issue an investigative report here wastes his time and commits career suicide.

Criminal or not, if these payments were a final end to the Iranian debacle, they would be (tax) money well spent. They are not. Once the meddling starts, it has no end.

This is why Washington forewarned us. We ignore his advice at our peril.

Hussein Obama’s final term in office is winding down. America lazily awaits the next pathetic resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue – likely a Big Club, elite, insider and megalomania or, perhaps, a coughing, psychopathic, unconvicted felon.

All big politicians make grandiose promises. Trump wants to build a wall. Hillary … I’m not sure what she’s promising. Maybe to stay on this side of the prison wall? Anyway, once elected, they all do the exact same thing: more of the same. They continue to grow the size and scope of federal power while raising taxes, and/or massively increasing the debt, keep a few pointless wars going, and make sure the banksters are fat and happy.

Hussein had his list of promises. ObamaCare might be the big one though it really just falls under general government growth and a tax increase. One he hasn’t gotten around to is his previously stated desire for a national security force (vaguely stated) comparable in strength to the regular, standing military. He hasn’t really done much towards that goal – yet.

He’s been a busy man. He had a debt to grow, golf, a nation to fundamentally transform, vacations, wars to pour money and lives into, taxes and higher pay for insurance executives, the Federal Reserve cabal to appease, ISIS to fund, attack, defend, and import into the U.S., more vacations, etc. Very busy. Now, at the end, he may be ready to launch his national whatever force or at least lay the groundwork.

Obama may be a lot of things but he is NOT a Muslim. FoxNews/DailyMail.

Last night, in Poland of all places, Obama said he wanted a nationalized police force. More to the point, he wants uniform, federal standards for state and local police – the federal takeover will come later. “I want to start moving on constructive actions that are actually going to make a difference,” Obama said when asked about how he planned to take advantage of the Dallas police shootings and general civil unrest.

Obama began touting the panel’s recommendations in March 2015. The report, titled “President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing Report,” was published in May 2015.

The report urges the federal government to federalize police training and practices, via the use of federal lawsuits, grants and threats to cut federal aid. So far, Obama’s deputies have cajoled and sued more than 30 police jurisdictions to adopt federal rules in a slow-motion creation of a national police system, similar to the slow-motion creation of a federal-run health-sector via Obamacare.

Because ObamaCare worked out so well. Same number of uninsured as before but with higher taxes and higher insurance premiums (for those with insurance) and a dwindling supply of doctors. If you like your sheriff, you can keep your sheriff. I’m not sure how insurance companies and banks will profit from this; rest assured they will, otherwise it wouldn’t be happening.

Here’s the Panel Report, issued by the Department of Justice [SIC] – the people that brought you Waco and an unindicted Hillary Clinton. I don’t recommend actually reading it unless one suffers from near-terminal insomnia.

Ah, another government report on ways to help the people, especially young black people – from an agency that keeps 2 Million young black people behind bars now for selling plants. Hypocrisy at its most psychotic.

Law enforcement standards and procedures from the feds, similar to those used by the FBI and ATF. They have such a stellar record a justice, everything is bound to be just fine – Waco, Ruby Ridge, Wounded Knee, Elian Gonzales, the BLM massacre, out of control false flag manufacturing operations like the Boston Marathon and the Pulse Club, prosecuting Martha Stewart but not Hillary, and on and on. What could go wrong?!

As I said, Obama is about out of time to fully implement this scheme. Herr Hillary has expressed interest in the same though that may be from a personal desire to control the police in an effort to stay out of jail herself. Anyway, the ball is rolling now and state balls only ever grow, gathering mass and speed as they careen towards the people.

Let’s just assume you like in a town with a draconian police force. They’re out to get everyone, corrupt, and they’re really, really bad. They need to be stopped but do you really think the feds are the ones to do it? To me, going to the feds to complain about the local police is much like Br’er Rabbit running to Br’er Bear to report on Br’er Fox. The problems won’t be solved – just shifted and worsened.

Troubles from laws and law enforcement are not solved by more laws and law enforcement. Nevermind that the federal government has no authority whatsoever to do any of this – they are, in fact, prohibited. The Constitution being dead, the law really doesn’t matter anymore. They will get what they want. You and I will get the shaft. More laws, less justice.

A Refuge From Refugees? Christians Need Not Apply

"Refugees", America, Christians, government, immigration, Obama, terrorism, The People

In honor of the June jihad, Hussein Obama admitted more than twice as many “refugees”to America in June as he did in May – 2,381 from Syria alone. Of that number, only eight were Christians – all the rest were Muslims with the exception of one who did not state a religion. That means the percentage of Christian refugees incoming in June was about .3%.

Something doesn’t add up. Assuming all these people are hapless, innocent victims of Washington’s proxy war in Syria, why wouldn’t there be a more even distribution of religions represented? Syria, according to Wikipedia, is nearly 8% Christian. That means 190 of the 2,381 should have been Christian – 8 percent not 8 numerically. Could it be someone doesn’t want Christians in a Christian country? Could it be ethnomasochism at work?

Now, let’s assume not all of these people are victims looking for help. 2,381 is a big enough number and we know the ranks are already skewed. What if some are coming to get revenge (and welfare) against America for its interventions in the Middle East? Or, just to commit crimes – like raping little girls in apartment complex laundry rooms.

These questions are on the minds of people in Rutland, Vermont, where residents are not so sure they want 100 of the new “refugees” in their town.

“To bring in 100 Syrians refugees is absolute lunacy,” [Dr. Timothy] Cook said. “They could be 100 people from Quebec and we’d still have to make accommodations for them, and it would fall to Rutland city taxpayers.”

“We’re not able to do it, and we’re not open to it,” said Cook, who helped found the opposition group Rutland First and says residents, not the mayor, should decide whether the Syrians come to town.

Rutland is small town America – about 16,000 residents. The new push is to settle “refugees” in smaller towns and cities, as the big cities have already become breeding grounds for crime and terrorism.

It’s the new Amerika. Better put some cameras in the laundry rooms.

Incompetence From Our “JV Team”

Hussein Obama, ever one of intrinsic flippancy, once remarked that ISIS was merely a “JV team” in terms of war-making and of being dangerous. I can’t recall if he said that while playing golf or from a vacation.

The terrorists who shot up and bombed the airport in Istanbul yesterday operated with the planing and efficiency of a special forces team.

A three-part attack beginning with a diversion is a new level of sophistication. That should scare the U.S. and Europe.

Three months after attacking Brussels airport, terrorists have shown in the attack on Istanbul’s international airport an alarming ability to stay one move ahead of the defenses put in place to stop them—an agility in planning that could present a new and serious threat to airports in the U.S.

Most experts agree that the Istanbul atrocity has the hallmarks of ISIS. Even then, the sophistication of how the attack was carried out has surprised them.

It was carried out in a way that suggests the kind of advance intelligence, careful study of a target, and cool execution that would normally be practised by Western special forces.

U.S. officials are showing some concern about the JV team but they’re showing it in Obama’s patented Neverland fashion.

CIA Director John Brennan said that the suicide bombings in Istanbul, Turkey bore the signs of ISIS and should serve as a warning to Americans that the terrorist group is aiming to carry out similar attacks in the U.S.

“I’d be surprised if [ISIS] is not trying to carry out that kind of attack in the United States,” Brennan told Yahoo News Tuesday evening.

…

He said ISIS has so far been unable to attack the U.S. directly because of effective homeland security and intelligence measures, but warned that the militants would continue their attempts to infiltrate American defenses.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper raised similar concerns last month. He told CNN in May that ISIS has the capability to conduct a large-scale Paris-style attack in the U.S.

They haven’t yet but they have the capacity… What was Orlando? JV practice? What happened at the Amarillo Wal-Mart? Who attacked Trump supporters in California? What about San Bernardino? Boston? Am I just imagining that these things happened? Or, are these people blind?

They don’t understand ISIS, a thing they created. ISIS doesn’t need to operate like a traditional state or army; it can call on radical cells and individuals as needed. They don’t consider ISIS a threat even as it rapidly captures territory in multiple countries. They warn about possible future attacks as we are attacked every week. All the while, they stir the mix of terrorism in the Middle East and continue to import enormous numbers of radicals.

Our government is behaving like a JV team. That, or they’re trying to throw the game.

FreeRepublic.

Hussein Obama and the American government are saying over and over that Omar Marteen was a “lone wolf” and a home-grown menace. Their blind narrative helps deflect suspicion of a false flag, lessens scrutiny on their wars and mad immigration policies, and give them a shot (pun) at gun control for the masses. The narrative is dead wrong. It is a myth.

President Obama says don’t worry, the Orlando terrorist was just another “lone actor” operating in isolation, unconnected to any larger group of supporters. In fact, these so-called “lone wolves” are running in packs, and suggesting otherwise gives the public a false sense of security.

Yet Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson echoed Obama, saying Omar Mateen was “self-radicalized” without any religious, ideological or operational support from friends, family or others in the Muslim community.

“What we do know at this point is it appears this was a case of self-radicalization,” Johnson said. “He does not appear to have been part of any group.”

A more accurate picture is that Mateen, an Afghan-American, was part of a disturbingly large Muslim family of sympathizers, supporters and even co-conspirators.

This doesn’t even begin to cover the possibility of government conspirators or sympathizers but it is a great refutation of the simplistic stupidity coming from the Department of Homeland Theater and 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. They’re plan is to keep importing radicals. They all must be stopped.

Gun Control: The Great Divide (Over Nothing)

Mass shootings, terror attacks, and assassinations always prompt a heated national “discussion” on the matter of firearms and firearms control (the private ones, mind you). As with any important issue there are many competing ideas and angles though there are two predominant groups that get attention – pro-gun control and anti-gun control. While I am solidly in favor of the private ownership and use of firearms, my anarchist disposition gives me a unique, almost outside view.

As I see the current debate one side, the gun controllers, really want a complete ban on all private firearms though they present their ideology in terms of “responsible”, incremental measures designed only to ensure safety. The other side, the NRA side, nominally defends the Second Amendment while agreeing to many of the same incremental controls sought by the other side. I see both groups ultimately seeking to use the power of government to advance their own agendas and the agenda and existence of the government itself. They are both allied with the state. I have no use for any of them.

Some of the gun grabbers are blatant about their ultimate aim – Rolling Stone called for the repeal of the Second Amendment. Other grabbers pretend to agree that individuals have the right to keep and bear arms while insisting that those arms never be used for defensive purposes.

The main problem with the notion of self-defense is it imposes on justice, for everyone has the right for a fair trial. Therefore, using a firearm to defend oneself is not legal because if the attacker is killed, he or she is devoid of his or her rights. In addition, one’s mental capacity is a major factor in deciding whether a man or woman has the right to have a firearm.

The author of this insane Huffington Post statement wants to alter, rather than abolish, the 2A in order to nullify it. The author takes into account only those relatively few crimes committed and lives lost to the illegal use of guns. Considered in totality, privately owned guns save far more lives every day and every year than they take. Then again, by this man’s standards, each such lawful defensive usage constitutes a deprivation of the original aggressor’s right.

The only thing I can think of to attempt to justify this kind of logic is that this fellow obviously worships the government as a god and regards laws as a religion. Like a Natural Law theorist, he seeks to conform all positive law to the designs of and the adoration of his god. He would happily place the primacy of the state over the lives of human beings. He is a statist’s statist. Some on the other side do a good job of refuting this nonsense:

We have a government here that is heedless of its obligation to protect our freedoms. We have a government that, in its lust to have us reliant upon it, has created areas in the U.S. where innocent folks living their lives in freedom are made defenseless prey to monsters—as vulnerable as fish in a barrel. And we have mass killings of defenseless innocents—over and over and over again.

How dumb are these politicians who want to remove the right to self-defense? There are thousands of crazies in the U.S. who are filled with hate—whether motivated by politics, self-loathing, religion, or fear. If they want to kill, they will find a way to do so. The only way to stop them is by superior firepower. Disarming their law-abiding victims not only violates the natural law and the Constitution but also is contrary to all reason.

All these mass killings have the same ending: The killer stops only when he is killed. But that requires someone else with a gun to be there. Shouldn’t that be sooner rather than later?

The NRA is the poster child of the pro-Second Amendment movement. They are vilified by the New York Times:

What makes the legislative inaction all the more maddening is that there is general public agreement in favor of attempts like these to reduce the bloodshed. An overwhelming majority of Americans — including gun owners and even N.R.A. members — support universal background checks, while strong majorities want to block sales to suspected terrorists and ban high-capacity magazines.

And yet the N.R.A. rejects these steps, even though it says that terrorists shouldn’t be able to get guns. Instead, it clings to the absurd fantasy that a heavily-armed populace is the best way to keep Americans safe. That failed in Orlando, where an armed security guard was on the scene but could not stop the slaughter.

There is no truth to any of this dribble from the fallen Gray Lady. The worst of the lies is that the NRA is complicit with terrorism and that it blocks those “common sense” gun control measures. It does not. The NRA seems more than happy with the bulk of the existing gun control measure – all of them unconstitutional. While the NRA backs lawsuits to overturn various local measures, they roundly accept the Gun Control Act and the National Firearms Act. Both of these laws treat all Americans like criminals and bar the easy or economical possession of the type of weapons actually protected by the Second Amendment.

The NRA also agrees with the opposition regarding the expansion of watch lists – to exclude terrorists from the gun pool of course, and no more… Their own words on the matter:

Fairfax, Va.— The executive director of the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action, Chris W. Cox, released the following statement regarding terror watchlists:

We are happy to meet with Donald Trump. The NRA’s position on this issue has not changed. The NRA believes that terrorists should not be allowed to purchase or possess firearms, period. Anyone on a terror watchlist who tries to buy a gun should be thoroughly investigated by the FBI and the sale delayed while the investigation is ongoing. If an investigation uncovers evidence of terrorist activity or involvement, the government should be allowed to immediately go to court, block the sale, and arrest the terrorist. At the same time, due process protections should be put in place that allow law-abiding Americans who are wrongly put on a watchlist to be removed. That has been the position of Sen. John Cornyn (R.-Tex.) and a majority of the U.S. Senate. Sadly, President Obama and his allies would prefer to play politics with this issue.

This statement places the NRA (and Donald Trump by association) in the same position regarding gun control as Senate Democrats and the Obama administration – though the Executive seems a little at odds with itself as to how the proposed list measures would be (will be) implemented. Proposals to expand the “no-fly” list to cover firearms purchases has even drawn the ire of the ACLU as the list procedures (as they exists and as proposed) violate fundamental due process.

The NRA, Donald Trump, Hussein Obama, and their friends are all wrong. There is no due process at all concerning these controls. The new Senate proposal, S.551, mentions due process protection and then negates it in the same paragraph.

The government really has no dog in this fight as it is the primary creator and enabler of terrorism today. If not for the unceasing meddling and misadventure of the state there wouldn’t be any terrorists in our nation to worry about and no need for any lists nor for gun control.

A former CIA agent admits the government and the elites are the problem:

A former CIA counterterrorism agent has said it is time to talk about why terrorism really happens, and to address the “misguided narratives” that lead to oversimplification of the situation and continued war.

Amaryllis Fox worked on counterterrorism and intelligence in the CIA’s clandestine service for ten years. She told AJ+ that the beliefs surrounding terrorism are “stories manufactured by a really small number of people on both sides, who amass a great deal of power and wealth by convincing the rest of use to keep killing each other.”

Fox says the current conversation about Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the US “is more oversimplified than ever.”

“Ask most Americans whether ISIS poses an existential threat to this country and they’ll say yes. That’s where the conversation stops,” she said.

Her observation echo what H.L. Mencken said about the government’s imaginary hobgoblins a century ago. Hitler concurred that terrorism (real or manufactured) is the best way to keep people panicked and, therefore, controlled. Gun control is about people control. Terrorism, war, and government in general are about creating and maintaining power for a few. It’s that simple. That’s what they’re working towards.

And, they are working hard. After Washington stirs up an already volatile region in begins to import the angered locals into America. Some really are hapless refugees. Others are terrorists – as the CIA admits. Oddly … or not, many of the recent notable terror suspects in America have had some ties to the CIA. This should raise serious questions and red flags about the state’s motives and how those motives negatively affect the rest of us – but it doesn’t. The bulk of the discussion put forward by either side of the political divide or by the government itself is: what else can the government do?

What they are doing is just more of the same. The people keep seeing their freedoms chipped away. The elites keep amassing power. The useless laws grow. The attacks, foreign and domestic, continue. They unvetted “refugees” keep pouring in – over 400 from Syria alone – since the Battle of Orlando this past weekend.

The horror and the comedy of the divide is how pointless it all is. Until the ridiculous, blasphemous, and hellish cult of government is dealt with, none of it matters.
