The Donald had them cheering last night. I did not watch but I have reviewed the transcript of what he said. I am convinced the man has essentially gotten himself elected but I am not impressed.

To all Americans tonight, in all our cities and towns, I make this promise: We Will Make America Strong Again.

We Will Make America Proud Again.

We Will Make America Safe Again.

And We Will Make America Great Again.

                – Trump, July 21, 2016, Politico.

What about Free again?

160721_donald_trump_speech_getty_1160.jpg

Politico/Getty.

I decided to dissect his speech, looking for mention of certain words and ideas. Here’s what I found:

***

Freedom: one mention (pg 47):  in relation to the TPP – “I pledge to never sign any trade agreement that hurts our workers, or that diminishes our freedom and independence.”

Free (as a positive human condition): one (pg 57) – “protect free speech of all Americans.”

Liberty: 0 mentions.

Liberties: 0 mentions.

Independence: one (pg 47) – again in relation to TPP.

Right(s) (as a positive, individual human possession): 2 (pgs 30 and 55) – the right of children to live their lives – right of all Americans to keep their families safe.

Constitution: 1 (pg 55) – concerning only the appointment of Supreme Court justices.

The Founders: 0.

Firearms: 0.

Second Amendment: 1 (pg 55) – Hillary wants to abolish.

Federal Reserve: 0.

Monetary Policy: 0.

Debt: 1 mention (pg 10): Obama has doubled the debt (no promise to eliminate it or even to lower the growth rate).

Elimination of government agencies: 0. (Donald days he will ask Department heads for a list of wasteful programs to eliminate in his first 100 days. The wasteful departments themselves seem safe).

Intervention (foreign meddling): 0. (Trump rightly placed blame on the current Administration for its idiotic policies but elsewhere maintained that America would continue the same albeit with support from our allies and dependents).

***

Trump’s speech was meant solely to rally his party into a frenzy. It worked. His words centered on safety and wealth, giving only the barest afterthoughts to freedom and, then, only in the context of government policies. He promised tax and regulatory cuts, which are badly needed. However, he said nothing of reducing the overall scope of government nor of ending or curtailing the reliance on the central banking cabal. He doesn’t want to eliminate anything but, rather, replace and retool failed policies with other failed policies. He spoke of fighting terrorism but of its being a product of Hillary’s design – he remarks on terror and criminal invasion smelled of back-peddling, almost to the point of pandering.

This speech gave those who listened what they wanted to hear but was not necessarily what should have been said. Again, the people are getting what they want and what they deserve.

At this late (too late) point, this is the best we can do. I understand many will vote Trump thinking he is better than Hillary. He is different but no better. This speech told me everything I need to know. He’s a big government champion and another politician.

During the next four or eight years we can look forward to more of the same. I really, really hope I’m wrong though I think I am right. This speech didn’t help.

The following story kind of torpedoes the sayings: “If you ain’t done nothing wrong, you ain’t got nothing to worry about,” and “Comply with the officer’s commands”.

Watch the video:

NORTH MIAMI, FLA. (WSVN) – A therapist who works at a group home for the disabled is still in shock after a North Miami Police officer shot him, but according to the Police Union president, that officer may have been aiming for someone else.

Thursday afternoon, the North Miami Police Department released a statement saying that officer has been placed on administrative leave. They have yet to identify the officer but they described him as a 30-year-old Hispanic male who has been with the department for four years.

Protesters gathered outside the North Miami Police Headquarters with signs and questions about how an unarmed man with his hands up could be shot by police.

Cellphone video was released Wednesday afternoon showing of Charles Kinsey lying on the ground with his hands in the air, telling officers that weapons are not necessary. Police were summoned to the scene by a 911 caller on Monday saying someone was armed and suicidal.

HANDS IN AIR

Good deed getting punished. News 7 Miami.

Based on the video, I wonder who the hell the other person they were shooting at was. The mentally challenged man playing with (armed with) the toy truck?

This man was doing his job, a very compassionate job. He wasn’t doing anything wrong. He shouldn’t have had anything to worry about. There was no danger (other than from the cops) at the scene. The man did exactly as instructed and remained calm, trying both to de-escalate the officers and to help his charge. The police said they were trying to save him … so they shot him.

All this happened because some busybody called 911 – a practice that gets a lot of innocent people beaten, body-slammed, tazed, shot, hospitalized and murdered. Calling 911 is talking to the police. One should NEVER do that. In addition to giving the police something to use against the caller (anything you say can and will be used against you…) and it gets people shot, etc.

Luckily, the good Samaritan lived. It appears he will recover and be compensated for his almost being murdered. The special needs man with the toy truck appears to be okay. Very lucky. The specific officer who opened fire should be in prison. The police department should be disbanded.

Democrats are (once again) celebrating Hillary’s inexplicable ability to avoid the jailhouse. Republicans are celebrating Trump for Trump’s sake. It’s so exciting!

They should all take a brief pause to celebrate a mutual achievement, many years in the making. The on-books U.S. federal debt has hit TWENTY TRILLION DOLLARS ($20,000,000,000,000)!!!! Hooray for government!

Actually, it’s a hair under $19.4 Trillion. Or, it was; it has gone up many millions of dollars while I’ve been typing these sentences. But, heck, I’m celebrating early. Here’s where it stood just a minute or two ago:

nimbus-image-1469105193964

Courtesy: U.S. Debt Clock.

Yes, your “share” of the debt is almost $60,000. Each one of your children “owes” $60,000 – today – tomorrow (hell, later this morning) it will be more.

The debt, if it must be divvied up, should be allocated among about 600 corrupt men and women – the President, members of Congress, Treasury officials, and Fed Governors. They each “owe” roughly $32.33 Billion. By the way, $19.4T is about 105% of our GDP.

That’s just for the federal debt, as officially and wrongly accounted. The total on-book liabilities including state, corporate, and your own debts comes closer to $66 Trillion (358% of GDP).

These are big numbers. They keep getting bigger.

A more honest accounting figures in the total of all liabilities like Medicare and Social Security shortcomings, which must under law be paid … somehow. The net present value of those liabilities is over $100 Billion (554% GDP). And, that’s what we owe, and need the money on hand to pay off, today. We’re in the hole. Deep.

Then, for honesty’s sake and as a precaution, one should calculate in the U.S. derivatives market. That means all of the side bets made by banks, insurance companies, and different funds – a sort of end around the Fed to create more money than really exists. That number is over $420 Trillion (what’s the point% of GDP). The global derivatives exposure pushes the number well over $1 QUADRILLION (Ha Ha % of GDP)! These extraordinary inclusions are important and necessary because, though they are private and fictitious, in the event of eventual default or collapse, they will be placed on the backs of the people. The banks are too big to fail, remember. Your share of that is something like $3,125,000. Got your checkbook ready, just in case???

Now for some predictions by me.

Presidents tend to serve two terms almost as a rule these days. I’d say there is, right now, a 65% chance Donald John Trump will be the 45th President. At the end of his second term the “official” U.S. debt will probably be somewhere around $40 Trillion. In the off-chance Hillary Rodham Clinton is elected, at the end of her second term the debt will also be about $40 Trillion. Again, that’s the loosely accounted debt. The real figure will be closer to a quarter Quadrillion, the hypothetical deviratives-based debt exposure closer to $2Q.

None of this will ever be paid. These numbers exceed the GDP of the entire world. The higher numbers are likely equal to, or exceed, the value of the entire earth and its contents. The only way to pay off such ridiculous amounts would be to print more money – which would have to be accounted as additional debt. Hilarious.

The politicians and the banksters would be content to let this cycle go on forever if that were possible. It is not. The people, the majority, don’t understand or care. It doesn’t hit home until the lights go out and the grocery store is derelict – ask those in Venezuela.

The only sane solution is to blank the books – entirely. The whole of all the debts should be repudiated and forgotten. This will happen at some point. It has to. We might as well make it an official decision. Thereafter, it might be wise to make debt illegal. How about a war on debt!? Debt issuance, by governments, banks, etc., could (should) be a felony; debt creation via usury and creation of supply inflating, funny money – capital felonies.

If that were now the law, we would need about 600 tall trees and 600 lengths of good rope. I think you’ll admit those are far easier and cheaper to come by than your $60,000 alternatives.

Getting The Business

Money reports there were fewer small business start-ups these days in America:

Bad news for aspiring entrepreneurs: Now might not be the best time to launch your own business.

Total entrepreneurial activity in the U.S.—measured by the number of people starting and operating new businesses—fell to 12% in 2015, from 14% in 2014, according to a report released Tuesday by Babson College. The drop reverses upward growth in small business activity during the previous four years.

The findings could indicate that employees are satisfied with their jobs and unwilling to strike out on their own. But the research could also show a lack of confidence in the small business environment in the wake of the recession, Babson professor Donna Kelley told CNBC. The Small Business Optimism Index, a metric from the National Federation of Independent Business, has remained below its 42-year average since the recession.

I find it interesting that commentators keep throwing around “since the last recession” and “the wake of the recession” so much. Are they talking about the 2008 financial crisis recession? You know, the one that will soon be a decade past. Or do they really mean the current or immediate future recession? We are historically overdue.

Ebay.

This story is a little personal for me as I launched (full-time) my small business this summer. I’ve had several in the past – all failures. This time will be different (as I’ve said before). A business idea, even if it’s the very best idea in the world, isn’t easy to get off the ground anymore. Big, existing, and stagnant business dinosaurs join with the government to make the start-up process as painful as possible.

Aside from the licenses, taxes, regulations, inspections, prohibitions, and general meddling, the corporatist/banking/state cabal has seen to it that your potential customers and investors are not in the best position to help you with your incredible idea launch – they too still recover from “the last recession”.

You’ve got the likes of Speaker Paul Ryan who promises to crack down on job-taking and nightclub-shooting immigrants just after he rubber-stamps another 300,000 of them coming in on visas.

It’s amazing that any small business starts today. I’m not so sure about that idea of employee satisfaction with existing work. CNBC reports on the woes of “regular” employment, the loss of jobs and pay, even on Wall Street. This story deals with Wall Street banks – those very entities that OWN America… If their employees are getting the short end of the stick, what does that suggest about the rest of the workforce?

Anyway, I’m plowing ahead with my new enterprise. Of late I have finally developed an email list of sorts. Someone important once said, “You’re an idiot if you don’t have a list.” I was an idiot up until last week… In my defense, I was still recovering “from the recession.”

Today, along my travels, I caught bits and pieces of what happened last night at the GOP Convention and Sideshow. Thankfully, I was able to ignore most of it. Something about Michelle Obama’s “the children are our future” speech? Blah.

Tonight I walked by a TV and heard 10 to 12 words from one Paul Ryan. He was saying something about Trump’s new job as President. Ryan needs to focus on keeping his job – looks doubtful right now (which would not be a bad thing for us). I walked back by and Chris Christie was blocking out the whole screen. Old Bridge Tolls was condemning Hillary “Classified Emails” Clinton. Pot, kettle.

I didn’t want to wait for any of the false promises and rah-rah. So I came here to blog-land.

How many times can people be duped? How many times can they cry wolf? Or “conservative”? Not much to conserve now, is there?

I ain’t buying any of it. Come next year and in the years that follow, some of you are in for a rude awakening. Then, sooner or later, you’ll again fall for more lies. I’ll be smoking a cigar, maybe fishing.

Firearms Ownership: A Universal Right

The elites and the gun grabbers are desperately counting on racial and other divides in order to exact more gun control, more people control, on the population. The problem, for them, is that we are not so divided as they would like.

Gavin Long, the racist who killed three police officers in Louisiana this weekend had a history of hating “crackers”. However, that did not seem to stop him from shooting and killing black and white officers alike. Even he wasn’t divided; he just saw blue targets. Some would surely love to pounce on these murders to further freedom controls. Hussein Obama wants the police to admit they have a problem. Gersh Kuntzman blames the “gun nuts”. Many will suggest, other issues aside, that blacks (and whites) simply are not safe in our culture of firearms. Facts failing them, they will resort to emotional appeals related to the spate of statistically insignificant but culturally damning shootings of late.

Their problem here, and it is a wonderful problem, with blacks and guns is that blacks have adopted the gun culture. Once upon a time firearms may have been the province of white males in the rural parts. Now, it’s everyone. Men, women, all races – everyone is carrying.

Many blacks astutely recognized the importance of gun ownership years and years ago. In 1867 Frederick Douglass hailed firearms ownership as one of the three hallmarks of a free man and his rights (“the ballot box, the jury box and the cartridge box”).

From local and state regulations in early America through the Gun Control Act of 1968, many control and prohibition laws were aimed at disarming blacks. One racist strategy was to limit the availability of cheaper guns, “Saturday night specials”, as these were frequently the only arms economically obtainable by blacks (and other groups of lower socio-economic status).

Indeed, the U.S. Supreme Court went so far as to list the carrying of arms as a right blacks were not entitled to (as they were not considered citizens). In relegating blacks to either second-class or chattel status, Roger Taney reasoned:

More especially, it cannot be believed that the large slaveholding States regarded them as included in the word citizens, or would have consented to a Constitution which might compel them to receive them in that character from another State. For if they were so received, and entitled to the privileges and immunities of citizens, it would exempt them from the operation of the special laws and from the police regulations which they considered to be necessary for their own safety. It would give to persons of the negro race, who were recognised as citizens in any one State of the Union, the right to enter every other State whenever they pleased, singly or in companies, without pass or passport, and without obstruction, to sojourn there as long as they pleased, to go where they pleased at every hour of the day or night without molestation, unless they committed some violation of law for which a white man would be punished; and it would give them the full liberty of speech in public and in private upon all subjects upon which its own citizens might speak; to hold public meetings upon political affairs, and to keep and carry arms wherever they went. And all of this would be done in the face of the subject race of the same color, both free and slaves, and inevitably producing discontent and insubordination among them, and endangering the peace and safety of the State.

Dred Scott v. Sanford, 60 U.S. 393, 416-417 (1857)(emphasis added).

The grabbers and the intellectually lazy of the legal education profession for decades overlooked this enumerated right in Scott and as set forth similarly in other cases in favor of a simplistic reading of Miller (1939). I recall reading once in a Constitutional Law book a footnote – the only mention given the Second Amendment – that stated Miller was the only Second Amendment case in history. As the Court did not expressly affirm absolute firearms rights therein, the 2A didn’t confer an individual right and was barely a part of the Constitution.

My reading of Miller, as poor an opinion as Scott, always led me to believe the Court had affirmed an individual right to keep and bear military-grade weaponry. The gun Miller possessed, a saw-off shotgun, was determined to be of no military value despite the use of such guns, martially, for centuries. The short-barreled shotgun has continued to see combat since – most notably perhaps in the tunnels of Vietnam.

It also struck me as interesting that people could lawfully possess weapons of war but might be precluded from possessing “ordinary” arms. If one has a right to a battlefield rifle or a machine gun, what was the harm in owning a bird gun or a .22 plinker?

shotgun-3-1245333-639x360

George Gardner.

Subsequent rulings, this Century, have definitively settled the matter though in a shaded fashion which leaves open the possibility of state meddling.

They want to meddle and they want it badly. Evidence and sound logic ever eluding them, they continue to exploit instances of misfortune and fickle public sentiments. It is a joy and a wonder that their efforts are failing as more and more people wake up. Black, white, yellow, red – all are universally entitled to universal rights, which the left hates and opposes with universal fury.

An armed society is a polite society – for everyone.

This week The Donald unveiled his VP pick – Indiana Governor Mike Pence. I really know nothing of Pence except that he is a “Tea Party” Republican, whatever that has come to mean. The people I know who support Trump and many media outlets seem okay with the choice. It is what it is.

One thing I know is that if one says “Trump Pence” together and rapidly it sounds like “trumpets”. Trumpets heralding a new age … of more of the same, I suspect.

It will be great when November comes and goes and gives us peace for a short while from this circus side-show of an election. When will they start the rush for 2020? March of next year? June? Until then, enjoy the trumpets.

American Idiots: The Mental Illness of Hoplophobia

Hoplophobia: the irrational fear of weapons or the fear of armed citizens; from Hoplon, ancient Greek for the weapons of a Hoplite, or city-state militiaman.

Don’t wanna be an American idiot.
Don’t want a nation under the new mania
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind f*ck America.

  • American Idiot, GreenDay, 2004.

Billy Joe Armstrong and the band came up with that one in response to the ridiculousness of the Bush (43) regime. It may apply to our society now more than then, especially to the hoplophobes among us. The phobes are hysterical anti-freedom bigots, steeped in arrogance, ignorance, hatred, and latent tendencies towards violence. Several recent stories illustrate this point.

Shootinjh.com.

Gersh Kuntzman is the poor wuttle journalist left with PTSD after firing an AR-15 for the first and only time. He’s at it again: The NRA is to blame for police shooting of Philando Castile by encouraging citizens to arm themselves, New York Daily “News”, July 7, 2016.

I don’t immediately blame the cops and I certainly don’t blame the victims.

I blame the gun nuts.

Gun lovers and their mouthpieces at the National Rifle Association have done more to damage police-community relations than poor cop training, racism, crime and fear could ever do.

And it’s all due to the NRA’s twisted, sick perversion of the Second Amendment from a cherished right to keep and bear arms as part of a well-regulated national defense into a call to “stand your ground” in all circumstances.

Attention, gun nuts (and that means any and all gun owners not in the service of the state): you are the problem. Everything is your fault. Then again, isn’t everything always your fault? Our fault? At this point, none really care what the deranged phobes like Kuntzman have to say about us. He’s illogical, he’s ill. But, is he consistent?

If one applied his “logic” to the murders of those police officers in Dallas, would that make the Brady Campaign and other gun control “nuts” responsible for that shooting? I’m sure Mr. Kuntzman would say “no” and that the Dallas massacre falls under damaged police-community relations – all the fault of the gun nuts.

We get it, Kuntzman doesn’t like free and armed people. He may not like girls either. At least he’s not fond of Mischa Barton. Barton went on Instagram and relayed her heartbroken feelings about the death of Alton Sterling and others. Kuntzman responded viciously:

While you’re at it, Mischa, why don’t you defecate on the American flag in the center of St. Patrick’s Cathedral during a 9/11 memorial.

Because that might be the only thing worse than actress Mischa Barton’s ham-fingered attempt to show solidarity with recent police shooting victim Alton Sterling and, by extension, Philando Castile.

You see, Barton is an attractive woman. While she expressed sympathy for victims of police violence, she did so while wearing a bikini. According to Kuntzman, that makes her no better than us gun nuts. I have no idea who Mischa Barton is but I’ll take her over the sniveling likes of Kuntzman (more gamma than beta, I’d say) any day. And she called for more gun control too!

Here's Mischa Barton's infamous Instragram post, which we grabbed before she took it down. You're welcome, America.

I guess gun control can be sexy. Daily News and Kuntzman. Thanks, G.K.

The phobia gets a lot worse than the daily new wuss. Says James Pearce, college “professor”:  “Look, there’s only one solution. A bunch of us anti-gun types are going to have to arm ourselves, storm the NRA headquarters in Fairfax, VA, and make sure there are no survivors.”

This demented savage wants to murder people in protest of murders! It’s the only solution!

I’m morbidly curious as to how such an assault would work out for Adolf Pearce and his anti-gun types. We’ll leave alone the fact that it would make them less anti-gun and more gun nut (actually, it would just make them homicidal maniacs).

Kuntzman is anti-gun and he got PTSD at the firing range. I know some of those folks in Fairfax. They carry guns and they know how to use them. They have their own PTSD range right in the office. They likely wouldn’t even have to draw down on the attackers. Pearce’s brigade would probably shoot and kill themselves in comical fashion out in the parking lot. In case it goes down, I am thankful they have good security video at NRA HQ. It’s all a bluff and bluster, I know. Pearce said as much when the cops came calling. It’s the thought that counts.

That’s what kind of thoughts these mental midgets have – violent, hateful, evil thoughts. They are the enemies of freedom … and bikinis.

Great. Now three countries are warning their citizens to avoid the U.S. or at least exercise caution when visiting us: the Bahamas, the UAE, and Bahrain.

The United States regularly issues travel warnings urging Americans to either avoid or exercise caution in countries marred by violence or political instability.

Now America is the focus of concern by foreign governments in the Middle East and Caribbean as protesters marched in U.S. cities throughout the weekend after police killed black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.

Is this how they see us? PBS/Twitter.

I wonder if it’s the violence they’re worried about or could it be the political instability. Even if everyone got along swimmingly and the police were as gentle as doves with all, we still have the Hillary/Trump thing working against us. Then again, a civilized, critically thinking, and non-violent people wouldn’t keep dredging up loser after loser for high office.

Hmmmmph….

The Dallas Aftermath: Obama’s Storm-trooper Corps?

Hussein Obama’s final term in office is winding down. America lazily awaits the next pathetic resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue – likely a Big Club, elite, insider and megalomania or, perhaps, a coughing, psychopathic, unconvicted felon.

All big politicians make grandiose promises. Trump wants to build a wall. Hillary … I’m not sure what she’s promising. Maybe to stay on this side of the prison wall? Anyway, once elected, they all do the exact same thing: more of the same. They continue to grow the size and scope of federal power while raising taxes, and/or massively increasing the debt, keep a few pointless wars going, and make sure the banksters are fat and happy.

Hussein had his list of promises. ObamaCare might be the big one though it really just falls under general government growth and a tax increase. One he hasn’t gotten around to is his previously stated desire for a national security force (vaguely stated) comparable in strength to the regular, standing military. He hasn’t really done much towards that goal – yet.

He’s been a busy man. He had a debt to grow, golf, a nation to fundamentally transform, vacations, wars to pour money and lives into, taxes and higher pay for insurance executives, the Federal Reserve cabal to appease, ISIS to fund, attack, defend, and import into the U.S., more vacations, etc. Very busy. Now, at the end, he may be ready to launch his national whatever force or at least lay the groundwork.

Obama may be a lot of things but he is NOT a Muslim. FoxNews/DailyMail.

Last night, in Poland of all places, Obama said he wanted a nationalized police force. More to the point, he wants uniform, federal standards for state and local police – the federal takeover will come later. “I want to start moving on constructive actions that are actually going to make a difference,” Obama said when asked about how he planned to take advantage of the Dallas police shootings and general civil unrest.

Obama began touting the panel’s recommendations in March 2015. The report, titled “President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing Report,” was published in May 2015.

The report urges the federal government to federalize police training and practices, via the use of federal lawsuits, grants and threats to cut federal aid. So far, Obama’s deputies have cajoled and sued more than 30 police jurisdictions to adopt federal rules in a slow-motion creation of a national police system, similar to the slow-motion creation of a federal-run health-sector via Obamacare.

Because ObamaCare worked out so well. Same number of uninsured as before but with higher taxes and higher insurance premiums (for those with insurance) and a dwindling supply of doctors. If you like your sheriff, you can keep your sheriff. I’m not sure how insurance companies and banks will profit from this; rest assured they will, otherwise it wouldn’t be happening.

Here’s the Panel Report, issued by the Department of Justice [SIC] – the people that brought you Waco and an unindicted Hillary Clinton. I don’t recommend actually reading it unless one suffers from near-terminal insomnia.

Ah, another government report on ways to help the people, especially young black people – from an agency that keeps 2 Million young black people behind bars now for selling plants. Hypocrisy at its most psychotic.

Law enforcement standards and procedures from the feds, similar to those used by the FBI and ATF. They have such a stellar record a justice, everything is bound to be just fine – Waco, Ruby Ridge, Wounded Knee, Elian Gonzales, the BLM massacre, out of control false flag manufacturing operations like the Boston Marathon and the Pulse Club, prosecuting Martha Stewart but not Hillary, and on and on. What could go wrong?!

As I said, Obama is about out of time to fully implement this scheme. Herr Hillary has expressed interest in the same though that may be from a personal desire to control the police in an effort to stay out of jail herself. Anyway, the ball is rolling now and state balls only ever grow, gathering mass and speed as they careen towards the people.

Let’s just assume you like in a town with a draconian police force. They’re out to get everyone, corrupt, and they’re really, really bad. They need to be stopped but do you really think the feds are the ones to do it? To me, going to the feds to complain about the local police is much like Br’er Rabbit running to Br’er Bear to report on Br’er Fox. The problems won’t be solved – just shifted and worsened.

Troubles from laws and law enforcement are not solved by more laws and law enforcement. Nevermind that the federal government has no authority whatsoever to do any of this – they are, in fact, prohibited. The Constitution being dead, the law really doesn’t matter anymore. They will get what they want. You and I will get the shaft. More laws, less justice.
