Stupid is as Treason Does: Republicans Plan Massive Debt Increase

Thank God for conservatives. Or not.

WASHINGTON
Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have been adamant – the federal debt is way too high and has got to be tamed fast.

Cruz, a Republican from Texas, helped lead the 2013 fight against raising the debt limit, a fight that resulted in a partial government shutdown. Rubio, a Republican from Florida, in announcing his plans for this year, said Tuesday that “one major thing that will cost us jobs and hamstring our economy is our rising debt.”

So why did they and 49 other Senate Republicans vote this week to consider a measure that says the “appropriate levels of the public debt” would rise from the current $20 trillion to $29.1 trillion in 10 years? And predict deficits of $1 trillion by the end of that period?

Because, they said, it’s the first procedural step in repealing Obamacare. And they insisted the number is meaningless.

The Concurrent Resolution of doom.

debt-monster

I agree the number is meaningless. It’s far too rosy. In 10 years the debt will likely be $45 – 50 Trillion (on books, that is). Still, these Republicans are meaningless and useless too.

One hopes Mr. Trump knows that “veto” is the “you’re fired” of legislation.

Rigging Election Rigging

Evidence mounts that the “Russian” hacking of the DNC before November’s election was an inside (non-Russian) job.

These things are nearly always inside jobs. This has “disgruntled employee” written all over it. Every whistleblower deal does. Of course, the Democrats would want to bury this one deep because it would also imply that one of their own “did the right thing” and came forward. Which would, obviously, discredit the entire campaign and candidate, to say nothing of the party itself. WikiLeaks isn’t going to say one way or the other because of confidentiality and protecting their source if they even know. Every journalist worthy of the name protects his source. But they’re not going to sit by and watch Russia get blamed wrongly, either.

It also serves the purpose of trying to hamstring Trump as he comes into office. The Democrats have shown they’re willing to start the Second Cold War in order to do this. But the primary motive is self-preservation because if the American people found out this was an inside job, they’re going to see corruption in the Democratic Party pretty much confirmed by them. Not to mention the corruption of the cover-up and then blaming a nuclear-armed nation to do so. People are then going to wonder what else they’re not being told.

Now I can’t prove this was an inside job. But I say history shows that, in both the public and private sector, whistleblowing comes from the inside nearly ten times out of ten. This wasn’t “hacking”, this was whistleblowing. Because “hacking” would have involved disabling their computers and destroying valuable documents. Not revealing things that they DID SAY which would mortally damage their campaign if made public. Let’s compare apples to apples here, not apples to grapefruit. When the United States hacked into Iran’s computers, they inserted a “worm” which wreaked havoc on their systems and destroyed large parts of it. Ok, so why was this not the case with the Democrats’ computers? No, what happened is embarrassing FACTS were revealed. That’s not “hacking”, that’s whistleblowing.

Never mind the absence of evidence of Russian involvement (no idea what the Senate is listening to as I type this). The whistleblower angle is sufficient. And the fact that the cover-uppers are more than willing to risk a war we can’t win speaks perfectly of their character (or lack thereof).

Three things should happen here:

  1. Putin’s feelings are not hurt; heck, he’s laughing about this. Still, Trump should issue an apology as part of the relationship rebuild.
  2. The whistleblower(s), once identified, should be thanked (unless they were part of the cover-up [which would make this a false flag, BTW]).
  3. The cover-up crew should be exiled to Siberia.

New Year, New War? Dangerous Aggressions

So, at the end of last year, the U.S. moved to expel Russian diplomats on the basis of some spurious allegations of election rigging. Again, the evidence and the specifics are mighty slim on that allegation. And, again, sources closet to the action say it was not Russia.

The whole thing smells funny. Almost it has the aroma of a false flag operation.

But the odor isn’t nearly as bad as what could be brewing in the Baltic region. Putin has allegedly moved increased military strength into western Russia, close to the Lithuanian and Polish borders. This matches similar recent moves by NATO.

The ever-deranged of D.C. are not happy nor content with tit for tat. They decided to escalate:

PRESIDENT Obama has deployed US special forces troops along Lithuania’s border with “aggressive” Russia.

Tensions between Washington and the Kremlin have reached Cold War levels amid reports Vladimir Putin is deploying nuke-ready missiles in the Russian province of Kaliningrad – which borders Poland, Belarus and Lithuania.

And Lithuanian Defence Ministry spokeswoman Asta Galdikaite confirmed America has offered additional military support following Russia’s annexation of Crimea.

She said: “The United States was the first to offer additional safety assurance measures to the Baltic countries following the deterioration of the security situation in the region after the annexation of the Crimea.”

She added: “US Special Operations Forces presence in Lithuania is one of the deterrents” against military threats by Putin’s aggressive regime, reports the Express.

This is somewhat akin to playing “chicken” with two powerful trains on the same track. I wonder if this was the same President Obama who once (somehow) won a peace prize. I also rather hope the new administration will ratchet back the tensions in the Baltic, Ukraine, and in Syria. Prize or not, peace would be a good thing.

I seem to recall Obama and Co. once referring to another president as a “cowboy”. Pot? Kettle? AP.

The agency which either allowed hacking of the U.S. State of Georgia or did the hacking (DHS) and the agency that stood by while the ATF sold or gifted 30,000 military weapons to Mexican drug cartels (FBI/DOJ [SIC]) have released a joint report on Russian hacking into the 2016 U.S. election.

2016: Year of the Gun

America, firearms, gun control, guns, Second Amendment

Rob Morse put together a compilation of great events for gun owners in 2016. It’s downright inspirational.

January-

-Open carry passed in Missouri. The Missouri State House and Senate overturned their governor’s veto to legalized open carry and concealed carry in schools. The new law also prevents local municipalities from passing laws banning open carry. It lowers the permit to carry age from 21 to 19, and allows specially trained school employees to carry guns while on the job. Welcome to 2016.

-Guns ownership is ordinary and growing- We reported increased gun sales in January, just as we did for every month in 2015. January was busier than January 2015, February of this year saw larger sales than February 2015.. And so on. Anti-gun lobbyists said that only a few of us were buying all those millions of guns, and that there in fact were fewer gun owners than ever before.

It turns out that the anti-gun laws passed in anti-gun states showed that claim to be a lie. Anti-rights states like Massachusetts, California and Illinois require that gun owners register every gun single gun they purchase. The number of licenses to own a gun increased in Massachusetts by 66% since 2010. Other states that register gun owners also show strong increases as well. In Illinois with their firearms owners ID card, the number increased about 75%, from a little over 1 million in 2010, to 1.8 million in 2015. Gun ownership is ordinary and growing.

February

-Gun control cities are violent. The most violent cities in the world, and the most violent cities in the U.S., all embrace gun control. US cities ranked among the 50 most dangerous. St Louis, Baltimore, and Detroit come in at numbers 15, 19, and 28.

Looking at the US cities in more detail, they are each governed by progressive Democrats. And every single one of them has been an enthusiastic member of Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Chicago deserves a dis-honorable mention. You can smell the corruption from here.

-A senior State Senator in California was arrested. This wasn’t just any California politician. Democrat Senator Leland Yee had sponsored and supported many anti-rights bill that removed the right of self-defense in California.

Senator Yee’s political career ran from being a member of the San Francisco school board, president of the school board, State Assemblyman, State Senator, and Speaker, pro-tem of the California State Senate. That made him the second most powerful person in the California Senate. Yee was named to the honor roll by the Brady Campaign to prevent gun violence.

Yee was arrested in 2014 and convicted in February 2016. Yee was charged with wire fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy to deal firearms without a license and illegally importing firearms for sale. He was sentenced to federal prison.

It turned out to be a great year for guns, gun owners, the Second Amendment, and America. 2017 looks bright as well. Oddly enough, it appears that many liberals are now adopting a “can’t beat ’em, so join ’em” attitude towards guns. They’re having fun too.

The true, ardent anti-freedom nuts are still out there and scheming. The best news is that most now see them for what they are. Happy gun year!

Repeal and Replace but Keep the Taxes (of Course)

My first substantive post here regarded Obamacare. It is as much a taxation scheme as it is a corporate welfare measure and a vote-buying apparatus.

The same worthless GOPers who didn’t stop the Act from becoming law have, for years now, blathered on about repealing and replacing it. They haven’t of course though they have had a considerable amount of time and ample evidence for the cause. One Donald J. Trump was recently elected president in small part based on his promise to amend or abolish the system. “You’re going to have the best healthcare,” he said.

114272_6001

Rick McKee.

A flat-out repeal isn’t going to happen. The free market is simply no longer an option in America. As Fred Reed recently pointed out, the dreaded socialist single-payer system is now probably cheaper and more efficient than what passes for healthcare in the U.S. That won’t happen either.

What likely will happen is more of the same communist/corporatist BS we have endured for the past 50 years. The programs may change a little but the effect will be just as it is now: lousy and expensive third-rate care. The insurance and medical cabals will continue to profit. The government will continue to justify its pointless existence. You’ll continue to pay.

And, of course, now that it comes to it, the same useless GOP is contemplating keeping the associated taxes even as they monkey with the law.

Congressional Republicans are considering holding off on repealing some of ObamaCare’s taxes, according to lobbyists familiar with the discussions.

GOP lawmakers on the House Ways and Means Committee discussed the possibility of keeping some of the taxes in place during a retreat last week at the Library of Congress, the sources say.

Even if some of the taxes are not removed as part of the initial repeal bill, it does not necessarily mean they will remain indefinitely. Some ObamaCare taxes could be dealt with as part of a larger tax reform bill later in the year.

Still, there is at least a possibility that some taxes could remain in place to provide revenue for a replacement healthcare measure.

Discussions are still in flux…

A while back, defending his embattled signature work, Obama said, “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” He was lying and he knew it. Now it’s Trump’s turn and the GOP’s. Doctors aside, I like my money. Might I keep my money?

I sometimes smirk sarcastically when the picture on the wanted poster is a previous mug shot. It seems the phenomenon is the same in Germany with international terrorists as it is in the U.S. with repeat offender criminal thugs.

BERLIN — The prime suspect sought in the deadly attack on a Berlin Christmas market — a 24-year old Tunisian migrant — was the subject of a terrorism probe in Germany earlier this year and was not deported even though his asylum bid was rejected, a senior official said Wednesday.

The suspect — who went by numerous aliases but was identified by German authorities as Anis Amri — became the subject of a national manhunt after investigators discovered a wallet with his identity documents in the truck used in Monday’s attack that left 12 dead, two law enforcement officials told The Washington Post.

Meanwhile, a clearer portrait took shape of the suspect, including accusations that he had contact with a prominent Islamic State recruiter in Germany.

German authorities issued a 100,000 euro ($105,000) reward for information leading to his capture, warning citizens not to approach the 5-foot-8, 165-pound Amri, whom they described as “violent and armed.”

His record, however, further deepened the political fallout from Monday’s bloodshed — pointing to flaws in the German deportation system and putting a harsh light on Chancellor Angela Merkel’s humanitarian bid to open the nation’s doors to nearly 1 million asylum seekers last year.

Really? You don’t say. So shocking.

If you never allow the trash in, then you don’t have to worry about getting rid of it.

More on the War Against the West

Most people are preparing for Christmas right now. They should. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Yet, it is now time to prepare for something else. Something a little more unsettling. There is a war underway for the soul of civilization. The war and Christmas crossed paths the other night in Berlin.

The search is still underway for the Tunisian “refugee” suspect in the mass lorry attack at the Berlin Christmas market. The Pakistani “refugee” suspect initially arrested, while a felon, is not connected to this particular massacre. That they know of.

  • 12 dead and 48 injured, some severely, at Berlin market
  • German police hunt Tunisian man after finding identity document
  • Suspect was investigated over earlier plot, had links to extremist preacher
  • Berlin terror attack leaves Angela Merkel isolated
  • Everything we know about suspect Anis Amri

How the German police and security service blundered over the Berlin terror outrage
A Tunisian man known wanted in connection with the deadly truck attack on a crowd at a Berlin Christmas market had been previously investigated over an earlier terror plot, a senior German official has said.

Ralf Jäger, the interior minister of North Rhine-Westphalia state, said an investigation had been launched against as Anis Amri, who was due to be deported, earlier this year on suspicion of “preparing a serious crime endangering national safety”.

He moved around Germany and lived in several places, Mr Jäger said. Since February this year he lived mostly in Berlin, but he had been back in North Rhine-Westphalia recently.

The man is aged 21 or 23 and known by three different names, according to reports in the daily Allgemeine Zeitung and the Bild newspaper.

Both said asylum office papers believed to belong to the man were found in the cab of the truck.

The documents, which announced a stay of deportation, were found under the driver’s seat of the 40-tonne lorry that barrelled through the Christmas market in the heart of the German capital.

Yet another Tunisian uses a truck to commit mass murder, 12 are dead, 50 are grieviously injured, and yet delusion continues to reign in Germany.

Reiner Haseloff, Saxony-Anhalt’s president, warned against giving in to fear following the attack. “I hope we hold our nerve,” the CDU politician said in an interview with the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung.

“The strategy of the terrorists is to fuel fear and destabilise our society. We must not allow that. We are not at war, it is something completely different, and won’t allow the war to be carried by Salafists in our country.

“There is an attempt to bring unrest in our healthy and democratic society. This effect must not develop.”

You are at war, moron. As you sneakily admit, the Salafists (Sunnis) are at war with you. You’re just not fighting back yet. This foolish sentiment pervades social media:

A defiant post on Facebook insisting Berliners are not afraid of terorrism has gone viral. The post, couched in typical Berliner humour, has been shared more than 8,000 times and liked more than 26,000 times:

Here is a rough English translation:

Watch out, you extremist nutcases: This is Berlin. We are Berlin. We ride the S-Bahn in the rush hour. We complain when people are friendly to us. Our taxi drivers are more dangerous than any converts. We grumble at the supermarket. We believe that Union [FC Union Berlin football team] will get promotion and Hertha [Hertha Berlin football team] will be in the Champions League. We eat kebabs and raw fish – at a price that guarantees that there is neither fish nor meat in them. Schultheiss [an old word for mayor, also a local brand of beer in Berlin] is a beer here. And Sternburg! And we love our children like crazy, even if they are lactose-intolerant. Whatever that is. We have nine months of winter and we go straight to work from partying. Some of us are Turks. Or Russians. Or Americans. Pakistanis too Or even Baden-Württembergers [people from a southern German state traditionally seen as very different from Berliners]. Scared of you?! Dream on, Pussies! You can look us up!

This isn’t defiance. It is delusional. It sounds like the chest beating of a drunken American football fan. And it completely dodges the hard facts of this invasion and war. Turks are Berliners? How about Tunisians? Syrians? Insanity.

War is war whether it’s tanks or trucks.

This IS War; They Hate Christians

The Salafists are at war with the West. And they hate us.

The Eritrean woman, 39, worked in several refugee centres across Germany and found fellow translators were part of the problem.

Talking to Catholic website Kath.net, she said they ‘show their true colours’ when Christians are out of ear-shot and they have a Muslim-only audience.

‘They want Germany to be Islamised. They despise our country and our values,’ she said.

She had arrived herself as a refugee in 1991, and has volunteered in asylum centres for five years to ‘give something back’.

After unearthing the worrying findings, she headed to the mosques to find out more.
Germany has been rocked by terror attacks this year, heaping pressure on chancellor Angela Merkel’s open-door immigration policy

Germany has been rocked by terror attacks this year, heaping pressure on chancellor Angela Merkel’s open-door immigration policy. ‘Pure hatred against non-believers is preached, and children are brought here from an early age here in Germany,’ she told Kath.net.

‘It’s very similar in asylum housing, where Muslim boys refuse to play with Christians.
‘Some women told me “We will multiply our numbers. We must have more children than the Christians because it’s the only way we can destroy them here“.

In an attempt to quell these feelings, she was told helping and defending Christians is a sin.

Germany has been rocked by terror attacks this year, heaping pressure on chancellor Angela Merkel’s open-door immigration policy.

The savages have to go. Merkel has to go. All those who side with the enemies of civilization have to go.

America is a little behind the European curve though the Obama administration and its globalist allies have worked round the clock and calendar to change that. The U.S. must accept more Syrians, more Somalis, more Afghanis, and, above all else, more Tunisian truck drivers.

It’s not that our “leaders” don’t grasp what they’re doing. They do. The problem is that they are doing it intentionally. It is their ultimate goal to destroy the West and Christendom. They get it because they are it. Their sad followers on the left simply do not what is happening.

Ivan Throne does, recognizing the war for what it is.

The people of the West have seen the horrific and murderous insanity of cruel invaders armed with battle rifles and explosives, butchering their way through theaters and schools and leaving behind a grotesque tapestry of blood and screaming cries to Allah.

The people of the West have seen their buildings driven into the ground in a rain of bodies and fire, the heart of our cities torn out and destroyed with foul and hideously indiscriminate murder by their mortal and terrible enemies.

The people of the West have seen the forbidding and malevolent evil of the soldiers of Islam beheading multitudes of martyrs on the beach, and aiming bloody knives at the heart of Rome while declaring that blood will run in the streets of the holy city.

The people of the West have seen children detonated with bombs and excruciatingly rutted to death by the befouled, savage followers of Mohammed. And today those legions of rapacious ideological sadists rampage unopposed through the streets of the ancient cities of the Rhine.

If you do not believe war is here today, you are blind.

If you refuse to accept that this war is existential for the West, you will die.

Your culture will be destroyed and your tolerance will be an emasculating, embracing clasp of the remorseless and deliberate rapist.

There is no coexistence with the murderer.

There is no negotiation with the savage invader.

There is no appeasement of the insane butcher.

There is no reformation in Islam.

Leadership of the West has lost authority.

Ivan, we have here hordes of the foolish blind. And their large numbers are dwarfed by those whose heads are firmly planted in the sand.

Still, some awaken. Are you among them? Where do you stand? Do you stand? It is now time to decide.

Trump Wins Electoral Vote

So much for the attempted Electoral coup. Trump did indeed lose two votes, a little short of the 37 needed to toss the election to Congress. Clinton lost four. Trump crossed the 270 threshold earlier this evening in Texas. A recording with the Archives and the President of the Senate in now a final formality; certification in Congress will follow.

Donald Trump officially crossed the line to 270 electoral votes with electors in Texas casting a ballot for the Republican shortly before 5:30 p.m. EST.

Calls for Trump to be voted down by members of the Electoral College were roundly ignored on Monday – with only two ‘faithless’ Republican electors rejecting the president-elect and four deserting Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Several more electors tried to ditch the Democratic loser, in an effort to pressure Republicans into doing the same and selecting a more moderate GOP president.
Trump applauded his victory when that scheme didn’t work and flaunted it in front of the media.

‘Today marks a historic electoral landslide victory in our nation’s democracy,’ he said in a statement to reporters. ‘I thank the American people for their overwhelming vote to elect me as their next President of the United States.’

‘The official votes cast by the Electoral College exceeded the 270 required to secure the presidency by a very large margin, far greater than ever anticipated by the media,’ he added.

Congress will certify the Electoral College vote on January 6 and Trump will be sworn in on January 20.

The President: Election Day 2016

America, Congress, election, government, politics, President

Today 538 Americans decide who becomes America’s 45th President. Following your suggestions last month, he should be Donald Trump. We should know the results soon. And the election should be certified by the end of the month.

Hillary and the Democrat Party elite, along with the GOP elite, and the B-listers of Hollywood have tried to stage a coup. Emails, letters, videos, and death threats have been employed in an attempt to sway Electors to not vote for Trump, even if bound so by law. So far they’ve only reached the mind of Chris Suprun, compromised patron of Ashley Madison.

download

Suprun, Elector of conscious, dubious 9/11 “hero” and bankrupt philanderer. Politico.

To be successful, the elites need 37 Electors to jump ship. Then, the election would move to Congress, much as it was under the Articles. There, one of two things would happen before January 20th. Either the members would follow you and the presumed E.C. majority and elect Trump. Or, they would pick a GOP elite, like Jeb Bush, and commence America’s second Civil War. Kind of gives new meaning to “vote or die”, eh?

We’ll know the outcome shortly. Happy election day!
