Remember Operation Northwoods Nine-Eleven? PATRIOT Act? DHS? Ring a bell? Remember the rally cry, “If we don’t fight the *checks notes* middle-aged pro-life advocates over there, we’ll have to fight ’em over here!”

The Department of Homeland Security listed pro-life mothers as potential “radicalization suspects” in a violence prevention training guide just days after President Biden took office, documents obtained by a conservative legal watchdog show.

DHS’s Office of Terrorism and Violence lists profiles of various domestic extremists in an internal memo dated Jan. 29, 2021 — including a “middle-aged pro-life advocate” — and asks participants to make “real-life decisions” to confront each.

Move aside, TLM Catholics and Mr. Parent speaking to the school board. We have a new face of terrorism in this fakest, gayest empire since the Lots left town. And notice that, as it started just after Brandon was doped and propped up, it obviously had been in the planning stages before. It’s almost like there’s a deep state controlling DC independent of the pols. 2033 can’t get here fast enough.

We have freedom fries, not the Stasi.

Under the domestic-intelligence program, officials are allowed to seek interviews with just about anyone in the United States. That includes people held in immigrant detention centers, local jails, and federal prison. DHS’s intelligence professionals have to say they’re conducting intelligence interviews, and they have to tell the people they seek to interview that their participation is voluntary. But the fact that they’re allowed to go directly to incarcerated people — circumventing their lawyers — raises important civil liberties concerns, according to legal experts.

Okay, so we have a Stasi. We still have freedom fries. They’re not free, but at least we have constant spying on us everywhere we go. All perfectly illegal, so don’t worry.

Previously, a real leader could have used some of the same policies set in motion by wicked communists like Duhbya to end this tyranny. We had no such leader. Thus all we can do is ride out the storm of the final days and years of the dying GAE. Just beware in doing so that “they” are in fact watching and listening.

[One of many] Privacy Risk[s]: There is a risk that biometrics CBP uses to verify the identities of individuals and to determine whether to refer travelers for additional customs and immigration inspection in the Global Entry Program will be used for a purpose inconsistent with the purpose of the original collection.

When do government programs ever stick with their original purposes?

Except they probably won’t say please. Here’s how it will work: millions of illegals come and go, at will and with no questions, documents, or obstruction; on the other hand, you, usury serf, shall jump through burning hoops only to present the mark of the beast.

The Trump administration intends to propose a regulation next year that would require all travelers – including U.S. citizens – to be photographed when entering or leaving the United States, according to the administration’s regulatory agenda.

The proposed regulation, slated to be issued in July by the Homeland Security Department, would be part of a broader system to track travelers as they enter and exit the United States.

The plan has already drawn opposition from some privacy advocates. Jay Stanley, a senior policy analyst with the American Civil Liberties Union, blasted the idea in a written statement on Monday.

“Travelers, including U.S. citizens, should not have to submit to invasive biometric scans simply as a condition of exercising their constitutional right to travel,” he said.

The Trump administration contends in its regulatory agenda that the face scan requirement will combat the fraudulent use of U.S. travel documents and aid the identification of criminals and suspected terrorists.

Will no brave federal judge in Hawaii step forward and enjoin this madness? No. Go ahead and leave your CFR comments. Maybe vote or something.

UPDATE: You’ll be scanned. Incoming terrorists, grifters, and nation-wreckers won’t even have their Faceberg or Twit checked. After all, if the MS-13ers can’t locate their former victims in the new, free-range Amerika, what’s the point in coming? (And, that VA county might as well be yours, BTW).

Did We Make the List?

DHS to monitor the media:

The Department of Homeland Security sparked concerns among media circles after news spread that the agency was creating an online database to monitor journalists, bloggers, social media influencers and others.

Word got out after Bloomberg Government surfaced a job posting from DHS seeking a contractor for a “media monitoring services” project. The job entails creating a searchable database that has the ability to track about 290,000 news sources, both foreign and domestic, according to the DHS’s statement of work.

The contractor will help DHS monitor “traditional news sources as well as social media, identify any and all media coverage related to the Department of Homeland Security or a particular event,” the job description reads.

“Services shall provide media comparison tools, design and rebranding tools, communication tools, and the ability to identify top media influencers.”

I’m not sure where this “highly respected web log” would fall on a list of 290,000 outlets. No lower than 291,305 I should think.

An astute member of the media brought this to my attention, seeking my opinion. And … as worrying as this might be I just can’t bring myself to worry about it. There’s already terrific monitoring going on – from the feds and elsewhere.

I suppose it would be an honor to be considered an “influencer” – right up until the time they link the list to the drone system or something.

One, giving the old Constitution an honest read, finds something about a right of and to the free press but nothing about government authority to monitor the same. That’s the real rebranding.

Of note though, DHS’s press secretary tweeted:

Twitter Twit.

Which is basically what they said in the 90’s about Echelon and Carnivore (post initial denials, of course). That means the hype is true and should be worrisome. Still can’t worry here and no once else will likely even notice.

The agency which either allowed hacking of the U.S. State of Georgia or did the hacking (DHS) and the agency that stood by while the ATF sold or gifted 30,000 military weapons to Mexican drug cartels (FBI/DOJ [SIC]) have released a joint report on Russian hacking into the 2016 U.S. election.

Georgia / DHS Hack Attack: Could Have Been Br’er Fox

The news snuck up and bit me whilst I Christmas shopped.

The other day I mentioned the DHS attempted breach of the Georgia Secretary of State’s computer system. I said it was interesting. And the interest grows.

DHS, I read somewhere, initially issued a blanket denial. There were some potentially plausible explanations for the intrusion. But the denial didn’t really set off any alarms. Agencies blanket deny just about everything up front. If it goes away, good for them. If not, then they come up with some line of reasoning. Here’s the interesting part:

The feds have come up with two plausible explanations and they have done so rapidly. One is that some nefarious third-party hacker “mirrored” their IP address to launch a covert attack. I’ve heard of things like that. It makes sense.

However, they seem to put more emphasis on the second theory: hacking by a rogue DHS agent. That they’ve admitted this is even a possibility means they either knew something beforehand or they were concerned about a mole. Who could this rogue be?

I know government employees get bored. But no-one will be so bored as to resort to trying to break into another government computer system. There’s gambling, and porn, and Facebook if things get that bad. Only a lunatic would want to sneak a peek at any SOS site. That, or someone with a criminal agenda – and really good cover. Again, who?

CNN, the WaPo, and the DNC are blaming the Russians for everything under the sun right now. Could it have been Moscow? Maybe. But not likely. I would first suspect corporate espionage before the Russians. Brian Kemp’s site has a lot of company and professional data as he mentioned in his letter to Jeh Johnson. Still, that doesn’t seem plausible either.

More so than business information, the site hosts tons of personal citizen data. I would lean towards an attempted identity theft ring. Those things are out there and they sometimes pay odd people – even trusted government security types – to steal raw data for them. It’s possible. Yet, something else keeps hinting away in my brain. Who else would want a lot of private information about where Georgians live and so forth?

Br’er Mohamed? The jihadis are working overtime trying to attack the West. And they seem to specialize in new and innovative approaches. Often, 7th century slander aside, they go the sophisticated, high-tech route. We know they’ve done data mining before. They’ve published “hit lists” of thousands of names, backed up by detailed information.

A computer screenshot shows the U.S. Central Command Twitter feed after it was apparently hacked by people claiming to be Islamic State sympathizers

They’ve done major government site hacking before. Newsweek / ISIS / Twitter.

A successful breach – and this one failed (as far as we’re told) – would have yielded over 6 million identities. That’s a lot to work through. But, whatever else the terrorists are, they are industrious. They could have started building a super list. Maybe a list for targeted assassinations? Who knows. It might not even be them.

DHS and Georgia are both investigating. If it was indeed a third-party, we will likely never know the identity. Hackers are superb at hiding. If it was a rogue, they’ll find him. Unless he flees the country. And, then, where he flees might shed light on his motives. Saudi Arabia? Yemen? Pakistan?

All of this is developing, of course. Perhaps the most alarming aspect is that, whatever this was and however it happened, it came from the very federal agency which was allegedly custom crafted a few years ago to fight just this sort of activity. Fight it, not foment it. There was a reason Ron Paul called publicly for abolishing DHS. Remember that?

Ah, well – a mystery…
