Parents of children left adrift in the public schools face illegal threats to their parental rights.

A Pennsylvania school district is warning that children could end up in foster care if their parents do not pay overdue school lunch bills.

The letters sent recently to about 1,000 parents in Wyoming Valley West School District have led to complaints from parents and a stern rebuke from Luzerne County child welfare authorities.

The district says that it is trying to collect more than $20,000, and that other methods to get parents to pay have not been successful. Four parents owe at least $450 apiece.

Government schools = child abuse = destruction of families. However, this does not compare to the plans a few of the usual Satanists have for children (literally, for the children):

The best way to fix the U.S. armed forces’ recruiting challenges may involve dipping further into the nation’s high schools.

As the Army, Navy and other services contend with a thriving economy and a directive to expand their ranks, there is a growing debate over whether the military should consider lowering the minimum enlistment age from 17 to 16. More than a dozen countries, including the United Kingdom, already have adopted the policy.

Yes, take actual minor children, without the blemish of criminal records, and install them in the most criminally corrupt machine on Earth. Government schools = dyscivilizational child abuse.

Guns in School: a Mark of Civilized Society

guns, schools, society, Walter Williams

Dr. Walter Williams and many others have written about this very subject before. It bears repeating.

Here’s a suggestion. How about setting up some high school rifle clubs? Students would bring their own rifles to school, store them with the team coach and, after classes, collect them for practice. You say: “Williams, you must be crazy! To prevent gun violence, we must do all we can to keep guns out of the hands of kids.”

There’s a problem with this reasoning. Prior to the 1960s, many public high schools had shooting clubs. In New York City, shooting clubs were started at Boys, Curtis, Commercial, Manual Training and Stuyvesant high schools. Students carried their rifles to school on the subway and turned them over to their homeroom or gym teacher. Rifles were retrieved after school for target practice. In some rural areas across the nation, there was a long tradition of high school students hunting before classes and storing their rifles in the trunks of their cars, parked on school grounds, during the school day.

High school rifles: more elegant weapons from a more civilized age. No changes whatsoever…

decline, education, New York, schools, Walter Williams

Walter Williams questions the decline of black academic culture in New York City.

It’s taken as axiomatic that the relatively few blacks admitted to these high-powered schools is somehow tied to racial discrimination. In a June 2, 2018 “Chalkbeat” article (https://tinyurl.com/y64delc3), de Blasio writes: “The problem is clear. Eight of our most renowned high schools — including Stuyvesant High School, Bronx High School of Science and Brooklyn Technical High School — rely on a single, high-stakes exam. The Specialized High School Admissions Test isn’t just flawed — it’s a roadblock to justice, progress and academic excellence.”

Let’s look at a bit of history to raise some questions about the mayor’s diversity hypothesis. Dr. Thomas Sowell provides some interesting statistics about Stuyvesant High School in his book “Wealth, Poverty and Politics.” He reports that, “In 1938, the proportion of blacks attending Stuyvesant High School, a specialized school, was almost as high as the proportion of blacks in the population of New York City.” Since then, it has spiraled downward. In 1979, blacks were 12.9% of students at Stuyvesant, falling to 4.8% in 1995. By 2012, The New York Times reported that blacks were 1.2% of the student body.

What explains the decline?

He is, as usual, on to something. However, I sense the presence of a scheme (within a scheme) along the lines of the Asian Students v. Harvard case. At any rate, this is another great advertisement for homeschooling.

I rail and rant against the “public” schools and with good reason. However, fair is fair, and sometimes things go awry at nonpareil private schools. Drama a Sidwell:

School officials have repeatedly warned parents, who represent the pinnacle of elite Washington, about their offensive conduct. In January, the head of the school, Bryan Garman, sent a remarkable letter to parents of seniors in which he demanded that they stop “the verbal assault of employees.” He also reiterated a policy banning them from recording conversations with counselors and making calls to counselors from blocked phone numbers. Garman also suggested that some parents were responsible for the “circulation of rumors about students.”

Anger, vitriol, and deceptiveness have come to define highly selective college admissions. In the now notorious Varsity Blues scandal, the desire from wealthy parents to get their children into such elite institutions as Yale and the University of Southern California led them to lie on applications and obtain fake SAT scores. At Sidwell Friends, one of America’s most famous Quaker schools, the desire manifested itself in bad behaviors—including parents spreading rumors about other students, ostensibly so that their children could get a leg up, the letter said.

Why the desperation?

This is not a tactic endorsement but, rather, a recommendation for a little reading. I’m nominally aware of the Spotted Toad and his career. I owe my knowledge of his new book to Steve Sailer.

While Toad abstains from citing data in his new self-published book, his Thoreauvian reminiscences are informed by the latest findings on genes and IQ, which makes for a subtle and unusual literary combination. Most schoolteachers would rather not think about 21st-century intelligence science, but Spotted Toad can’t ever stop thinking.

The book is 13 Ways of Going on a Field Trip: Stories about Teaching and Learning. It’s $.99 on Kindle, $4.44 for the paperback. Have a look, if you will; I have not read it yet.

It’s about teaching, anecdotes more than statistics. I’m sensing entertainment with a greater message. I understand that it stems from one of the great education fads of this century – Teach for America. A 5-star Amazon review:

Fascinating stories of what a young teacher encountered in New York City schools, mixed in with reflections drawn from the teacher’s own youth and experiences and from his reading. All in all (as my daughter’s fifth grade teacher used to tell the class to end their 3 or 5 paragraph essays), a wonderful read.

Hop … on over.

Vox Day on the further slide – if that’s possible – of what passes for education in Minnesota:

Forget the issue of prayer in the public schools. Conservatives can’t even keep perverts, Planned Parenthood, and pedos out of them:

On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, Minnesota House Democrats voted in favor of including pornography and sexual perversions as part of the Minnesota House Education Omnibus Bill, HF2400.

The Minnesota Child Protection League (CPL) tried to warn parents and stakeholders to call their legislators to urge them to remove Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) from the 258-page House Education Omnibus bill HF2400 before it was debated on last Tuesday. Of course, the bill was debated two days after Easter Sunday, when parents were distracted and just getting the kiddos back to school after the holiday.

Planned Parenthood will provide the CSE curriculum for Minnesota public schools and has lobbied hard for this legislation. The Guttmacher Institute, which was started in 1968 as a part of Planned Parenthood, is expected to be developing the state model policy, according to StopCSE.org, a website to educate parents on the harmful effects of CSE.

At the center of the CSE curriculum debate is a book called, “It’s Perfectly Normal” which is endorsed by Planned Parenthood and boasts of “more than one million copies in print”. The book contains explicit drawings of the male and female anatomy and covers such topics as vaginal, oral and anal sex, homosexuality and abortion which will be taught to elementary students as part of CSE. “It’s Perfectly Normal” was written in 1995 by Robie Harris, who was a member of Planned Parenthood’s National Board of Advocates. A new edition of the book states it is “updated for the 21st century” on the cover.

Notice the inevitable equalitarian propaganda in the “educational” pictures. The lesson, as always, is this: homeschool or die.

Propaganda is all that’s left. Odds are, if it’s not in pictures, then the kids won’t get it. Rotten to the common core.

A California (of course) high school brags about defeating the potential censorship of a student news article.

The article profiles a student, Caitlin Fink, who sells nude photos of herself, is a member of an erotic video website, has signed a contract with a porn agency, and aspires to be a stripper.

The paper’s adviser, English teacher Kathi Duffel, had accused district officials of censorship after they demanded to review and approve the article before publication. In an April 11 letter, district Superintendent Cathy Nichols-Washer warned of possible discipline, “up to and including dismissal” if she refused.

Duffel refused on free speech grounds, and officials in the San Joaquin Valley district, which has about 31,500 students, agreed to let an attorney review the story. Matthew Cate, who represents Duffel and the student who wrote the article, concluded that the story didn’t violate education codes.

The article is HERE. (Note the rainbow on her shirt in the picture – certainly something to do with Genesis).

There really can’t be an education code to violate, can there? Public schools now equal child pornography.

Some suspicions and observations:

Seen God lately at a CA school? No;

The student has been abused (for a while) – in more ways than one;

Worse abuse is coming, for her and for larger society;

This started before she turned 18;

No men, no men, no men;

Fire is needed, badly;

The people behind this are actively trolling other schools for other victims – and finding them (WATCH YOUR CHILDREN!!!);

Love is not necessarily Love; and

Why not name the (((agent))) in the article?

The culture lies in absolute, flaming ruin but … muh free speech…

One school wages war on Washington:

“At its conclusion the group voted and the majority recommended that the ‘Life of Washington’ mural be archived and removed because the mural does not represent SFUSD values,” Dudnick’s email to The Fix continued, adding that the group considered the legacy of the artist when deciding whether or not to keep the mural up.

What are those values? Sodomy and usury?

Another attacks Jefferson:

Students at Hofstra University protested a statue of Thomas Jefferson on Friday at the second annual event, titled “Jefferson Has Gotta Go!”

The statue has been the center of controversy on the campus and has been defaced with “DECOLONIZE” and “Black Lives Matter” signs and stickers. According to a media advisory sent by the Jefferson Has Gotta Go (JGG) campaign, the protest was held at Hofstra Breslin Hall. Organizers included “students of Hofstra University, staff from Planned Parenthood of Nassau County, and supporters of Hempstead community.”

In a related story, a bust of John Adams said it was worried about “being next.”

Dear East Asians, these savages hate civilization period. Sun Tzu and Confucius may be next (after Adams and, presumably, Jackson).

From today’s TPC:

Dear Tallahassee: The Second Amendment Requires No “Guardian”

Legislative sessions continue to confirm many uncomfortable truths. One is that people are just plain stupid. Another is what Cicero said (just a few years back): “The more laws, the less justice.”

Case in point: the Second Amendment runs all of twenty-six words – plain, simple, so unambiguous a Supreme Court Lackey can almost understand it. That was then, in 1791. Today, on or about May 1, 2019, the sad, slow legislature of the great, humid State of Florida* gave us House Bill 7093 (2019), the “Armed Teachers Act.” (As of my typing time, it is assumed that Governor What’s-His-Guy will sign it into immediate lawful effect). It’s some 42 pages, around 9,000 words. The verbose, the numerological, and the pedantic, especially those Freudianly obsessed with “Incorporation,” must be ecstatic with both the law and with my take. It’s 350 times the law!!!
I know, as a right-winger and a gun nut I’m supposed to be happy that brave “Guardians” will be armed and patrolling the Sunshine State schools to protect them youngins. So sorry (not really), but I just don’t feel warm and fuzzy about this overwrought piece of official toilet paper.
Read all about the excitement of it from The Miami Herald. It’s a good article but it’s full of quotes from politi-critters. Those, I tend to “hear” more than I read. Honestly, they all sound like lound, angry rats scrambling up a gravelly embankment to escape a sex orgy of leeches and coyotes. [Threw up a little in my mouth just thinking of it].
For now we shall leave the demographic and practical political angles alone beyond a few points tangential to the following, to wit:

California’s FAIR (GAME) Act Targets Children

This is fitting for the Amerikan version of Sodom and Gomorrah. Another great reason to homeschool.

California’s FAIR Education Act, passed in 2011, mandates that school textbooks and curricula be more inclusive of historically underrepresented communities, including those with disabilities, from various religious backgrounds, and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The district’s chosen curriculum, Studies Weekly, complies with the FAIR Education Act — also referred to as the LGBT History Bill. The bill, SB 48, is often met with debate when implemented at the school district level.

The district spent a year piloting several units of the the new curriculum, introducing it to 35 teachers in the majority of the district’s schools, said deputy superintendent Kathleen Pon.

“All students should be able to see a role model in their textbook, and say, ‘A person like me did something great, and I can do something great too,’” said Whitney High School student Michael Whiteside.

But nearly 1,000 Rocklin residents signed a petition asking the district to delay the decision to adopt a new curriculum, because they said elementary students were too young to understand sexual orientation.

There’s a reason these creatures want open access to your children; they’re not even hiding it anymore. Make like Lot and leave.
