Background Checks Like We’ve Never Had Before

Let me tell you. Yuge.

President Donald Trump endorsed an expansion of background checks for U.S. gun buyers following the massacres in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, but said there’s “no political appetite” to renew a ban on military-style rifles.

“I’m looking to do background checks,” Trump told reporters as he departed the White House on Wednesday to visit the two violence-stricken cities. “I think background checks are important.”

While he said there’s not enough support in Congress to re-enact what was commonly known as the assault weapons ban, which expired in 2004, he indicated he would discuss the idea with lawmakers. “I will certainly bring that up,” he said.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has refused so far to allow a vote on House-passed legislation that would expand background checks and hasn’t indicated whether he’s reconsidering after the shootings, which killed at least 31 people.

“I think we can bring up background checks like we’ve never had before,” Trump said.

I have a suggestion like we’ve never had before: two steps for a check. First, check and see if the Second Amendment is still there. It is, so on to step two – is the gun customer an “American” pursuant to the definition at or around the time the 2A was ratified. If so, proceed with the sale. If not, deport.

Okay. Here goes: Wait until it’s M777s.

No need to link to it, as the story keeps shifting in the breeze, but there’s been a shooting at a Texas Walmart.

I see a violent civil war approaching and unstoppably so. Just thought I say something.

But, hey! REAL news! NFL preseason kicks off next week, baby!

California, gun control, shit stupid

All you have to do is ban certain stocks and “clips” and crime magically disappears. Or, if it doesn’t, just blame it on a book no-one has ever heard of.

Turcan said he didn’t see much of Santino Legan — the boy didn’t box or train in martial arts. The teen’s grandfather, who died last year, was a former Santa Clara County supervisor who was accused and acquitted of molesting his daughter in 1982.

“That family is a good family, really respectful, really hardworking,” Turcan said. “I don’t know where this comes from. It’s shocking, just shocking.”

As of late Monday, police were “no closer” to determining whether there was a second person involved in the shooting, Gilroy Police Chief Scot Smithee said.

“Everyone wants to know the answer: Why?” Smithee said. “If there’s any affiliation with other people, or groups of people, that could potentially pose a threat in the future, that all plays in.”

Of course, he didn’t box or do anything physical. He just stewed in his low-IQ mental illness amidst a dead culture of social media lunacy. Had to be the stock and “clips.” Better ban those…

The Gilroy Garlic Festival.

“We were just leaving and we saw a guy with a bandanna wrapped around his leg because he got shot. And there were people on the ground, crying,” Reyes said. “There was a little kid hurt on the ground. People were throwing tables and cutting fences to get out.”

“Really angry.”

“Stunned”

“Thought it was firecrackers”

The shooter had to cut his way in and victims had to cut their way out. Avoid any area or activity where YOU can’t carry a gun. And, watch (if you can) the official story change.

civil disobedience, false flag, gun control, New Zealand

The Christchurch false flag gun grab isn’t going as planned. A while back I presented some numbers about total firearms in NZ and the number expected to be confiscated by the tyrannically-leaning PM. Those latter numbered guns, I’m going to – without checking – estimate as either ” a lot” or around 100,000, give or take. In summation, it ain’t working out so well for Mrs. PM Grabber.

If you want to know how to beat gun control, look no further than New Zealand. Noncompliance with the new mandatory gun buyback law is kneecapping the government’s ability to enforce the law they wrote.

As of last week, only 700 weapons have been turned over to New Zealand’s government under new gun control laws written in haste in the wake of a mass shooting at Christchurch mosques. There are an estimated 1.5 million guns—with an unknown number subject to the new prohibition on semiautomatic firearms—in the country overall.

SHTFPlan mentioned the fact that Kiwis were disobeying the law, and things have still now changed. Gun owners in New Zealand have all but officially nullified the law by ignoring it.

And once again, it bears pointing out that responding to a horrendous crime by inflicting knee-jerk, authoritarian restrictions on innocent people proves to be an ineffective means of convincing people to obey the state.

Good on the Kiwis! Keep the guns. Confiscate the government.

AR-15, firearms, gun control

You don’t need a military-grade assault weapon nor any “high” capacity magazines. Pay no attention to this story:

A homeowner with an AR-15 killed two of four intrusion suspects Wednesday night, one of whom was wearing a “Jason” mask.

The Ocala Star Banner reports that four suspects allegedly targeted the home. Two of the suspects, 22-year-old Nigel Doyle and 21-year-old Keith Jackson Jr, were killed when the homeowner opened fire. Guns were found near the bodies of both men.

Two other suspects, 19-year-old Robert John Hamilton and 22-year-old Seth Adam Rodriguez, were apprehended by responding deputies. Rodriguez was “arrested on charges of murder and home invasion robbery with a firearm. Hamilton faces home invasion robbery with a firearm.”

The vibrancy of the new Amerika. Ah. Thirty-caliber and he might have gone four for four…

Considering that we have mobs, domestic and foreign, roving now and numbering in the hundreds, maybe it’s time to upgrade to belt-fed weapons or flamethrowers.

I haven’t watched any of the Democratic circuses on television and I don’t plan to start. In fact, I so unconcerned, that I haven’t even looked at any transcripts. What’s the point? But, I do understand, maybe Tulsi Gabbard aside, every one of the Donkey candidates wants to give away heaping truckloads of “free” stuff to just about anyone they can find. Surfer Girl was right to stay out of that idiocy last night.

The Parkland school shooting and the aftermath are back in the news. Instead of more gun control, maybe we need more police control?

TPC is back from the annual summer getaway and a SUPER POST is heralded for Sunday. I said I might participate in that. And, I might. Maybe. That, or I’ll just concentrate on next week’s column – for which I have several ideas. One is of the political variety and something I’ve been holding back. “Independence” Day week might be a good time to unleash. Or, there’s a new short historical fiction piece I just totally made up out thin air. No idea where it came from, but I think it hits some buttons. It’s completely unrelated to any other fiction I’ve done, so I did add in Tom Ironsides, before and after, as a bookend set. The story is in no way related (directly) to his work, nor mine with him.

Blah, blah, blah. Happy Friday. – P

A terrible tragedy with … different coverage.

A longtime city employee shot and killed 12 people and injured at least four others after opening fire Friday afternoon in the public works building, making it the country’s deadliest mass shooting this year.

Police said officers killed the man, identified Saturday morning as DeWayne Craddock, a long-time engineer with the city, after he fired at them in the city’s scenic Municipal Center in Princess Anne, a campus of about 30 brick Colonial-style buildings.

Strange, but I have heard of no mainstream outlet blame this crime on “white nationalists,” the alt-right, or Trump. Very strange.

To walk out on insulting political trash. Just what these kids in CO did during a vigil, allegedly for the victims of the recent Satanic, gay-tranny, hate crime and shooting spree.

Colorado students walked out of an event billed as a vigil for Kendrick Castillo, an 18-year-old killed in a shooting at his school on Tuesday, when prominent speakers attempted to turn it into a rally for gun control. Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colorado) and Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colorado) each took a turn calling for gun control at the Douglas County event before students streamed out in protest.

Two students at STEM Highlands Ranch, a K-12 charter school focused on science, technology, engineering, and math, shot nine students, one fatally. The accused students, who were arrested, are an adult male and a juvenile female who identifies as male. The accused male had written anti-Christian social media messages. He drove a car with a pentagram spray-painted on the hood, as well as other [Satanic] graffiti…

In response to the shooting, a public vigil was announced at another local public high school: Highlands Ranch High School. It was sponsored by the gun control groups Brady’s Team Enough and March for Our Lives and featured Democratic politicians who seek limits on Second Amendment gun rights, but was billed instead as an event to remember and honor Castillo and other victims. As the politicians called for gun control, students left in protest over the politicization of the deaths and injuries.

You were just supposed to be there as pawns, children. The shithead pols care nothing about you nor your deceased hero friend. Good on all of them! Parents and other adults (if any): vote this garbage out of office and run them out of the State.

Cory Booker, deport his ass, enemy combatants, gun control

Please deport this enemy combatant before he has the chance to act.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), who recently promised to “bring a fight to the NRA like they have never ever seen before,” on Monday morning introduced a sweeping gun-violence prevention plan that centers around a national gun-licensing program, the most comprehensive and far-reaching of any candidate in the Democratic presidential field.

“My plan to address gun violence is simple—we will make it harder for people who should not have a gun to get one,” Booker said in a statement, pledging to take executive action on the first day of his desired presidency.

“As president, we will make commonsense changes to our gun laws such as requiring a license to purchase a gun that includes universal background checks, banning assault weapons, and closing the loopholes that allow domestic abusers and people on terrorist watch lists to get their hands on a gun,” he continued. “I am sick and tired of hearing thoughts and prayers for the communities that have been shattered by gun violence—it is time for bold action.”

It is time for bold action. Mr. Trump, get his ass outta here. He’s fired. It’s bold but there is a precedent. Use it. I hear Canada is a good dumping ground.
