Easier if never goes on.

Eric Peters recounts the Corona-ified tale of a private school teacher who was dismissed because he refused to bow to the mask.

A teacher recently lost his job for refusing to Face Diaper as ordered by the Sickness Psychotics who run the school where he works. And for refusing to abide the Face Diapering of the kids in his school. As he put it in a letter, his job was to “teach, not terrorize” the kids in his care.

Which is precisely what it is to force kids to walk around with a Face Diaper on. Unlike adults, who can understand the sickness of this “pandemic” of manufactured hysteria, kids – the elementary school-age kids this man taught – are especially vulnerable to psychological damage caused by making them believe everyone’s going to die by making everyone wear a Face Diaper and thus live in terror of everyone.

This teacher refused to go along with it.

After his dismissal, this man was contacted by several parents disgusted by the treatment he received but who admired his taking a stand for himself, on principle – and for the sake of their kids. They pulled their kids out of school and will now homeschool – to be taught by this same teacher, Undiapered and unafraid. Their kids will not be Diapered or made afraid, either.

This was at a Montessori school too. The fear is everywhere. But, the parents, some of them, did the right thing. It’s funny, as explained in the article, the irony of a Montessori school mandating fascism. But, if you care about your kids, then you are responsible for educating them – and not allowing them to be terrorized by psychos and idiots. Many thanks to EP for sharing this!

Eric Peters once again sounds the alarm on the dystopian future of automobiles in Amerika.

Volvo – which is not-coincidentally owned by the control-freak Chinese – intends to include an upgraded version of its “Volvo on Call” technology in its cars within the next couple of years. What it means is that your Volvo will make a call – about your driving. If the car doesn’t like it – based on data gleaned from sensors which monitor how you drive – the car will slow itself down and park. Where you’ll wait until the car decides to let you drive again.

Assuming it hasn’t called the cops.

Volvo isn’t the only car company intending to install such technology, either. In fact most cars sold since about 2015 already have the technology to monitor – and stymie – your driving.

Soon, they may have even more technology.

New Mexico Senator Tom Udall – along with Senator Rick Scott of Florida – are “calling” for  a new federal law (see here) requiring that all new cars be equipped with passive and active technology to prevent the car from being driven – and stop it while it’s being driven – if sensors detect the presence of alcohol, the amount of that presence tunable to nil by the government-corporate nexus.

Right now, the legal threshold defining presumptive “drunk” driving in most states is a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .08 – but several states – such as Utah – want to lower it to .05 or even less. For those under the legal age to drink alcohol, which is 21, any alcohol – even if not actually in the person – constitutes “drunk” driving if it is found inside the car, under “zero tolerance” laws in every state.

Will anyone hear what he’s saying? Probably, they are deafened by saaaaaaafety. For the kids and so forth. An old car – buy one.

Eric Peters on the “entertaining” future of the automobile.

H.G. Wells wrote about a time machine but Aldous Huxley – author of Brave New World – may actually have had one. And used it to to travel to our now, jotted down a few notes and then returned to the early 20th century to write his chirpily depressing picture of what tomorrow will look like:

A world of endiapered adults who remain perpetual children, perpetually distracted by imbecile pursuits – because distracted imbeciles are much easier to herd than conscious, thinking adults are to bayonet-prod in the desired direction.

Well, here we are – almost.

Talking cartoon characters will be displayed inside the automated cars of the impending Future – to keep the endiapered imbeciles within droolingly quiescent and vacuously smiling as they are meatsacked to whatever destination the controllers input. Perhaps the mall.

Perhaps, in time, somewhere else.

They won’t know the difference and – far more important – won’t care. They will be entertained.

This is no kidding. It was on display at the CES Technology Trade Show in Shanghai last week. Not one but several former (or soon-to-be) car companies, which are transitioning into “mobility” companies – had kiosks and PR people on hand to show the wares.

The automated car will become a kind of Boob Toob on wheels, with “virtual reality experiences” embedded within to keep the meatsackeds’ minds off what’s happening without – and generally.

A neighbor just bought a new car, and a nice one too. We chatted about what I might like as a replacement for the old 19th Century buggy. I can’t think of a single new car that excites me. Cartoons won’t help. But, the people… The people will end up demanding this.

Sans, evidence or an actual crime, of course. The Drug Whisperers:

These are armed government workers such as Cobb County, Georgia’s TT Carroll – who have received similar “training” and been anointed Certified Drug Recognition Experts, ready to go to war on drugs – even if there aren’t any around.

Carroll and other “trained experts” have arrested numerous motorists on the basis of the mere assertion that they are On Dope.

Nothing more.

Certainly not on the basis of empirical evidence that they actually are On Dope, such as a blood or urine test. That’s too much of an inconvenience – and probably too factual, as well.

Instead, the DRE’s “trained” opinion that the person he has waylaid – often on the pretext of a minor traffic offense, such as driving slightly on the shoulder or touching a yellow line, probably with the DRE cop car riding their bumper – is a Doper. The victims are arrested, caged and charged – and must then prove themselves innocent of the charges.

Those who argue for “law and order” and say the police never arrest innocents – they do. And, this isn’t even remotely law and order, it’s no law and disorder. All for “your” government.

Don’t talk!

Eric Peters pulls over from the car business and discusses the predictable failure of America’s sacred document.

It did what it was written to do:

The Constitution is an immoral document. It explicates a litany of conditional privileges, subject to modification at any time. That this is done in an orderly manner, via “constitutionally” prescribed mechanisms, does not make the doing of it morally legitimate.

It merely legalizes it.

Theft remains theft.

Slavery, to whatever degree, remains slavery.

Sounds a bit like Lysander Spooner from 100+ years ago. Harsh but honest.

cars, Eric Peters, Hurricane Harvey, Texas

They’re coming – and not around Texas. In a few months many of these doomed cars will start appearing at used car lots nationwide. Harvey has destroyed an estimated 500,000 cars in Houston alone and damaged maybe a million more.

On a positive side note, these cars will have to be replaced. Harvey may, just may, save the automotive industry or, at least, prolong its decline for perhaps a season or a year.

Peters has the lowdown on sedans-turned-submarines and how to avoid owning one:

The cars – many of them brand-new – are declared total losses and the dealership gets compensated by the insurance company. The cars ought to be recycled at this point – or parted out (some parts are still perfectly usable). But because it is not hard – for the expert crooked car seller – to pull out the carpet, dry the obvious things, clean the car up and then (critical) efface any mention of “salvage” or “flood damage” from the car’s title/vehicle history report – and then sell the seemingly near-new/low-miles car far, far away from the source of its swim, he does exactly that.

And this is a ride you do not want to take.

Don’t buy one unless you’re starting a reef. EP Autos.

Peters, again, on the next step towards total control over your vehicular travel.

V2V is a critical step toward the replacement of autonomous cars with automated cars – which must be aware (like the Terminator) of their environment, of the other cars within a certain radius of their position at any given moment. This in order to anticipate the need to alter course or speed to avoid impacting another car.

Which the car will do – without any input from you.

For saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafety, of course.

That is how it’s being presented – and it’s on that basis it will be force-fed to us. Including those of us who want nothing to do with it. Can you say rip tide?

About half of all new cars already have or offer (it’s not yet mandatory) automated braking and steering “assist.” The car decides it’s necessary to stop – and applies the brakes if you don’t.

It steers itself in the direction it thinks is right.

The fully automated and therefore no longer autonomous car will come standard with these things. And for the potential of this technology to be maximized, all cars must come standard with these things – as well as the V2V ability to constantly chatter with all the other cars in the immediate vicinity.

And – the really Big Thing – they will chatter with a central hive brain of some sort. Which will coordinate and control the whole enchilada. The central hive brain will be in constant contact with – and in constant control of – all the automated cars.

It’ll be like having a cop with a two-way radio riding shotgun – only worse because it will be a Super Cop. A single, central all-controlling cop who cannot be dodged – much less bargained with.

Prepare to kiss your own driving goodbye (maybe in ten to twenty years, maybe sooner). Many or most will welcome this. I will not.

Luckily I think I may have found (re-discovered) my own solution.

America, cars, culture, Eric Peters, society, tyranny

A few days ago I shocked two friends when I told them I’d never used Uber. I have nothing against the service and will use it should the need ever arise – so far, it hasn’t. I also shun cabs, limos, buses, trains, and commercial flights (Grayhounds in the air). As much as I hate driving down the river of American clover incompetence, I still prefer to use my vehicle. I like to be in control of where and how I go. I like being free.

All this I explained to the gentlemen. If they listened, they didn’t show it, instead competing with each other to show me apps of how many available Uber rides were in the vicinity.

The app showing I remembered when I read this post by Eric Peters on the coming end of automotive freedom in America:

Car ownership will soon be a thing of the past, some say.

Some wish.

Instead of buying a car every so often and driving that car for a period of years – and owning the car – people will simply tap an app and rent a car by the hour or day; whatever their need at the moment happens to be.

It sounds breezy – and oh-so-easy!

This may indeed be our metrosexualized future . . . god help us. But not for those reasons. There are always other reasons. The real reasons.

There is money to be made, naturally. Great huge stacks of it. Someone with a calculator and the instinct of a Don King or Colonel Parker did a little math and figured out that it would be orders of magnitude more profitable to rent people cars than sell people cars.

You can only sell a car to one person at a time, after all.

But rent? By the hour?

Theoretically – and probably, actually – you could keep a given car working like a Filipino Lady Boy, almost 24-7. Pimping the ride to one “John” after the next. With carpet vacuuming and Febreze in between.

Almost no down time.

The car that brings in say $400/month as a sale brings in that much – or more – in a week – as a rental. No wonder the stampede toward “transportation as a service.” GM especially – which is already implementing this via its Maven app in the New York City area.

It is the equivalent of discovering a new Ghawar oil field under Brooklyn. The price of real estate just went up.

It also gives the manufacturers – the GM corporate – direct access to your wallet (via revolving credit) which must be giving multiple orgasms to the people in GM’s accounting department. Dealers will be cut out of the picture – at best, reduced to parking lot attendants and service depots, the business side of that between them and the manufacturers, all costs of course folded into the rental fee charged to you.

In ten to twenty years – as I hear it from more people than just Peters – those app taxis will all be self-driving models. No need to waste profits paying drivers. In ten years, most (all?) cars, owned, rented, whatever, will have autopilot features. In twenty years, they will likely lack any manual controls, period. No need as actually driving yourself will be illegal.

This will have some upsides, merely riding in a self-driving auto, owned by someone else. No need for a driver’s license (look for mandated ID cards [or chip implants] instead). No need to auto insurance – someone else’s liability. You will, conceivably, be able to drink and ride to your drunk’s content – no harm if you cannot operate the car. Tort suits and obnoxious TV lawyer ads will dry up – no fault for any mishaps as all the cars will be controlled by the same computer system (likely operated by or for the government, with included immunity).

The downsides? Most people won’t see any. They’ll be happy as cattle in the hauler, off to wherever the state decides they need to go. The free won’t be so fortunate. Some of us actually hate the idea of being at someone else’s mercy. The thought that a far-away robot decides when, where, and how fast we travel, rubs some the wrong way. Then there’s the costs. The lack of ownership. The joy of checking the oil. The privacy deficit. The loss of freedom itself.

As I’ve mentioned here before, I have a soft spot for the heretofore mythical flying car. Want one badly. Not too long ago I read that some tech billionaire was intent on ruining those too by making them self-flying. Is there no escape? Probably not.

More laws to break, I suppose. The good news, if there is any, is that after a few years of everyone riding along like compliant, complacent fools, the police will begin to abandon traffic patrols. That should make it easier to circumvent the cattle drive.

HAL-MC2_400x400

Kubrick / MGM.

So, in the near future, having tapped the app and comfortably drunk texting while HAL 9000 takes you to the chutes, just be mindful that we are out there too. We may be in a 1975 F250 or an old M923 zipping past you and HAL (pray HAL stays out of the way). We may be in the sky above (if or when we look down, we’ll laugh). We may just be on foot or horseback, slowly meandering through the woods.

You probably won’t notice and that’s a good thing.

Like your new John Deere? Like your lease? You’re leasing by the way. You signed a paper that allowed them to keep exclusive rights. Eric Peters, today, explained how that works:

Not if it’s a John Deere tractor.

When you buy one, you’re actually purchasing an “implied license for the life of the vehicle to operate the vehicle.“ Basically, a rental contract. With the difference being that even when the rental is paid off, you are still bound by the contract.

Yes, really.

It has to do with two things – the code that runs the tractor (yes, them too) and the ownership claims to that code asserted under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

You may recall the ruckus that erupted about a year ago when the car companies floated the idea that even though you bought their car, it was still their code that ran the thing – and this code remained proprietary. That is, their property. To “tamper” with anything that could conceivably affect the code, their lawyers proposed, would violate both the warranty and copyright laws. Effectively making the car not your property, no matter the name on the title.

A DMCA exception was granted for cars – but probably only because of the rictus of outrage that erupted; rightly so.

Tractors, on the other hand. . .

Probably because there are fewer farmers – and most of them are wholly owned subsidiaries of massive Big Ag cartels, working the fields on behalf of Monsanto and Archer Daniels Midland, et al.

But not just them, either.

When you buy a Deere, you must sign a licensing agreement (see here) that contains what amounts to the rental agreement. It basically says that you – the “owner” – will not perform unauthorized repairs or modifications; that you will only permit an authorized Deere technician to touch “your” tractor. This comes in mighty handy when you are out in the field cutting hay and something breaks and you need to get the thing running again right now . . . not next Thursday, when the Deere dude can schedule you an authorized appointment.

img_5388d7ef5ab14_43673

“Beep! Beep! Boop! agriculture.com.

All about control and ownership for the Big Club with the DMCA. I noted as much over two years ago:

All companies, from Ford to Honda to Caterpillar, have announced the need for a change in the law. Specifically, they want to amend the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998, Pub. L. No. 105-304, 112 Stat. 2860 (Oct. 28, 1998) to protect their proprietary software from your incessant meddling. Yes, you, the shade-tree mechanics of America, are the real problem here.

In a way, this is only fair. New cars, all of them, are totally controlled by sophisticated computer programs. Those programs were developed by the car makers at considerable cost. When you endeavor to work on “your” own car you will inevitably run into programming issues. Most shy away from this spectacle of technology. However, some intrepidly dive in and use their own skill to navigate the oil stained field of ones and zeroes which make the new cars work. In doing so they may, intentionally or unwittingly, alter the original programming. This equates to software piracy, you see.

Never mind that you paid for the car, computers and all. It’s not really your property – not all of it. Back in the 90’s the lobbyist for the industries of America wrote and paid for the DMCA. It’s their law, designed to protect their money, and they can change it as needed. You get back to that baseball game – nothing to see here.

“Your” representatives will be bribe … er … convinced to alter the law. In the future only dealership mechanics and licensed big chain techs will be authorized to work on cars. This will save you the trouble of reading code and allow the manufacturers to reap additional profits. Go under the hood yourself and you will likely lose the car and land yourself in prison. As it should be.

The terrorist with a laptop, of whom Markey and I warned you, will no more obey the new DMCA than he will the old laws against kidnapping, murder, and extortion. No mind; eventually this too will be cured. A new dawn of self-driving, un-hackable, super “safe” but un-Godly expensive cars is just over the horizon.

This dawning will surely usher in new problems. Rest assured our wise and benevolent betters will have solutions for these too.

As I said then; “Fix a car, go to jail”. I should have included tractors in that.

Hook that to your PTO.

A new study (by a questionable group) says we are about 12 years away from 95% mileage in driverless cars. That means a computer somewhere else, that someone else controls and programs, will determine where and when and how you go. And the car will probably belong to someone else too. This means no control over your own movement about the land. And they will probably look like something from a low-rent Jetsons movie.

1_fi_GoogleDriverlessCar

Hanna Barbera.

BCG, a slightly more reputable source, says it will be around 25% in 2030. Sooner or later (sooner) it will be 95% and then 100%. New cars, even if you buy one, won’t have any controls – no steering wheel, no pedals. Then they will make driving yourself illegal. (At this point Perrin will go full Rambo).

Eric Peters has an excellent expert’s take on the matter. THIS you must read.

Controllers loathe the random coming and going of people free of their control.

Most especially in a car owned by them – and not rented by the hour (the other shove/nudge behind all this; there is huge money to be made by shove/nudging people to pay by the hour – via Lyft and Maven and so on – rather than to buy and own a car).

In a driven-by-us car, we can drive as fast as we wish – assuming no armed government workers in the vicinity. The joy of acceleration – as much as we like, as fast as we dare. To not be part of a collective, a herd. To go our own way.

From a certain point-of-view, this is as outrageous as the pre-income tax days.

What is wanted is an income tax version of transportation.

Just as we are allowed to earn money – but only under certain conditions, and required to report every detail of every transaction to the government, which thus controls both our earnings and how we are allowed to earn them.

Control. That is the thing here – and the dupes affirming the desirability of “autonomous” (sic) cars are exactly that because they are basing their eye-batting affirmations on the delusional belief that the cars will, in fact, be autonomous – that is, still under their control.

But they will find – perhaps to their dismay – that in fact they have become like customers of the IRS.

All clovers will love this development. Most Americans will accept it. I will either go hermit or go postal. Screw the robots and Mordor.
