Wow. Could not finish that one.

Hillary did get to the debt bomb first, I think. Yes, yes, Bill was just about to start bringing down the debt – GAAP be damned. That’s a problem in Washington; even if you set up a plan that would work, the next president can easily undue it all.

Anyway, this debate was pointless.

I did however, right in the middle of the madness, get slapped in the face by a mental reminder from the ancient world. I have no plan, no theory. Yet. Not a suggestion, just a mere thought. Just an idea that jumped up while I was agonizing over the split screen images of the two candidates.

The Roman Republic didn’t have a presidency. Rather, the chief executive office was split between not one, but two Consuls. They were elected together and served ONE YEAR terms. They alternated who was actually in charge, or who had final say, monthly. **After the advent of the Empire, neither Consult had any real power.

Tully in 2016!

How about we stick both these clowns in the White House under such an arrangement! Could it really be any worse than it already is?

Well, yeah … maybe.

Good night America and may God help us all!

The Union And The Constitution Forever?

I watched the second, low-rent, Jerry Springer Show-style presidential “debate” last night. My excuses are: academic interest and comedic value. These are only excuses.

One might have noticed the emblem hanging over the backdrop of the event – the eagle on the American flag surfboard, “The Union and the Constitution Forever”:

394137ca00000578-3830041-image-a-61_1476062343067-edited

Daily Mail, UK.

Look at it and then imagine that bird ripping the big one. Makes more sense than the candidates. The motto derives from a mid-19th Century speech by a Massachusetts minister.

And last night Hillary and Donald proved that motto a falsehood. Nothing in the Constitution says the Union is forever, Imperial Abe’s War notwithstanding. The ratifying States by and large reserved the right to exit when appropriate, some explicitly so.

Not that it matters. The Union is dead. The idea of 50 independent, sovereign states is a thing on the past, even to those states. Today they are merely regional sub-jurisdictions of the Empire. The Empire created by the Constitution, which is also dead.

Said Constitution received only the barest mention last night. It has joined the Magna Carta and Plato’s Republic on the shelf of quaint historical curiosities.

Most of the “debate” revolved around each of the two clowns telling us how horrible the other is. I, for one, believe them. Here and there a little policy leaked into the discussion. In those instances, there was consensus – big government will solve the problems created by big government. Style only separated the answers and suggestions.

Trump, for all his zingers, missed a golden opportunity to land one for freedom. He and Hillary were asked by a panelist what part of the tax code they would repeal to keep things “fair”. (And where did they get that cast of cartoon character audience panelists from?) Neither candidate answered. They used the chance to take further shots at each other. A real and better answer would have been: “The Sixteenth Amendment. The rich and the poor should pay both the same percentage and the same amount in taxes: zero.”

And, so it went last night. It was entertaining, if uninformative. Trump complimented Clinton for being a resilient fighter. The same could be said for him. Never before have we been offered two such pitiful choices. However, both are tough, almost bullet-proof – like blocks of steel. And that’s how I imagine each would govern: like a block of steel: heavy, immovable, bland, and unthinking.

You’d be just as well off voting for the Surfin Bird.

Voting Advice … Or Not

Everyone in America is hot and heavy about next month’s Great Quadrennial Black Mass, a.k.a. the election. I am not.

So it is that I was not impressed nor moved to action when the following presented itself on the WP command screen:

nimbus-image-1475704726342

There was an “X” on the right side so I judiciously clicked it. You’re all welcome.

I think everyone knows where I stand on this government, government in general, and elections. Big. Waste. Of. Time. Still, I don’t roundly tell everyone not to vote (DON’T VOTE!!!). So I’m not about to encourage the behavior. You’re adults; make up your own minds.

Some celebrities aren’t so confident in your mental abilities. They not only tell you to vote but practically advise you how to vote.

nimbus-image-1475780308701

Downey, Jr. and pals – Downey’s Downers. YouTube.

Rock the vote! Vote or die! If you can’t trust a pack of professional liars, drug addicts, drunks, and violent, raging, STD-ridden, serial divorcing idiots, who can you trust?

I do trust one celebrity on the matter: George Carlin:

nimbus-image-1475780645586

Carlin / YouTube – one of his best.

As George suggested, there really are no choices now, not even sure-to-fail third parties. News comes even the Libertarian Party is corrupted. More on that later – about the news and a funny story.

Today was going to be the big day. I suppose it was in a way. Julian Assange stated Wikileaks will release about a million documents concerning rampant U.S. corruption between now and November’s Black Mass election show. Still, I was hoping for concrete information this morning. The waiting game…

But first, I made an error a few days ago. I posted a meme about the possible assassination of Assange:

nimbus-image-1475452355711

This was wrong and I apologize. Based on what we know, about the previous assassination of Assange as proposed by Hillary Clinton, a more accurate meme would be:

nimbus-image-1475579497026

Drones, yes. Sorry about that.

Anyway, the information is coming. It looks to be a multi-faceted expose:

  • Systemic corruption in U.S. electoral process;
  • Spying on America citizens, to include efforts by Google and other companies;
  • Wars, wars, and more wars – for profit;
  • Collusion between three countries (the U.S., the U.K., and guess who) to create terror, war, turmoil, and resulting profits;
  • As part of the collusion, arms dealing with ISIS (specifically by a current presidential candidate); and
  • Destroying nations in order to enrich banksters – the evidence of this concerning Libya has been public for a few years now.

All of this will come out eventually. Some think it will sway the election. I thought so but now I’m not so sure. I’m not sure any of it will really matter to the people. There’s probably going to be reason to indict and arrest certain persons but is that what people want. Is anyone interested in justice any more?

Consider what Wikileaks has told us already. Look at the timeline of Wiki releases over the past 10 years (pages 7 – 8). Look at the U.S. concerned releases this year alone. The fact that Hillary Clinton is running for president and that Americans still want to support their corrupt government at all is evidence that they really don’t care about the truth or justice.

The good news, today, is that Julian did avoid a Predator strike. The rest will wait.

It was like watching two demented doctors argue over treatment for a corpse then realizing they’re really arguing over grave robbing.

Absolutely amazing but the debate really went something like this:

ZZvwcIo

Some takeaways:

  • Like George Carlin said, this really is the best we can do.
  • Each “side” thought their clown won, if only barely.
  • I was a little surprised Hillary didn’t cough, faint or zone out.
  • Why was Trump sniffing between jibbers early on?
  • Both are smart people. They’re only acting stupid.
  • That was the worst debate I have seen.
  • No disrespect to Lester but why even bother with a moderator.
  • For all the “action” it felt scripted.
  • Beyond typical: Democrat clown: “tax and spend”; Republican clown: “law and order.”
  • Neither has any concept of freedom.
  • They both want your guns.
  • I’m glad I do not vote.
  • I’m glad I do not watch idiot-vision.
  • The Republic is dead and has been for some time. When the resuscitation efforts grow tiresome, let me know. I have a death certificate. Would you like an autopsy?
  • The Empire, unacknowledged by most, is on life support, which is acknowledged even less.
  • I need to work on those fall getaway ideas.

Debate Expectations

Mine are extraordinarily low. Trump and Clinton face off in a little over an hour. I’m actually going to stay up and watch the show or at least try. I’ll give some thought to what they say though the saying doesn’t always translate well into the doing later on. Honestly, I’ve completely written off Clinton. Trump is a very impressive man but he has not impressed me as a candidate. He says many of the right things. Then he either backtracks, softens, or goes totally wild.

nimbus-image-1474934347109

Rrrrrrl LET’S GET READY TO STUMBLLLLLLLLLLE!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, in addition to the comedy and Clinton cough watch, I’ll be keeping track of a few core issues. I may come back with post-debate analysis. I’m sure I could go ahead and do it now as few (if any) of the following will be reasonably discussed:

  • Taxes. Eliminate the income tax and the IRS completely. Replace it with nothing.
  • Abolish the Federal Reserve. Replace the funny money with gold -backed (or ANYTHING backed) currency in a “free” market-based banking structure. Exile or execute the banksters.
  • Halt all debt spending. Repudiate and cancel the existing federal debt and all unfunded liabilities. They’re never going to be repaid, they really don’t exist, and they’re a product of the funny money. Hell, repudiate all debt period. Make debt illegal.
  • End all entitlement programs.
  • End all programs, agencies, and expenditures not expressly in the Constitution.
  • Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments.
  • End the wars, recall all personnel, and disband the standing military, reduce it to the limits of the Constitution.
  • Return defense to the several states, the militias, and the people. Return many things to the people.
  • End the war on drugs.
  • Pardon all current and previous federal convicts not convicted of piracy, counterfeiting or treason.
  • Expel or execute all terrorists, terrorist sympathizers, terrorist apologists, and anyone remotely connected with terrorism.
  • Halt all immigration into this country.
  • Expel all foreign nationals – all of them (for now).
  • Repeal the Immigration Act of 1965. Execute anyone still alive who voted for it and anyone who supports it.
  • Surrender all nuclear weapons to Perrin Lovett.
  • Repeal all federal firearms laws. Re-legalize machine guns first.
  • Repeal most federal laws.
  • Acknowledge that judicial review is an unsupported fraud.
  • Reduce and limit the courts.
  • Vastly increase the membership of the House.
  • Have all redress of grievances with go through Congress.
  • Abolish all administrative regulatory agencies. Ceremonially burn the CFR.
  • End all foreign aid.
  • Get the U.S. out of the U.N. and the U.N. out of the U.S.
  • Acknowledge the Union is voluntary.
  • Tear down that shrine to Baphomet.
  • Reduce D.C. to its native status as a swamp.

Okay. Now I’m getting carried away. None of this will be done and some of it is far beyond the President’s power anyway.

Still, these are some of the things I’ll be looking for. Let’s go green with this government – reduce, reuse, recycle, burn it to the damned ground.

Mapping The Real Vote

I tinkered with the Electoral map over at Real Clear Politics to reflect a Trump-slide.

Trump, full landslide:

nimbus-image-1474884450704

Trump, worst to middle case landslide:

nimbus-image-1474886115866

Either way, it’s not even going to be close. In both of these maps: blue areas represent states where people will be disappointed in November; red represents areas where people will be disappointed 2017 – 202(?).

Here’s a Hillary map:

club_map

She takes everything but the “Solid South” Quadling Country. The Impassible Desert is a toss-up.

Again, except for Oz, these are Electoral College maps. Your vote means nothing. The system under the old Constitution, as amended, considers you untrustworthy. Considering that you boiled it down to Hillary and Donald there may be credence to that theory. At any rate the Black Mass is practically decided now, the outcome (either way) certainly is.

Enjoy the “debate” tonight but remember your Mencken: “Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule—and both commonly succeed, and are right.”

Uh, I survived my 20-hour Friday. I think. Today will be pretty busy too. As such, there may not be any “substantive” posting here. This one you’re reading is … semi-substantive. Good enough, eh?

You’re probably going to watch college football today. Perrin’s pick of the week is Alabama (1) at Ole Miss (19). In Oxford. Has to be a good game. There are others that should be good games. I’m particularly interested in what may happen in Boone. *BTW, I think the football verdict is in; opinion may be forthcoming. Non-committal prediction department.

If you’re looking for hardcore rambling, may I suggest two strategies. First, the archives. Over to the left in the sidebar is a list of months – from this one back to June, 2012. Click on any one and see what I was gibbering about at any given time. If you have a particular subject in mind, then type that into the search box located in the upper right corner. I’m closing in on 800 or so articles and I cover just about everything under the sun or moon.

Our favorite satellite, Sept. 16, 2016.

In related news I culled through the drafts department. I eliminated a few and set some up for a little work. Great stuff there.

For now I’ll stick with the American election, such as it is. Karen Kwiatkowski wrote a piece about the rising neocon tide of vultures circling the coming Trump Presidency. This is why I’ve been saying (assuming Trump will be the next president) that it will be a disappointment to many. He can’t operate in a vacuum.

If anyone should be strong enough to dismiss the siren calls of the war and money-mongers, it’s Trump. I don’t like the signs honestly. My politico-computer gives him an exact 2% chance of running an independent American administration. (And that’s almost 10 times higher than anyone else’s chances). We’ll see.

And what we may see may not be so pleasant. There is hope though not through politics. I’ll leave you with this nifty Guide to Surviving Civil Unrest. It’s a short from Freedom Prepper written by some crazy man.

Happy Saturday, friends!

Robot Road Warriors

Every week I read about some dude dying because his Tesla or other “self-driving” car ran into a tree or under a truck. Right now, you get what you pay for (and foolishly accept). Tomorrow will be different. Tesla, Mercedes and Google are working out the bugs. The robot car is here to stay.

I predict in ten years they will have a significant portion of the motoring market. In twenty years they will be the majority of the vehicles out there. Some are worried about a decline in road etiquette.

I certainly agree though I can see a distinct benefit. I drive a lot and estimate 75-90% of American motorists are utterly incompetent. Proof of a benevolent God is in the fact that there are not 30 million traffic fatalities every year.

What is there to possibly lose? Right now the robots aren’t much better. But they are a little better. I know I could out drive any computer on the road today. Most people can’t. And they know it deep down inside.

Thus, in a few years they will welcome the car that drives for them. In fact, they may have no alternative.

Tesla is flooding the markets with their dealerships. Traditional “knock their heads off” dealers are not happy. Too bad. The traditional car market is about to start dying the death of the old publishing industry.

The problem for dealers is that not only will people in the future not drive, they won’t even own the self-driving cars. Uber is about to go driverless. (So are buses, trains, and ships. Planes won’t be far behind.) The idiot of the future who wants to go somewhere will think about it. The computer in his head will call for a car. The car will drive itself up and off they go. The trip will be debited, via computer, to the passenger’s account.

The Uber fleet companies of the future will all buy from the manufacturers. Bye, bye, dealers. Insurance companies are going to have to figure out a new way to rob people too.

For me personally, I look forward to trading vast swarms of slow, erratic clovers for slow, erratic robots. I’m already in the market for a new battering ram.

14224702_1312768835400218_7860521209569139133_n

“Move Over” painted in reverse on the grill, eh?

My biggest concern about all of this is that sooner or later the government will mandate robot cars. My love of V8 power, speed, and simplicity, coupled with my hatred of lights, beeps, buzzers, and talking computers already has me out of the existing new car market. All I’m left with is old trucks. I imagine those will be illegal in a decade or so.

So, my whole point of this is … does anyone know of a good, reliable, used Baron G58 or similar small twin-prop at a good price? A few more best sellers and I may be in the market. Y’all have fun with the robots on the road.

kingair_bb-1156_mg_4815banner

Textron. That’s a 200, I know.

In slightly related news, dealing with the death of the way things were:

Donald Trump says he is the last chance to elect a Republican. He’s right about that. It is now or never for my conservative friends.

What he really means is he is the last chance to have another four – eight years of talking about getting America back. At the same time he would probably hold the line slightly against the third-world slide.

I’ve said again and again that the only way to get back to the “good old days” of a responsible Constitutional Republic is to elect Ron Paul in 2008 (not in 2012 – too late). You missed that chance. Now, Trump offers a chance for an extension of the bitching about going back.

After that, after this presidential cycle is over (maybe once it begins), the party is over. It’s been over for a few years now but some of the guests are still reluctant to leave. Maybe when they finally go home they can ride in a robot car!

The Inapplicability of American Law

America, Donald Trump, doom, election, Frank the Frog, government, Hillary Clinton, law, The People

Laws are funny things. They’re a lot like the rules in the game Monopoly except someone may enforce them at gunpoint. As in the game some people choose to adapt or amend the rule of law as they see fit, all as part of their game play fun. But, unlike the game, these people aren’t playing with plastic houses and pewter top hats.

Donald Trump has previously sought to use certain eminent domain laws to further his real estate businesses. I think they left that out at the GOP convention this year. Small potatoes though – hardly different from the “free parking” money. Rules are made for the bending, eh?

Hillary Clinton’s play is more akin to seizing all the money directly from the till before the game starts, wrecking the race car, and leaving a few other players … uh … suicided… In her version the rules are the rules – for you; no rules for her and she does as she pleases.

A friend of mine brought this story to my attention last night. It’s about the FBI’s release of Hillary investigation materials. It’s alarming, yes, maybe more so than her likely Parkinson’s condition. Even the timing of the release is suspicious. Everything concerning Hillary is suspicious. But nothing seems to stick. The laws don’t apply to her at all.

This I covered, artfully I thought, exactly two months before last night. Laws Are Like Spiders’ Webs, I wrote. They are.

nimbus-image-1473164081230

That’s really all there is to it. Nothing will be done and there’s no point in fretting. Given the still large numbers of Hillary supporters (and Trump supporters, to be honest) it seems to me that the American people would vote for damned near anyone, maybe anything.

Late last night as I pondered that uncomfortable realization I was visited by none other than Frank the Frog. A coincidence? Possibly. Frank, you may recall, was interested in higher office. Unfortunately, he was threatened by what he called “shadowy figures” and retreated underground (likely in the literal sense in his case).

I suggested that to him Americans might just vote for anyone or anything. I said, “maybe even a green amphibian!” “Amphibian-American,” he matter-of-factly corrected. He otherwise did not see it my way. We talked for a while. He insisted on delaying even his biography until after this election is past. I sense he might have been a little depressed.

Still, I find more comfort in a depressed, two-inch, green tree frog than in the political alternatives. At least he plays by the rules, rules he may not even be able to read.

Frank would be one of those small things easily ensnared by the law. He has to play along for his own safety. Trump, Hillary, the FBI and the government are large things. They easily smash through the law without consequence. By playing with them we jeopardize our safety.
