American Awakening: Identity Politics and Other Afflictions of Our Time by Joshua Mitchell may be worth reading. Here’s a summary.

America seems to have gone mad. It still is the world’s richest and most powerful country, with the oldest continuous government on earth, yet it is in deep crisis and divided between hostile camps that reject each other’s legitimacy. Paradoxically, what made America strong also makes it inherently fragile. Joshua Mitchell, a professor of government at Georgetown University, presents a cogent diagnosis of America’s dark night of the soul in a remarkable new book that should be required reading for anyone who wants to make sense of today’s United States.

A Chinese acquaintance quips, “Now you are having your own Cultural Revolution.” In fact, the criticism and self-criticism sessions imposed on corporate employees and school personnel to root out hidden racism recall Mao’s Red Guards. But America is not China, and this is not a Cultural Revolution; it is an eruption of Christian religious feeling channeled into secular obsessions.

Asia Times’s review presents a somewhat jumbled but still compelling portrait. I may just pick this one up and report back in a while. If you’d like to beat me to it, check here.

A Matter of Trust

Well, what do you know? The homogenous American people of 1970 were much more trusting of each other than the assorted Tower of Babel 2.0 USians of 2020. Even the WSJ notices now, even as they can’t find the plain answer.

But as trust theorists have dug deeper, they’ve found that this negative effect is largely correlated not with diversity itself but with segregation. When ethnic groups are concentrated in small geographical areas and have little contact with one another, distrust is high; with greater contact, the effect shrinks. And while ethnic diversity has increased in the U.S. considerably since 1980—around a 50% increase as measured by the National Equity Atlas Diversity Index—ethnic segregation has decreased somewhat.

So, it’s not diversity, it’s just the natural product of diversity? Bullshit. The cartoon picture in the article says it all. Different peoples are not the same, obviously, and they obviously resort to skepticism when dealing with others. And politics has almost nothing to do with it, nor economics; all we have now are “others.”

The America of 1970, already just beginning to feel the horrible effects of 1965, was still about 85% White European – down from about 90% twenty years earlier. Now, where are we? 58%? Whatever it is, it’s falling towards just another plurality in a sea of incompatibility from every corner of the globe. This was the plan and it worked perfectly, causing the destruction of the American Nation. We can trust that the intentions of its authors were utterly evil.

People move around and expatriate. Still, one always finds that those to a degree responsible for wrecking a nation will generally try to flee so as to avoid the mess they helped create.

Read the whole article, about the rich, their “golden passports,” and their stampede to greener pastures.

Those of you elsewhere, please watch out; these types have a way of bringing their old problems to their new host nations.

By Process of Elimination

As Seen At TPC.

No, this has nothing to do with last Saturday’s Georgia-Alabama game. I gave my advice in that regard, last fall; though perhaps I should have added the word “taller” in the description under point two. It matters little as it appears that my points were not heeded. No, this column is titled as it is because I wrestled with too many subjects, settling on none. In my defense, I’ve been a little busy with some other things lately and the prospects for this particular work were slightly speculative, even depressing. So! I decided to go with something safe and sound: education.

Rather, this is about IQ, which in turn, is extremely determinative of educational achievement.

Well, shit, this is really a review of a book review, but bear with me.

Coming on October 29, 2020: In the Know: Debunking 35 Myths about Human Intelligence by Dr. Russell T. Warne.

Read, if you will, James Thompson’s review preview at Unz.

Warne is, like my old man was, an educational psychologist. His new book focuses on dispelling popular (and popularly deceptive) myths about psychometrics. That field was my father’s focus from around 1971 until 1989, with most of his major work published during the Seventies, before, I imagine, Warne was born. Some of Dad’s papers are still cited, with The Effect of Violating the Assumption of Equal Item Means in Estimating the Livingston Coefficient (1978) referenced this year (ThaiJo, Thailand, January 2020). Here’s hoping that In the Know enjoys similar longevity along with deeper penetration into the psycho-industrial complex and the surrounding culture. God knows we need it.

As Dutton and Woodley demonstrated in At Our Wits’ End (2018), general intelligence in Western nations is collapsing. IQ being one of the three primary components of a stable, even recognizable society, this is just a wee bit important. Yet, in defiance of measured statistical reality, the usual suspects continue to parrot nonsense such as “g doesn’t exist,” or “it’s environmental, socio-economic,” or “IQ is a social construct.” Enough. It would be more accurate to say that society is an IQ construct.

Warne’s attempt to correct the falsehoods is admirable. However, and I’m sure he’s aware, those misstatements are largely intentional. In fact, they are part and parcel with the overall scheme to destroy Western Civilization via mass deception, mass coercion, and mass demographic upheaval. One such lie is well addressed by a quick summary in Thompson’s article:

[Myth] 4 Intelligence Is a Western Concept that Does Not Apply to Non-Western Cultures

…

If intelligence really varies in character between different cultures, then it should be very difficult to extract the “Western” general factor, yet in 31 countries, and using a wide variety of tests, 94 of the 97 (96.9%) samples produced g either immediately or after a second factor analysis. Moreover, the g factor is about as strong in the non-Western samples as it is in typical Western samples. Most countries find “Western” intelligence tests very useful, once they have been translated and some language and specific knowledge items altered or removed. To cap it all, dogs, rats, mice, donkey and primates show g factors. It looks like an evolutionary adaptation.

This cultural apologist claptrap is akin to saying that gravity doesn’t apply in Africa because of Newton. As Warne correctly notes, IQ testing and the understanding of the testing process and the precision of the test results rank as the most mathematically-certain facet of psychology and, in fact, all of the social sciences. But, again, at the higher, motivated levels, the truth doesn’t matter. They know, they’re just pushing the devil’s agenda anyway.

They’re throwing out the tests – just like I did. When your father studied IQ statistics for a living and regularly reviewed, normed, or re-normed IQ tests, who do you think was usually the first test subject? This also goes for your father’s faculty colleagues and graduate students. Yeah. Having completed MORE THAN A FEW Wechsler and Stanford-Binet batteries, I know something about them. Having lived decades among the various-leveled denizens of the bell curve, I can attest to the inherent accuracy in the assessments; in the wild, I can sense it and almost see it.

I had a small collection of various versions of the tests. I had them. During the … great restructuring, they became casualties like so many tools, books, furniture articles, and other weighty items. I feel poorly about it all, but I have an excuse. The globo educrats and warped SJWs, as part of the complete destruction of systemic education in the fading US, threw out (or, are throwing out) the testing process, without excuse or good cause. They know what they’re doing and I know why. We all do. If you’re out to wreck something like a university, but your useful hordes cannot on their own gain admission, then the first step is to replace reliable metrics with those more touchy and feely. Cue Carlin: “Pretty soon all you’ll need to get into college is a pencil.” That’s a battle for another book, or rather, that’s a battle for unschooling, homeschooling, and general autodidacticism.

At any rate, consider buying this book next week and reading it. Then, you can use the presented rebuttals, casually, with those who innocently share the misunderstandings. Every little helps. The ultimate fallback of the defenders of ignorance is always baseless name-calling. Be ready for that – rhetoric with rhetoric, when or where necessary.

And, the necessary when and where for next week, especially for the TPC crowd, will be some fall holiday-themed fiction! Just so you’re in the know: it’ll be spooky fun.

The increasingly impressive Roosh V offers up excellent advice for Christians living during the final days of the US Empire. Most of it is about hunkering down in self-reliance. However, he does touch on Biblical support for getting away:

A lot of men have asked for my thoughts about leaving the country and going to a land where Christians are least likely to be persecuted in the near future (Russia is often mentioned). There is even scriptural support for fleeing persecution.

“Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. When they persecute you in this city, flee to another.” —Matthew 10:21-23

Be mindful that one might not want to wait until overt persecution commences to make the hard choices.

budget, decline, lies, military, Paul Craig Roberts

Dr, Roberts observes a few things: the dangers of appointing industry stooges, and the inanity of US military policy and spending.

Secretary of Defense Mark Esper is a former Raytheon lobbyist and another example of President Trump’s penchant for frustrating his own policies by appointing to power people who oppose his policies. Why does Trump think he can expect a representative of the military/security complex to help him wind down Washington’s hegemonic policeman of the world routine?

Esper is out making speeches that the military/security complex needs 5% real increase annually in order to counter Russia and China—https://news.antiwar.com/2020/10/16/esper-calls-for-more-military-spending-to-face-china-and-russia/ . It is Washington that is aggressive toward Russia and China, not the other way around. The military/security complex desperately needs foreign enemies in order to maximize its budget and power. Russiagate’s purpose was to prevent Trump from removing a valuable “enemy” by normalizing relations with Russia.

The US defense budget could be cut in half and still be larger than the combined defense budgets of Russia and China. China spends about half as much of its economy on defense as the US. If Russia and China intended aggression against the US, wouldn’t you expect to see much higher spending on military?

If anything, the military budget – while there’s still time – needs to be cut, radically. That and a draining of the old swamp would go a long way. Second term projects?

“Good” Government, Hard Fall

decline, government, United States

A new study is out that potentially sheds light on an old phenomenon and also the new-future of the dying US. I’ve skimmed the Daily Mail article. Here’s the STUDY which I have only glanced at. The plausible theory is that when a nation suffers from a more authoritarian government its eventual collapse is easier than that of a nation with a “free” government. That makes sense, as people living under harsher rule are used to hard times and make lighter of terminal calamity, and perhaps seek to hasten the process, minimizing pain, etc. It might seem counterintuitive, especially to those growing up in a more seemingly prosperous, and “exceptional” place like the late America.

Two issues: 1) I have titular misgivings about the names of the authors, given the nature of the paper; 2) this one focuses on the government-angle, which is important but not definitive, really being secondary to the demographic circumstances.

For what it’s all worth.

Also, I am informed that my first FP podcast, on something most similar, is in the editing process, having met with some degree of approval from the elves. That, when it’s available.

"racist", Amerika, Asians, college, decline, don't tread on me

I’ve been quietly warning Asians in Amerika I know that, after the Heritage Americans are gone, they will be the next stand-in targets. Another example:

A New York judge ruled Wednesday that Fordham University student Austin Tong’s two Instagram posts, which depicted him holding an AR-15 and a tribute to slain officer David Dorn, constituted harassment and threats.

“The court finds that the timing, and context of Tong’s Instagram posts justify the two foregoing inferences that Dean [of students] [Keith] Eldredge drew about Tong’s intent to harass and threaten his fellow students via his Instagram posts because of their opposing views regarding the BLM movement,” Appellate Term, First Department Justice Carol Edmead ruled.

Tong posted a picture on June 3 commemorating David Dorn, a retired black police officer killed during the riots in St. Louis. He captioned the photo “Y’all a bunch of hypocrites.”

A worn, 240-year-old slogan, a Chinese stand-in, a dead black policeman, and a communist indoctrination center = “racism.” There are lessons to learn here, but who likes learning? Certainly no one at any Amerikan college. Ain’t diversity grand?! PS: y’all may not be next – more like concurrent.

It has to happen. Doug Casey sees it and discusses it intelligently if a little too An-Cap optimistically.

Again, it’s a little too libertarian, but at least Casey subjugates politics and economics to their proper, lower places. He does touch on the keystone of reality: Demographics. It frightens people to speak of, but the things that hold societies together (or break them apart) are race, religion, and IQ. “Trust” factors into all three, as does the societal, cultural facets that come from each and from all three together.

Compatibility: we don’t have it anymore. The odds heavily favor a civil war in the US. A peaceful solution is technically possible, but we are a fractured people who crave the hard way. Interesting times are here and now; this video is a great look into them.

Whose Supremacy, Now?

I didn’t watch, but I understand that Donald Trump had quite the heated exchange the other night with Democratic candidate Mike Chris Wallace. During their “debate,” Wallace (and some sleepy old man(???)) pressed Trump to condemn “White Supremacy” or some other nonexistent, narrative-driven foolishness. To drive the importance home, the cardboard-like old man (???) called Trump a “racist.” When I heard that, I was astounded. Why hasn’t anyone previously thought to use such commanding rhetoric against the Orange Man??? Or, any White person for that matter? I mean, “RACIST!” Wow.

Ann Coulter took on the matter as only Ann Coulter can:

After four months of looting, arson, window breaking, vandalism, intimidation, physical assaults, stabbings and shootings by Black Lives Matter and antifa, the first thing on the media’s mind is … getting Trump to condemn “white supremacists”!

It would be as if, on the morning after Pearl Harbor, the League of Nations demanded that FDR condemn American aggression in the Pacific.

…

This is the position of the media and the Democratic Party: Antifa must be allowed to run riot without interference from anyone. We’ve liberated antifa from district attorneys and mayors and now we’ll liberate them from individual Americans. Therefore, anyone who defends the innocent from psychotic left-wing violence will be cursed as a “white supremacist.”

So be it. This all, coupled with the previously unheard of decline in the total number of White People (in addition to a usual declining population percentage share) in the US from 2009-2019, possibly suggests that America has a lack of the thing rather than a surfeit. Stand back and stand by? How about stand up?

UPDATE: (Pre-post Alteration): After allegedly contracting the Hoax and joining the 200,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, – pardon, my “zero” key is stuck – 000,000,000,000,000,000,000 perfectly healthy Amerikans who have already died at least six times each, Trump has FINALLY condemned the multi-racial Proud Boys as (multi-racial???) “White supremacists.” That settles that, right? I’m sure that nobody else will call him a “racist” from now on.

This development(s) kind of beats the life and satirical purpose out of the follow-up story I had planned for later today. Here. Here are two more examples of “White supremacy” run amuck:

“White supremacy” violence in LA;

“White supremacy” violence in Sweden;

Blah.

Here’s wishing the First Family (and Hot Hicks) a speedy recovery, much the same as 99.999997% of Hoax victims experience without any ill effects. And, one does hope that Trump will use his house arrest time to put those final touches on The Storm. Stand by.
