Or, Maybe It Worked Too Well

Tags

I saw this story and sat on it for most of the week.

Elections provide the bread-and-circuses staged drama that is passed off as democracy.

Despite the anything-goes quality of American culture, one thing remains verboten to say publicly: the U.S. Constitution has failed. The reason why this painfully obvious fact cannot be discussed publicly is that it gives the lie to the legitimacy of the entire status quo.

The Constitution was intended to limit 1) the power of government over the citizenry 2) the power of each branch of government and 3) the power of political/financial elites over the government and the citizenry, as the Founders recognized the intrinsic risks of an all-powerful state, an all-powerful state dominated by one branch of government and the risks of a financial elite corrupting the state to serve their interests above those of the citizenry.

The Constitution has failed to place limits on the power of government, on the emergence of unaccountable states-within-a-state agencies and on the political power of financial elites.

I tend to agree with the whole article. But… The primary purpose of the Constitution was to create a strong central government. That it certainly did. A success?

“D” Stands for Done – Grading NC Schools

Tags

If this ridiculous legislative idea becomes reality, then the government schools of North Carolina are finished. In fact, that it’s even a hopper item suggests that is already the case.

RALEIGH, N.C. – School employees in one state might be feeling happier these days after learning the bar for failing could be lowered, and by a lot.

The North Carolina legislature is considering a change in the grading system for the state’s public schools.

The bill in question would be based on a 15-point scale, rather than a 10-point scale for grades.

That would mean only scores lower than 39 percent would qualify for an F grade for schools, a far cry from the current 60 percent failure mark in the state and most others.

Student grades would be unaffected by the changing scale system, but would allow underperforming schools to continue operating.

Plenty has been made about lowering passing grades for students. So, it almost stands to “reason” that the same might be done for schools. But, why? If a school is failing, and cannot be redeemed, then shouldn’t it cease operations?

Is this even real? Cant be, can it? Well, yes, it is…

Meet HB 145 (2019), the “15-Point Scale For School Performance Grades” Bill

The madness is primarily sponsored by four Democrats from Charlotte:

These crooks and their friends do not have your children’s best interests in mind. Maybe remember that during the next election.

The Time (for Civilization) Has Passed: Drafting Women Into Racket Wars – TPC

Tags

Great juridical news for feminists, neocons, anti-Christians, Europhobic enthusiasts, haters of Western Civilization, and anyone generally lacking logos. A federal court in Texas held the male-only selective service and martial draft system unconstitutional. The ruling starts the ball slowly rolling towards total equality, diversity, and inclusiveness in the United States Imperial military and, hopefully, for society at large.

Just imagine. The Old Boys Club has been cracked at last. Now, American daughters, sisters, and mothers can be forcibly recruited into the lethal service of the military-industrial complex, big oil, other big corporate interests, the neo-Palestinian diaspora lobby, and the banksters. It’s not only fair, it’s gurrl power.

At Wits’ End: Winter of the West

Pursuant to last week’s TPC column, I wrapped up At Our Wits’ End, Dutton and Woodley, Imprint Academic, Exeter, UK, 2018.

Dutton-Woodley (1)

It’s much worse than declining general intelligence and the end of the Flynn Effect – it’s the end of Western Civilization as we know it. Winter is already underway and there appears to be nothing to stop it.

This will likely feature in a future TPC bit – just submitted this week’s entry on drafting women into the Imperial military (another sign of advanced decay).

The book answers the following tabloid speculation: Scientists fear end to Mankind not ‘decades away’ but ‘much sooner’
OUR CIVILISATION is doing pretty well – but how long do we have left?

Advanced, intelligent society will survive somewhere. It just might not be in GB of the USE.

A sobering but a very good read.

Digital Gangsters Offer “Protection” to Convalescents

The weekly reason why no sane person should ever trust social media: Patients, health data experts accuse Facebook of exposing personal info:

A group of patients and health data experts is accusing Facebook of misleading users about how their personal health information can be manipulated and exposed without patients’ explicit permission.

In a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) complaint released publicly on Tuesday, the group alleges that Facebook prompts its users to join online medical support groups under the guise that they are “private” – but does not make clear that users could expose their health data when they join those groups.

Of course, why would anyone ever give Facebook sensitive health information otherwise protected by privacy law? (Why give them anything?) And, why the shock and horror when the Gangsters do the predictable?

At any rate, in their FTC Complaint, the “victims” play with fine calculations:

An Interesting Map

Tags

This story caught my attention. The featured map caught my eye.

The number of states where liberals outnumber conservatives has dropped more than 30 percent, with just six now in that category: Massachusetts, Hawaii, Vermont, Washington, New York, and New Hampshire.

According to the latest Gallup survey, in every other state but California, where conservatives and liberals split 29 percent to 29 percent, conservatives lead.

Nationally, those who identify themselves conservative hold a nine-point lead.

None whole points to squander when the next time rolls around.

It’s safe to dispense with the worn liberal-conservative jive. That’s over. What struck me as interesting was this map:

Take a look at those various colored blocks. Might this be how the Balkanization breaks down after the breakup? Hmm.

Tonight: Justice! and a Little More Justice!

Last fall I mentioned a case before the Nine, dealing with excessive fines and the waning Bill of Rights. They must have read that as they voted unanimously to uphold a shred of liberty.

The US Supreme Court ruled unanimously on Wednesday that the Excessive Fines Clause in the 8th Amendment applies to state and local governments.

Announced in an opinion written by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on her second day back on the bench following a December cancer surgery, the ruling limits states’ abilities to seize property and impose fines deemed excessive on citizens who break the law.

“For good reason, the protection against excessive fines has been a constant shield throughout Anglo-American history: Exorbitant tolls undermine other constitutional liberties,” wrote Ginsburg, as the court sided with Tyson Timbs of Marion Indiana, whose $42,000 Land Rover SUV was seized by the state following a guilty plea for selling $385 worth of heroin to an undercover detective.

The larger development may be Ginsburg writing “Anglo-American history.” Easy, sister – don’t go overboard and allude to The Posterity at a time like this.

And, what a great time this week has been. Special people, nationwide, are getting a little justice – Juicy Smallest (whatever), R. (“Rape?”) Kelly, and maybe even Jeff Epstein.

Federal prosecutors, under former Miami U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta, broke the law when they concealed a plea agreement from more than 30 underage victims who had been sexually abused by wealthy New York hedge fund manager Jeffrey Epstein, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

While the decision marks a victory for crime victims, the federal judge, Kenneth A. Marra, stopped short of overturning Epstein’s plea deal, or issuing an order resolving the case. He instead gave federal prosecutors 15 days to confer with Epstein’s victims and their attorneys to come up with a settlement. The victims did not seek money or damages as part of the suit.

It’s not clear whether the victims, now in their late 20s and early 30s, can, as part of the settlement, demand that the government prosecute Epstein. But others are calling on the Justice Department to take a new look at the case in the wake of the judge’s ruling.

“As a legal matter, the non-prosecution agreement entered into by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Florida does not bind other U.S. Attorneys in other districts. They are free, if they conclude it is appropriate to do so, to bring criminal actions against Mr. Epstein and his co-conspirators,’’ said lawyer David Boies, representing two of Epstein’s victims who claim they were trafficked by Epstein in New York and other areas of the country.

No need to wait on a judicial decision from any District. We’re under a declared State of Emergency. Light Epstein, Acosta, and the other enemies up, Mr. Trump. Let the good times (and heads) roll.

Global Communism Change

Justin Smalley (or whatever), the celebrity hate hoaxer, has nothing on the alarmists behind global warming climate change global communism change.

The idea that climate change is producing heat records across the Earth is among the most egregious manipulations of data in the absurd global warming debate.

Americans receive a daily barrage from the fake news media and climate “experts” reporting that each and every day, week, month or year is the hottest on record due to global warming. On Feb. 7, several major newspapers carried stories of the declaration by NASA and NOAA that the past five years have been the warmest on record.

Sadly, these supposed experts use mathematical equations that do not jibe with reality over the past 140 years.

The manipulation of data is settled science. And, even if global warming was real, the proposals have nothing to do with the climate. It’s all about total economic and social control. See the Green Raw Deal for details.

Maybe these commie climate hoaxers could join Jared Smokey in prison. They could start a soap-dropping gang called “Empire Climate Hoaxers.”

Once You Go ISIS, You Can’t Come Back

Not to Alabama.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Wednesday that an Alabama woman who joined ISIS but now wants to return home with the 18-month-old son she had with her ISIS husband will not be admitted back into the United States, saying she is not a U.S. citizen.

“Ms. Hoda Muthana is not a U.S. citizen and will not be admitted into the United States,” Pompeo said in a statement. “She does not have any legal basis, no valid U.S. passport, no right to a passport, nor any visa to travel to the United States. We continue to strongly advise all U.S. citizens not to travel to Syria.”

Not to England, even; they’re blocking the brides too.

And, the ISIS brides demonstrate so much of what is wrong today. In a word, they are “faithless.” They leave the “home” country (where they never belonged anyway) for Syria and the enemy camp, willful participants in the madness. Many see nothing wrong watching others blown to pieces. But, when it’s their necks on the block, they jump and try to run. The only commitment they have is to their own selfish, moronic whims. We have enough voters, thank you. Stay. Out.

It should be this easy with all “refugees.”
