Fake Spotting Tips

Postcards from the Edge listed some factors that indicate a new CONservative celebrity is controlled opposition, aka a gatekeeper. Vox added a few more.

Inexplicable popularity with conservatives.

The first time you heard about Big Conservative Thing was probably someone in media telling you how popular it has already become. No one can explain how, and most likely nobody you know could say they knew anything about it when it was small. Their rise is described as miraculous, or a movement, but the growth was very sudden.

…

The most reliable sign is the first one, the way that they suddenly pop up out of nowhere and their “incredible rise” is celebrated by the media and accepted unquestioningly by the average conservative. And here are a few additional signs:

This isn’t their first rodeo. Look into the background of all these manufactured characters and you’ll inevitably discover a previous attempt at becoming a star, from Ben Shapiro’s playing violin on TV as a “child prodigy” to the “modeling” of various female gatekeepers.

They publish books even though they’re obviously not writers. I’ve written and published more books than most of these “bestselling authors” combined, and I’m not even particularly prolific. The one “popular book” is there to justify their marketing as a relevant intellectual figure.

…

Read the rest and know the signs. It all forms a pretty realistic heuristic.

If Only We’d Been Lower Trust Before

((())), 1973, America, trust

Abe Greenwald reports on a “shocking” poll that found 58% of Americans are out of trust and think life was better 50 years ago. Abe wants to know why.

First, life was better “for people like them”, for people like you and I, back in 1973. As for why, it’s a simple matter of numbers. In 1973, White People were approximately 85% of the American population, and they were still in control of their nation. Today, heritage Americans are a shrinking minority, and all Whites in the former US are headed for minority status in a few years. And Americans no longer control America. “(((People not like them)))” do.

They shouldn’t count on it at all, but if Americans are really lucky, then perhaps they will one day get a little outside help regaining at least a portion of their lost nation. Maybe it will look a little (or a lot) like what China is now doing to help the occupied, oppressed, and dispossessed Palestinians.

A Matter of Trust

Well, what do you know? The homogenous American people of 1970 were much more trusting of each other than the assorted Tower of Babel 2.0 USians of 2020. Even the WSJ notices now, even as they can’t find the plain answer.

But as trust theorists have dug deeper, they’ve found that this negative effect is largely correlated not with diversity itself but with segregation. When ethnic groups are concentrated in small geographical areas and have little contact with one another, distrust is high; with greater contact, the effect shrinks. And while ethnic diversity has increased in the U.S. considerably since 1980—around a 50% increase as measured by the National Equity Atlas Diversity Index—ethnic segregation has decreased somewhat.

So, it’s not diversity, it’s just the natural product of diversity? Bullshit. The cartoon picture in the article says it all. Different peoples are not the same, obviously, and they obviously resort to skepticism when dealing with others. And politics has almost nothing to do with it, nor economics; all we have now are “others.”

The America of 1970, already just beginning to feel the horrible effects of 1965, was still about 85% White European – down from about 90% twenty years earlier. Now, where are we? 58%? Whatever it is, it’s falling towards just another plurality in a sea of incompatibility from every corner of the globe. This was the plan and it worked perfectly, causing the destruction of the American Nation. We can trust that the intentions of its authors were utterly evil.

Since 1965, the US has been sold a bill of goods about the “benefits” of diversity. A new study sheds light:

Abstract

Does ethnic diversity erode social trust? Continued immigration and corresponding growing ethnic diversity have prompted this essential question for modern societies, but few clear answers have been reached in the sprawling literature. Taking this as point of departure, this article reviews the existing literature on the relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust through a narrative review and a meta-analysis of 1,001 estimates from 87 studies. The review clarifies the core concepts, highlights pertinent debates, and tests core claims from the literature on the relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust. Several results stand out from the meta-analysis. We find a statistically significant negative relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust across all studies. The relationship is stronger for trust in neighbors, and when studied in more local contexts. Covariate conditioning generally changes the relationship only slightly. The review concludes by discussing avenues for future research.

Rest assured that, despite the findings, the lies will continue.

America’s Crisis of Confidence

The story is entitled “Americans’ Confidence in Institutions Edges Up” but there’s still not much trust. And, I think, what little is there is mostly misplaced. Read the article. Here are my answers to the different trust subjects, my percentages, contrasted with those of the general public, with brief explanation.

Overall trust in “the big” is up only a little. It still lags well behind that from before the financial crisis. It’s even down versus a generation ago:

ukkhtnljaucq_wvkfgwi3g

Gallop.

Perrin and the people (with explanations):

Institution                         People %             Perrin %

Newspapers                               27                                2

Lies, lies, and more lies. They do however cover the comics pretty well. Sometimes they get happy local stories right.

Public schools                             36                                2

A few are decent and provide a real education – exactly 2%. Close them.

Banks                                            32                                  1

Organized theft gangs. Trust them to rob you. Your personal local banker may still be a nice person.

Organized labor                          28                                 33

I’m over here. These clubs do sometimes serve a worthy purpose, representing the little guy against the corrupt, government-connected corporate giants. Sometimes.

U.S. Supreme Court                      40                                  2

“The most important kind of nothing.”

Criminal justice system               27                                  0

There is no “justice” in the American system; acquittals are statistical flukes. No due process. No equal protection. No logic. Frequently, no evidence and no authority.

Congress                                         12                                  -12

How could??! I think I’m on the same page with everyone here – Gallop just overlooked the (negative) for the public.

Television news                            24                                   1

See the papers, above, minus Garfield and Dilbert.

Big business                                   21                                   5

See organized labor, above.

Small business                              70                                    85

The actual drivers of both national employment and business civility. Try hard to support Mom and Pop when you can.

Police                                              57                                    14

My 20% is a composite breakdown: Feds: 0; State: 10; Local cops: 33. This is based on my interactions with the same.

Church or organized religion    41                                    55

Another breakdown based on the “or”: God’s ordained, universal, eternal, and infallible Church: 100%; man’s rapidly declining “Organized” religious attempt at the same: 10 (when and if I can find it).

Military                                          72                                     0

America long ago won its last war. The new military can’t even defend its own HQ (see the morning of 9/11/2001), can’t win easy wars against primitives, costs waaaaay too much, does not protect your freedom, the English language, or anything else other than certain corporate profits. A politically correct, make-work, welfare jobs program and worse than useless.

Medical system                             37                                     2

A complete joke of pitiful quackery and profiteering. Don’t get sick.

Presidency                                     32                                     2

The chosen lesser loser of the Great Quadrennial Black Mass. At least gives sometimes rhetorically stirring, if pointless, speeches. Cool plane.

News on the internet                   16                                     50

It’s a 50/50 proposition. Half is factual. Half is click bait and BS. Choose wisely. You did: you’re here…

America, DC Court of Appeals, evil, government, IRS, taxes, The People, trust

April 15th, Tax Day. Well, I hear they moved the date to the 18th this year but the 15th, today, is the traditional deadline to file returns with the IRS. Yesterday in eerily timed oral arguments in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit Judge David Sentelle said, “It’s hard to find the IRS to be an agency we can trust.” The Case is True the Vote v. IRS, ___ F.3d ___, No. 14-5316 (D.C. Cir., April 14, 2016).

True and several other Tea Party groups sued the IRS for violating their civil rights. Throughout the proceedings the IRS has maintained the same disdain and arrogance they show to any ordinary taxpayer (maybe you have had the lovely experience). Except, this time, they unnerved two federal judges presiding over the arguments. At least the IRS is consistent.

The “masters of the universe” attitude, arrogance, and obstruction the IRS is famous for earned them the title of “untrustworthy”. The only word to describe them better is “evil”. Remember that next time your fill out their forms or meet with your CPA.

Now, go pay your taxes!

I want all of you to be free, safe and comfortable.  I want you to be free and safe more than comfortable.  Therefor, I suggest you all read the following story and review the disturbing pictures and videos therein: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2329089/Woolwich-attack-Two-men-hack-soldier-wearing-Help-Heroes-T-shirt-death-machetes-suspected-terror-attack.html.  The fact of the story is more disturbing (to me) than any of the gory details.

In his insane post-homicidal rant one “Michael” Adebolajo says something to the effect of “don’t trust your government.”  I agree with that, particularly for those of us in the UK and the US.  I also agree with the shooting of this animal and his accomplice and nothing else in the whole affair.

article-2329089-19F1FAAA000005DC-790_634x476

(Not quite a river of blood, yet.  The Daily Mail, UK.)

For those of you just awakening from a decades-long coma, the UK (the US and much of the West) is engaged in a series of idiotic wars of aggression against various, mostly muslim peoples around the globe.  These wars benefit the Big Club, no-one else.  They also stir up what is known as “blowback,” a phenomenon partly responsible for the deadly attack on a soldier in London in broad daylight by a couple of “native” Britains (see the story above).

Just as civilized man does not belong in the lands of barbarians, the barbarians have no place or role in our lands.  Tornados cannot be prevented.  Acts like this one in London can.  Did you notice all of the mindless sheep standing around as if nothing was out of the ordinary.  Give it a little more time, and nothing will be.  For those in Connecticut and London, this is as good as any reason I can imagine why people need to carry umbrell…er…rifles in public.

article-2329089-19F14C94000005DC-596_634x382

(As usual, one small, unarmed WOMAN is the only person capable of confronting the attackers.  Note the herd in the background.  Daily Mail.)

I suppose Powell should have said “the meat cleaver hand…”  How much more, folks?  The only answer is to insist our “leaders” leave foreign peoples alone and insist (with lethal force, if necessary) that those peoples leave us alone.

Okay, back to the Arias sentencing and whatever sports/entertainment nonsense you’re following…
