Another Demographic Shift!

“Heather” explains how to vote for someone based on your thinking that the candidate won’t/can’t win. Brilliant.

Three years ago, thousands of these Americans — many working-class, residing in the middle of the country — helped deliver the most astounding electoral surprise in modern history. Now, as they review the Trump presidency a year before his re-election, some are showing signs of turning on conventional wisdom again.

Heather, a local administrative assistant here who is married with a stroller-bound toddler, is still so embarrassed by her 2016 vote that she wasn’t comfortable revealing her last name.

“I’m ashamed to admit . . . But I’m of a more conservative bent and family. I just couldn’t vote for Hillary. But I also thought there’s no way Trump was going to win. This way, I could at least say, ‘Well I didn’t vote for her,’” she said. “I didn’t think I was doing any harm.”

While Heather isn’t sharing her conversion far and wide, she’s already decided “there’s no chance” she’d vote for Trump again. “Heavens no,” she said. “Trump basically turned me into a Democrat.”

The 2020 presidential campaign has been engrossed in a debate over which demographic groups Democrats should devote most of their attention to in order to reclaim the White House. African-Americans in urban areas? Rural voters who flipped from Barack Obama to Trump? Newly emerging but unreliable young people?

But the one pivotal group showing the most evident signs of splitting from the president are white working-class women, according to a review of polling data, focus groups and interviews with more than a dozen party strategists and voters like Heather.

There was the deal of 19: get the vote in exchange for learning to use it. Someone hasn’t kept her end of the bargain. Maybe the stellar GOP strategists will notice this trend too – maybe around 2024.

Or tax our churches? Beta gives up:

“Our campaign has been about seeing clearly, speaking honestly and acting decisively in the best interests of America,” O’Rourke wrote in a Medium post. “Though it is difficult to accept, it is clear to me now that this campaign does not have the means to move forward successfully. My service to the country will not be as a candidate or as the nominee.”

Maybe it will be as an expat!? He can swim off and find Nemo now.

This one is pretty damned good…

Let’s Get Ready to Rumblllllle: Candidate Catfight 2019! Hottie Vs. Hag!!!

First … last week I facetiously mentioned that I might review some of that modern TeeVee programming. And, I really did! This being the end of October and all, I figured there might be something spooky worth watching. Upon finding a working tube, I sat down and flipped a few channels (there are more than four now!). Soon, I discovered what I thought would be interesting entertainment. It was a show featuring a large, ornate room. Within the room was a babbling pack of psychotic retarded people, most of them exhibiting signs of demon-possession. I said, “Cool! A horror movie!” But, after watching for maybe ten minutes I realized it was just C-SPAN.

And there you have it. Congress. Washington. The Republicrats. Idiocracy + Psycho = Yo GubMint. Now, now, this isn’t another (justified) hit piece on the whole apparatus. My title alludes to some trouble brewing in the Democratic Party. Literally, there’s a hag out to get a hottie. Much like a flick worthy of Halloween, a wicked witch has her wicked sights set on the sweet Everygirl. I can’t very well leave that alone.

There are – believe this or not – a few politicians I think DO NOT look like potential street lamp ornaments. In Congress, among maybe a few others, we have: Rand Paul (R-KY); Ed Markey (D-MA), and; Tulsi “Hot Surfer Girl” Gabbard (D-HI). Rand is kind of like his father, but a little further out of time. Good guy. I know little of Markey’s positions on most issues, but the man is all over the intersection of technology creep and personal privacy. A good guy. Gabbard, in addition to be the best-looking lady in Congress, also maintains the Founders’ sane sensibilities about foreign policy. She’s also an Imperial Yankee Army Officer and she’s running for President.

I called her doom back in June when she effectively Ron Pauled herself during a debate. When asked some idiotic question about phucking around with Iran, she had this to say:

“War with Iran would be worse than war with Iraq,” said Gabbard, an Iraq War veteran. “Donald Trump and his chickenhawk cabinet—Mike Pompeo, John Bolton, and others—are creating a situation where a spark would light a war with Iran. Trump needs to get back into the Iran deal, swallow his pride, and put America first.”

This was akin to RP’s “I’m the only one on this [RNC] stage who has ever worn the uniform.” Like Paul, she handily won the debate, if polls are to be trusted. And like him, she sealed her fate. I knew the Uniparty/Deep State would deep-six her; I just didn’t know when or how.

Enter the hag…

Last week, former Secretary of Moloch, Hillary Clinton (D-Gorgoroth), opened fire on the brave, beautiful veteran. Some of you might recall that, back in 2016, Killary was defeated by The Donald (who, for his part, has made no effort to “lock her up”). Back then, she had Russia! on her brain. I suppose the condition is permanent. While the rest of the pack moved on to fake Ukraine! claims and, now, to fake, baseless, hearsay impeachment rants, Killary is still claiming everyone to the right of Mao is a Russian agent, asset, hacker, mole, or plant. Just like Trump, according to Cankles, Gabbard is a Putin protégé:

Hillary Clinton said that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is being groomed by Moscow to run as a third-party spoiler candidate in 2020 to help President Trump win reelection.

…

“They are also going to do third party again,” Clinton, 71, said. “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” Clinton said, referring to Gabbard, without mentioning the Hawaii representative by name.

“She is a favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far. That’s assuming Jill Stein will give it up, which she might not because she is also a Russian asset.”

Oops! Jill Stein too… And, you – you bots, if you support Stein or Gabbard (or Trump) (or anyone else not HRC or HRC-approved).

Democrats, politics, Tulsi Gabbard

David Catron has an interesting perspective on the lovely lady from Hawaii.

For a sense of how divorced the Democrats are from mainstream America, the collapse of Tulsi Gabbard’s presidential campaign is instructive. Gabbard is a liberal who supports banning so-called assault weapons, raising the minimum wage to $15, free college tuition, etc. But her positions on abortion and health care are relatively moderate. Moreover, she is circumspect about impeachment, the only responsible position for a sitting congresswoman, and supports withdrawing American troops from Syria. Thus, her poll numbers are tanking. This is good news for Republicans. If a liberal like Tulsi Gabbard is too moderate for today’s Democrats, they have no chance of beating Trump in 2020.

She is (was) the only one with a slim chance of competing with Trump next year. As I said, she has Ron Pauled herself. And, all this was before the Warmonger Queen unloaded. A shame.

With a predictable answer. PCR wants to know where the indictments are against the leaders of the ongoing coup.

The Republicans are simply too stupidly patriotic to indict a president, so they tell Trump, just let bygones be bygones. Don’t establish the precedent of bringing a former president and his top officials to indictments that will result in conviction and imprisonment. This, the Republicans believe, will destroy the people’s belief in their government, and the US will become just another “banana republic or African dictatorship.” To save America, Trump is being told, you have to turn your eyes away from the sedition of the Democrats and the Deep State.

In other words, he is being advised: “Let them get you.” So much for Trump’s advisors. So much for Trump appointing such stupid advisors.

This misplaced and idiotic superpatriotism immobilizes the stupid party and leaves the initiative with the determined party, a party that ignores all facts and whose media shills drown out any facts that manage to get expressed.

Trump is guilty of the undefined and unsubstantiated, and that is enough for the American media. Is it enough for the American people?

The coming collapse and instability of “the world’s only superpower” is going to be stunning.

It’s obvious they’re with the “sealed military indictments” – they don’t exist. But, “stunning” is the right word – one of them. 2033 might be an overly optimistic date.

2033, conservative, idiots, politics, Rome, terminal decline, Wharton

Many, many years ago, I applied to 2.5 colleges out of my shortlist of 4. I could have those numbers reversed, not sure ALL THESE YEARS later. I was accepted into all 5, though none of the 3 were Penn., home to the Wharton School of Globalism Business. However, Wharton (specifically) had been at least a plausible educational thought – a back-burner institute. Why? Because of the respect I had (still have, grudgingly…) for one of its alumni. Any respect for the school itself is gone now.

I am increasingly worried that 2019 feels ever more like 1929. Back then, inequality was at an all-time high. Authoritarian nationalism was on the rise. World War I had exploded the old global order without creating a new one. Then the stock market crash of October 1929 ignited the horrendous cascade of depression, fascism and World War II —arguably the worst 15 years in history.

…

Many of the future’s best jobs will require “soft skills” like teamwork and empathy, about the furthest frontier for robots.

Finally, when it comes to politics, “leadership” is the inevitable bromide to reverse the nativist, anti-immigration and anti-globalization sentiment so prominent today. But providing this leadership means more than political rhetoric. What we need is politicians who speak plainly about deep realities and difficult solutions.

We need leaders who defend technology and globalization by both explaining how they work and how societies have benefited from them. Consumers would lose big time from reversing these megatrends — and not just because of tariffs. Having everything from clothing and steel to smartphones and computer chips “made in America” sounds good — until you realize just how much more consumers would have to pay for them.

Leaders should not only show real empathy for the people who have been dislocated by technology and globalization but also present compelling plans for extending the benefits to them. Education is the answer. Issues of access and affordability are no doubt important. But we must also focus on changing education to match the jobs of tomorrow.

Are we fated to re-live the horrors of the 1930s? Certainly not. But we must acknowledge the profound challenges in front of us. “Downton Abbey” is wonderful to watch. But its underlying point is that the naïve optimism of the 1920s was breathtakingly dangerous.

That pack of BS and lies is from a Wharton deen. (DO NOT send your kids there!) Go watch the glorious faded past movie, bub. The man (I guess?) is 1,459 years out of his reckoning. It’s not 1929. It’s more like 470. I wonder if some Roman hand-wringer went about the collapsing Empire soothing the peeps with empathy, immigration, globalization, and education? Probably.

They probably had “conservative” losers (pardon the redundancy redundancy) like this guy.

What’s needed is not mere “outreach” to black, Hispanic, or Jewish voters. Conservatives ought to make elevation of African Americans, immigrants, and religious minorities so central to conservatism that all dedicated racists will be thoroughly repelled. If we can’t make them stop calling themselves the “alt-right,” because they won’t want to be associated with us, we can at least disgust them with such a focus.

Why? Mostly because it’s the right thing to do.

Conservatives don’t [blah, blah, blah]

…

To accept this reality doesn’t require one to declare that whites are all vile racists or oppressors. It doesn’t require agreeing that the U.S. is fundamentally a white supremacist nation. It just requires the sincere acceptance of two premises: First, that all humans are created equal (the official teaching of the U.S. founders and all Abrahamic religions), and second, that blacks and Hispanics have far worse outcomes in the U.S.

Next year, this fool will declare that whites are all vile racists. “I’m a moron, a cuck, and a liar, just not a racist!” I doubt any real Romans left at the end of the 5th century gave two shits about what bad names their enemies called them.

The good news is that, as I drift further from the foolish mainstream and the decayed culture, I recognize fewer and fewer of these idiots’ names.

America, politics, what's the point?

You’ll be close enough. More Americans than ever cannot identify “their” elected officials. In times gone by, this might have been a point of shame. Now, I’d say it’s just as well if nothing else.

According to a StudyFinds survey of 346 adults from across the nation, only about two in five (42%) say they know the name of at least one local member of Congress. And while most Americans (71%) can thankfully name the governor of their state, just 45% would actually recognize him or her if they saw their governor in person.

On the other hand, as Greenday said, you “gotta know the enemy.” Rah eh?

2020, Democrats, DNC, election, politics, Saudi Arabia, Tulsi Gabbard

It’s a good thing that the wise leaders of the DNC decided to kill Tulsi Gabbard’s chances for getting the Democratic nomination. In addition to putting the other sad party candidates in their places, the little lady has no problem hitting Trump with the hard truth.

The latest round of Trump tweets threatening military action in response to attacks on Saudi Arabia prompted a fiery response from a Democratic presidential contender.

Replying directly to Trump on Twitter, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) slammed the president for, in her view, seeking marching orders with regard to a potential strike against Iran following the attack on a Saudi oil plant.

“Trump awaits instructions from his Saudi masters,” Gabbard wrote. “Having our country act as Saudi Arabia’s bitch is not ‘America First.’”

Woah! Talk about Ron Paul-ing herself! The DNC mantra is “Trump Bad!,” but only as to things that don’t really exist. The deep state does not like attention called to its real operations. Doesn’t she know the value of false flag hysteria? Next, this nut will be calling for auditing or abolishing the Fed. Crazy. Good job, Hillary! Locked and loaded.
