Ron Paul on the Three Crimes

Delineated in the Constitution: piracy, counterfeiting, and treason. VAWA is, as Dr. Paul notes, utterly illegal (as are most of the Empire’s “laws”).

Another great example is the Violence Against Women Act. Passed in 1994, the Violence Against Women Act provides federal grants to, and imposes federal mandates on, state and local governments with the goal of increasing arrests, prosecutions, and convictions of those who commit domestic violence.

Like most federal laws, the Violence Against Women Act is unconstitutional. The Constitution limits federal jurisdiction to three crimes: counterfeiting, treason, and piracy. All other crimes — including domestic violence — are strictly state and local matters.

Not that the Constitution matters, at all, anymore. But, where have we read about these three “real” crimes before?

This really could be the end of women’s sports. But, at least we’re getting a better picture of the SJW social hierarchy. Trans “girls” top real girls. Get that straight – no pun intended.

When two high school athletes who were born male but identify as female took first and second place at Connecticut’s girls indoor track championship this year, it wasn’t just a local news story.

To some, it was a story of triumph and courage. The winner, a junior from Bloomfield High School, set a girls state indoor record of 6.95 seconds in the 55-meter dash, and went on to win the New England titles in both the 55-meter dash and the 300-meter dash.

To others, it was a story of shock and disappointment: Is this the end of women’s sports?

To Selina Soule, a 16-year-old runner from Glastonbury, it was personal.

A junior, Selina missed qualifying for the 55-meter in the New England regionals by two spots. Two spots, she said, that were taken by biological boys.

Had the boys who identify as girls not been allowed to compete, Selina would have placed sixth, qualifying to run the 55 in front of college coaches at the New England regionals.

Instead, she placed eighth, watching the 55 from the sidelines after qualifying in only the long jump, an event in which the transgender athletes didn’t compete.

“It’s very frustrating and heartbreaking when us girls are at the start of the race and we already know that these athletes are going to come out and win no matter how hard you try,” Selina told The Daily Signal. “They took away the spots of deserving girls, athletes … me being included.”F

While the debate over transgender athletes and fairness is complex, the situation in Connecticut has brought forth another complicating layer: Plenty of parents and high school girls appear to object to the participation of biological boys in girls sports, but fearing public bullying and backlash, they’re not speaking out.

Publicly, at least.

The stakes of remaining silent are high: Policies are being formed in real time at the local, state, and federal levels regarding transgender individuals, student athletes, and sports.

Most prominently, on March 13, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced HR 5, the Equality Act, a bill that would add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” as protected classes under federal civil rights law.

The legislation would create a civil right for male athletes to self-identify as females at any time, critics say, without any evidence of physical changes to their bodies.

Private schools. Private sporting leagues. It’s past time to hop off the dead popular and “legal” culture. With this issue, second place is dead last.

Count on them to fight fang and claw to get their black-robed Gypsy servants to keep the blood flowing now that State after State curtails child murder.

The measure, approved by the Alabama House of Representatives, sets prison terms of between 10 and 99 years for doctors who perform abortions.

The only exception would be instances where the mother at serious risk or where the child would not survive outside the womb because of some lethal condition.

The measure needs approval by the state’s Republican-controlled senate before it can be signed into law by Republican Governor Kay Ivy.

Deeply conservative and religious Alabama would then file an appeal to any successful legal challenge in the US Supreme Court, hoping the case sets a new precedent overturning legal abortion nationwide.

“This bill is simply about Roe v. Wade,” said its author, Republican representative Terri Collins, during debates on the chamber floor.

“The decision that was made back in 1973 would not be the same decision that was decided upon today if you re-looked at the issue,” Collins said.

Conservatives are counting on support at the Supreme Court, where liberal justices are in a minority after the arrival of two conservative members appointed by President Donald Trump.

While the Alabama measure is seen as particularly draconian, at least 28 US states have introduced more than 300 measures since the start of the year limiting abortion rights, according to activists.

Kentucky and Mississippi are two states that have banned abortions as soon as a fetus’s heartbeat is detectable, or around the sixth week of pregnancy. Similar measures are being adopted in Georgia, Ohio, Missouri and Tennessee.

Are conservatives about to start conserving something, something of supreme importance? I’ll be. BTW, if all goes well, certain parties will get desperate. Stand by the stakes and garlic.

Aiding, Abetting, and Broken Ribs

I may switch over to all fiction soon as I tire of writing the same true stories over and over again. On the one hand, I’m glad the DOJ had the sense to charge a Massachusetts judge for helping a criminal invader escape justice.

A federal grand jury in Boston on Thursday indicted a Newton District Court judge and a now-retired state court officer on obstruction of justice charges for allegedly helping an undocumented immigrant evade ICE custody in the Newton courthouse last year.

The indictment names Judge Shelley M. Richmond Joseph, 51, and Court Officer Wesley MacGregor, 56, as the defendants. MacGregor retired from his job last month. The state Supreme Judicial Court suspended Joseph on Thursday.

It’s the manner of the indictment – stock obstruction and a crazy “conspiracy” theory – that bothers me.

Screenshot 2019-04-25 at 4.36.02 PM

I see nothing about the very specific 8 U.S.C. § 1324 (aiding, abetting, and harboring illegal aliens). Given that the immigration is tantamount to an invasion, to war, this charge would be the closest we have to sedition or treason by way of helping the enemy. In other words, it might pass (my) Constitutional muster (as if that matters…). I wonder if the Trump DOJ even has a copy of the U.S.C. or U.S.C.A. I wonder more and more about this administration.

At least they’re pursuing these two criminals, even as they persecute an honest American who tried to do Trump’s job for him. Aid and abet – sloppy indictment and Mass. liberals howling about “state’s rights.” Physically deter invaders – get arrested on fake weapons charges … then, in jail, have your ribs broken as a “thank you” from an ungrateful nation.

The leader of an armed militia that spent two months rounding up migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border before he was arrested on federal weapons charges was hospitalized after a jailhouse attack, his lawyer and authorities said on Wednesday.

Larry Hopkins, 69, whose group of self-styled citizen border cops drew condemnation from civil liberties advocates, suffered broken ribs in the beating by fellow inmates on Tuesday at the Dona Ana County Detention Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, according to his attorney, Kelly O’Connell.

Dunno, it’s almost starting to feel like this isn’t nation anymore. It all might make for an interesting novella, eh?

This will be a Trump sanity test. Why on earth would he reauthorize a program that spies(d) on all Americans in general and him in particular?

Perhaps the weaponization of the NSA database was the biggest research project we ever took on. That said, CTH prudence requires a lack of commentary. For a background on this story see the [“SIDE NOTE“] previously presented HERE. “The candle is not worth the flame.” (WASHINGTON DC) The National Security Agency has recommended that the […]

Lindsey Raises a Red Flag

It’s good to see that Graham has completely recovered from his fit of manliness during the Kavanaugh hearing. And, it’s good to see RepubliCONS like Graham progressing. Instead of waiting, posturing, and then caving to the Dems, they’re now actively proving their uselessness.

Graham is hoping to get bipartisan support for the bill, which he said will provide grants to states that implement “red flag laws.”

Senate Judiciary Committee chair Lindsey Graham told BuzzFeed News he will start crafting legislation next week to expand police powers to preemptively seize firearms from people believed to be a danger to themselves or others.

Graham is angling to get bipartisan support for his bill, and has been in discussions with Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal. Neither would outline specifics Thursday beyond saying it will be an original piece of legislation. Graham said work on hammering out the contents of the bill will begin next week.

…

“The benefits are enormous. If you just stop one, that’s enormous. And there has to be due process, we all get that,” Graham said last week at the end of a Judiciary Committee meeting studying red flag laws.

Democrats widely welcomed ERPO legislation, while also saying more reforms are needed.

“I think that Republicans know they can’t do nothing any longer. Republicans know they can’t go into 2020 exposed on the issue of guns like they were in 2018,” said Sen. Chris Murphy. “I don’t think red flags law are sufficient from a policy perspective or a political perspective. They’re diversionary.”

Other Democrats were surprised that a powerful Republican like Graham would be willing to try to pass any kind of red flag law legislation.

Preemptive stupidity to surprise even the Democrats. Yay! And, no, Mr. and Mrs. Libertarian, there’s no need for any of this nor any legal authority for this (or any other gun control).

Now, if “dangerous people” applies to the police and the military, then maybe there’s something there. Of course, we all know who’s dangerous to Washington. We all know that they are dangerous to us, especially the swishy, ultra-leftwing “conservative” types.

Ha! Here we go:

From the Washington Post’s Tech Page.

Federal regulators investigating Facebook for mishandling its users’ personal information have set their sights on the company’s chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, exploring his past statements on privacy and weighing whether to seek new, heightened oversight of his leadership.

The discussions about how to hold Zuckerberg accountable for Facebook’s data lapses have come in the context of wide-ranging talks between the Federal Trade Commission and Facebook that could settle the government’s more than year-old probe, according to two people familiar with the discussions. Both requested anonymity because the FTC’s inquiry is confidential under law.

If there’s to be no prison, then how about this: each individual account compromise amounts to a single regulatory violation, max fine for each violation, and the problem is $olved.

Here, at last, is the great disappointment of the Democrats:

MUELLER’S “RUSSIA” REPORT

Read through ALL of that…

It was the 448-page version of what Barr released last month in his substantially shorter summary.

My summary (with future extrapolation):

  • Russians attempted interference in the US 2016 election (as the US attempts the same worldwide in numerous countries and their affairs)
  • There was no collusion between Trump and Russia
  • There probably was a collusion between Team Hillary and someone Russian
  • There was definitely collusion by and among the Deep State to rig the election and defeat (later, frame or bog down) Trump
  • There was no Obstruction of Justice by Trump
  • This whole case was BS from the start and now it’s over
  • The Deep State is desperate
  • They need not be … no sealed indictments, no GITMO, no treason trials
  • Little if anything will be accomplished for Americans – On with the More of the Same Show!
  • Trump will be reelected in 2020
  • More of the same … for maybe a decade or so longer. Then…

Bribery, in other words. This is how it works. This is “your” system. I’m a little surprised that some people are shocked to discover it just now.

Each year, state lawmakers across the U.S. introduce thousands of bills dreamed up and written by corporations, industry groups and think tanks.

Disguised as the work of lawmakers, these so-called “model” bills get copied in one state Capitol after another, quietly advancing the agenda of the people who write them.

A two-year investigation by USA TODAY, The Arizona Republic  and the Center for Public Integrity reveals for the first time the extent to which special interests have infiltrated state legislatures using model legislation.

USA TODAY and the Republic found at least 10,000 bills almost entirely copied from model legislation were introduced nationwide in the past eight years, and more than 2,100 of those bills were signed into law.

The investigation examined nearly 1 million bills in all 50 states and Congress using a computer algorithm developed to detect similarities in language. That search – powered by the equivalent of 150 computers that ran nonstop for months – compared known model legislation with bills introduced by lawmakers.

The phenomenon of copycat legislation is far larger. In a separate analysis, the Center for Public Integrity identified tens of thousands of bills with identical phrases, then traced the origins of that language in dozens of those bills across the country.

Yes, that is precisely how democracy works. “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.” – Mencken.

It’s a shame, how much they hate.

The United States is already an extreme outlier when it comes to the death penalty. We are in the company of the world’s very worst human rights abusers when it comes to the number of people we execute: China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Pakistan, Egypt, and Somalia. More than a hundred countries (that is, most of them) worldwide have abolished the death penalty; some others have death penalty laws on the books, but don’t utilize them.

They just don’t like the good company we’re in. That’s hate. That’s literally worse than Hitler. That’s cruel and unusual.
