Vladimir Putin again attempts friendship with Trump and the rest of the West:
Russian President Vladimir Putin told his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump in a New Year letter on Sunday that Moscow was ready for dialogue on a “wide-ranging agenda”, the Kremlin said following a series of failed attempts to hold a new summit.
…
“Vladimir Putin stressed that the (Russia – United States) relations are the most important factor for providing strategic stability and international security,” a Kremlin statement said.
“He confirmed that Russia is open for dialogue with the USA on the most wide-ranging agenda.”
Moscow has said one of the key issues it wanted to discuss with the United States is Washington’s plans to withdraw from a Cold War era nuclear arms pact.
The man is an eternal optimist. Let’s pray Trump answers in kind.

Nobody really does it like PCR:
Why are citizens so powerless that their governments can elevate the interest of foreigners far above the interests of citizens?
There are a number of reasons. The main one is that the people are disarmed and are propagandized to accept violence from the state against them, but not to deliver violence in return against the governments’ illegal use of force against citizens.
In short, until the conquered peoples of Europe kill the police, who serve the ruling elite and delight in inflicting brutality against those whose taxes pay their salaries, take the weapons from the police, and kill the corrupt politicians who have sold them out, the peoples of Europe will remain a conquered and oppressed peoples.
Some time past Chris Hedges, one of the remaining real journalists, made it clear that without violent revolution to excise the tumor of government superiority over the people, freedom throughout the West is dead as a doornail.
Harsh but true – and nicely couched in EUROPEAN terms, just in case… No arguments here.
Other thoughts of the week:
*I fully support shutting down the government – permanently is okay with me.
*Without a shutdown, criminal justice reform is probably a good idea (though I haven’t seen the details).
*Wall or No Wall? The 2020 question.
*Good riddance to another swamp rat.
*Etc…..

***Note*** I’ve got a lot of drafts sitting around, some in existence and unpublished since 2013. It became obvious to me that I’m in no hurry to get around to them. But, they’ve survived various draft purges over the years. If they’re that important I can just come back and elaborate later. For now, I offer them, kind of as-is, in this, a lightning publishing round. The fun will continue while supplies last. Make of these what you will. Or not. I don’t care.

Aha! I found this, just a list of links to past news stories. The FDA communist assault continues, though some fight it. I’ve covered that. I even published a submitted CFR comment. Entertain yourselves, particularly if you’re in the industry, with the following (if operable – not checking):

There will be more on this later. As-is, a short from Feb. of 2013:
Repudiate the entire federal debt and all other debts in the U.S. Take other steps to keep from repeating. National bankruptcy is easier than one might suppose. It’s critical now; the debt, all of it, is fake, evil, and deadly. Let 2019 be the Year of Jubilee.

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are gone. We have no representation. This is, updating in Dec. 2018, about five years too late. And, it doesn’t really matter anyway. It’s a little late for libertarian takes, right or left, on liberty in America. What we lost. Good men, still around and working for the remnant, now privately. Bless them both.

delete your Facebook account, deleted, Facebook, freedom, good riddance, idiots, social media, spying
I just pulled the trigger on Zuckerberg’s spy site and Lordy it feels good. If you’re still on history’s most invasive voluntary spying network, I hope you’re happy. And I hope you’re aware of how they track you. My advice would be to leave. Here’s how:
Over the past year or so I slowly drew down my presence, bit by bit, until all that remained was a sealed list of friends and admin abilities on two FP forums. I also used the “service” to like and promote TPC columns. No more.
Start with Logging In

That the stock birthday listed on the startup page is after I graduated from high school says something.
Log In and Get Harrassed
This greeted me immediately as it has for the past few weeks. I’m toning it down and they want more info. and control. Eff You, Zuck!

Really Bothersome:

I saw this before I posted my final (to FB) PNW video.
A Final Consult with the “Secret” Info. File

You really must review the files. Despite all my recent cleanups, I still had to do a final sweep before,
Proceeding to Delete:

Here We Go!

Begone, Evil!

And, Done.

Of course, of course, it will take 14 days – assuming they really delete it. I’ve heard they try to wrangle people back in. On Day 15 or 16 I will do a confirmation test.
I will surely miss all of my friends, real and digital, from FB. There’s no telling how long I’ll have to go without the following: cat videos; dinner pictures; friend requests from hookers, robots, creeps, and spies; raving mad political, social, and religious commentary; pointless low-IQ idiocy, and; the general angst that comes from being watched by a narcissistic evil genius who refers to his users as “dumb f**ks.”
Goodbye and good riddance!

As promised, today’s work at TPC:
The mass, mainstream, slanted, biased, dishonest, yellow, establishment, corporate media has become the American equivalent and embodiment of Grima Wormtongue – slithering, slinking, whispering, and lying – ever misleading the just and the honest for the benefit of other masters. Some, tiring of the deception, bluntly call it what it is: fake news. This doesn’t sit well with Fake News, Inc. To wit:
Marjorie Pritchard, of the Boston Globe, made an impassioned call for editorials “denouncing what the newspaper called a ‘dirty war against the free press.’” And I, as your C.F. Floyd Feature Writer of National Affairs, hereby answer the call!
Estimates indicate that around 100 newspapers, large and small, will respond this week. Reckon TPC as number 101, kind of. Alas that I cannot denounce a war, dirty or otherwise, against the free press as such simply does not exist. Rather, consider this my part in the free war against the dirty press.
This all started with a Tweet from the President back in February. (Actually, it started years ago with the corruption of the mainstream media, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves). Tweeted Donald J. Trump: “The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!”
…
I felt this dissent important enough to forward to someone. My recent email:
Hon. Donald J. Trump
The White House
August 16, 2018
Dear Mr. President:
First, thank you for all that you do for America and for our beloved freedoms.
Second, today I understand that some 350 establishment newspapers, large and small, feature editorials excoriating you and your defense of the free people. This being done under the false guise of defending the “free press.” Some are even making claims about the First Amendment, apparently having lately discovered the Constitution. In doing so they prove they are not only the enemies of the people but organized and coordinated enemies. They prove they can offer nothing except Fake News.
Consider my column at The Piedmont Chronicles, http://www.thepiedmontchronicles.com/2018/08/perrin-lovett-one-of-many-free-war.html, editorial No. 351 (or 101 per original estimates). It is markedly different than the others.
Some of us – MOST of us – stand with you and your mission. While cheering your election I did maintain some differences with you here and there concerning policy. And I still do. However, my understanding (and appreciation) is now clearer as to the total scope of your work. In short: MAGA!
Thank you again for all that you do. May God bless you each day and may God bless America.
Sincerely,
Perrin Lovett
C.F. Floyd Writer for National Affairs, TPC

≈ Comments Off on From TPC: Independence From What?
Aaaaand, it hit exactly on the Fourth!
Happy Independence Day, America! Or Independence Week, the week of July Fourth – I’m not sure about the week’s publishing schedule. I truly appreciate the comments, here an on the socials, on last week’s installment about the Vampires of Austin. One mentioned that the subject was “very disturbing and incredibly sad.” Yes, yes it was and was so intended. So, too, might be the tone of this column; consider it a call to festivity and a warning.
This Fourth is the 242nd birthday of that unique nation we know as The United States of America. For Americans, it is good and right to celebrate, so long as the celebration is for the right reasons. Folks, while hot dogs, beer, and fireworks are worthy accompaniment for Independence Day, they are not the heart or focus of the holiday. Freedom is. Freedom and tradition.
On July 4, 1776, a small group of men, with vested interests, signed off on a Declaration against the King of England. They essentially gave him the finger. They were serious enough about freedom to risk a war with the world’s most powerful Empire.
Today, are we that serious? Are we serious at all? What, exactly, do modern Americans celebrate independence from? From rule by the British, sure. I do note that many, many Americans are held in rapt attention by Royal weddings and Downton Abbey. But that’s cultural. We are free from the long list of injuries and usurpations set forth in the Declaration – as committed, then, by George III. Go down that list and see how we’re really doing all these years later – with the usurpations of Washington.
