Some in Iraq think the U.S. government is in bed with ISIS. It is, unless it’s not – as complicated as it is dangerous and stupid. This apparently is what passes for foreign policy in the 21st Century. It all matches domestic economic policy.

At home the meddling is immeasurable. Upon getting around the pointless debt ceiling … again … the government ran up the national debt $674 Million – in one day.

The debt cost never stops growing. Neither does any other program costs. The fools at United Healthcare admit they didn’t imagine the costs of Obamacare would rise so high so fast. They, being part of the larcenous Big Club lobbied for the Act. Now they regret it. Fools.

Citi Group says we’re in for a recession next year. Next year they will say it started this year.

Retailers know we are depressed now. Black Friday sales were nearly dismal this year. Except for gun sales – they keep smashing records as intelligent Americans prepare for the inevitable. This offends the unintelligent, the criminals, and the left. Much of life offends them.

White college students nationwide, tired of being hated by the system merely because they exist, are organizing student unions. Liberal administrative leaches, “educators” and the rabble that passes for the student body are all so offended.

Having had enough of the crybabies and fake students, the President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University has told them to grow up and shut up. His words bear repeating in full (this is truly great):

This is Not a Day Care. It’s a University!

Dr. Everett Piper, President

Oklahoma Wesleyan University

This past week, I actually had a student come forward after a university chapel service and complain because he felt “victimized” by a sermon on the topic of 1 Corinthians 13. It appears that this young scholar felt offended because a homily on love made him feel bad for not showing love. In his mind, the speaker was wrong for making him, and his peers, feel uncomfortable.

I’m not making this up. Our culture has actually taught our kids to be this self-absorbed and narcissistic. Any time their feelings are hurt, they are the victims. Anyone who dares challenge them and, thus, makes them “feel bad” about themselves, is a “hater,” a “bigot,” an “oppressor,” and a “victimizer.”

I have a message for this young man and all others who care to listen. That feeling of discomfort you have after listening to a sermon is called a conscience. An altar call is supposed to make you feel bad. It is supposed to make you feel guilty. The goal of many a good sermon is to get you to confess your sins—not coddle you in your selfishness. The primary objective of the Church and the Christian faith is your confession, not your self-actualization.

So here’s my advice:

If you want the chaplain to tell you you’re a victim rather than tell you that you need virtue, this may not be the university you’re looking for. If you want to complain about a sermon that makes you feel less than loving for not showing love, this might be the wrong place.

If you’re more interested in playing the “hater” card than you are in confessing your own hate; if you want to arrogantly lecture, rather than humbly learn; if you don’t want to feel guilt in your soul when you are guilty of sin; if you want to be enabled rather than confronted, there are many universities across the land (in Missouri and elsewhere) that will give you exactly what you want, but Oklahoma Wesleyan isn’t one of them.

At OKWU, we teach you to be selfless rather than self-centered. We are more interested in you practicing personal forgiveness than political revenge. We want you to model interpersonal reconciliation rather than foment personal conflict. We believe the content of your character is more important than the color of your skin. We don’t believe that you have been victimized every time you feel guilty and we don’t issue “trigger warnings” before altar calls.

Oklahoma Wesleyan is not a “safe place”, but rather, a place to learn: to learn that life isn’t about you, but about others; that the bad feeling you have while listening to a sermon is called guilt; that the way to address it is to repent of everything that’s wrong with you rather than blame others for everything that’s wrong with them. This is a place where you will quickly learn that you need to grow up.

This is not a day care. This is a university!

OKWU might be the ideal place to go should you find yourself in the market for actual higher education. Impressive.

On the trivial but exciting side of “education” UGA is rumored to be higher Kirby Smart as its new head football coach. Mark Richt fans (legion) want him to consider running for governor of Georgia. I suspect he is too good a man to stoop down to the politicians’ level.

Speaking of the pols, there’s a big election looming. I’ll bet your favorite candidate has actionable plans ready to deal with all of these problems. That was a joke …

The Times They Are A Changing

If one diverts one’s attention from felons catching footballs or running for president, the signs of financial fallout and societal decay abound in America.

The middle class is broke and vanishing at an alarming rate. Forty percent of working Americans do not meet the $28,000 federal standard for poverty qualification. And, again, those are people who are working. The real rate of unemployment in this country is staggering – probably close to 20%. Those poor without jobs and those marginally employed make ends barely meet via debt and government subsidies. Almost 50 Million are on food stamps.

The government caused a lot of the problems. Fiat money backed by nothing, runaway spending, burdensome taxes and regulations, and job-destroying programs like NAFTA and ObamaTrade have filed the growth of the government, select corporations and a wealthy, well-connected few. The lower, middle and upper-middle classes have been run through the ringer.

Whole Industries are changing. Everything that can be outsourced overseas is. No jobs for us. Everything that can be automated is. No jobs. Insane levels of immigration pushes native citizens out of the labor force. No jobs.

The jobs that remain for the people are low paying, bereft of benefits, and, increasingly, temporary (permanently temporary).  Those jobs too are cut whenever possible.

For years, decades the prosperity script was: go to college; get a good company job; buy a nice house; buy a nice car, and; have a family. Today, there are few corporate jobs to be had and they treat you like shit and pay you similarly. All those other things can only be accomplished by going into ridiculous levels of debt. All this is encouraged by the government and the Big Club. Theirs is a bastardized version of capitalism – corporatism – as bad for the free as communism.

Increasingly, many of the formerly normal concepts have become worthless. College education isn’t anymore. Schools used to educate young people. Now they mold them into pathetic, emotionally challenged wimps. These folks are not fit for employment or much else. And, many (maybe most, now) who do get jobs are employed in areas which do not require formal education anyway. Again, its only those lucky enough to find the jobs.

America is on edge, a time bomb waiting to go off.  All that is needed is either a trigger event(s) or enough realization by the people of how had they’ve been shafted the bomb goes off. Unpleasant to contemplate.

Rather than attempt to avert the disaster our “leaders” do everything conceivable to hasten the day of reckoning. Stupidity and evil are constantly on display in D.C. and mirrored throughout larger society.

I have written about this before:

These troubles will ultimately resolve themselves. After the inevitable big national bankruptcy we will have the chance for a reset. This should include universal debt repudiation and a return to a real monetary and financial system based on the free market. If done right there will be no room or need for any government meddling.

This future fresh start is the silver lining to look forward too. Make the best of the wild ride until then.

I am optimistic about the future though maybe not the immediate future. What to do until then?

The best lesson I ever got in college came in the way of side advice from a professor, the legendary C. F. Floyd. He said, “get your life out of sync with the rest of the world as fast as possible.” If the rest of the world falls apart, you need not participate.

b0248deb731ac51fa6f939fdf31e8b8a

Unnatural and deadly. Google.

I’m a big fan of Jame Altucher and Farnoosh Brock, both of whom rail against college for college’s sake and conventional, mythical employment. See if you agree with their reasoning and if their ideas are compatible with your life.

Learn what you want to not what you “need” to. Don’t go into debt. Don’t support a government bent on killing you. Don’t sacrifice family time slaving for a soulless corporation which really hates you. Pay no heed to the entertainment/distraction industry and their efforts to blind you.

Change yourself a little and the Big changes you encounter won’t hurt as much. Be yourself. Be free.

Alex Jones requested this video be disseminated to as many people as possible.  Ergo, I bring it to you.  I hate that he is right so often about such terrible things.  Watch the following relatively short video and pay attention to the pictures shown therein: Proof Boston Marathon Bombing is False Flag Cover-Up.  Then read the following: http://www.infowars.com/breaking-police-confirm-infowars-photos-of-boston-suspects/.

Are these men the bombers?  Is there a suspect?  No suspect?  Can’t find their scapegoat?

All photos are courtesy of Alex Jones and Infowars.com.  Thanks, Alex.  Keep up the heat!

My sources in MA tell me cellphone service was disrupted for hours following the bombings, allegedly due to proactive interruption by the service providers.  This means they shut down the system.  It did not crash under the strain of too many calls.  Why?  Why block communication at a time when people really need to get messages to each other?  Did the companies do this on their own? Or, did someone do it for them?

If this is the work of real, independent terrorists, wouldn’t all this foolish interference make their work so much easier?

This is your government (and its Big Club masters) at work.  Remember this next election when the Dems and Rupes come a callin.

This post rambles from subject to subject.  Be forewarned.

Drones…

Just last night I thrilled you, my dear readers, with a few news stories concerning the law.  While Attorney General Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder refuses to prosecute super-rich banksters for criminal wrong-doing, he has no problem using drones to murder “ordinary” Americans for any reason or no reason.  Well, in his defense, He said the drones would only be used to thwart catastrophic events like the 9/11/2001 or Pearl Harbor attacks.  I don’t believe him.  It doesn’t matter since he’s not in charge of when the triggers are squeezed.

This morning I was listening to the radio and had the privilege of hearing my friend Austin Rhodes (WGAC, 580 AM, Augusta) give his morning commentary.  He initially praised Senator Rand Paul (Ron’s son) for his filibuster yesterday which targeted the administration’s dystopian law enforcement policies.  Then he surprised me.  He, playing devil’s advocate, asked if a drone strike on David Koresh (remember him?) in 1993 would have prevented the later bloodshed at Koresh’s Seventh Day Adventist Church in Waco, Texas.  At first I was indignant but then I realized the value of his question.  The ultimate answer is “who knows?”  No-one does for certain.

It is my opinion that the government was out to get Koresh and his senior worshippers and would have slaughtered them all anyway.  Austin and I disagree on the nature of the events that unfolded in Waco twenty years ago.  That’s the beauty of America, we can agree to disagree.

There was much disagreement in early 1993, regarding the pre-assualt on the church.  For instance, the warrant obtained by the Imperial stormtroopers was defective.  Perhaps they could not decide on what, if anything, was wrong with Koresh and Co.  That might explain the defects in the law sited to obtain the warrant.  The local Sheriff and the State of Texas disagreed with the feds that crimes were being committed in the church.  A JAG officer (military attorney), when asked about the legality of deploying military assets for this domestic law enforcement “operation,” disagreed with his inquirers.  He reported the scheme was illegal, a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act, etc.  The first Stormtroopers on the scene must have disagreed about the wisdom of carrying communication devices in case something went wrong, whether to open fire immediately upon exiting their horse trailer (official police version), and whether the church members would return fire.

In the end, the dissenters were silenced.  The rest is history.  As I recall the Empire had several grounds for the War in Waco: 1) income tax evasion; 2) illegal drugs; 3) illegal firearms; and 4) the abuse of children.  I think they eventually proved the tax count as they can prove that against almost anyone due to the psychotic nature of our tax laws and regulations.  I think there was no evidence of the guns or drugs – any existing specimens would have been destroyed in the government’s fire.  As for the children, while I recall some survivors insisted there had been some sort of impropriety, most (all?) of the children were killed in the fire or crushed to death beneath the Army’s 70-ton tank.  Some may have been shot by snipers.  Anyway, there wasn’t a lot of evidence after the fact.

Still, none of this answers Austin’s question.  I’ll pose a question which is easy to answer definitively: Would a drone strike on Rev. Koresh been legal?  Two questions, really – Would the drone strike have been ethical?  The answer to both questions is a certain “NO!”

The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution is clear – “No person shall be … deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law…”  (Emphasis added).  The Fourteenth Amendment backs up the Fifth’s Due Process provision.  These concepts date back the Magna Carta in 1215.  The truth is eternal, it remains the same in 1215, 1791, 1993, or 2013.  The theory is that if the government wants to kill someone, they must adhere to a certain process.  We generally refer to the key part of the process as a trial (Jury, evidence, and stuff).  The theory jives with what that crazy carpenter, Jesus Christ, talked about twelve centuries before King John admitted his authority was not arbitrary.

For those of you who might have heard Austin and taken his question as a simple endorsement by mistake, how about this: Would Sheriff Whittle’s use of a drone against Scott Dean saved us the trouble and expense of a trial?  He was convicted, after all, by twelve wise citizens.  The fact of his innocence and his accuser’s later recantation are irrelevant for this discussion.  For those of you fortunate enough not to live in Cornfield County, Scott Dean was a County Commissioner.  He adopted some girls.  One of the girls, a teenager with a history of lying in court, accused him of a heinous crime.  He denied any guilt but was convicted none the less.  He went to prison.  Then, his lying adopted daughter, safely out of the country, admitted she made the story up and Dean was in fact innocent.

Since the recent revelation of Dean’s innocence I’m sure the twelve men and women who sent him to prison have the utmost difficulty sleeping at night.  Can you imagine the Sheriff’s guilt and shame had he used a drone instead of the law?  Natural Law and its proper extensions in the corporeal world are important.  “I’d give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!”  Saint Thomas More, A Man For All Seasons, 1966.

Due Process of law is a Natural Right to which every person is entitled when human laws exist.  This was obvious to earlier generations of Americans.

Too Big…

In my recent second installment of Slavery In America, https://perrinlovett.wordpress.com/2013/03/05/slavery-in-america-part-ii-of-iii/, I mentioned the Big Club members who are invested in our modern plantation.  The giant banks are charter members of the club.  I mentioned their immunity from criminal prosecution last night.  It seems they are too big to fail, too big to jail, and they are rapidly sucking up all the wealth in this country.  See this story: http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/corporatism-a-system-of-control-designed-by-the-monopoly-men-of-the-global-elite.  It’s about “corporatism,” the fascists’ bastardization of capitalism.  It’s an excellent article from an eye-opening site.

It Could Be Worse…

We could all be stuck in a cage and abandoned at the car wash…

Yeah, ramblin more than normal… 🙂
