Done deal. They’re going to do something, probably something spectacular if understated (underhanded). The precious GDP, as daily measured by the stock market indexes, must be saved at all costs.

Stocks took another steep dive Friday, deepening a multi-day rout fueled by fears about the coronavirus’ impact on the global economy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 357 points on Friday, capping a week in which the blue chip index fell 3,583 points or 12.4%. The Dow is down 16.3% from its recent peak on Feb. 12.

The S&P 500 stock index lost 11.5% for the week and is now down 14.6% from the all-time high it reached only last week.

From Repo operations to Sicko tactics. What times! If you’re not a bankster, sorry but you’re on your own. Get one of those trendy masks.

Hey! Maybe we’ll get free masks when we file ourtaxes.

I knew it! Here comes the fake money carpet-bombing to solve the ills of the Coronavirus plague.

Former Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh said Friday he expects the Fed and other central banks around the world to act soon in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Warsh, occasionally rumored to be a candidate for Fed chairman after Jerome Powell’s term expires, spoke Friday morning to CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” He recommended the Fed act as quickly as Sunday to assuage financial markets that have been in an aggressive swoon all week as the virus has spread.

Too Ill to Fail:

Guggenheim Partners global CIO Scott Minerd tells Axios the fallout from the coronavirus outbreak could be “worse than the financial crisis.”

Why it matters: Minerd called out the “cognitive dissonance” in markets as stock prices hit new all-time highs in mid-February, saying in an open letter that he had never “seen anything as crazy as what’s going on right now.”

The intrigue: As a member of the New York Fed’s investor advisory committee, Minerd says he’s been contacted by officials and is expecting a statement regarding “some sort of monetary coordination.” This likely means the world’s central banks are planning to provide interest rate cuts or additional stimulus.

I assume that this means it’s already a done deal. My estimate is for at least $10 Trillion in new funny money – for the banksters. The people, infected, sick, dying, or otherwise, will receive their usual allotment: $0.00 or 0.00%.

Confirming Another Conspiracy

Given enough time, almost all conspiracy theories turn out to be fact. For years, some have suggested that the CIA is a major player both in organized crime and in the drug import business. A case from 1985 lends credence to the views.

Killed by a cartel. Betrayed by his own? US re-examines murder of federal agent featured in ‘Narcos’. Federal authorities assess new witness claims that a DEA official and CIA operative were tied to DEA agent Enrique Camarena’s 1985 murder in Mexico.

I’m sure there’s a lot of assessment going on, of the CYA variety. Why, again, do we have these alphabet agencies?

Coronavirus, flying, idiots, travel

Flying commercial hasn’t been fun in nearly twenty years. I avoid it at almost all costs. Thanks, globos! Anyway, a couple in the frozen north found out the extremes that idiots will go to in order to make it even more uncomfortable.

A FAMILY of five say they were kicked off a plane just before takeoff over fears their coughing toddler could be infected with coronavirus.

Canadian Emmanuel Faug, his wife Clémentine Ferraton and their three kids boarded a flight from Quebec City to Paris on February 23.

However, it’s been reported fellow passengers then asked Air Transat cabin crew to question the family over 21-month-old Lila’s coughing.

Quebec to Paris – that’s problematic. Can’t drive it in a car. Boats take way too long. And – I’ve checked – a really nice charter to France runs around $80,000 – each way. For those tempted to fly internationally with the commoners, best have your paying coughing papers on hand. Had I been Faug, I might have called the police and reported that, just maybe to me, some of the other passengers looked and acted a lot like terrorists. Uh, for saaaafety and so forth.

Taxing Sidewalks for Obesity

America, fat, health, obesity

Or some such nonsense. Communism is the only solution ever floated by our insane caste of elites and experts. It’s the go-to for “climate change”, and now for obesity.

Dietz faulted the government for not pushing for more measures to promote physical activity and better eating. Building more sidewalks and passing a national tax on sugary beverages could make a big difference, he said.

Taxes and sidewalks… Well, I guess the gubmit best act as there is absolutely nothing the individual can do to improve his own health. Case closed…

42% of US adults are obese, up from whenever the last survey was conducted (which was also up, etc, etc). Something like 70% of the public is overweight – meaning just too heavy. Obese means severely overweight. 10% of adults are grossly obese. That’s about 27 million people. What does that mean? Really, really severely overweight?

Once again, I propose two simple solutions that do not involve taxes: 1) eat less, 2) move around some. It occurs to me that, despite writing the same things for years, the problem keeps getting worse. I may, in the future, employ reverse psychology.

The billion and trillion-dollar variety. Check out this site.

From the mere millions to the Trillion$, “your” government and it’s satanic owners prop up their favorite companies. Note: this site does not include the subsidies to the banks from the Fed (introduce an order of magnitude to represent that). So, where are all the conservatives who wanted to end welfare?

Steve Sailer ran the numbers on the baseball greats. Does this list surprise anyone?

I went on to point out that the eight highest-achieving careers, according to the composite Wins Above Replacement (WAR) metric for estimating the best all-around players at the popular Baseball Reference website, belong to Ruth, Walter Johnson, Cy Young, Barry Bonds, Willie Mays, Ty Cobb, Hank Aaron, and Roger Clemens, all of whom were extremely famous during their careers among fans who had never heard of WAR or James’ own rival composite statistic: Win Shares.

Based on the WSJ headline, I was going to say something like “watch these students thrive.” Kind of like the city that took everyone off social security and saw a surge in retirement savings. Anyway, this schooling issue is in Hong Kong. They’d have phenomenal results regardless of what they did.

Concerns about coronavirus have led to a two-month school closure for the city’s 800,000 students, prompting a crash course in digital learning.

Instead of calling off lessons, many schools expect students to keep up their work online, sending them assignments to complete and submit for grading. Six-year-olds are writing nonfiction books and toddlers are having live video interactions with nursery-school teachers.

The academic experiment has children and their parents, many of whom also have to work at home because their offices are closed, crammed into the same space. It’s a potential harbinger of what might face the U.S. if the virus continues to spread.

Always look for outside examples. Just don’t expect US kids to write books, or even read many. It will be interesting if the HL schools discover this approach works better and switch to it permanently.

I’ll take the credit for lighting the fire under Trump with yesterday’s column. His nCoV presser is supposed to start at 6 this evening. More on that, after the fact and if warranted. The loyal opposition lamented earlier that he didn’t do enough. Now, maybe they’re getting what they want. Maybe it’ll be a little more – another state of emergency might help with some non-pandemic items. Hope.

Read the article and see if you can spot the coded messages: at once lying to the gullible normies while also communicating directly with the base.

“Of course we didn’t have…” History says otherwise.
