Two of them in the Gulf of Oman.

Two oil tankers were hit in suspected attacks in the Gulf of Oman, shipping firms and industry sources said on Thursday, sending oil prices as much as 4% higher a month after four other tankers were damaged by limpet mines in the region.

One of the tankers, the Front Altair, carrying a cargo of petrochemical feedstock, was ablaze in waters between Gulf Arab states and Iran.

Iran’s state news agency said it had sunk, although the Norwegian owner had said it was afloat and its crew were safe. The other tanker was adrift without any crew.

The Bahrain-based U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet said it was assisting the tankers after receiving distress calls. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, part of Britain’s Royal Navy, said it was investigating with its partners.

Full details about Thursday’s incident were not immediately clear. The firm which chartered one of the vessels said it suspected a torpedo had hit the ship, while a source said the other might have been damaged by a magnetic mine.

An investigation blamed limpet mines for last month’s attacks on four tankers. Saudi Arabia and the United States blamed Iran for those attacks, a charge Tehran denies.

Oil prices surged as much as 4% after Thursday’s news. The region was already on edge following attacks in May on Gulf oil assets that occurred amid a dispute between Iran and the United States over Tehran’s nuclear programme.

Torpedo … oil prices surge … nuclear [nu-ku-ler] program[me].

At least it wasn’t the Abe Lincoln. Someone keep John Bolton away from the football.

America, decline, peace

Unless, of course, you live in third world Amerika. The US Imperial Homeland ranks 128th out of 163 countries on the Global Peace Index. Among other perplexities:

“Our most striking finding is that in the problem spots of the world, there are a number of places where the situation is improving and getting better,” Steve Killelea, founder and executive chairman of the index, told The Washington Times in an interview.

Probably because those countries are sending their worst offenders – all women and children “refugees” – to America and Europe. Notice how much worse the US is than the worst of the Old Continent. Notice just how low America ranks, period. Odds are, you don’t need much explanation as to the whys.

THE FULL INDEX

Import the third world, become the third world.

And, just wait until 2033 (or possibly sooner).

The dangers of democracy on display as the GOP (and the WSJ?) fall for the climate hoax.

A small but growing number of Republican lawmakers are urging action on climate change, driven by shifting sentiment among GOP voters and the effects of global warming, from stronger hurricanes to more-destructive wildfires.

The group backs policies rooted in what they consider GOP principles, favoring market-based solutions rather than government regulations. Many are loyal supporters of President Trump, but they part with him on climate change, which he has dismissed as hyped.

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida says the GOP needs to advance sound conservative proposals to combat climate change and embrace science, or risk long-term political damage.

“How can we as a party stand up to the generational challenges we face with globalization and automation and climate change if we don’t look credible to the body politic,” Mr. Gaetz said in an interview.

Honk. Honk.

Aiding and Abetting: 18 USC 1324 in Inaction

An Arizona professor deadlocks a jury:

A U.S. jury could not reach a verdict Tuesday against a border activist charged with conspiracy to transport and harbor migrants in a trial that humanitarian aid groups said would have wide implications on their work.

Defense attorneys argued that Scott Daniel Warren, a 36-year-old college geography instructor, was simply being kind by providing two migrants with water, food and lodging when he was arrested in early 2018. He faced up to 20 years in prison.

But prosecutors maintained the men were not in distress and Warren conspired to transport and harbor them at a property used for providing aid to migrants in an Arizona town near the U.S.-Mexico border.

Why was a college teacher prosecuted, on very weak charges, while mayors, councilmen, and administrators walk free?

Very Poorly Timed Florida Law – TPC

The Timing Was Off…

It may be that I’ve recovered from my fit of tobacco shop over-righteousness. Rumor has it that a hatchet has been buried and I’m back where I belong. The bad elements, if any, can usually be avoided; it’s all a matter of timing. And, as with smoke, so it is with politics.
*
The timing was just off in Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis, his cabinet, and his entire elephantine party in Tallahassee are about what one would expect of any band of Republicans these days. Not even with the unanimous assistance of the (equally what one would expect) Florida Democratic party could they get right a simple matter of temporal patience.
*
The Sunshine State has another new and very special law. House Bill 741 (2019) took instantaneous effect upon DeSantis’s signing. It revises and expands certain language concerning Florida Statute § 1000.05, et seq., regarding Florida’s K-20 government education scheme. (Nevermind, the lumping together of all levels of “education,” from kindergarten to graduate school…).
*
READ THE NEW LAW FOR YOURSELF
*
Advised that the first feature picture helps with social madness promos, I include this cutesy snapshot which I believe shows DeSantis and Ashley Moody enjoying lunch. Pic by Perrin.
*
Legislation like this is gaining in popularity with the States, being in the mold of this year’s federal H.R. 183. Florida’s new ordinance is designed to silence certain speech. It might best be summed up as The FL Anti-Anti-Semitism Act (in “Education”). Or, it could be summed up as The Unconstitutional, Ordinarily Illegal, Sellout of State Sovereignty Act (in “Education”).

Most of these I’ve never heard of. The only one I can remember doing business with (past tense) is Slack. Take a look:

The top executives of more than 180 companies have signed a letter that says abortion is essential in order for people to be successful in their businesses.

“When everyone is empowered to succeed, our companies, our communities and our economy are better for it,” the executives [CLICK HERE>] say in the letter posted on a newly launched website titled “Don’t Ban Equality.”

Know your enemies. Thanks for the list, Moloch!

Seminaries of the Progressive Religion

The Universities:

One hallmark of religions is they often have an institution of higher learning, where the most ambitious and well schooled young people go to complete their religious training and enter the world as leaders of their faith. In Christianity, we call these seminaries. A seminary is the place where a devout believer goes before he enters ministry. Once this training is completed, he is called to go out into the world to minister to his flock and to convert the unconverted.

The Progressive Left has a seminary, too — a finishing school where the ambitious and well schooled are polished to become “ministers” of their religion. It is the American university system.

The average high school graduate of promise often has no idea what world he is entering. All he knows is that all of his teachers have encouraged him from kindergarten until the end of his senior year that, if he has the talent and ability, he must go to college. The reasons for this aren’t nefarious. He will make more money as a college graduate; he will have a lower unemployment rate as a college graduate; and his general prospects for marriage, mental health, and the chance to retire are greatly improved by college. College has been, and continues to be, a great benefit — just like the public primary and secondary schools — for these reasons. But he is also unaware that he is about to enter a world that is even more slanted against tradition and conservatism than his usually left-leaning public school teachers, where conservatives are outnumbered nationally by a ratio of only 6 to 1.

Even the American Thinker, in making a good argument, falls victim to some of the untruths (or formerly truisms) about college education.

There are alternatives. Find them.

U.S. Women Prefer Socialism

55% of American women between 18 and 54 would take Marx over Smith.

  • 55 per cent of U.S. women between age 18 and age 54 would prefer to live in a socialist society rather than a capitalist one ,polling data from mid-April show
  • That number is 40 per cent for men and women combined, underscoring a deep gender schism
  • Self-described Democratic socialists like New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders have brought socialism back in vogue
  • Americans don’t agree on what socialism is, but majorities understand that socialist governments own companies rather than private individuals or groups
  • Large majorities agree that providing a basic living to everyone and covering the cost of tuition and healthcare are hallmarks of socialist systems
  • Venezuela is suffering famine and near revolt after instituting socialist reforms; socialism undergirded Soviet communism

Before August 18, 1920, there was sort of a national compromise. Men, as a whole, agreed to let women vote. In exchange, women promised to educate themselves about politics and economics. Men kept their word. This poll and many other studies show that women, as a whole, did not.

Next year, the MSM will probably hold a big centennial celebration for tha gurls. The year after that, the famine will likely commence.

New York State of Slime

Be careful what you wish for, New York. You might get it and more. Of course, they’re selling this as “liberation” of women and immigrants.

Sex work would be broadly legalized in New York state under a first-of-its-kind bill introduced by state legislators on Monday.

A group of lawmakers first called for legislation in February, but on Monday they finally came forward with a 13-page bill that would bring dramatic changes to the sex trade in the state.

The bill, written with advocacy group DecrimNY, would make it legal to both buy and sell sex under certain circumstances and modifies laws around facilities that are used as places of prostitution.

“For us, this is a bodily autonomy issue — our bodies, our choice — but more than that, it’s an economic issue. And it’s personal,” Jessica Raven, one of Decrim NY’s organizers, wrote in a Daily News op-ed Monday.

Two of the bill’s sponsors, state senators Jessica Ramos and Julia Salazar, have said that 9 out of 10 people arrested in sex-work-related massage parlor raids are immigrants, with most being undocumented Asians.

So, they did the same thing in Germany a while ago. And, over there, certain women discovered a downside to all the freedom. Able-bodied women, on public assistance, were told that prostitution was a career choice and that if they did not try it their benefits would be terminated. It makes perverse sense: many of the women are sexually active, as evidenced by their growing broods. Ergo, they should make money turning their hobby into a business and save the doll a few bucks. Rock. Hard place.

One assumes, this being NY, that any affected immigrants will keep safely feeding at the trough and that any completely unexpected children resulting from the profits can be safely terminated (at any time).

Escape from New York, more of a motto than a movie.

I’ve pretty much dropped out of the toxic pop culture, so there’s little more for me to do other than point out the evil as I come across it. However, if you’re still paying people who hate you and your family, consider fighting instead of finding.

See: THE RED PETITION

The mainstream media and entertainment companies have come out in full force against conservative values and it’s time we show them that our voice matters. Perhaps they just don’t realize how much the conservative audience is worth?

From large cities, to rural America those who hold to conservative values still have a massive financial influence and it’s time we see just how much their opposition to our core values really costs.

With that we are asking you to stand with us to stand up to the liberal agenda against families, and basic morality.

Spread the word.
