This is a good one: Matt Labash on the slip-sliding culture:

Remember when grandpa used to dispense wise clichés like “Grin and bear it”? Sorry gramps, we don’t do that anymore. We’ve traded out for “grimace and express it”. The traditional hallmarks of “manliness”—bravery, stoicism, physical courage—have been discounted for some time now, and are damn near being criminalized by the likes of Reiner and The Emasculators.

As ever-wise Harvey Mansfield, who literally wrote the book on manliness (titled, appropriately, Manliness) put it: “Today the very word manliness seems quaint and obsolete. We are in the process of making the English language gender neutral, and manliness, the quality of one gender, or rather, of one sex, seems to describe the essence of the enemy we are attacking, the evil we are eradicating.” Sometimes, I wonder if I should be encouraging my own two sons to go full Caitlyn, as owning a penis 20 years from now will likely be considered as criminal as drinking a large Coke or driving your own car.

It’s not enough that they are freaks. That would be tolerable, for the most part, by itself. The problem is that they want us gone. Dead and gone. Look at what passes for protest in D.C., Berkeley, etc. While the left denounces everyone under the sun (you included) as Nazis, they engage in violent Nazi tactics.

This won’t be one-sided much longer.

Congress Prepares A Christmas Present: Tracking Chips For All

Step by step they aim for total control. This summer I explained the progression from microchip tracking of pets to the tracking of children:

nimbus-image-1481504791541

I may have been wrong about the 20 years. Already plans are under way to move from the pets and kids to the old, the infirm, and … the kids again.

Rep. Chris Smith (R., N.J.), who chairs the Congressional Autism Caucus and the Alzheimer’s Disease Task Force, introduced a bill called Kevin and Avonte’s Law, otherwise known as H.R. 4919, in an attempt to prevent these types of accidents from happening.

The legislation would permit the Justice Department to award grants to law enforcement agencies and non-profits for training and tracking devices to find individuals with autism or seniors with Alzheimer’s who have wandered away.

“We all empathize with a parent who learns that their child is missing, including and especially when that child has autism or another developmental disability,” Smith said. “When children with a disability or seniors with Alzheimer’s do wander, time and training are essential to ensure their safe return.”

The bill would reauthorize the Missing Alzheimer’s Disease Patient Alert Program for five years and annually fund it for $2 million. The program would be expanded to include children with autism and renamed as the Missing Americans Alert Program.

The bill has garnered the support of Democrats who say it would promote public safety and address the critical need of being able to locate these individuals.

However, some are concerned the measure goes too far. The bill’s original language authorized the Attorney General to insert tracking chips into individuals involuntarily.

“It is almost too absurd to believe that it is true, but the House Judiciary Committee is considering H.R. 4919 that would allow for the Attorney General to authorize tracking chips to be inserted involuntarily into people who are incapacitated with Alzheimer’s and other fatal dementias,” said Rick Manning, the president of Americans for Limited Government, at the time.

According to a staffer who is familiar with the legislation, the language in the bill has been changed to ensure that tracking devices are not invasive or permanent, and would be voluntary. The government would also be prevented from making a database. The attorney general would still be able to decide who could receive these tracking devices and would have access to the data.

“The new language calls for ‘non-invasive and non-permanent types of tracking devices,’” said Robert Romano, senior editor of Americans for Limited Government. “But that is still not good enough. There shouldn’t be any bill, because there shouldn’t be a program, no matter how well-intentioned, overseen by the attorney general electronically tracking people in this manner.”

“The legislation still represents vast overreach by the federal government as none of this is necessary, when individuals, families and doctors can decide to use such non-invasive products on their own, like Angel Sense, under individual, limited circumstances when it is medically necessary to track patients who many become lost due to a lack of mental capacity,” Romano said.

H.R. 4919 has strong bipartisan support. And it’s a law not a voluntary, private measure as before. Yes, they stripped out the forced implantation for now. In a few years they will bring that back. First there will be chips forcibly implanted in the “at risk”. Then forcibly in the children. Then they’ll come for the rest of us. Cut 20 years in half – maybe half it again for starters.

I don’t think it’s a matter of if this happens but just when.

And to stop it we may have to “implant” some little devices of our own. That will be a simple outpatient procedure.

More cultural news from Europe – none of it good.

It is now perfectly acceptable to indoctrinate native, presumably Christian school children in the wonder ways of Allah.

PUPILS at a primary school were forced to chant “Allahu Akhbar” and “there is no God but Allah”, an appalled father has claimed.

The father of the pupil at the girl’s primary school in German ski resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen discovered that his daughter had been forced to learn the Islamic prayer when he discovered a handout she had been given.

He claimed she had been “forced” by teachers to memorise the Islamic chants and forwarded the handout to Austrian news service unsertirol24.

Just to be clear, it is wrong to have a Christmas tree, nativity scene or any mention of Christianity at the same German schools as that would violate the wall of separation between sense and education.

Next semester I hear the school will expand the lessons to include sexual assault, knife skills, and creative sidewalk truck driving. Diversity in education benefits everyone. No price is too high to include everyone’s views and cultural observations. Well, not all of them, it seems. There is a price for honesty in observation.

Nearby in Austria a popular newspaper editor is charged with a hate crime after printing the truth about the recent invader …er… visitors from Syria and other non-Western countries.

On 25 October 2015, Christoph Biro wrote of the masses of migrants who were travelling through the Styrian countryside and remarked on the assaults and property damage committed by migrants, reports Kurier.

Calling the majority of the migrants “testosterone-driven Syrians”, Mr. Biro recounted the multiple reports of migrants carrying out, in his words, “extremely aggressive sexual assaults”.

He also detailed Afghan men had slashed the seats of the trains that were transporting them to Germany because they refused to sit where Christians had previously sat.

The commentary provoked a negative reaction at the time with 37 complaints lodged against Mr. Biro. He took four weeks off from his position at the time, claiming that he had lost perspective and proportion of the situation.

Just because your country is overrun with anti-Christian bigots, rapists, and terrorists doesn’t mean anyone really wants to know about it. Get with the 21st Century, man. Your readers want to know when the jihad affirmation tour is coming to their elementary schools.

And he’s being criminally prosecuted will possible jail time at stake. Other people on the Old Continent have been imprisoned for similar truth speech.

At least America has the First Amendment. For now. And in legal theory. The SJWs do everything in their power to inflict all punishment short of incarceration. Free speech isn’t free and common sense isn’t common.

How much more of this do y’all want?

"Refugees", America, Christendom, Christians, civilization, culture, Europe, government, insanity, The People, The West

Two stories this evening highlight the sunset of Western Civilization as we know it.

The first, literally in keeping with my *-sanitized title, comes from Europe. Ulm Minster is the world’s tallest church. It’s located in Ulm, Germany. Germany is in Europe. Follow, now. Europe is (was) the heart of Christendom. It is or was the heart of the West.

Now the great church is in peril; it’s base walls are being eaten away by the acid in human urine. Drunken idiots in Ulm have found the Ulm-timate way to symbolically bid farewell to their culture. After drinking and partying binges they use the church as a toilet. Fitting.

But now officials responsible for its upkeep say the stone base of the Gothic tower, which has long acted as a lightning rod to late-night revelers looking to relieve themselves, is being eroded by salt and acids in the urine, Südwest Presse reports.

“Wildpinkler,” as al fresco micturition is known in Germany, has become such a problem that earlier this year the city doubled fines to 100 euros ($109) for anyone caught in the act.

“I’ve been keeping an eye on it for half a year now and, once again, it’s coated with urine and vomit,” Michael Hilbert, the building’s head of maintenance, told Südwest Presse. “This is about preserving law and order.”

You’re nation, your continent and your whole way of life is being routed by invasion and all you can do is coat a church in urine and vomit. What the Taliban does with tanks and artillery, these fools are doing with pee. Almost makes one want to pull for the other side. Whatever else they might be, the Mohammedans are a proud people. And they’re coming on, incentivized by a horde of treasonous politicians and other enablers.

enhanced-buzz-12614-1394755108-11

If this is it, then there ain’t much to lose. Buzz Feed.

They have only met resistance (yet) in a scant few locales. Waterford, MI is now among those places. The Township just voted unanimously to reject “refugees” under the failed and corrupt Federal Invasion Force Resettlement Act of 1980.

RESOLUTION TO SECURE THE TOWNSHIPS OF OAKLAND COUNTY AND PROTECT THEIR RESIDENTS FROM THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF THE REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM

WHEREAS: Refugees are placed in Michigan through the Federal Refugee Resettlement Program, a federal taxpayer funded program that contracts with vendor agencies to coordinate placements and welfare benefits for refugee families coming into our country, and

WHEREAS: State records show that federal vendors operating in Michigan have requested a total of at least 4060 refugees be settled into Michigan in FY 2016, and

WHEREAS: President Barack Obama has called for the resettling of at least 10,000 Syrian refugees in the United States this fiscal year, and

WHEREAS: Federal vendors have, thus far this fiscal year, resettled more Syrian refugees in Michigan than any other state; Oakland County is a focus area for resettlement; and the arrival numbers are expected to surge dramatically given the federal vendors’ preparations, and

WHEREAS: The FBI and other homeland security agencies have testified before Congress that refugees from failed states such as Syria cannot be adequately vetted to ensure that they do not have terrorist ties because the necessary records do not exist, and

WHEREAS: Intelligence officials have testified before Congress that terrorists are seeking to use the program to enter the United States, and

WHEREAS: Federal immigration law requires that local governments be consulted prior to placement of refugees in their communities and that they be involved in defining their local capacity for refugee placements, and

WHEREAS: Federal reports indicate that there continue to be major gaps in communication between federal vendors and local governments and schools prior to the placement of refugees, and

WHEREAS: The Refugee Resettlement process creates significant unfunded financial burdens for receiving states, counties and local communities to provide public assistance to meet refugee needs for schools, law enforcement, housing and health care, etc., and

WHEREAS: There is pending federal and state legislation to reform the Refugee Resettlement Program requiring federal vendors to operate with more transparency, to more fully involve local governments in placement decisions, and to report to the state police all situations which could be related to security risks or human trafficking events,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Charter Township of Waterford will not actively participate in the Refugee Resettlement Program until the Program has been significantly reformed, and until it has been demonstrated that the Townships of Oakland County have the capacity to absorb refugees without diverting funds from needy residents or exposing their residents to unwarranted security risks.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be provided to all elected county, state and federal officials representing the Charter Township of Waterford.
Comments

At least some Westerners still have a modicum of sense left.

There are detractors. Local idiot and probable self-hating white man Scott Hancock said, “I’ve lived here my entire life. I’ve never been embarrassed to be a Waterford citizen until I saw this resolution.” Out of 72,000 residents there has to be at least one.

Good for Scott for wanting to bring down what remains of his society. He doesn’t have to rely on the shameful city council to help. He can do it himself. All he needs to do is contact “Catholic” Social Services or some other “religious” charity tied to the invasi … resettlement effort and offer his own home and money for the cause.

While his new roommates are hacking him to death I’m sure at least a few of his deluded friends could enjoy a little eastern ethnic food and culture. Then they could get drunk and go vomit on a church.

Great nations and cultures always collapse from within not from without. It’s not “us” versus “them”. Some of us are much worse than most of them. I guess it’s them and them against us. But, who are we? The time to decide has come.

Higher Problems, Lower Education

America, college, culture, debt, education, lies, students

The following story came across my LinkedIn feed: The Biggest Crisis in Higher Ed Isn’t Student Debt, It’s Students Who Don’t Graduate. It’s an op-ed by Michael Crow, President of Arizona State University.

There is a lot of talk these days about student debt and the challenges that families face managing this burden. Rightfully so, particularly at a time when too many families are struggling with flat wages and rising costs. But the discussion of a debt crisis often fails to address what I would argue is the greater crisis: the fact that more than half of those who start college fail to finish.

Think about it: Tens of millions of people in the US are saddled with student debt and have no degree to help pay it off. They won’t get the substantial return on their investment—graduates with a bachelor’s degree earn about $1 million more in additional income over their lifetime than those with only a high school diploma—and they typically have not developed the adaptive learning skills that will help them prosper in a rapidly changing economy.

In too many cases, they may never recover, leaving them feeling frustrated and bitter, disenfranchised and unable to find a way to better jobs and greater opportunity. Too many, saddled with debt and lacking a degree, feel trapped.

According to US Department of Education data, the ability to repay college loans depends more on whether a student graduated than on how much debt they are carrying. The research also found that students who don’t graduate are three times more likely to default on their loans than those who do.

Adding to this sobering picture is the reality that only 15 percent of the bottom half of the US population (based on family income) have earned a college degree and only 9 percent among the bottom quarter. At a time when the majority of new jobs require post-secondary education, this is a national shame. Not only does it limit individual socioeconomic advancement, it minimizes the country’s capacity to make the most of talent that exists at every level and in every neighborhood.

This completion crisis is alarming, but it is fixable.

First, the $1 Million more in salary is a myth. James Altucher, among others, blew that to pieces. If you have kids looking at college, don’t let them be deluded. The myth was partly true a long time ago. It no longer makes any sense.

Even less sense is made from the unGodly debts students pile up in pursuit of an education that really isn’t. There’s a profound reason why the debt is such a concern. It isn’t worth it. College isn’t worth the money.

And those who drop out without finishing their degrees testify to the lack of value. Why stay for something with a low or non-existent return on investment? Why go so deeply in debt for it.

So, these problems are inter-connected and they are all worth considering; they are important. But I disagree with Crow on the graduation rate itself being the main problem.

His solution at ASU is a program that partners corporate employers with schools to cover costs and facilitate continued enrollment. I see that as a scheme to keep more students paying. Yes, more will graduate. But what do they get for their efforts?

By and large, college education in America is a hoax. Colleges long ago threw academic standards and actual learning under the school bus. Now the schools wage a war on men. Students are told that “to me a man” is terrible. They’re told manly fitness is toxic. There’s a war on European-Americans too. Students are told that just to be white is to be racist.

This isn’t education. This is bullsh!t. It’s indoctrination into a failed and useless culture of wimps and communists. Who needs it? Who needs four years of it? Who needs $200,000 in debt for it?

Outside of a few technical and professional fields, there is simply no valid reason to waste time pursuing the college experience. It’s an empty experience where most learning is self-induced and incidental. Real, liberal, classical education is easily obtained via independent study.

And college, the industry’s money-based lies aside, is not for everyone. Maybe 10% should be in higher education. Those who seek honest academic progress should only go if they can go for free or next to free. Even the best education isn’t worth a penny of debt.

Colleges and universities sell a product that most cannot afford and do not need. And the prospective customers are far better off without the debased social justice warrior lunacy. like this:

zisko

WTH?? Worse than worthless. ImageFlip.

From an institutional perspective I suppose declining graduation rates would be second in concern only to decreasing overall enrollment. Both mean less money for the schools. The problem for the rest of us is that those schools now peddle expensive dribble that hurts the culture and crushes the individual soul. They are the drug dealers of the Ivory Tower.

The Washington Post reports on the free-fall collapse of NFL viewership. The phenomenon threatens to take down Big TeeVee as it falls.

Football, America’s biggest prime-time powerhouse, has been thrust into a crisis this fall, with dwindling ratings sparking questions over whether it can remain a gold mine for television in an age when more Americans are abandoning traditional TV.

Network executives have long used the National Football League’s live games as a last line of defense against the rapid growth of “cord-cutting” and on-demand viewing upending the industry.

My long-standing views on television and my recent decision on football are known to my audience. There is nothing wrong, per se, with either. Football is a sport, a simulated 1-hour war in a potential atmosphere of fun. Better that than a real war. TV offers (offered) the potential of idea transmission and entertainment. There is nothing wrong with that.

interactive_tv_zombie

Blog Day Afternoon.

The problems with both institutions came from devolution. I swear both were hi-jacked and weaponized against the people many years ago. Football on television became the worst realization of the tragedy of Plato’s Cave. Now it seems people are turning both off.

The Post says the change came about from people utilizing newer forms of electronic entertainment. I’m not sure the change is for the better. Sure, some must be reading websites like this one, Googling “Plato Cave” and then reading The Republic. Intellectualization is never a bad thing.

Still, I suspect many have only traded one from of trivial control for another. Half of the internet and 98% of cable is dedicated to filth and stupidity.

We now have the ability to comment of the Tweets of Alt-Right pundits, who commented on the comments of traditional pundits, who garnered thoughts about news accounts of insults and general jabber-wacky spouted by other commentators, about the remarks of candidates in some battle royal “debate” between two sides of the same uni-party in a Club-controlled political election.

Others trespass backyards at night looking for a digital cartoon rabbit or gold stars or something.

I suppose all of this beats dodging lions, sacrificing rival tribesmen to the sun gods, or searching for a lightening-sparked fire source. Beats it but not by much.

Allow me to offer up some better alternatives for passing away the free time:

  • Read a book – any book;
  • Write a book – any book;
  • Start a business. This is difficult given the regulatory environment and failure is likely. Still, I know you have some great ideas – something you are good at, that you enjoy, that others will pay for;
  • Call the IRS (800-829-1040): go through all of the robo-options and see how many times they hang up on you. Hours of fun….;
  • Vacation in Cuba and get your cigars on. Thanks, BHO!;
  • Go to the gym – cross-fit, power-lift, body build, treadmill, boxing, old man shuffle – anything, just do it. 70% are flirting with diabetes and the slow death of fast food. Reverse the curse;
  • If you love football, instead of watching it, buy a ball and take the kids to the park and play it;
  • Take a walk in the woods. A slow walk whereby you look at and appreciate exactly what goes on in the greater creation;
  • Write a letter to someone in power asking or telling them to stop a war;
  • Google “Virginia Gallardo dance.” Okay, this might trend towards “filth” but, hey, she’s not hurting anyone and you gotta channel that inner Trump sometime. BTW, gentlemen, once you do this, you may thank me in the comments section;

These are only suggestions.

Turning The Other Cheek And A Blind Eye: Travails Of The Church

Two months ago I had articles about the rise of the demonic and about the decline of the church when confronted by the demonic. The slide continues.

Today Christopher Manion has a story about the silence of American (and Mexican) Catholic bishops faced with rampant and spreading corruption. Their silence amounts to tacit approval of what are crimes against humanity. Much of this is done (or not done or said) in an attempt to curry political favor from the Empire and the financial procurement which accompanies. They have become modern Pharisees of the first century order.

As Europeans have recently learned to their profound regret, when an immigrant enters a country, he brings his culture with him. That goes for the victims of corruption as well as its perpetrators. When I translate as a volunteer for law enforcement here in the Shenandoah Valley, the uneasy deputy tells me, “get their hands out of their pockets!” I have to explain that they are not reaching for a gun – they’re reaching for bribe money because all of their lives they have had to pay off every man in uniform that they’ve ever had the misfortune to encounter. When they send money to their family back home in Mexico, their family must pay off the police chief, the mayor, and the gang leader in order to survive. That is their culture, whether they are here or there.

Meanwhile, by the time they reach the border coming north, the victims and their victimizers are indistinguishable to the layman’s eye.

Nonetheless, our Catholic bishops want us to welcome them, harbor them, get paid by the federal government to house and to feed them and to give the criminals among them “sanctuary” from our lawful immigration authorities if necessary.

And God forbid that they tell them, “Thou shalt not steal!”

Instead, Catholic bishops and their Mexican counterparts tell the immigrants that they are victims of nativism, xenophobia, bigotry, and other sinful prejudices which, they allege, motivate Americans who oppose granting amnesty to illegal aliens.

While the Sheppards ignore the Gospel, the Traditions, the Canon Law, and even the secular law (what does that leave?), many of the sheep have abdicated. Manion notes that, over the past few decades, 30 million American Catholics have silently slipped away from the Church.

And no-one asks them to return. The decline isn’t even mentioned officially. Rather, the Ecclesiastics and their NGOs merely summon more tax dollars to continue works which will drive away remaining faithful.

Alarmingly, Church Leaders chose their political battles with apparent leftist political determination:

Catholic bishops have indeed been outspoken regarding the objective evil of abortion. However, while they blithely accuse most whites of racism, they are much more reserved when it comes to supporters of “abortion rights.”

In the current political climate, two prominent Catholics, Vice-President Joe Biden, and vice-presidential candidate Tim Kaine, share the radical pro-abortion views of President Barack Obama and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Yet the bishops are remarkably reluctant to offend Biden, Kaine, and Clinton by mentioning their names alongside their forceful condemnation of the murder of children in the womb.

Alas, the facts seem to go the other way. In May, Rev. John Jenkins, C.S.C., President of the University of Notre Dame, conferred on Mr. Biden what was once Notre Dame’s highest honor; and in August Mr. Kaine’s Catholic pastor in Richmond, Virginia, Rev. James Arsenault, called for a standing ovation – during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass – to honor Kaine’s selection by Mrs. Clinton. (Father Arsenault did not respond to a request for comment).

The law of the Church, referred to as “Canon Law,” requires that such public scandal as participation in murder or abortion requires a public response on the part of the Church (viz. Canon 915). Apparently, that law is ignored by Catholic bishops as much as the law of the land, once known as the Constitution, is defiantly flouted by the folks in Washington.

So here’s the bottom line: supporting amnesty for illegal aliens is a prime mandate for Catholics: oppose it and your Bishop might well attack you publicly and personally. But support universal, taxpayer-funded abortion on demand, and you need have no fear: as far as our bishops are concerned, you’re anonymous.

They seem to co-opted the government’s own approach to law: adhere to that which serves the agenda, ignore that which inconveniences. These are profound problems for the West, not merely in America alone.

Protestant denominations have it as bad as Catholic, if not worse. A mainline Canadian church parish is currently led by an avowed atheist minister. This is akin to having a Catholic Priest leading an atheist fellowship or a mental defect running a Mensa meeting. The ridiculousness has finally raised enough eyebrows even within the liberal ranks of the United Church; formal removal proceedings are to commence.

The headline asks: “Can an Atheist Lead a Protestant Church?” The answer is a resounding “no” and the fact that such a predicament arose (and is so questioned) testifies to the depth of the problem.

OTTAWA — The Rev. Gretta Vosper is a dynamic, activist minister with a loyal following at her Protestant congregation in suburban Toronto. She is also an outspoken atheist.

“We don’t talk about God,” Vosper said in an interview, describing services at her West Hill United Church, adding that it’s time the church gave up on “the idolatry of a theistic god.”

Vosper’s decision to reject God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and to turn her church into a haven for nonbelievers “looking for a community that will help them create meaningful lives without God” has become too much even for the liberal-minded United Church of Canada.

The United Church, the country’s largest Protestant denomination, has begun an extraordinary process that could end up stripping Vosper of her rights to continue as a minister.

If they don’t talk about God … in a church … then what, pray tell, do they talk about? Securing more tax money for abortions? For non-Western invasion? Do they talk about the terminating the last Christian resistance to the new global order?

hqdefault

And elsewhere. YouTube.

Satan himself couldn’t run a better “church”. This isn’t Protestant. It’s not Christian. It’s not even Churchian. It is an exercise in social suicide and defeatism. Worse (if more honest) than the cotton-candy theology of many modern failed congregations, this woman “Reverend” offers rat poison. Rather a far fall from the Sacramental Offerings of Christ.

Pat Buchanan once penned back-to-back chapters on the simultaneous collapse of the modern Protestant and Catholic Churches. Given the magnitude of the cataclysm it is difficult to discern whether this failing is a cause or a product of the decline of society. Evidence would seem to point to both.

Alas, such betrayals have happened before. We are eternally assured the Gates of Hell shall never prevail against the Church. Still, history makes very clear our own gates shall be tested again and again.

And, what are we to do in such times? Turn the other cheek? Turn a blind eye? Thrice deny?

Or, stand?

Okay. Today I got a request for another longer, more in-depth column. I hear ya. There’s a story I’ve had in draft for months now. Never got around to finishing it even as it grows more relevant by the week. It’s a historical analogy of sorts to a modern problem and a look at an ancient solution. I gently hinted at it in this morning’s post. In Trump-speak it’s going to be YUUGE. I promise to wrap it up sometime tomorrow.

In somewhat related news of the political realm:

Delusional Civilization-Hating Leaders Have To Go

The mayors of London and Paris joined with Bill de Blasio in crafting a letter to the New York Times. De Blasio is the mayor of New York, soon to be re-named Babel on the Hudson. The three fools opined that radical islamic terrorism is “vanishingly rare“.  De Blasio, for his part, apologized to the Times for any seeming lack of clarity. It seems bombs were going off right and left as he typed.

If you’ve just recovered from a coma, Paris and London (and damned near everywhere else) have been blessed with violent diversity on a vanishingly rare (meaning daily) basis for about the past two years.

Amazingly these three want more terrorists brought into their cities and countries. This is what ones gets for voting – the tenuring of deranged psychopaths.

They simply have to go. I suggest they take refuge in nations already possessed of the religious fever and culture they claim to admire. I’m willing to spring for a plane ticket for de Blasio.

And it’s not just politicians. The artificial elite of our crumbling civilization all seem to favor mass invasion by savages. Like de Blasio, George Soros wants more. He’s willing to pay $500 Million to bring in fresh Soldiers of the Caliphate.

I would suggest He move with Bill, Khan and Hidalgo but there’s probably no need. He’s 86 now. And he’s accustomed to buying things. Isn’t it about time he bought the farm? (Or maybe his vampiric kind don’t die.)

503137826-640x400

I may include a small section on how the likes of these destroyers factors into our current tragedy. I’m sure there was a similar element twelve and a half centuries ago but I’m not sure of how they acted. (Could have been Soros even back then…) We’ll see tomorrow, friends.

The Bionic Mosquito has an article today about the differences between love of country (true Patriotism or honest Nationalism) and militarized, jingoistic love of the country’s government (Statism). He compares the Icelandic pride in their national football (soccer) team to the American worship of government, disguised as football (real football). Naturally, the news being as it is of late, he mentions Kaepernick’s capering.

LA Times.

The story got me thinking. Now it has me typing. Actually, I’ve been thinking these thoughts for a long time. Now, it may be I’m nearing an action point.

I’ve been thinking about football (American “real” football) outside of the political context. Then it occurred to me that is impossible for those reasons spelled out by the Mosquito.

Football isn’t just football anymore. In fact, it’s hardly football anymore, period. Rather, it has become an extension of the state. Attending a game – any game at any level and anywhere – is like attending a “church” service in honor of the federal government. Football has also become the new culture which is, itself, another extension of the unholy state religion.

Kaepernick took a stand (or rather did not) against the new false faith. For this his former fans are burning his jersey. I really know little of Kaepernick but I support his protest. If I understand correctly, he is half black and is upset about the treatment of black people in America. Black people are mistreated here. It’s mainly by other black people thought that usually goes unsaid if not unnoticed. The government mistreats everyone unless they are commercial bankers, insurance lobbyists, or warmongers. It isn’t right and it warrants a protest.

I have no interest in pledging allegiance nor anything else to any piece of fabric. Nor do I care for allegiance to any government, especially one that no longer exists. Still, I get goosebumps when I hear the Star Spangled Banner played or sung – a reminder of my former home. It was all about freedom or it was supposed to be. Thus, I see the value of the protest.

All the same, some people see Colin’s resistance to part of the evil as an even greater evil. They say he has somehow disrespected soldiers and police officers. Those groups happen to be, all of them, agents of the government which mistreats everyone. This is all truly an odd parable for the modern age.

That modernity has seeped slowly into football and consumed it, perverted it. The examples are so numerous as to be ubiquitous. Think for a second and you’ll realize what I mean. When does pink season start again? While comprising virtual temples to the aggrandizment of the state football has become anathematic to the former unique American culture. It is anti-American (in the sense of the former people, not in reference to Washington).

Half of American households own nearly 300 million firearms. When was the last time you saw a Remington ad aired during a football game? .00000001% of Americans are trans…whatever (or even really know what that means [if anything]). Yet the NFL and the NCAA condition bowl and championship games on the regional accessibility of peculiar restroom facilities. Their own facilities are financed by taxpayers so as to increase profits.

A friend of mine owns a cigar shop. For years he had a special relationship with a local television station which allowed him to cheaply run his commercials during the Super Bowl. Someone at the NFL found out. Now he is forbidden to advertise at any price. Overweight felons in pink are all-Amerikan, harmless tobacco is not.

The game itself is slowing to a pitiful crawl. This is due to the advent of rules no-one understands, copious reviews of everything, politically correct and nauseating commercials, and the shenanigans of the afore-mentioned felons. One must suffer an hour of mind-numbing nonsense in hopes of seeing but one good run or pass-play. Is it worth it?

That question has led me to my football crisis of faith. I follow three football teams: UGA (the men of my family, myself included, are alumni); Mississippi State (raised in Starkville and on campus largely) and; The Patriots (deep connections to New England). Overall these teams rank as follows: MSU – respectable; UGA – impressive; NE – incredible. Still, their games and organization have all succumbed to the blight.

Recently I wrote that Dak Prescott had renewed my faith in the NFL, if but for one more season. He’s a great player and a likable man. Yet he nor any other single player will be able to reverse what has happened. So I judge.

Players do make a difference. I follow the Lions sometimes out of respect for Matthew Stafford. That’s an example of a good player with a lousy team. I similarly follow the Panthers because of Cam Newton. I was never a fan until I watched the 2010 Iron Bowl and Newton’s electric and contagious play on and off field. By the way, I watched it from a bar in Lawrence, MA – the NE connection again. Player differences only go so far.

This season is a trial for football. I think I have already made up my mind but I may allow a final chance. Barring some major development or spectacle I think we shall part ways. This may be only a page in my divorce from popular culture.

It will not be, if it comes to pass, absolute. I still watch the occasional baseball game even after disavowing that sport in the summer of 1994. Then, I had Braves tickets made useless by the whining of men paid to play a game, who though their impressive compensation insubstantial. That was enough for me. I still cheered the Bravos on in 1995. An AJC front page hung in a frame in my former garage workshop. I even went back to games – so long as I could manage luxury box seating (thank you, Trammell Crow). Football may become like that to me.

And what else? What happens next? Unlike many of the portly jersey burners, I, myself, engage in regular athletic activity. That is generally enough. Once a decade or so I enjoy pulling a fish from the water or a bird from the sky. There is always golf, a sport I respect immensely though I am flatly no good at it personally.

Boston Bruins / Wiki.

I begin to consider a replacement team sport fan-ship. I lean precariously towards hockey. This is a sport I know almost nothing about. We don’t have much ice below the sixth level (the block at the bottom notwithstanding). I do understand that hockey moves at a rapid pace and is yet to fall wholly to the new anti-culture.

The Bruins are a natural choice and my front-runners. One of the two cities I split my time between has a NHL team. My chosen retirement state and true spiritual “home” has a newer team. I have choices, professionally. The college scene is somewhat bleak. There are something like 70 D1 college teams and none at schools I am really familiar with. The only southern team is in Huntsville, AL of all places. I will not follow anything from Alabama. Sorry.

This fall I will work on these quandaries. Once or if my mind is made up there will be no stopping me. And I ask none to follow. I do understand many have gone ahead. In conclusion I ask those who love freedom, those who remember America, to reconsider things and institutions which do not. Kaepernick’s “scandal” will come and go. Football may also be gone.
