Shaking Heads not Hands

I realize the man is between a rock and a hard place, but dear Lord. Everything he says now sounds like the ravings from the… Ah. Don’t shake hands. Ever.

“Maybe people aren’t going to be shaking hands anymore,” Trump said, adding that he had discussed the practice with Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. “He was saying the regular flu would be cut down by quite a bit if we didn’t do that, if we didn’t shake hands.”

The president has said he wasn’t much of a hand-shaker before he ran for political office.

I was watching (or listening) when he said that. And I remember reading, years ago, about his aversion to contact. He also puts ketchup on well-done steaks and does not smoke cigars. Should we all start bowing like the Chinese? The “Chinese Hand Shake?” How on Earth did humanity make it all these years, in such a hostile world, while engaging in such risky behavior as pressing palms?

I’m about ready to “call the time” as March of 2020. But again, this distancing from an insane society sounds better every minute. The ad says the satellite phone will provide an internet uplink (for stuff like this post) from just about anywhere. Now to look at solar inverters.

Let’s Hope So

This could be the return to civility America really needs. Or Not. But, I’m not sure God will be all that happy with the way it’s presented here:

Could a plague of biblical proportions be America’s best hope for religious revival? As the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II approaches, there is reason to think so.

Three-quarters of a century has dimmed the memory of that gruesome conflict and its terrible consequences: tens of millions killed, great cities bombed to rubble, Europe and Asia stricken by hunger and poverty. Those who survived the war had to grapple with the kinds of profound questions that only arise in the aftermath of calamity. Gazing at the ruins from his window at Cambridge University, British historian Herbert Butterfield chose to make sense of it by turning to the Hebrew Bible.

“The power of the Old Testament teaching on history—perhaps the point at which the ancient Jews were most original, breaking away from the religious thought of the other peoples around them—lay precisely in the region of truths which sprang from a reflection on catastrophe and cataclysm,” Butterfield wrote in “Christianity and History” (1949). “It is almost impossible properly to appreciate the higher developments in the historical reflection of the Old Testament except in another age which has experienced (or has found itself confronted with) colossal cataclysm.”

War again. Notice? Drool for the bell. The hoax to end them all led to the JUDEO-Christian awakening? What? The lens of the Old Testament only. Hmmm. This is starting to smell.

I’m not sure who the next target is – likely China and/or Russia. Whoever it is, I am firmly against the next war. This one won’t go as planned, nor will the next. Kids, resist the urge to “serve,” especially in the Navy, unless you’re just dying to see the ocean floor. I’m also against all these blasphemous comments and taglines. Talk about a colossal cataclysm in the making.

It Was Already Slowing Down

Much like the economy, the internet was already dragging along at 2000 levels of performance before the Chinese virus hoax surfaced. It has made things noticeable worse.

And last week, as a wave of stay-at-home orders rolled out across the United States, the average time it took to download videos, emails and documents increased as broadband speeds declined 4.9 percent from the previous week, according to Ookla, a broadband speed testing service. Median download speeds dropped 38 percent in San Jose, Calif., and 24 percent in New York, according to Broadband Now, a consumer broadband research site.

So, 5G will look even better when it’s rolled out. 2018 video streaming speeds will seem like great comfort to the home population while the primary uses facilitate the next phase. Got it.

Clown World: Mo Money, Fewer Rights

When the largest bailout in human history isn’t enough.

Even if the bill passes, the story won’t be over:

    • We are likely to be in this same situation again, economists say — and soon.
    • Another stimulus bill will likely be necessary to get the economy running after the COVID-19 outbreak has been contained.
    • More immediately, it’s possible that a second massive spending bill will be needed just to stop further bleeding.

What it means: “This should not be thought of as a stimulus bill — this should be thought of as social insurance in a disaster state of the world for the most hard hit,” Jonathan Parker, professor of finance at MIT, told Axios during a virtual briefing with reporters Wednesday.

    • “The idea is to freeze time for a month or six weeks and let people emerge with not a huge amount of debt — not starving, not being evicted.”
    • This would ideally produce “a V-shaped recovery where people find themselves roughly where they were when we went in.”

This “V-shaped” idea is the craziest thing I’ve heard since they said a cold bug caused the depression. People entered into the V with a huge amount of debt – and no assets – and that is the problem. More free money, despite being what everyone says they want, is the opposite of the right answer.

What people do not want is any cumbersome freedom. There is no fear of losing civil liberties.

The orders seem prudent in the bid to thwart the spread of the novel coronavirus: Don’t go out, don’t gather with others and keep your stores closed. But growing segments of the U.S. population say state and federal governments are trampling on freedoms central to American life in the name of protecting public health.

The case is already being made. A church-goer in New Hampshire says prohibitions against large gatherings violate her religious rights. A Pennsylvania golf course owner argues that gubernatorial edicts shuttering his business amount to illegal seizure of his private property.

So, a few “nuts” care about freedom. What did Sallust say again? The majority couldn’t be happier to lock themselves down, so long as a little free cheddar is promised.

And, the lies. The past week and a half, I have watched or listened to more television bullshit than I have in the past ten years. Virtually everything I’ve heard has been a damned lie and an easily disproved damned lie. That so many people put faith in this foolishness says something unpleasant about the wreck of America.

This social distancing is starting to sound appealing. In fact, I’m investigating a way to make it permanent. I’d like to put as much distance between me and the social idiocy as possible.

Thanks, ladies! Three smart (and pretty!) women who get it.

There’s a world of people who do not. Typical selfish Amerikans literally throw out medical professionals from their homes in a time of alleged medical emergency. See hand, bite.

Alligators and Toilet Paper – from TPC

Yes, another one in the same week!

Shelter in Place or the Terrorists Economy Virus Wins

First, the good news: Guess who is the owner of 18 brand new and hopefully unused rolls of toilet paper? That’s right. This guy! Ah, the simple pleasures of good old apocalyptic ‘Murica. As an added benefit, I received the eternal blessing of staying saaaaaaaaafe from every mask-clad woman I encountered at Publix. I had found some excess cash which I had hidden away for future vices. So, upon making off with Mr. Whipple’s delight and before returning to the bunker, I sought to entertain myself with a burger from a local eatery. They were closed, as was the I-talian joint, the gym, the rec center, the library, the bar, the other bar, and even the cigar lounge. Friends, when the cigar club shuts down, we have a problem.

You might not have heard, but America is experiencing what may be the largest, most lethal health event in recorded human history. The media is intentionally obscuring the numbers. This year alone – from January 1 until today – the death toll is closing in on 200,000! Those poor souls add to the 60 million tiny babies already wantonly murdered in this dead nation since 1973. It’s not just an atrocity, it’s a genocide, a holocaust. Never forget? Never again? This being a crime crying out to Heaven for vengeance, we might expect God to act, like with a plague or something. For now, we have to settle for an economic depression.

The warnings and observations of Dr. Todd Vispoli are coming true as each new day passes. It’s almost like he, or rather, the pen behind him, is prophetic. The idiots in Washington are moving mountains to gin up trillions of dollars in alleged remediation for the financial calamity wrought by those same idiots and the very same usurious thieves they plan to give the money to. Orange Man blasphemes about a “resurrection” by Easter (when the churches will still be closed, I imagine). Interest on short-term Treasuries dipped well below zero in a display of the actual value of the currency (of which there will soon be at least $6 Trillion more). Viral unemployment benefits and fake tax rebates start to look a whole lot like universal basic income. The Federal Reserve is set to receive new and greater powers to issue more “digital currency” from their crystal ball of doom. All of the irresponsible, anti-American, globalist-minded corporations and otherwise bankrupt industries cue up like hogs at the trough.

THE WHOLE THING AT TPC!

You CAN Go Lower Than Zero

Tags

, , , , ,

And, you have.

Just the other week, my avatars, Tom Ironsides and Todd Vispoli (neither of which is me, by the way) discussed the real crisis behind the ridiculous Corona Chan false flag and hoax. Todd said: ‘The funds rate is already effectively below zero, and it has been for some time. All the idiot pundits say, “you can’t go lower than zero,” but that’s just another one of their lies. Of course, you can go lower. The Europeans are below zero.’

Now, US Treasuries are too.

Yields on both the one-month and three-month Treasury bills dipped below zero Wednesday, a week and a half after the Federal Reserve cuts its benchmark rate to near-zero and as investors have flocked to the safety of fixed income amid general market turmoil.

It was the first time that happened in 4½ years, when both bills briefly flashed red and yields fell to minus-0.002% each. The readings Wednesday were well below those.

This comes while the criminals in DC scramble to give away even more value to the masters of usury. (But hey! You’ll get $1200 or something). This, while Americans hide in their homes, leaving only to run around in masks and fight each other for toilet paper. What the rate drop means in real terms is that when you buy a short-term bond and loan the Empire your money, you have to pay them to take your money. That means your money is … worthless. Think about it (if that’s possible anymore) like this: if you have something valuable around the house – gold, timber, stamp collection, etc. – then people will pay you for the privilege of taking it for themselves. On the other hand, you have to pay to have worthless or dangerous things removed from your home – like black mold or toxic waste in the soil.

Extrapolating further, to Wall Street, the relative worthlessness of the cash means that it takes more of it to buy things, like stocks. Thus, the prices of the stocks rise, driving a false sense of prosperity in the DOW. But, as soon as the bailout cash is spent (tomorrow), we’re back to square one and a lack of true value. Those at the top of the chain (the banksters) reap the greatest rewards. The rest pay the price.

A few related questions:

If all non-essential offices are supposed to be closed, then how the hell is Congress open?

If you get $1200 “free” from Uncle Sucker, but there is no toilet paper available to purchase, do you use the fiat to wipe your ass?

If Washington can afford to part with Trillion$ in giveaway cash, then why do we have to continue to pay taxes?

Is a combination of Chloroquine and UV radiation effective against usury and tyranny?

We need answers.
