A Matter of Trust

Since 1965, the US has been sold a bill of goods about the “benefits” of diversity. A new study sheds light:

Abstract

Does ethnic diversity erode social trust? Continued immigration and corresponding growing ethnic diversity have prompted this essential question for modern societies, but few clear answers have been reached in the sprawling literature. Taking this as point of departure, this article reviews the existing literature on the relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust through a narrative review and a meta-analysis of 1,001 estimates from 87 studies. The review clarifies the core concepts, highlights pertinent debates, and tests core claims from the literature on the relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust. Several results stand out from the meta-analysis. We find a statistically significant negative relationship between ethnic diversity and social trust across all studies. The relationship is stronger for trust in neighbors, and when studied in more local contexts. Covariate conditioning generally changes the relationship only slightly. The review concludes by discussing avenues for future research.

Rest assured that, despite the findings, the lies will continue.

budget, decline, lies, military, Paul Craig Roberts

Dr, Roberts observes a few things: the dangers of appointing industry stooges, and the inanity of US military policy and spending.

Secretary of Defense Mark Esper is a former Raytheon lobbyist and another example of President Trump’s penchant for frustrating his own policies by appointing to power people who oppose his policies. Why does Trump think he can expect a representative of the military/security complex to help him wind down Washington’s hegemonic policeman of the world routine?

Esper is out making speeches that the military/security complex needs 5% real increase annually in order to counter Russia and China—https://news.antiwar.com/2020/10/16/esper-calls-for-more-military-spending-to-face-china-and-russia/ . It is Washington that is aggressive toward Russia and China, not the other way around. The military/security complex desperately needs foreign enemies in order to maximize its budget and power. Russiagate’s purpose was to prevent Trump from removing a valuable “enemy” by normalizing relations with Russia.

The US defense budget could be cut in half and still be larger than the combined defense budgets of Russia and China. China spends about half as much of its economy on defense as the US. If Russia and China intended aggression against the US, wouldn’t you expect to see much higher spending on military?

If anything, the military budget – while there’s still time – needs to be cut, radically. That and a draining of the old swamp would go a long way. Second term projects?

Not a rock band.

The leaks are coming and, so far, are not all that revelatory – what I’ve seen. However, if there are certain videos that 1) exist and 2) become public, then I’m with Ann Barnhardt: don’t watch them. Even if they’re heavily redacted. Some things are best unseen.

And, again, the FBI has been on this since at least December 9, 2019. That means: it’s not that urgent, or; we need a new FBI.

The next two weeks will be interesting if nothing else.

Megatons of Flesh Usury

This story about average Amerikan debt loads makes a pound sound like a bargain.

While the average American has $90,460 in debt, this includes all types of consumer debt products, from credit cards to personal loans, mortgages and student debt.

Knowing these trends is important. Along with staying informed about financial planning, reading advice about saving for retirement and learning credit card basics — knowing where you stand can help you decide where to go next on your financial journey.

Here’s the average debt balances by age group:

Gen Z (ages 18 to 23): $9,593
Millennials (ages 24 to 39): $78,396
Gen X (ages 40 to 55): $135,841
Baby boomers (ages 56 to 74): $96,984
Silent generation (ages 75 and above): $40,925

Math time! Let’s deduct 60 million souls from the 330 million folks in the US – to dismiss any Greatest, under-18 Zs, and Post-Zs among us.

$90.460 x 270,000,000 = $24,424,200,000,000 outstanding usury. That’s in the “personal debt” ballpark figure ($20 Tr+) estimated by Ye Old Debt Clock. Either way, think of that as the value being sucked out of ownership and productivity, with all of the vampirism based on fraud and lies. Or, terminating these sinful fake loans would result in an immediate boost to the real economy greater than a standard year’s GDP.

What is on it? Speculation abounds. I have avoided this story largely because I know that those who support criminals will continue to do so regardless of the facts, perhaps even more so with the facts. It’s about demographics: if they control, they rule. Simple. Also, if it is true and the “other side” prevails, then I imagine, based on history, that very little will be done. But, who knows?

The dishonest and stupid fake-national rootless cosmopolitan I mentioned the other day must be thrilled that another savage Islamic murder in Paris was not perpetrated by an evil Trump-commanded White militia. No cartoons in French schools!

A parent shouting Allahu Akbar and thought to be wearing an explosive vest has been shot dead by French police near Paris after allegedly beheading a school teacher with a knife.

The victim was said to have been a school teacher who had enraged parents by displaying cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed to pupils.

A source told Le Parisien: ‘The victim had recently given a lesson to his students on freedom of expression and had shown the caricatures of Muhammad’.

In fact, I’ll bet that bitch is overjoyed that the new French, formerly colonized person demanded inclusion (of his knife, bomb, and anti-Western hatreds) without erasing his heritage (of moronic violence). Erasure is for the besieged, beheaded locals and all. Her great regret was surely the “racist” police shooting the new vibrant dead. But, at least they all know that climate science is real.

“Good” Government, Hard Fall

A new study is out that potentially sheds light on an old phenomenon and also the new-future of the dying US. I’ve skimmed the Daily Mail article. Here’s the STUDY which I have only glanced at. The plausible theory is that when a nation suffers from a more authoritarian government its eventual collapse is easier than that of a nation with a “free” government. That makes sense, as people living under harsher rule are used to hard times and make lighter of terminal calamity, and perhaps seek to hasten the process, minimizing pain, etc. It might seem counterintuitive, especially to those growing up in a more seemingly prosperous, and “exceptional” place like the late America.

Two issues: 1) I have titular misgivings about the names of the authors, given the nature of the paper; 2) this one focuses on the government-angle, which is important but not definitive, really being secondary to the demographic circumstances.

For what it’s all worth.

Also, I am informed that my first FP podcast, on something most similar, is in the editing process, having met with some degree of approval from the elves. That, when it’s available.

Just when one thinks the deviants at the Fed can’t possibly slip any lower, this.

“This is a perverse incentive that says you shouldn’t try to make yourself better,” said Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic, who is leading a virtual conference Thursday intending to focus attention on the problem. “They are not dumb. It’s on us to actually change those incentives so that people understand what the potential is and move forward towards opportunity.”

They literally are dumb, almost as stupid as the idiots at the Fed. This isn’t even an economic or tax policy problem. But, if it is, then what’s the solution? Abolishing taxes? Demographics is destiny, and we’ve fulfilled it to the point of completely collapsing society. Whose benefit is that?

Fake American, France's loss, good riddance, invasion, migrant, Paris

From The Atlantic, which once waxed eloquently about cannibalism, comes the sad story of a rootless cosmopolitan who sprung from somewhere, lived on the Left Coast, drifted to New York, and now pollutes Paris. She’s glad she left “America.”

There hasn’t been a day since Donald Trump was elected in 2016 that I haven’t been thankful that I live in France, and not in the United States. Gun violence, white-supremacist militias, the shamelessly voiced opinions that all lives don’t matter—and that if you die from COVID-19, well, that’s just the way the cookie crumbles—fill me with dread. So does climate-change denial while the West Coast, where I was born and raised, goes up in smoke.

It does not really improve from there. Her few decent points about France are lost in her hatred of France, her worship of other misfits like herself – especially those prone to terrorism against Europeans, and her lies about the US. There’s mention of her parents, who may(?) live separately, her children, who live in different nations, and of course, herself; nothing about a husband. Funny.

The good news is that the US (and the remains of America) lost one of 100 million incompatible malcontents! The bad news is France gained one more. Net-zero for the West, really. 2033…

Here’s an idea for a post, essay, or book: Why America Left Me: Demographics Were Better, Especially Then.

BET, black supremacy, civil war, Proud Boys ideology, Trump, War

There doesn’t have to be, but there will be. That’s the subject of my FP podcast that I keep trying to upload to the AI elves.

Others, everywhere, are noticing too. BET, which I believe is a black supremacist hate network, reports on an ideological Proud Boy who warns, naturally of civil war – if Trump isn’t re-elected. BET said some things.

While he is a factor, the war is independent of Trump; expect trouble either way. And, when I write “war,” that’s what I mean, with or without continued riots. This is all the result of saying nothing, doing nothing, and tolerating constant stupidity and lies for decades. It may take decades to work out.
