Amerika, military, Muh Republik!

Neocon Clown Admiral Bill McRaven lays it down.

If our promises are meaningless, how will our allies ever trust us? If we can’t have faith in our nation’s principles, why would the men and women of this nation join the military? And if they don’t join, who will protect us? If we are not the champions of the good and the right, then who will follow us? And if no one follows us — where will the world end up?

President Trump seems to believe that these qualities are unimportant or show weakness. He is wrong. These are the virtues that have sustained this nation for the past 243 years. If we hope to continue to lead the world and inspire a new generation of young men and women to our cause, then we must embrace these values now more than ever.

And if this president doesn’t understand their importance, if this president doesn’t demonstrate the leadership that America needs, both domestically and abroad, then it is time for a new person in the Oval Office — Republican, Democrat or independent — the sooner, the better. The fate of our Republic depends upon it.

Yes! The fate of an entity that died horribly 158 years ago depends on flitting about the world, siding here and there with assorted primitives. But, that ship has sailed, Admiral.

As it has for some time. A great article on the subject, the first of two.

Insurgents have repeatedly battled US forces to a standoff or worse. Two major powers have weapons that can stymie or destroy significant parts of America’s conventional offensive capabilities, that can be used offensively with devastating effect, and for which the US has no defensive countermeasures.

This set of facts is plainly incompatible with the control the US establishment believes it can and should exercise around the world. Russia and China appear to have no such hegemonic aspirations, concentrating their efforts in their own backyards and letting the US waste its blood and treasure on imperialistic adventures. The US’s unipolar moment began fading in 1949 when the Soviet Union detonated its own atomic bomb, but repeated encounters with reality have done little to shake the illusion of control. Economic, financial, and political developments at home render the illusion delusional.

This week’s TPC column will cover some of these issues, from the perspective of my special interview guest. He says that the US shouldn’t be so keen even on relying on that nuclear threat – which it so happens is also fading. Coming soon!

air power, decline, flying cars, military, NGAD!, to infinity and below...

We’re only five years away from a new, totally awesome, very real, and not a complete crock of kleptocratic hot air, sixth-generation starfighter with laser cannons, proton torpedos, USB chargers, and live Twitter-streaming AI. So, says the Air Force!

The U.S. Air Force is preparing to radically alter the acquisition strategy for its next generation of fighter jets, with a new plan that could require industry to design, develop and produce a new fighter in five years or less.

On Oct. 1, the service will officially reshape its next-generation fighter program, known as Next Generation Air Dominance, or NGAD, Will Roper, the Air Force’s acquisition executive, said during an exclusive interview with Defense News.

Under a new office headed by a yet-unnamed program manager, the NGAD program will adopt a rapid approach to developing small batches of fighters with multiple companies, much like the Century Series of aircraft built in the 1950s, Roper said.

“Based on what industry thinks they can do and what my team will tell me, we will need to set a cadence of how fast we think we build a new airplane from scratch. Right now, my estimate is five years. I may be wrong,” he said. “I’m hoping we can get faster than that — I think that will be insufficient in the long term [to meet future threats] — but five years is so much better than where we are now with normal acquisition.”

Now, don’t go and remind them that they announced this back in 2008, putting them over six years behind schedule already. And, best not to mention that some things have changed (just a little) in ‘Murica since the 1950s.

I’m sure it will be just fine. After so many years and hundreds of billion$, they’ll launch something that can fly for ten or twelve miles, very slowly, at an altitude of 10 or 12 feet, only on a clear Thursday in February, before crashing into an apartment complex. My biggest worry is that I may bump into one while cruising chicks in my flying car! That, I still expect to have by 2021 2033, 2055 never.

In echelon we carry on…

America, children, deep decline, military, schools

Parents of children left adrift in the public schools face illegal threats to their parental rights.

A Pennsylvania school district is warning that children could end up in foster care if their parents do not pay overdue school lunch bills.

The letters sent recently to about 1,000 parents in Wyoming Valley West School District have led to complaints from parents and a stern rebuke from Luzerne County child welfare authorities.

The district says that it is trying to collect more than $20,000, and that other methods to get parents to pay have not been successful. Four parents owe at least $450 apiece.

Government schools = child abuse = destruction of families. However, this does not compare to the plans a few of the usual Satanists have for children (literally, for the children):

The best way to fix the U.S. armed forces’ recruiting challenges may involve dipping further into the nation’s high schools.

As the Army, Navy and other services contend with a thriving economy and a directive to expand their ranks, there is a growing debate over whether the military should consider lowering the minimum enlistment age from 17 to 16. More than a dozen countries, including the United Kingdom, already have adopted the policy.

Yes, take actual minor children, without the blemish of criminal records, and install them in the most criminally corrupt machine on Earth. Government schools = dyscivilizational child abuse.

Abolish the US Imperial Military

If the following is true (and, hey, we all know it is), then the US Empire’s armed forces are beyond useless, beyond absurd.

Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan has approved a Homeland Security request to assign 320 “personnel” to babysit illegal immigrants, driving them, feeding them and checking on their welfare, the Pentagon announced Monday.

The goal is to free up Border Patrol agents currently assigned to those duties so they can get back to patrolling the front lines.

The troops Mr. Shanahan has assigned the new duties will not be engaged in actual law enforcement and there will be Homeland Security officers present to handle actual custody of illegal immigrants, and to provide protection to the troops themselves, said Lt. Col. Jamie Davis.

Surrendering to foreign soldiers, on American soil, is one thing (and bad enough). This is utterly ridiculous. But, it has precedent. Occasionally, historically, conquering tribes would force some local eunuchs to act as their manservant slaves, as their babysitters.

Cue up that Lee Greenwood song. Maybe hit the Oxy.

Alarm and Hope

If the following, about armed American soldiers, on American soil, surrendering to Mexican troops is true, then it takes the border “emergency” to a whole new level.

Armed Mexican troops disarmed two United States soldiers while they were on the American side of the border, U.S. defense officials have said.

U.S. Northern Command said in a statement that “five to six Mexican military personnel questioned two U.S. Army soldiers who were conducting border support operations” this month. The U.S. soldiers were in an unmarked Customs and Border Protection [CBP] vehicle near the southwest border near Clint, Texas.

Officials confirmed that the Mexican troops were armed with what seemed to be rifles. They raised their weapons when they saw the two U.S. soldiers, and then took a pistol from one and put it in the CBP vehicle. According to officials talking to CNN, the two Americans obliged “in an attempt to de-escalate a potential volatile situation.”

“Throughout the incident, the U.S. soldiers followed all established procedures and protocols,” the statement said. The two U.S. troops were on the south side of the security perimeter but north of the Rio Grande and thus were in the U.S., according side American territory, it added.

Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security officials demanded an explanation from the Mexican government. “An inquiry by CBP and DOD [Department of Defense] revealed that the Mexican military members believed that the US Army soldiers were south of the border,” the statement said.

“Though they were south of the border fence, U.S. soldiers remained in U.S. territory, north of the actual border.”

If true, then this shows 1) how serious and lost a cause the Southern border is, and; 2) that the US military simply isn’t functional, cannot perform its most important mission, and should be disbanded. As an aside, the Mexican army regularly makes incursions into the US, sometimes encountering US law enforcement, and always without consequence. Another aside, Washington’s military, whatever their involvement in the crisis so far, has also failed to stand up at all against the unarmed, unorganized, sauntering hordes.

The Army can’t deal with “five or six” regular troops from a foreign nation invading American sovereignty. The Marines cannot operate in cyberspace. The Navy can’t steer or operate their floating targets ships anymore. The Air Force is out of pilots. The war-gaming computer says China and/or Russia will “hand it” to America’s forces. The system would appear to be completely broken. That’s the alarm.

The hope comes from the fact that, in the highly unlikely (*wink*) event of civil malfeasance, at least we won’t have to worry about insurgency from the Pentagram. Just have five or six patriots tell them to place their weapons in their vehicles and de-escalate.

Pentagon: American Not Ready for War with Russia or China:

The strategic American military system for moving troops, weapons, and supplies over long distances has decayed significantly and needs rapid upgrading to be ready for any future war with China or Russia, according to a report by the Pentagon’s Defense Science Board.

A special task force on survivable logistics evaluated the military’s current airlift, sealift, and prepositioned equipment and supplies and found major problems with supporting forces during a “high-end” conflict.

“Since the end of the Cold War, the United States has not fought an adversary capable of the catastrophic disruption of military supply chains and deployment of personnel and materiel,” an unclassified summary of the report states.

“As a result, the [joint logistics enterprise] has suffered neglect and chronic underfunding relative to other DoD priorities.”

Of course they can’t win. They can’t even engage the Southerly hordes down at the border, unorganized and unarmed. This Empire sure didn’t last long.

Read the rest – pretty alarming, if predictable.

VP and the PCA: 21st Century Ponderances

Vox and his readers pondered the potential limitations of the Posse Comitatus Act regarding military repulsion of the invading hordes. In my expert opinion, there are none.

As a reader noted, yes, the NDAA’s and other laws have taken what teeth there were out of the PCA. And, even intact, it doesn’t apply here. The sole purpose of the US military is to defend America, particularly from outright and open invasion. The PCA is a criminal statute, unchanged and never prosecuted (even once) since its inception in 1878. So, Mr. Trump, use the army, use all necessary to secure our borders. Then drive out the existing hosts and their rabid supporters (to include meddling federal judges) herein.

This, here and at VP, is the thought simply prohibited at the circus of social media (the new mental concentration camps). Forego the stupidity.

I find it amusing in a way that the US will immediately and without hesitation drop bombs in Syria for absolutely no reason at all. Yet, when it comes to defending our country from actual invasion, absolutely nothing is ever done.

Watch as the newest horde scrambles across the border.

And, they’re not sending us the very best.

I suppose we really might be out of serviceable A-10’s after all…

Good news! Opposite that last link, we have at least one Christian Pastor left in America still ready to stand up for Christianity. And he’s not backing down.

Compare and contrast that hard stand with what’s happened of late in Ireland. They legalized just about every form of depravity on the Emerald Isle. Now, some feign shock and outrage when rape suspects get off based on “what she was wearing.” One thing leads to another…

There, and here. Welcome the world, become the world.

2033, China, decline, military, Russia, War

This doesn’t look good. But it does look natural and excepted. US military advantage has eroded, study says:

“There is a strong fear of complacency, that people have become so used to the United States achieving what it wants in the world, to include militarily, that it isn’t heeding the warning signs,” said Kathleen Hicks, a former top Pentagon official during the Obama administration and one of the commissioners. “It’s the flashing red that we are trying to relay.”

The picture of the national security landscape that the 12-person commission sketched is a bleak one, in which an American military that has enjoyed undisputed dominance for decades is failing to receive the resources, innovation and prioritization its leaders need to outmuscle China and Russia in a race for military might reminiscent of the Cold War.

The military balance has shifted adversely for the United States in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, undermining the confidence of American allies and increasing the likelihood of military conflict, the commission found, after reviewing classified documents, receiving Pentagon briefings and interviewing top defense officials.

“The U.S. military could suffer unacceptably high casualties and loss of major capital assets in its next conflict. It might struggle to win, or perhaps lose, a war against China or Russia,” the report said. “The United States is particularly at risk of being overwhelmed should its military be forced to fight on two or more fronts simultaneously.”

In its list of 32 recommendations, the commission urged the Pentagon to explain more clearly how it intends to defeat major-power rivals in competition and war. It assailed the strategy for relying at times on “questionable assumptions and weak analysis” and leaving “unanswered critical questions.”

Economic depression, this foreign defeat, and 2033. Are you a prepper??

On a not unrelated note, given the expected “unacceptably high casualties,” maybe we could use a little of the overseas adventurism budget to shore up some of these 1-star VA zombie factories.

I read somewhere – somewhere stupid like Facebook maybe – a while back about some fantasy scenario which pitted the mighty US military against the entire world. In the fantasy, the US won, cakewalk style, in about a day. Questionable assumptions and weak analysis, there. A touch of insanity too. This is going to be hard to accept if or when it happens. 460 AD. Rome.
