Authoritarian … at the Local Level!

That’s so much better, isn’t it? It is technically because some localities won’t play along with Dr. Fauci’s heavy-handed totalitarianism. Of course, next, he’ll recommend a national mask mandate.

“I don’t like to be authoritarian from the federal government, but at the local level, if governors and others essentially mandate the use of masks when you have an outbreak, I think that would be very important,” Fauci told Alabama Sen. Doug Jones during a Facebook live event in July.

Until now.

“Well, if people are not wearing masks, then maybe we should be mandating it,” Fauci told CNN’s Erin Burnett Friday.

Right. Mandate the masks that do nothing to stop the virus (which still hasn’t been identified, isolated, or sequenced, and which appears to be lowering total deaths in the US for 2020) while causing numerous health problems – some of them very serious like cancer or brain damage. The masks make you sick.

You may hear people saying that surgeons and nurses wear masks like this all day. Um, no. No they don’t. They’re trained in the proper use of masks, which is to wear them in the OR, then dispose of the mask when they leave that room. Are you aware that operating rooms are actually supplied extra oxygen, to compensate for the reduction in oxygen flow from mask wearing? To my mind, it’s criminal (not hyperbole) to force children to wear masks all day. Setting aside the very real psychological effects, we’re going to have a generation of brain damaged children. Ever heard the expression, “Not enough oxygen at birth?” That’s a joke at the expense of a mentally challenged person, but that’s literally what we’re doing. And we’re told it’s to “keep us safe”! We’re told this by doctors who actually don’t know about PPE and laypeople who have no clue.

We have more than enough brain damage as-is. Someone get Fauci some supplemental oxygen quickly!

Or, Just Eat Less

A study:

The study was published on April 20, 2020, in The Journal of Clinical Investigation.

According to Steven L. Teitelbaum, MD, the principal investigator of the study and Wilma and Roswell Messing Professor of Pathology & Immunology, their study has developed a proof of concept that it is possible to regulate weight gain by modulating the activity of the inflammatory cells.

He adds that it might work in several ways, but their team believed that it might be able to control obesity and its complications by managing inflammation better.

If this works, and if it’s marketed correctly, then in America the potential profits could be super-sized. O, the cheap, no wait approach: eat less, walk more.

The USA is the fattest nation in the world. We’re number one! We’re number one! It’s also the nation with the most COVID cases. We’re number one! We’re number one!

The two are linked.

Being overweight is a major risk for people infected with the new coronavirus and the United States is particularly vulnerable because of high obesity levels there, France’s chief epidemiologist said on Wednesday.

Professor Jean-François Delfraissy, who heads the scientific council that advises the government on the epidemic, said as many as 17 million of France’s 67 million citizens were seriously at risk from the coronavirus because of age, pre-existing illness or obesity.

The French are lightweights. They don’t even have freedom fries. 17 of 67 million? That’s only 25%. ‘Muricans are three times as fat as the frogs!

Eat. Less.

Walk.

Or. Die?

There are many that affect the COVID condition. Three of note:

Though severe coronavirus cases have been reported among younger and middle-aged adults, doctors say older adults, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions seem to be most at risk for the sudden decline.

Denson said nearly all of his most critically ill patients have a combination of three specific underlying medical problems: obesity, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.

Not good news for 40% of Americans.

Taxing Sidewalks for Obesity

Or some such nonsense. Communism is the only solution ever floated by our insane caste of elites and experts. It’s the go-to for “climate change”, and now for obesity.

Dietz faulted the government for not pushing for more measures to promote physical activity and better eating. Building more sidewalks and passing a national tax on sugary beverages could make a big difference, he said.

Taxes and sidewalks… Well, I guess the gubmit best act as there is absolutely nothing the individual can do to improve his own health. Case closed…

42% of US adults are obese, up from whenever the last survey was conducted (which was also up, etc, etc). Something like 70% of the public is overweight – meaning just too heavy. Obese means severely overweight. 10% of adults are grossly obese. That’s about 27 million people. What does that mean? Really, really severely overweight?

Once again, I propose two simple solutions that do not involve taxes: 1) eat less, 2) move around some. It occurs to me that, despite writing the same things for years, the problem keeps getting worse. I may, in the future, employ reverse psychology.

This has been out for a while, maybe it’s the grey matter loss that prevented the press from realizing that smartphones rewire brains. Just like drug addiction.

Smartphone addiction physically changes the shape and size of the human brain in a similar way to the organ of a drug addict, a study has found.

Images taken by an MRI scanner revealed the brains of people with SPA (smartphone addiction) have lower grey matter volume in some key parts of the brain.

The images also revealed decreased activity in the brains of smartphone addicts compared to non-addicts.

Similar patterns and trends of dwindling grey matter have also been recorded in the mind of drug addicts.

Our diets too.

This virus, which the Chinese is rapidly spreading, is still statistically insignificant. In Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak, only .00011% of the people are infected (add more zeros for the national perspective). Only .00029% are severe cases. And only .000003% have died. Math.

Also, a happy first day of the Year of the Rat to the Chinese! At least they get to rotate critters every year. For those who have been to Washington, we know the US has the rat every year.

For Big Evil Tech, there’s all your data and a piece of the $3 T pie. Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon care deeply about your health. Really.

The breadth of access wasn’t always spelled out by hospitals and tech giants when the deals were struck.

The scope of data sharing in these and other recently reported agreements reveals a powerful new role that hospitals play—as brokers to technology companies racing into the $3 trillion health-care sector. Rapid digitization of health records and privacy laws enabling companies to swap patient data have positioned hospitals as a primary arbiter of how such sensitive data is shared.

“Hospitals are massive containers of patient data,” said Lisa Bari, a consultant and former lead for health information technology for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Innovation Center.

Hospitals can share patient data as long as they follow federal privacy laws, which contain limited consumer protections, she said. “The data belongs to whoever has it.”

Remember, it’s all about you, but it’s not yours. Slaves don’t own things, you know.

This study isn’t at all surprising, as one health begets another.

A great deal of focus these days is placed on the possible harm many athletes may be doing to their brains due to the hard hitting nature of contact sports like football or hockey. While the serious and debilitating nature of CTE-related and concussion injuries are indisputable at this point, an interesting new study conducted at Northwestern University is playing devil’s advocate in the debate surrounding sports and brain health.

Researchers say that as long as an athlete avoids head injuries, their brain is likely healthier than a non-athlete’s. This was found to be the case across a variety of sports, including contact sports like football, soccer, and hockey.

“No one would argue against the fact that sports lead to better physically fitness, but we don’t always think of brain fitness and sports,” says senior author Nina Kraus, the Hugh Knowles Professor of Communication Sciences and Neurobiology and director of Northwestern’s Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory, in a release. “We’re saying that playing sports can tune the brain to better understand one’s sensory environment.”

After analyzing close to 1,000 participants, including roughly 500 (both male and female) college Division I athletes, the study found that athletes develop an enhanced ability to quiet electrical noise in their minds. This makes it easier for athletes to quickly and efficiently process external sounds on hectic playing fields, such as their coach yelling instructions from the bench.

Hit the gym. Pass the ball. Read a book. EZ.

America, dumber, fat, health, obesity

I’m sure you’re out walking off those holiday pounds, if only at a black Friday sale. And, pounds Americans do have to lose. Fatter than ever…

As the second decade of the 21st century ends, a look back at 2010-2019 finds that more Americans have said they weigh at least 200 pounds than did so from 2001-2009. An average of 28% of Americans said they weighed 200 pounds or more from 2010-2019, up from 24% during the prior decade. Accordingly, Americans’ average self-reported weight has also risen, to 178 pounds — up from 174 pounds during the previous decade, with similar increases among men (4 pounds) and women (3 pounds).

More lies than ever too. The stats are waaaay off. A simple look around will tell you the average Amerikan is over 300 pounds, ugly, with 18 tattoos, insane, and shit stupid. The gross obesity literally feeds the mental decline.

From DTI, the researchers derived a measure called fractional anisotropy (FA), which correlates with the condition of the brain’s white matter. A reduction in fractional anisotropy is indicative of increasing damage in the white matter.

The results showed reduction of FA values in the obese adolescents in regions located in the corpus callosum, a bundle of nerve fibre that connects the left and right hemispheres of the brain.

Decrease of fractional anisotropy was also found in the middle orbitofrontal gyrus, a brain region related to emotional control and the reward circuit. None of the brain regions in obese patients had increased fractional anisotropy.

According to researchers, this pattern of damage correlated with some inflammatory markers, like leptin, a hormone made by fat cells that helps regulate energy and fat stores.

In some obese people, the brain doesn’t respond to leptin, causing them to keep eating despite adequate or excessive fat stores. This condition, known as leptin resistance, makes the fat cells produce even more leptin.

Worsening condition of the white matter was also associated with levels of insulin, a hormone produced in the pancreas that helps regulate blood sugar levels. Obese people often suffer from insulin resistance.

I’m confident that another 700 million third world invaders and a wealth tax can fix this.
