What’s the 16th largest US bank collapsing mean, anyway?

The California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation said Friday that it was taking over and closing the distressed bank to protect deposits, naming the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as its receiver. The FDIC has formed a separate entity where all insured SVB deposits will be available by Monday morning.

The closure marks the biggest bank failure since the 2008 financial crisis and the second-largest on record after Washington Mutual collapsed during that industry-wide meltdown, according to FDIC data.

I really hope nobody took CNBC’s advice (as always) to BUY! BUY! BUY! just recently. Oh well. By the time the larger banks begin falling no one will even remember this little hiccup.

PS: If you have had money in this Ponzi scheme institution, and if you try to get it back, well, they’re calling the cops on people like you. “MURICA!

We have freedom fries, not the Stasi.

Under the domestic-intelligence program, officials are allowed to seek interviews with just about anyone in the United States. That includes people held in immigrant detention centers, local jails, and federal prison. DHS’s intelligence professionals have to say they’re conducting intelligence interviews, and they have to tell the people they seek to interview that their participation is voluntary. But the fact that they’re allowed to go directly to incarcerated people — circumventing their lawyers — raises important civil liberties concerns, according to legal experts.

Okay, so we have a Stasi. We still have freedom fries. They’re not free, but at least we have constant spying on us everywhere we go. All perfectly illegal, so don’t worry.

Previously, a real leader could have used some of the same policies set in motion by wicked communists like Duhbya to end this tyranny. We had no such leader. Thus all we can do is ride out the storm of the final days and years of the dying GAE. Just beware in doing so that “they” are in fact watching and listening.

Some people, as Saint Paul knew, are not meant to have families. Most, however, are. So there is something off-putting about the intentional “child-free” movement.

The term ‘child-free’ has existed since the early 1900s, although it wasn’t until the 1970s that feminists began using it more widely, as a way of denoting women who were voluntarily childless as a distinct group. The suffix ‘free’ was chosen to capture the sense of freedom and lack of obligation felt by many of those who had voluntarily decided not to have kids.

Party like it’s 1999! Or 2029! Or … 2049… Or… Now, everyone can be a selfish Boomer. For a little while. Stories already abound as to what eventually happens to all these free feminists lacking obligation: they’re usually discovered alone and dead after days, weeks, or months of decomposition. The cats, the fur babies, just don’t seem to know how to call for help.

Replace the cats with a swarthy orderly in a nursing home, and you have a potential pillowing. Of course, as the Tiking Tokers suggest, if you like naps, then the great long one might not be so bad.

Now, in what would mark a departure from centuries of tradition, bishops are to launch a project “on gendered language” referencing God in church services later this year.

The move has been criticised by conservatives, who have warned that “male and female imagery is not interchangeable”. However, liberal Christians have  welcomed it, claiming that “a theological misreading of God as exclusively male is a driver of much continuing discrimination and sexism against women”.

A protest ending very poorly. There’s always hope, but it would be appropriate and understandable to bid England and the Church of England a fond farewell.

The journalist says: ‘And it’s amazing you got schools to purchase the curriculum…’ But Bostic interrupts and says: ‘And they don’t even know what’s going on.”

He is evil. But so are the people who run the failed schools. The people who send their children to the failed schools, which skewing wicked, are largely retarded. They also lack faith, bouncing around from one protty prosperity concern to another as the number of churchian outlets continues to shrink.

The end of all this will not be pleasant, but at least, it is ending.

And, slowly but surely, more folks are noticing that 2022 changed a few things.

Now, the sheer strength of the dollar, its use under President Joe Biden to enforce sanctions on Russia this year and new technological innovations are together encouraging nations to start chipping away at its hegemony. Treasury officials declined to comment on these developments.

I’m sure 2023 will be much smoother.

How about because of the surge? I know the fake megachurches aren’t the only reason for ‘Murica’s terminal decline, but they certainly have ushered it along.

Fewer and fewer ‘Muricans (and/or USians) believe in God.

The share of Americans who belong to churches dipped below half in 2020, a historic low, according to Gallup polling.

Church membership held steady at around 70 percent of the U.S. population from the 1940s through the 1990s. Membership plummeted in the new millennium.

Belief in God was near-universal in previous generations. It’s a notion bound up in American identity, not to mention American currency.

In 1954, at the height of the Cold War, President Eisenhower signed a bill that added the words “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance. The next year, he signed a bill that inscribed “In God We Trust” on currency.

Yeah, the blasphemous association of the Almighty with a degenerate, satanic empire probably didn’t help. The 1789 USSA was an Enlightenment trap. Literally nothing we have been told to cherish is Godly. Honestly, the dead, gay, Talmudic republic deserves its fate.

Professor Bruce Thornton pretty much nails the collapse of higher liberal education in the US.

Those days are gone. Today our educational institutions are grubby, rent-seeking businesses, and propaganda organs for illiberal, incoherent ideologies based on the “higher nonsense” that has captured “higher education,” and from there trickled down into K-12 schools. No wonder the majority of the products of those failed institutions, like Generation Z, support letting murderers go free, censoring speech that challenges their “stock notions and habits,” joining the anti-carbon “green” cult, and subjecting children to drag-queen shows and inappropriate sexual curricula.

Leaving aside the fact the K-12s were DOA from their inception, and removing the Judeo-Christian non sequitur, renders his analysis almost perfect. I’m sure Senator Walker will lead the charge to reverse this curse. Oh, no, wait…
