A few things, by way of update:

The reviews of THE SUBSTITUTE are slow to come, but they’re all good. The most recent from Amazon:

5.0 out of 5 stars Glad I bought The Substitute

December 25, 2019

Verified Purchase
Surprisingly Delightful!
After seeing the unusual cover picture, I did not know what to expect. The author did not disappoint, it was an interesting read for me, for sure. His writing style and characters remind me a bit of Stuart Woods – I’m glad I bought this book!

Thanks, Jenn!

I have some edits prepared and underway to make the reading a little easier. Look for those soon and when you see them. Also, I am happy to announce the following tentative progress:

AURELIUS: Coming early in 2020; a Tom Ironsides (first person) novella and prequel to THE SUBSTITUTE; about 1/3 – 1/2 finished and rapidly gaining ground.

THE HUNTING OF ???: Also for 2020; another Ironsides’s adventure in the run-up to THE SUBSTITUTE (and AURELIUS); a novelette or shorter novella; about 1/2 finished.

SANGUINIS LEX: Another substantial novel that I hope to have out in the coming year. It’s a blended-genre book set in the Ironsides’s world, though only very briefly featuring him (and Dandy and the Bass Slayers…); the expression of an idea I have had since very early in the Century. It’s a dark and dangerous ride into a most uncomfortable subject. But hey, half the blending is romance, so there’s that. “Sanguinis Lex” roughly translates to “the law of the blood,” if that helps give any hints. This one is purey in draft form – they’re all in draft form – and it’s about (maybe) 1/5th complete, in an incomplete way. A most pressing literary endeavor.

As always, there will be more drivel here, perhaps with a few structural changes (like I always threaten); and look for the first TPC column of 2020 next week – a return to non-fictional views on the affairs of the nation, unique and interesting to be sure.

Much more to come.

Happy first day of winter 2020. Roll, Boris, roll.

Britain took a big step towards the European Union exit door on Friday when lawmakers gave preliminary approval to Conservative Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s EU divorce bill in a decisive vote that broke years of political deadlock over Brexit.

The House of Commons, with its Conservative ranks swollen after Johnson’s election victory last week, voted 358-234 for the Withdrawal Agreement Bill, clearing the way for the U.K. to leave the European Union next month.

Friday’s vote was a moment of triumph for Johnson, who won a commanding parliamentary majority in last week’s general election on a promise to end more than three years of political gridlock and lead Britain out of the European Union on Jan. 31.

May this be the final forty days in the great wait.

2020, invasion, lies, Michael Bloomberg, population

Little liar Gloomberg is telling short tale while pandering his way toward nomination defeat next year.

Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg said Tuesday that the United States needs “an awful lot more immigrants rather than less.”

On his second day campaigning for the Democratic nomination, the former New York City mayor contrasted his views on immigration with President Donald Trump’s restrictive policies and laid out a vision of a multicultural society enriched by immigrants.

Doomberg, ironically, proved just why immigrants are too dangerous to tolerate. And, what is the obsession with the population? Beyond political control, I mean. Birth-rates and invasion and that’s it. If the birthrate is at an all-time low, then why does the total population keep rising?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed the findings of their 2018 study on Wednesday.

There were 3,791,712 registered births in the US, a figure lower than the amount of babies needed to replenish the population.

TWO KIDS PER WOMAN
The total fertility rate, which is the amount of offspring a hypothetical woman will have in her lifetime, had also dropped.

For 2018, that figure stood at 1,729.5 births per 1,000 women aged 15 to 44, which marked four years where the rate had decreased.

In order to keep the current population stable, there would need to be 2,100 births per 1,000 women based on that metric.

This means that each woman in the US would need to have at least two children, if not more.

The CDC? Are kids a disease now? I suppose so, so long as they’re white. What a shame that there’s no way to produce new Americans. Maybe Shitberg has a point…

This won’t help. Add in the DNC one-percenter.

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s essentially limitless budget for his Democratic presidential bid adds uncertainty to an already crowded and unsettled race while increasing the odds of a prolonged nominating battle in a contest that has yet to produce a definitive front-runner.

We’ll have some definitive losers though. Still think it’s Warren, who is sick of freeloaders like DoomBerg.

There is No Upper Limit on Taxation

"Civil" War, 2020, 2033, Elizabeth Warren, taxes, theft

Another potential gift of the 16th Amendment. Squaw Warren’s tax plan is technically, legally possible.

Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren has unveiled sweeping tax proposals that would push federal tax rates on some billionaires and multimillionaires above 100%.

That prospect raises questions for taxpayers and the broader economy that experts are starting to ponder: Under which circumstances would taxpayers have to pay those rates? How might that change their behavior? And would investment and economic growth suffer?

Potential tax rates over 100% could result from the combination of tax increases the Massachusetts senator proposes for the very top tier of investors. She wants to return the top income-tax rate to 39.6% from 37%, impose a new 14.8% tax for Social Security, add an annual tax of up to 6% on accumulated wealth and require rich investors to pay capital-gains taxes at the same rates as other income even if they don’t sell their assets.

Consider a billionaire with a $1,000 investment who earns a 6% return, or $60, received as a capital gain, dividend or interest. If all of Ms. Warren’s taxes are implemented, he could owe 58.2% of that, or $35 in federal tax. Plus, his entire investment would incur a 6% wealth tax, i.e., at least $60. The result: taxes as high as $95 on income of $60 for a combined tax rate of 158%.

One of the lies told to sell the Sixteenth was that the highest rate would never come close to 10%. My weak math skills suggest that 158 is greater than 10. This may be TPC’s topic for next week. For now, I think I am actually in favor of this scheme of theft and slavery. But maybe that’s just the accelerationist in me. Tick. Tick. Tick.

UPDATE: When reading the WSJ article about Squaw, note the names of the policy-makers and backers.

2020, guts, Hillary Clinton, slander, Tulsi Gabbard

Tulsi Gabbard has more fire in her (toned) belly than 63/64ths of all conservatives combined. She isn’t taking Killary’s slander lying down.

Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard has sent an official communication to Hillary Clinton — through her attorneys — demanding the 2016 Democartic [SIC] nominee retract her comment on Gabbard and Russia.

“Your statement is defamatory, and we demand that you retract it immediately,” the letter reads.

“In making the statement, you knew it was false. Congresswoman Gabbard is not a Russian asset and is not being groomed by Russia,”the letter said. “Besides your statement, no law enforcement or intelligence agencies have claimed, much less presented any evidence, that Congresswoman Gabbard is a Russian asset. This fabricated story is so facially improbable that it is actionable as defamation.”

Legally, I think the claim is tenuous at best. But, it is refreshing to see someone fighting a bare attempt at a good old 2016 Bernie Sandersing. If you vote the D, consider the T.

“Heather” explains how to vote for someone based on your thinking that the candidate won’t/can’t win. Brilliant.

Three years ago, thousands of these Americans — many working-class, residing in the middle of the country — helped deliver the most astounding electoral surprise in modern history. Now, as they review the Trump presidency a year before his re-election, some are showing signs of turning on conventional wisdom again.

Heather, a local administrative assistant here who is married with a stroller-bound toddler, is still so embarrassed by her 2016 vote that she wasn’t comfortable revealing her last name.

“I’m ashamed to admit . . . But I’m of a more conservative bent and family. I just couldn’t vote for Hillary. But I also thought there’s no way Trump was going to win. This way, I could at least say, ‘Well I didn’t vote for her,’” she said. “I didn’t think I was doing any harm.”

While Heather isn’t sharing her conversion far and wide, she’s already decided “there’s no chance” she’d vote for Trump again. “Heavens no,” she said. “Trump basically turned me into a Democrat.”

The 2020 presidential campaign has been engrossed in a debate over which demographic groups Democrats should devote most of their attention to in order to reclaim the White House. African-Americans in urban areas? Rural voters who flipped from Barack Obama to Trump? Newly emerging but unreliable young people?

But the one pivotal group showing the most evident signs of splitting from the president are white working-class women, according to a review of polling data, focus groups and interviews with more than a dozen party strategists and voters like Heather.

There was the deal of 19: get the vote in exchange for learning to use it. Someone hasn’t kept her end of the bargain. Maybe the stellar GOP strategists will notice this trend too – maybe around 2024.

“Our campaign has been about seeing clearly, speaking honestly and acting decisively in the best interests of America,” O’Rourke wrote in a Medium post. “Though it is difficult to accept, it is clear to me now that this campaign does not have the means to move forward successfully. My service to the country will not be as a candidate or as the nominee.”

Maybe it will be as an expat!? He can swim off and find Nemo now.

1965, 2020, deep decline, election, GOP, invasion

Almost all. They could have added in Fed fiat policy and neocon warmongering. As is, it’s alarming enough.

At the M.O. Campbell Educational Center, where murals honoring the arts and sciences adorn the walls, U.S. immigration officials routinely hold packed naturalization ceremonies. Immigrants approved for citizenship walk in, take the oath of allegiance, and walk out as Americans — and as a small army of new voters.

“It will never, ever be easier to register than it is this morning,” U.S. District Judge Keith P. Ellison, who presided over a ceremony last month, told the 2,155 immigrants from more than 100 countries who had just taken their citizenship oaths. “The record for registrations is 89% of those who are sworn in. … Let’s see if we can break that record today.”

Amish Soni, a 34-year-old radiologist from India holding a small American flag, was one of the 85% who registered to vote that morning, aided by a volunteer from the League of Women Voters. He “definitely” plans to vote in 2020, partly because he thinks the health care system should be fixed, but also: “I’m not a big fan of Donald Trump.” And he’s far from the only one.

At ceremonies like these across the country, hundreds of thousands of immigrants are expected to receive their U.S. citizenship and become eligible to vote before November 2020, gently reshaping — and threatening — the electoral path that President Donald Trump must thread to win reelection.

Over the last two decades, naturalized immigrants have grown into a force at the ballot box, with the United States recently swearing in more than 700,000 foreign-born U.S. citizens each year.

Naturalized citizens — who share the full legal rights of natural-born citizens, except for the ability to become president — cast more than 8% of the ballots in the 2018 midterm elections, almost double their share in the 1996 presidential contest, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates.

Surveys show that many of the new citizens are liberal-leaning, which is one of several demographic trends helping put some historically red states such as Texas, Arizona and Georgia closer to Democrats’ reach.

The gains in immigrants’ electoral strength have been gradual. But Trump’s anti-immigration policies may be accelerating the trend by spurring even more people to naturalize and to vote, worrying some moderate Republican experts.

“It’s not ‘bad-ish’ news. It’s extremely bad,” said Mike Madrid, a Sacramento-based GOP consultant who studies Latino voters. He thinks the party’s use of anti-immigrant rhetoric to mobilize non-college-educated white voters will come at a steep electoral price. “This is a five-alarm fire.”

Lies about magic dirt “Americans” – check. Ingrate NOT-American trying to convert the US into India – check. Women voters continuing the Curse of 19 – check. The specter of Blue State Georgia – check (if not 2020, then done in 2022). A GOP cuck cucking as cuckily as possible – check.

Hottie vs. Hag 2019! – From TPC

This one is pretty damned good…

Let’s Get Ready to Rumblllllle: Candidate Catfight 2019! Hottie Vs. Hag!!!

First … last week I facetiously mentioned that I might review some of that modern TeeVee programming. And, I really did! This being the end of October and all, I figured there might be something spooky worth watching. Upon finding a working tube, I sat down and flipped a few channels (there are more than four now!). Soon, I discovered what I thought would be interesting entertainment. It was a show featuring a large, ornate room. Within the room was a babbling pack of psychotic retarded people, most of them exhibiting signs of demon-possession. I said, “Cool! A horror movie!” But, after watching for maybe ten minutes I realized it was just C-SPAN.

And there you have it. Congress. Washington. The Republicrats. Idiocracy + Psycho = Yo GubMint. Now, now, this isn’t another (justified) hit piece on the whole apparatus. My title alludes to some trouble brewing in the Democratic Party. Literally, there’s a hag out to get a hottie. Much like a flick worthy of Halloween, a wicked witch has her wicked sights set on the sweet Everygirl. I can’t very well leave that alone.

There are – believe this or not – a few politicians I think DO NOT look like potential street lamp ornaments. In Congress, among maybe a few others, we have: Rand Paul (R-KY); Ed Markey (D-MA), and; Tulsi “Hot Surfer Girl” Gabbard (D-HI). Rand is kind of like his father, but a little further out of time. Good guy. I know little of Markey’s positions on most issues, but the man is all over the intersection of technology creep and personal privacy. A good guy. Gabbard, in addition to be the best-looking lady in Congress, also maintains the Founders’ sane sensibilities about foreign policy. She’s also an Imperial Yankee Army Officer and she’s running for President.

I called her doom back in June when she effectively Ron Pauled herself during a debate. When asked some idiotic question about phucking around with Iran, she had this to say:

“War with Iran would be worse than war with Iraq,” said Gabbard, an Iraq War veteran. “Donald Trump and his chickenhawk cabinet—Mike Pompeo, John Bolton, and others—are creating a situation where a spark would light a war with Iran. Trump needs to get back into the Iran deal, swallow his pride, and put America first.”

This was akin to RP’s “I’m the only one on this [RNC] stage who has ever worn the uniform.” Like Paul, she handily won the debate, if polls are to be trusted. And like him, she sealed her fate. I knew the Uniparty/Deep State would deep-six her; I just didn’t know when or how.

Enter the hag…

Last week, former Secretary of Moloch, Hillary Clinton (D-Gorgoroth), opened fire on the brave, beautiful veteran. Some of you might recall that, back in 2016, Killary was defeated by The Donald (who, for his part, has made no effort to “lock her up”). Back then, she had Russia! on her brain. I suppose the condition is permanent. While the rest of the pack moved on to fake Ukraine! claims and, now, to fake, baseless, hearsay impeachment rants, Killary is still claiming everyone to the right of Mao is a Russian agent, asset, hacker, mole, or plant. Just like Trump, according to Cankles, Gabbard is a Putin protégé:

Hillary Clinton said that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is being groomed by Moscow to run as a third-party spoiler candidate in 2020 to help President Trump win reelection.

…

“They are also going to do third party again,” Clinton, 71, said. “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” Clinton said, referring to Gabbard, without mentioning the Hawaii representative by name.

“She is a favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far. That’s assuming Jill Stein will give it up, which she might not because she is also a Russian asset.”

Oops! Jill Stein too… And, you – you bots, if you support Stein or Gabbard (or Trump) (or anyone else not HRC or HRC-approved).

…
