A top medical journal at the heart of several pandemic-related controversies published a major COVID-19 Commission report Wednesday that concluded the deadly pathogen might possibly have leaked from a United States laboratory.

Lancet, and others, have been saying this for a while now. Not as long as people like Ron Unz or me, but still. And, it was not – please stop the crazy conspiracy theories – it was not a leak. Deliberate bioweapons attacks are not leaks.

A closely watched estimate from the U.S. Census Bureau released Thursday indicates that Texas may have passed a long-awaited milestone: the point where Hispanic residents make up more of the state’s population than white residents.

The new population figures, derived from the bureau’s American Community Survey, showed Hispanic Texans made up 40.2% of the state’s population in 2021 while non-Hispanic white Texans made up 39.4%. The estimates — based on comprehensive data collected over the 2021 calendar year — are not considered official.

It’s not the end of the world – just the American part of it in TX. Most Hispanics and Whites get along moderately well in TX. And, if they don’t in the future, the state is huge and can easily subdivide as needed. The present and the future – get this, Boomers – exist and they are markedly different than the past. The future belongs to those who show up for it.

Don’t worry Boomer Cons, muh Fourth Amendment protects against unwarranted (illegal) searches and seizures in the airport.

U.S. government officials are adding data from as many as 10,000 electronic devices each year to a massive database they’ve compiled from cellphones, iPads and computers seized from travelers at the country’s airports, seaports and border crossings, leaders of Customs and Border Protection told congressional staff in a briefing this summer.

The rapid expansion of the database and the ability of 2,700 CBP officers to access it without a warrant — two details not previously known about the database — have raised alarms in Congress about what use the government has made of the information, much of which is captured from people not suspected of any crime. CBP officials told congressional staff the data is maintained for 15 years.

Details of the database were revealed Thursday in a letter to CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus from Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), who criticized the agency for “allowing indiscriminate rifling through Americans’ private records” and called for stronger privacy protections.

Stronger protections?! B-b-but, muh constitution!

Maybe the USSA didn’t defeat the Noble Confederacy 157 years ago. After all, Washington is still fighting the “lost cause.”

An independent commission is recommending that the Confederate Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery be dismantled and taken down, as part of its final report to Congress on the renaming of military bases and assets that commemorate the Confederacy.

Panel members on Tuesday rolled out the final list of ships, base roads, buildings and other items that they said should be renamed. But unlike the commission’s recommendations earlier this year laying out new names for nine Army bases, there were no suggested names for the roughly 1,100 assets across the military that bear Confederate names.

Retired Army Brig. Gen. Ty Seidule, vice-chair of the commission, said the final cost for all of its renaming recommendations will be $62,450,030.

I haven’t looked into it, but I’d guess $62 million would go a long way towards restoring full water service in Jackson. But hey, priorities. Whatever the cost, go ahead and spend the fake money; the ancient namesakes were and are too good for the dead empire.

They may very well get what they want, at long last. Medvedev isn’t alone in calling it like it is. Anatoly Antonov states the obvious:

US Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov stated RIA Novosti, that the beginning of the supply of American long-range ballistic missiles to Kiev is fraught with direct involvement of the United States in a military conflict with Russia.

As the head of the Russian diplomatic mission noted, the range of destruction of ATACMS reaches 300 kilometers, which, when such weapons enter Ukraine, large Russian cities will fall into the area of possible destruction, as well as industrial and transport infrastructure.

“A similar scenario would mean a direct US pull in a military confrontation with Russia,” Antonov said.

I suppose that if they satanists who control “my” country get what they want – and they will not like how it ends – I will have to self-censor around here lest I be declared an official “enemy of the evil.”
