The Need For Families With Children

*For perhaps the first time ever, I have a co-author on this one! While she may lift my usual ramblings up to some higher level, I gladly welcome the wit and charm of Alabama’s own beautiful and fearless Lynne Neal.

Our word “nation” is derived from the Latin term “natio”, which itself is akin to “nāscor”, which means “being born”, as are the children of the union of a man and a woman. One may see that “nation” is naturally, etymologically related to “natal”, that is, of or pertaining to the birth of babies. Babies grow up to become adults who perpetuate a cycle of life and societal existence. A nation is a collection of similar people, in a somewhat defined area, who share common ethnic, religious, cultural, historical, moral, linguistic, and genetic physio-psychological traits. It is essentially a large extended family. Without new generations of children, it will cease to exist.

Western nations are under extreme assault by the forces of satan. Western cities now regularly burn with the literal fires of invasion, war, and collapse. Americans, like most other native Western populations, have long ceased having children at the necessary rate of replacement. All recent US population growth is driven exclusively by foreigners. This will permanently change —and already has permanently changed— the post-American US society. 

After World War Two, the wicked leaders of the West decided to replace the native populations of their host countries by halting or curtailing the births of new natives while simultaneously importing hordes of foreign invaders. The decent if gullible people of the West have blindly, sometimes selfishly gone along with these schemes based on the hollow and obviously false promises of economic benefits, the “strength” of diversity, and faux pleasure. Meanwhile, other more faithful and intelligent countries have found novel ways to perpetuate and increase their own native populations. 

In China, which has not suffered the old “one child” policy in years, tech companies are now paying their Chinese employees stipends to have more Chinese children. 

In 2019, Viktor Orban’s government in Hungary legally instituted massive tax breaks for young Hungarian families who have Hungarian children. This may include lifetime 100% income tax abatements. 

Even as it militarily smashes Clown World to pieces, the Russian Federation is in the process of re-ordering all of its society in order to foster Russian family building and the birth of additional Russian children. At the 2022 SPIEF conference, Vladimir Putin wisely said:

Russia’s future is ensured by families with two, three and more children. Therefore, we need to do more than provide direct financial support – we need to target and direct the healthcare system, education, and all areas that determine the quality of people’s lives towards the needs of families with children.

As usual, Putin is dead serious. He essentially told the young adults of Russia to forge ahead, not to worry about the costs, and that the nation would guarantee the success of their fruitful endeavors. 

If the terminal demographic decline in America is to be reversed or ameliorated in any way, then we must emulate the positive examples of the Sovereign nations. Our young people must get married and have as many children as they can. This simple biological and mathematical truth runs counter to the lies of the past half-century. But again, we are under attack by satan.

In Genesis 9:7, God the Father instructed Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. Children are a blessing. Fulfillment of this blessing, of course, necessitates understanding how to nurture and instruct the young. Should one want a written how-to guide for properly raising children, then one should look no further than the Biblical Book of Sirach (Ecclesiasticus). Though Protestants may have never heard of this Book, they would still do well to consider its wisdom. Catholics, who may have heard of it, would do very well to read it. 

There is some great news! Many members of our vital younger generations have and exhibit great wisdom. Some use it instinctively, while others only require the easy fix of subtle redirection. They desperately want normalcy. They, like the rest of us, have lived through the lies, and seen the damage inflicted upon our people and culture. Unlike so many of the rest of us, Generation Z, the soon-to-rise Gen A, and many Millennials have the chance and ability to correct course. We must assist them. It’s up to us, probably alone, as our governments, corporations, and popular (anti)culture will do nothing beyond continuing the lethal policies of the past and present. A huge step is to simply separate from the toxic death cult of postmodern society. Once one starts that relatively easy process, it only becomes easier and more natural.

While the aggregate percentage of unmarried Americans is at a record high, many of our young men and women still marry each other. They’re staying married too, with divorce rates beginning to plummet. In her wonderful recent article, Flowers, the bold Jessamine Lee juxtaposed the futile insanity of the postmodern age with the elegant joys of the traditional world. As I said in a comment on her words, “…it’s frequently never too late…” It’s not.

Our enemies are skilled at hitting us from all directions, finding vectors of harm for just about every type of person. In La Poudre Aux Yeux, the lovely Justine Reix noted the false fear instilled in many young Westerners of harming the planet by having children. Though ecology is important, this artificial trepidation is as wicked and ridiculous as following the lifestyle examples of pop stars. As I wrote in my review of her book, “Kids, that is not you; have no fear. Get out there, be happy, and have a bunch of children!” And don’t wait years to do it. I fully understand the financial gravity of our times. However, economically speaking, for the foreseeable future things will likely never be easier than they are right now. The savings and preparations of a year or two can be condensed into nine months.

For those looking for love, companionship, and happiness, remember that men and women are by design attracted to each other. In discerning that attraction, a simple heuristic might as well be: More Bible, less MTV. Noor bin Ladin recently answered the burning young man’s question about what decent young women desire. She said, “Oh that’s simple. Based women want a man who’s even more based than they are.” Young ladies, it’s kind of the same thing going in the other direction. All of you, just get out there. Meet each other, be kind to each other, fall in love, and make it happen. 

When you do make it happen, make it work, please be consistently defensive of your families. Protecting them from the insidious harm offered by the world may be more difficult in theory than in practice. Consider this Stonetoss cartoon as a serious yet humorous and simple example. And when the time comes, teach your children well. I again offer the Bluedorn’s Trivium book as the gold standard of Godly instruction. 

The rest of us must step up, step in, and help. If nothing else, we can stand guard as the young plant those trees the shade of which none of us will ever enjoy. Then again, there’s a heap of joy just in the planting. Kids, we love you and we need you.

First, a big thank-you to Perrin for giving me this opportunity to share with his readers. By way of introduction, I am a widow, an old home-school mama from the 1980s and 90s, and a grandmother of home-schooled children. My interests, though varied, begin with my own family and my own folk. 

Perrin has covered the topic well and I concur. Very simplistically put: Get married for life while young and have as many children as God chooses to give you. He tells us in His word:

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver FULL of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.  – Psalm 127:3-5

One of the many regrets of my long life is that my husband and I neither married young nor were of the mindset to have as many children as God chose. But God is amazingly merciful and long-suffering with His children and my life has still been filled abundantly with unmerited blessings. 

The devil and his minions have been very successful thus far with brainwashing our folk, one way of which is to deceive particularly the last four generations into limiting the size of their families for a variety of reasons…cost, time, energy (and don’t get me going on the insidious feminist movement that began way back), but remember…they are liars. Thrice-holy God, the Creator and Sustainer of this universe, does not give the gift of children without giving the means to raise them, and the “how” in His word to raise them. Determine to toss that most excellent brainwashing device…The Television…OUT. Give the children in your life OLD literature, well-illustrated, to read, and read to them cuddled around you as long as you can. Homeschool those children. Get out of large cities IF POSSIBLE. Grow your own food as much as possible. Jesus himself said, “…with God all things are possible.” 

Let me sum up by saying, “Marry young, live with less, let God choose the number of arrows you have, teach them at home, and may He be pleased to fill your quiver FULL.”

Sounder wisdom than almost anything I can write! One of my biggest life regrets runs along the same lines as Lynne’s. She also beats me with homeschooling experience over theory. Despite what we think or wish, we really cannot know what could have been. Nor can we change it now. If you, dear peer-age reader, suffer similar discomfort, if you wanted more children or even if you had none at all, then accept it, shelve it, and go forth doing all you can to help the younger people in your life, family, and community fill their quivers and live their rewards. All things are possible. We’re going to do this, and we’re going to have much joy in the doing. God bless!
