The charade in DC never stops, even as it endangers the entire world. Philip Giraldi on the (forgotten?) Iran attacks:

If the Iraqi investigation of the facts around the December attack on K-1 is reliable, the Donald Trump administration’s reckless actions in Iraq in late December and early January cannot be justified. Worse still, it would appear that the White House was looking for an excuse to attack and kill a senior Iranian official to send some kind of message, a provocation that could easily have resulted in a war that would benefit no one. To be sure, the Trump administration has lied about developments in the Middle East so many times that it can no longer be trusted. Unfortunately, demanding any accountability from the Trump team would require a Congress that is willing to shoulder its responsibility for truth in government backed up by a media that is willing to take on an administration that regularly punishes anyone or any entity that dares to challenge it. That is the unfortunate reality in America today.

Of course, an honest President, Congress, and press would only be demanded by an honest people. Honest people are a dying breed in a dying Empire.

Rockin’ in the Granite State: The New Hampshire Primary 2020

Just a quick update to keep things current as to election news – an update on my earlier column on Iowa (sans the music).

Vote free or die, they say in New Hampshire; and that they did. Trump cleaned up handily in the Republican race (yes, they had one of those), drawing out a hefty cadre even though it was patently obvious he would win. The real news was the Democratic primary.

As an aside, I assume the minor non-parties may have held some sort of contest – or will – but, as the good people have decided that they will only suffer bi-polar (ha!) political control, then the outliers are as worthy of consideration as what the Old Man on the Mountain thinks about his late nose. Boothead Guy, while entertaining, isn’t viable.

PCR linked to another telling story (or several, rather) out of Sweden, as the government and the people continue to bow down likes craven serfs. The quote:

“The timid civilized world has found nothing with which to address the revival of barefaced barbarity, other than concessions and smiles.” -Alexandr Solzenitsyn

The fact that some few of these women resist means there is still hope. Hope needs a weapon. I suggest a 12-gauge might make an appropriate address to the barbarians.

That odd instance when one agrees with Tim Kaine.

“We should not be at war with Iran unless Congress votes to authorize such a war,” Virginia Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine, who introduced the resolution said, according to CNN. “While the President does and must always have the ability to defend the United States from imminent attack, the executive power to initiate war stops there. An offensive war requires a congressional debate and vote. This should not be a controversial proposition.”

It should not, but it’s not all that relevant anymore. It’s the age of the Empire and the Empire is almost finished. I smell another veto. But, the vote was nice.

Fed Man tells Congress it’s their massive spending, not his, that’s the problem.

“A more sustainable federal budget could also support the economy’s growth over the long term.”

Much like NOT gifted tens of trillion$ to the banksters might help in the longer term. Pot, kettle.

Never adds up. After Iran dealt the Empire a crimpling pinpoint blow in Iraq, the initial lie was that there were no casualties. 0

Then it started creeping up, with brain injuries from the concussions being reported. That number now stands at 100. In DC, 0 = 100. The same government pushes math education, with similar results. Vote harder this November!

So many rats and so little intelligence. NH Democrats just can’t decide on who will lose to Trump in November.

“In the past couple months, I’ve made a decision, then changed my mind, then made a decision, then changed my mind,” she said. “So, honestly, it’s right down to the wire.”

That’s the gist of the whole article and debacle. I’m sure they’ll get it right. Democracy and so forth.

Maxed Out Credit Cards

During the best economy ever. What will happen when the bottom falls out? That, we already know.

To that point, more than 1 in 3 Americans — or 91 million people— said they’re afraid they’ll max out their credit card when making a large purchase, according to a new WalletHub credit cards survey. (Most of those polled considered a large purchase as anything over $100.)

“A healthy amount of fear is justified,” said Odysseas Papadimitriou, CEO of WalletHub. “Issues stemming from large purchases more often concern people making too many of them, for the wrong reasons.”

More than one-third, or 37%, also said they have already maxed out their credit card and 14% said they have maxed it out more than once. WalletHub polled more than 700 people in January.

Still, most Americans continue to take on ever-increasing amounts of debt. According to data from the Federal Reserve, the U.S. surpassed $1 trillion in credit card debt — the highest level since the Great Recession.

There’s a difference between being wary of something because it’s bad and being fearful of it, fear coming unnaturally and in defiance of man’s Spirit. Thus, it does go hand in hand with the satanic practices of sorcery and usury. Thus, the predation continues during what are allegedly good times. Your righteous Romans 13 government would cancel the debts and ban the evil. If you had one.

State of Emergency = One Mile of Wall

That’s all we have to show, o far, for all that chanting.

The White House budget document estimates the money would pay for approximately 1,000 miles.

Much of the construction would be slated for 2021 and beyond, presuming Mr. Trump wins a second term in office.

The administration has concentrated its construction efforts on federally owned land, where it faces the fewest legal hurdles. Across swaths of the border, particularly in Texas, the administration is meeting resistance from private landowners unwilling to forfeit their property so that new sections of wall can be built on it.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said that through the end of January it has erected 104 miles of new fencing, though only one of those miles covers a portion of the border where no barriers previously existed. The administration has said it hopes to have 450 miles built or under construction by the end of 2020.

One down, 1,999 to go! I suspect the whole thing will be completed by the time Hillary is checking into the NY MCC.

China, Fred Reed, United States

Fred Reed breaks down the differences between the US Empire and the stable, growing, and the proud and coherent nation of China.

In a democracy the rabble, sensing their numerical advantage, will always try to pull their superiors down. They will not make an effort, probably futile, to rise. A central strain in American culture is hostility to elitism, which means a preference for the better to the worse. The deep resentment of the superior leads to a celebration of inadequacy seen in affirmative action, the abolition of standardized tests and advanced placement courses for the bright, and the lowering of academic standards. We call this “inclusiveness.”

I suspect the Chinese call it “lunacy.” China finds its very brightest young and sends them to the best schools in China or the US. The notion that virtue requires that a country suffer mildly retarded brain surgeons or barely numerate physicists is peculiarly American.

Elections, inevitable in democracies, are a terrible idea. An election is a competitive shooing of fools in directions profitable to those doing the shooing. Democracy is thus a mechanism for the promotion of rogues and rascals. It works. America now has a most wonderfully ineffectual and embarrassing government.

The holding of elections–these being combinations of raffles, vaudeville, and popularity contests–every two, four, or six years ensures that the beneficiaries will concentrate their thoughts more on shooing than doing.

Mr. Reed must not be aware of the stellar events of say, Iowa, last week.
