The world’s Wonder Woman and patron celebrity of this humble web log, Gal Gadot, and her husband Jaron Varsano welcomed baby girl number three today! Congratulations to the whole gang!
It’s events like this that allow me to turn off the curmudgeon (temporarily).
*The following was submitted Sunday afternoon to TPC, where I understand it will be published today sometime. It is a tad simplistic. I thought to round it out, here, though I have now decided to draft up something else for the week. The following is a mere fanciful theory. I removed a few parts, irrelevant to this audience.
Hello, Piedmont! There are so many national affairs-worthy stories out there. However, I am sometimes unable to report on them here. All things considered, I suppose that’s really just as well. Maybe today’s message will stick.
Yours truly is lodged somewhere in West’s database of international media professionals. My profile is ridiculously inaccurate and there appears to be no updating it. Still, the masters of the MSM claim I just luv❤ to cover the old A&E “beat.” Odd, no? I do have a certain affection for a certain ultra-hot, super-smart, bold-as-all-heck, sweet-as-molasses A-list Hollywood actress from Israel. I also have this thing for geopolitical theory and post-modern warfare. So, I thought to cobble together what follows. It’s a little “what if” theory, sure to please.
In my last column on these digital pages – the last one that made it – I raved about Gal Gadot’s short-form documentary series, IMPACT. Specifically, I praised Episode Five, Killer Red Fox (which, again, has nothing to do with Fred Sanford). I linked to the show as presented on gorgeous Gal’s official YouTube channel. Now, as of drafting Sunday, it and the whole series are gone.
I have no idea what this alleged copyright thing with Fox is. I cannot recall any included material that came from a Fox camera, but who knows? Maybe it will blow over by press time. I do know that the same video is, as of drafting Sunday, available from National Geographic’s YT channel.
It is a little strange that Fox would go after GG and her boutique Pilot Wave Productions with whatever its claims are while leaving NG (Disney) alone. And Fox just unilaterally blocks material on YouTube? If one knows how Susan Wojcicki and YT operate, then one understands selective censorship. Trust me. I know it well. If this is a legitimate source issue, then that kind of thing is easily cured. Again, the question is about a corporate giant going after a sweetheart and not another corporate giant.
Back to the larger issues, some of you may remember my column from May about how great GG is and how her innocent Tweet started a fake social media war. Right? Goldfish do remember the previous lap, right?
As I noted then, I immediately sensed something nefarious behind the vicious attacks on our Wonder Woman. Immediately. I mentioned some obvious signs of SJW attack, 5GW, a book people won’t read, and the existence of various wars most wouldn’t understand or even acknowledge. About a week later, I was backed up by some Israeli publications, the engineers at Twitter, and a consulting company in France.
I don’t expect the average person to understand what Gal’s sweet message was about. I don’t expect people to understand anything about the latest Likud-Hamas row. I don’t expect them to understand what happened in Israel this weekend. They generally know nothing of politics in Israel (or anywhere else). They couldn’t find Israel on a map of the Middle East if the area between the Jordan and the Med was highlighted in bright orange with a huge “X” on it. They don’t understand the religious-cultural differences between someone like Gal and someone like Susan. The most likely explanation, outside a real copyright issue, for the Fox block on Gal alone, would be lost on them. It plausibly involves a weak, after the fact, passive-aggressive revenge attempt for some of the foregoing things they don’t or can’t fathom.
Yet and still … big things may have just happened. It is entirely possible that Gal Gadot, intentionally or (most likely) unwittingly, ran necessary interference so as to end a war, institute a new government, and provision a nation for the post-USA era. Let me keep this Facebook simple: The girl may have literally saved the day. A real superhero. Time will tell, but for now, I’m going to give her all the credit. She deserves it, even if my theory isn’t exactly right.*
*I’m fully open to the idea that the IMPACT issue was just a silly editing oversight at a young production company. Gal still rocks!
**This column anticipates the arrival of another well-announced-in-advance TPC fishing break!
That Unrestricted Warfare thing is real, read the book or not. Last week, without having to look too deeply into the matter, I spotted the patterns deployed against (or through) the incredible Gal Gadot [now the official favorite celebrity of this Highly Respected Web Log (where’s my “heart” emoji, WP????)].
Many Gadot-bashers are, I deduce, robots and paid shills. There’s just too much homogeneity and synchronization across many of the comments on multiple platforms. That made me realize something; this isn’t really about Gaza and it’s certainly not about Gal Gadot. It has the signature of the Unrestricted Warfare described by PLA Cols. Liang and Xiangsui in 1999. There are multiple fifth-generation conflicts being waged around the world by multiple parties for multiple reasons. Some of them concern Israel, the Arab-Muslim Middle East, and the United States. Who and why? I have no definitive idea. However, a popular movie star provides an attractive vehicle for spreading the overwhelming chatter. Strange things do happen – more frequently than one imagines.
Now, belatedly, and without a word of praise for our Wonder Gal, the Times, with help from “experts” and the Twitz, reluctantly admits the same (in general and as concerning Israel).
But while support for Palestinians on streets worldwide may have been real, Israeli researchers attempting to pierce the fog of war surrounding the conflict have raised doubts regarding how much of the supposed social media war was truly authentic. Experts say that we often don’t know why we’re exposed to a particular piece of content online, whether as a byproduct of an algorithm seeking to shock and outrage us or by bad actors hoping to do the same.
“The social media networks made it very easy for anyone to tweak the system,” said Elad Ratson, a former Israeli diplomat who now runs Vayehee, a Paris-based company that uses technology to counter misinformation online.
More frequently than one imagines. Another reason to come here first.
Yeah, so, wow. I just read about the big payoff for your stellar real estate investing skills in Newton. Congratulations! Hey – asking for a friend here – how does one double the value of a property in only one year?! “JK,” “dawgs.”
Though I’m immune, I certainly feel your pain. I’d love to help so, back in April, I explained how this came to pass. Need a refresher? Since I don’t feel like rerunning the statistics again and because I, too, love good euphemistic humor, yes. Yes, this is all about “Republicans” and “Democrats.” When? I think someone asked that. When? Over the last thirty years, with a terminal collapse this past decade. That’s when. Newton was 77% Republican in 1990, 55% Republican in 2000, 53% in 2010, and it is perhaps only 40% Republican today. The Democrats now being firmly in control are doing what Democrats do.
What do you do now? Someone mentioned running to somewhere with more Republicans and fewer Democrats. That might work for a day or a season, but in the words of the great Democrat visionary, Idi Amin, “you cannot run faster than a bullet.” Don’t run. Stay and enjoy the party! At this rate, you should see those cool flying pyramids anytime now. As for the taxes, here are some totally-not-satirical suggestions:
Don thy bowtie. Apologize for something – anything. Say “Muh Republic” five times or 5,000 times. Hand out copies of the Holy Constitution (or reserve in case of another toilet paper shortage). Sing “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood … just maybe omit “God” so as not to offend anyone (including God). (Heck, just use the Boomer/Beatles lyrics to be really safe). And, don’t forget the big one – VOOOOTE.
In all seriousness, you’re in a pickle. I have some legitimate advice suited to this advanced stage. You’ve tipped into the territory where the solutions have more to do with chemistry and physics than law and politics. Honestly, we’re better confining those recommendations to fiction. You’ll know it if you see it. Or not. For the here and now, MB has done an outstanding job rallying the remnant against this dreadful if totally predictable curse. Appeal! Prepare to sue! Jam it up, baby! Lawsuits do, at times, still work.
Beating the BS out of Anti-BDS
Last February, on these very digital pages, I described Abby Martin’s lawsuit against Israel, er, Georgia as “Iron-clad.” It was. A few days ago, a federal judge actually did his job and struck down Georgia’s illegal BDS law. “Judge Mark Cohen wrote in his ruling that Georgia’s law ‘prohibits inherently expressive conduct protected by the First Amendment.’” This does explain the wailing. It’s not the cicadas. It’s John Hagee.
All of these laws, nationwide, are illegal; heretofore, they’ve all been declared illegal. So, there’s your legal victory! There is still a modicum of hope. And, it leads me to…
Reason Number Eight to Love Gal Gadot!
Yeah, you knew I was itching to further indulge my celebrity crush, to dote on the Gadot. As I noted last week, she’s a walking, talking billboard for Israel and she’s Jewish to her beautiful core. Yet, she appears to have no desire to write or control American legal policy. Why would she? Again, she’s the real deal. Unlike those of the power-mad, latter-day Pharisaical variety who suggest anti-civilizational constraints on the West, and their useless idiots like Brian “Muh Big Truck” Kemp, Gadot seeks to please, help, and heal in whatever she does.
Here, I realize a few things about the audience. There is a persistent refusal to acknowledge the difference between the nation and the state, as evidenced by the current Newtonian Republican-Democrat misunderstanding. I know it’s the same regarding a widely-divergent religion, an ancient theocracy that ended 2,000 years ago, a modern secular country, and the relationships between religious people in that modern country with others of titular similitude within and without that country. I know the average Amerikan couldn’t find Israel on a map of the Middle East if one unrolled it in front of him and tapped incessantly on the strip of land between Egypt and Lebanon. Most can’t tell an Ashkenazi from a Cochin from a Karaite in the ground.
To keep this simple, at a Farcebook-TeeVee level: Gal Gadot is a REAL Jew, a Child of God, a member of the Elect, etc. The ones who show up, demand you bless them, and then curse you and rewrite your laws to your detriment are FAKES. People who express unwavering support for the fakes are called idiots or, also, Republicans (the literal political kind, not the genteel substitute European kind).
Gorgeous Gadot is not a Jezebel. She’s not even a Rebecca; I can’t find any guile or deception in her – and I, ashamedly, looked. Based on the way some of the fakes recently attacked her like a leper (and the fact that few or none of them supported her), she could be a Miriam. Sarah! She’s full of beauty, kindness, and hospitality! People love her for it.
I’m happy to report that the bots, trolls, and lowlifes of the social media world are exhausting themselves. The press is still useless.* But the real people, her loyal, decent fans, the ones she allegedly angered or whatever, have retaken the commentary. They’re not mad and they never were – not with her, and there are something like a million more of them than there were two weeks ago. BTW, watch Episode Five of GG’s IMPACT! At drafting time, I hadn’t noticed any new personal messages from the lovely lady. However, her Yaron (I really like that guy) has restarted the feel-good posts. Keep doing what you’re doing, kids. You’re great.
Well, friends around the world, that’s a wrap. Piedmonteers, hang in there. Remember, for further equalization purposes, limit the powdered aluminum to 18% of the total recipe. While cooking, it’s highly thermogenic, so keep the area well ventilated.
*On or about Monday, your humble author was inducted into the credentialed ranks of the international press corps. Bets on how long before they regret that?
And, buddy, it’s a heck of a great one. No Gal Gadot whatsoever in this Gadot-centered piece of suburban Georgian property taxes and gorgeous Israeli actresses. Practical political stupidity and demographic short-sightedness invariably lead to GG. It’s only a third Wonder Woman, I swear. Not an ounce of celebrity crush in it. Pound maybe…
You’ll know it when you read it tomorrow afternoon.
*An encore of the weekly column – now also running … at TPC!
Gal Gadot: Good, True, and Beautiful
If the old canard is true, that the sultry Jewess is deployed to beguile the Goyim, then Gal Gadot is Judaism’s ultimate weapon. I don’t think the ancient rumor is necessarily correct, but if it is, then in this case I’m okay with it. Heck, I like it. The ranting, raving, sub-literate mental cases of the social media world do not. Wonder Woman triggered the depraved, the wicked, and the stupid. With this:
Gal Gadot, Twitter/Instagram.
Pray for peace, incur the wrath. You likely know what the socials and the gekaufte journalisten say. Gadot’s simple, heartfelt, easy-to-read, and easy-to-understand message of peace was met by a fusillade of vitriol from the darkest depths of the underworld. For the sake of positive redirect, I’ve decided to reframe the attacks in terms of reasons why every sane, decent person should love Gal Gadot. First, I’d like to get a few things out of the way.
They say they want to “cancel” Mrs. Gadot and have everyone “unfollow” her. They failed. She’s Gal Gadot. She’s not getting canceled. She’s only gained followers since last week. Regardless of extremely poor media coverage, there is no backlash from her fans. They love her. Period.
The fools mocked about “ratio-ing” her after she blocked moronic comments on her sweet note. (The devil’s tools then shifted their focus to older, unrelated posts). Ratio-ing means they wanted to drive the number of Retweets (against her) above the simple “Likes” in her favor. A ratio, and I don’t expect the average hater to understand this, is a mathematical concept. Using the numbers in the above capture, from May 16, 2021, we see that the total aggregate of Retweets and Tweet Quotes is 138,500. Assuming that all of them are negative – and they’re not – then they are still outnumbered by the 145,000 Likes. Her message has over one million Likes on Instagram. People love her. People stand with her.
The relative few who don’t like her, sad cases, for the most part, call her a variety of names like Zionist, Nazi, murderer, baby-killer, Hasbara agent, oppressor, and, yes, racist. She’s a high-value celebrity, so she catches it from all sides. Israeli/Jewish loons and hardcore pan-Zionists say she betrayed her nation and people by staying neutral or by currying favor with the Gentiles and Arabs. Mean people say a lot of things. Too Jewish or not Jewish enough.
A few detractors may sincerely have valid points. Leaving a legitimate plea about the war on one of Gadot’s National Geographic IMPACT episodes might be misplaced, but it is somewhat understandable. I suspect she is sympathetic to all licit parties.
There is the legion of jackasses who just want to abuse her, her family, and anyone/thing she might care about. These sorts were leaving idiotic, derogatory remarks long before any of the recent events commenced. Some admit they hated her from day one. Last week just gave them an excuse to really crank up their pitiful garbage.
Has there been any effect on our beloved actress? In the long run, she’ll be just fine. As more than a few tabloids report, she’s gone Romeo Siera on the social front. She did an interview with National Geographic though it may have been recorded earlier. The world press has been as useless as ever. I briefly searched Israel outlets for information. All I found was a rehashing of generic wire nonsense at the Times and JPost. They are, as might be expected, preoccupied at the moment.
We’ve learned another great thing about Gal Gadot! She is not a Republican. She may be quiet but she’s not backing down or apologizing. Bots and shills aside, she’s dealing with SJWs. All they do is lie, double down on the lies, and use the lies to project what’s really wrong with them. It’s their sad burden to bear. Let them. Gadot was in the IDF and she works in Hollywood. She has thick skin. Still, at some level, the unjustified acidity hurled at her has to burn. It’s problematic trying to help soothe a terrible situation not of one’s making only to be stabbed in the back for the trouble. Something tells me she will gather whatever pain she feels and channel it into something else bigger, better, and more productive.
She’s a sweetie, they have an agenda. She’s pretty, they’re jealous. She’s successful, they’re ignorant. She’s good, they are wicked. To celebrate her and to contrast her with them, here are my seven reasons Gal Gadot is the best export Israel ever sent to the unworthy world.
One. She’s Jewish.
Proudly, openly, and from what I gather from fast yet reliable research, faithfully. In terms of non-ethnic affiliation, my guess would be Reform, but I’m not in the know. Were she a Christian, she’d strike me as a Methodist. The plain fact is that the SJWs and other evil-doers hate God and Gal Gadot is His good servant. אלוהים יברך אותך, אישה מתוקה.
Two. She’s Israeli.
Proudly, openly, and defiantly. Whether she considers herself one, she is a nationalist to one degree or another. Per her very plain words, she’s concerned for everyone – through the lens of her people first. Israel is her nation! This bold, kind defense is right, being in accordance with the actions, instructions, and predictions of the Almighty.
Three. She’s Family-Oriented.
Based on my research, she’s a mother of two with one on the way. (Congratulations!) She’s been married to the same man for over a decade – in Hollywood. Loyal fans joke that he, Jaron Varsano, is the luckiest man alive. He might be though his fortune is only one-half of the happy equation. She’s also lucky if that’s the right word. She’s a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, relative, and friend. Some of the trolls have stooped so low as to wish her children harm, which really tells one everything about the trolls. Gadot obviously loves children and not just her own. I saw some videos of her posing with fans at conventions. While she was kind to everyone, from the way she treats the kids, one would think she was the one there to see them. One will also note from these interactions the mother in her: effortless, natural positioning of children for photos; hugging, picking up, and cooing over toddlers; and straightening clothes without looking.
This is a Zionist Nazi Oppressor?
She went to a children’s hospital in the full, theatrical Wonder Woman costume and visited with the kids and their families until, as it sounds, they got tired of her. CDAN, which has nothing negative to report about Gadot (that says something), praised her kindness towards the young even when they interrupted her at restaurants. Again, from the encounters, it’s more like she’s the children’s fan than the other way around.
Four. She’s Painfully Beautiful.
This one goes without saying – yet it’s perfectly fitting. We speak of the good and the true. Sometimes beauty is literal. There’s a reason why the wicked hate beautiful things and people.
Five. That Accent.
The sound matches the sight. Listen to anything she’s ever said.
Six. She’s a Legitimately Gifted Actress.
Her most famous role is performing as a comic book character. Yet she does something beyond bringing a fanciful fictitious persona to life. There are, in the films I’ve seen, numerous scenes with necessary cliche dialogue. Wonder Gal still makes them work, makes them believable. One doesn’t see Gal Gadot acting, one sees the character. It’s enough to almost suspend my near-impenetrable disbelief.
I have no idea whether she had formal training, or if she’s a natural, or both. She has a gift. I watched a few of her home videos, social media shorts, and interviews and she just has a way of melding speech, movement, intensity, and keen intellect into something instantly convincing and marvelous. Whatever it is, it works. She does too. The hours and effort involved in her business are insane. Before the Twitter storm, she was criticized for being, surprise, surprise, a rich elitist living in a magic castle in the clouds. If so, then she earned it. Be inspired, not jealous. Be thankful.
Seven. She Uses Her Celebrity for the Greater Good.
She doesn’t have to and still, she does. With scores of millions of fans worldwide, she has the platform to make a difference. Her missive last week was an attempt along those lines in addition to her knowledgeable opinion about something very close to home. Using her very intimate remarks, she tried to help everyone. The dull scorn of an angry world notwithstanding, she did.
She does that frequently and intentionally. For anyone unsatisfied with her substantial philanthropic work, I ask, “What have you done?” We all know the answer.
Gadot knows people listen to her. They listen because she’s a wonderful woman and because there is a greater Power in and behind her. Ironically, all the baseless attacks of late only reinforce that truth. Proof of evil often leads to proof of goodness and, ultimately, of God. The wicked attack the good and the just because they are good and just. Gal Gadot was given her talents for a reason. Her use of them for our benefit is a miracle. Good, True, and Beautiful.
If the old canard is true, that the sultry Jewess is deployed to beguile the Goyim, then Gal Gadot is Judaism’s ultimate weapon. I don’t think the ancient rumor is necessarily correct, but if it is, then in this case I’m okay with it. Heck, I like it.
