The Mustard Seed: Instructions for the Resistance

I wrote another column on the gamboling fun of organized sports entertainment in 2020. In short: it’s not happening, or not happening much, sorry. Be your own sport. Buck the trends and get in shape. There. I may have more on that later. For now, consider the following, which I deemed of greater value:

Perplexed as always, the Disciples asked Jesus to explain what caused their failure in doing that which He did with ease. “He answered, ‘Because you have so little faith. In truth I tell you, if your faith is the size of a mustard seed you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you.‘” Matthew 17:20.

We, all of us, could use a little more faith these days.

One thing leads to another. I was reading a Mary Cuff article at Crisis the other day and, in a very rare move, I clicked on a pop-up ad. And I’m glad I did because it led me to a video presentation by Church Militant featuring Father Paul Kalchik.

Kalchik is almost a household name in right-wing, traditional, American Catholic households. We, some of us, have followed his titanic battle against the forces of the sodomitical wolves currently at work against both the Church and the Flock. Because of HOAXID-19, it was, of course, a virtual teleconference. Because of his amazing victory, and subsequent lavender mafia retaliation, Kalchik joined the show from a place of hiding. However, there is no hiding the magnitude of his inspirational message.

Part of the missive, which amounts to an hour-long homily of peace, was the above-cited parable about the mustard seed of faith. My thoughts of late, regarding the state of the world and especially the terminal decline of the American nation and the United States, have led me to consider that our main problem is the woeful character of the people. I summed it up to myself as people being both wicked and stupid. One is bad enough on its own; together they are a dreadful combination as one amplifies the other. We see the results all around us: a people, barely surviving, who almost gleefully play the fool’s part in accepting hoaxes, lies, degradations, and disaster, all wrought by the same usual suspects who have lied to, robbed, and murdered humanity for centuries.

Father Kalchik sees all of this too. He takes a calmer, more reflective approach to it than some (not looking at your author, no…). He names the problem and those behind it. Call them globalists, globopedos, the illuminati, fear-mongers, or whatever you will, they are only the dark one and his loathsome servants. It really is that simple. And, Father K. offers a surprisingly simple solution for us: Faith and Prayer. Well, those simplicities along with a healthy dose of RESISTANCE, which is the title of CM’s conference.

He gives concrete steps anyone can take to fight the forces of hell. It’s all bound by faith in Jesus Christ. It takes strength through prayer. And it moves through calm questioning, learning, and action.

Due to his own circumstances, he’s understandably taken with the technology of encryption. I do wonder about his suggested “digital catacombs.” Have we come that far, or retreated that far? Perhaps. You be the judge once you’ve seen or heard the message in full.

Along the way, in the presentation, Father tells some of his own backstories. He adds a great quote from the late Archbishop Fulton Sheen about not going with the flow: “dead bodies float downstream.” He also discounts just a select few of the more recent hoaxes set into motion by the luciferians, including:

The general uselessness of the tacky popular culture;

Y2K (I’d forgotten about that!);

Global Warming;

Climate Change;

White Guilt;

LGBT+P; and

Corona hype and hysteria.

Again, he only chose a few and only those from the more recent decades of memory. In every case, all cases, it is the same evil at work.

His ultimate point is that, eternally, evil cannot win. Without our consent and participation, it really can do little more than annoy us who are in the world but not of it. Still, a certain Carpenter told us to take care of business until He returns. We have a solemn obligation to resist. That’s where so many of us – at times, all of us – fail. Fortunately, inspirationally, the fix is as small as the mustard seed. It’s high time to move some mountains.

Please take an hour out of your busy, locked-down, masked lives and watch the following (or, as I did, listen to it while doing something else):

Fr. Kalchik, CM, June 2020.

Furthermore, kindly pray for Fr. Kalchik. For a brief explanation of why he’s “on the run,” please read THIS and THIS. In summary, he took a page from the Lord and Saint Paul and mortally angered the sodomite usurpers by burning one of their sacrilegious artifacts. In a (perhaps distantly) forthcoming novel, I have a heroic character based on Kalchik. In a literal world that frequently out-shocks the most dystopian fiction, it’s good that we have real characters, real heroes, like him.

Now, all, please acquire the seeds, and move those mountains.

The same Catholic Church that closed the doors on the Faithful and spoke of “Spiritual Communion” also claimed $1.4 Billion in hoax-out funds – much of it to pay for the sodomy hobbies of the fake priests.

The U.S. Roman Catholic Church used a special and unprecedented exemption from federal rules to amass at least $1.4 billion in taxpayer-backed coronavirus aid, with many millions going to dioceses that have paid huge settlements or sought bankruptcy protection because of clergy sexual abuse cover-ups.

The church’s haul may have reached — or even exceeded — $3.5 billion, making a global religious institution with more than a billion followers among the biggest winners in the U.S. government’s pandemic relief efforts, an Associated Press analysis of federal data released this week found.

1.4. 3.5. With hoax accounting, who nows? This actually fits rather well with my rebuttal idea of spiritual tithing. No word, as of yet, from Pope Benedict.

It’s like spiritual Communion, but instead of us not physically receiving the Eucharist, they don’t physically receive the money. What’s all this worry about?

Like most churches around the United States, St. Anselm’s will be closed on Sunday, its members unable to gather and its priests unable to meet with them as the nation endures its worst public-health crisis in a century.

But just as American churches have been unable to meet their members’ spiritual needs — perhaps most painfully represented in the absence of public funerals for the thousands who have died — they also have faced their own unmet needs in the form of untouched collection baskets.

“We are in uncharted waters, financially,” said John Quaglione, a St. Anselm’s parishioner who is also a spokesman for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn. “There will be some serious conversations and some strong conversations with the parishes and the economic folks to help get us through this.”

Yeah, those “economic folks” will help alright – not that any help is needed. This is quid pro quo from the Holy Spirit. Far from being a reduction, spiritual tithing allows any Faithful to increase the gift. For example, there’s no difference between a spiritual tithe and a spiritual vicesima. Just remember: literal money cannot pass through closed and locked doors.

And where is Pope Benedict?!

A Muddled Non-Ideology

America, Catholic Church, conservatives

Charles Coulombe does a great job of defining the indefinable.

The point in this ancient and obscure history is that even with the best will in the world (and extremely educated people), “Conservatism” in America has always been well-nigh impossible to define, much less organize. Attempts to do so have rarely succeeded in the long run. After World War II, Russel Kirk attempted to do so with considerably more success than Collins (reflecting his own far greater depth and intellect). But this mixture, too, was unsteady; reaching its apogee with the election of Reagan, it blew apart afterwards with the fall of communism and had little effect in stopping the decay of American society.

A major part of the problem is that America herself lacks definition. Speakers on all sides of political spectrum will say such things as “America is more an idea than a country.” But that idea is sufficiently tenuous for players as diverse as the German American Bund and the Abraham Lincoln Brigade to wrap themselves in it. In this writer’s opinion, what is needed is, first, a love of the country as it actually is, historical warts and all: its diverse peoples and customs and its real contributions to humanity—from cocktails to the Great American Songbook and the polio vaccine.

For the Catholic, however, this is only the beginning. At heart, the woes of these United States are not political but cultural—that is to say, religious. The best thing we can do about them is not to argue about whether Hamilton or Jefferson was “more American” but to strive our hardest to evangelize this country. A Catholic America would be truly something worth conserving.

Funny, but the definitions of “American” and “America” were crystal clear in the early days of the Old Republic. What slipped? I suppose it was yet another of the endless failings of these conservatives to conserve anything, even their own identity. It’s no wonder that they couldn’t conserve handshaking and toilet paper. A better goal would be the rebuilding of a Catholic or other Christian America. The way to do that is, after the dust settles on the current hoax, to reinstitute the traditional. One tradition we do not need is that of the non-ideology of conservatism. Take the bow ties and settle over in New Amerika or somewhere.

It’s a little different this year. So, as you do not attend church because of the Corona Hoax, you can at least thank the beautiful Ann Barnhardt for reminding us of the time (I had never known about this) when the French Faithful knocked down a wall to break into their church.

The French are a bunch of weak surrender-monkeys, right? Tough old ‘Muricans have freedom fries!

Catholic Church, Coronavirus, false flag, hoax

Churches worldwide are closing the doors out of disrespect to God and People unnatural fear of the Corona cold bug. A Catholic Priest notes the irony of the orders.

The churches remain open for the faithful to pray in, but it is not clear why worship—specifically the celebration of the Mass—is forbidden if celebrated prudently: prior to the decree, people were asked to sit in the pews at least three feet from each other. The irony, if not the contradiction, is that Masses can be celebrated behind closed doors in churches, monasteries, and convents, but the faithful cannot attend; if they ask to receive Holy Communion, however, they cannot be denied. If that is the case, why not celebrate Mass? Perhaps it is because the decision-makers do not share the understanding of the particular purpose of the Mass. As the ancient martyrs used to say, Sine Dominica non possumus. Without Sunday—that is, the Eucharist—we cannot live.

I’m an American priest incardinated in the Archdiocese of Florence. I can attest that this has taken the very life out of the faithful, to say nothing of the discouragement felt by many of us priests. Masses have never been suspended in the history of the Italian Peninsula—yet another first we may rather not have lived to see.

The Law is clear: the Faithful MUST be allowed Holy Communion. And as I noted earlier, if we truly believe, then why not put all faith in Jesus – to subdue the virus and all. Instead, Churches of all stripes, and I suppose a few Synagogues and Mosques are directing worshippers to go online and stare at Farcebook or Tiptap or something – to eschew Church and tune into an Orwellian spy site run by the enemy. I was starting to suspect I thought that COVID was (YET ANOTHER!) hoax or a false flag. Now, it’s looking more like a plot.

With these churches.

At St. Charles Borromeo Church in Bensenville, there is a message on the door reading: “Due to the ongoing flu season, no chalice will be offered for the foreseeable future. In addition, the optional sign of peace will be omitted at all masses. After making this decision, Bishop (Richard) Pates has requested the same for all parties in the diocese.”

Thus, during Lent, nobody will be drinking communion wine, nor shaking hands during the sign of peace.

Is this a health issue, or is it a faith issue. Surely the direct, physical presence of Jesus Christ counteracts a virus. I am not aware of anyone in history who has ever contracted an illness by taking Holy Communion. The opposite, in fact.

Catholic Church, Christianity, decline, Pope, The West

This Pope… I’m just not sure what to make of the following other than that there is a deep, deep problem with both the Church and with the society.

The Catholic Church must adopt new approaches to evangelization in a post-Christian West, Pope Francis said in a Christmas message to Vatican officials.

“We need other maps, other paradigms that might help us change our ways of thinking. We are not in Christianity, not anymore!” the pope said Saturday.

“We are no longer under a Christian regime because the faith—especially in Europe, but also in much of the West—no longer constitutes an obvious premise of common life. On the contrary, it is even often denied, derided, marginalized and ridiculed,” the pope said.

The pope’s remarks echoed those of his predecessors St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, who spoke of a “new evangelization” to revive the faith in historically Christian lands. Pope Benedict established an office explicitly dedicated to the task.

Those popes stressed a need to clarify and reaffirm traditional teachings in response to liberalizing tendencies within the church and wider society. By contrast, Pope Francis has tended to play down such teachings and focus on social causes such as economic equality, the rights of migrants and efforts to counteract global warming.

He’s certainly correct that the Christian institutions have failed miserably in the face of savage modernity. But, playing the world’s game of refugees, climate, etc. would appear to be the opposite of reinforcing tradition. And, it is the traditions that can potentially reverse the slide. So many people have departed the churches, Catholic and Protestant, precisely because those churches have given up on the Gospel in favor of preaching worldly theology. To be clear: without Christianity, there is no Western Civilization. The effects of the slide and transition couldn’t be any clearer.

Sayeth the Pope:

“Rigidity arises from fear of change and ends up strewing the ground of the common good with stakes and obstacles, turning it into a minefield of lack of communication and hatred. Let’s remember always that behind every rigidity lies some derangement,” he said.

?

Might there be some derangement behind and afore those feared changes? With, say refugees and the new Tower of Babel, how can there be proper communication? A new language study just reaffirmed the Biblical account of what happens when they ignore God’s nationalism and ram together everyone under the Sun (and not necessarily under The SON). Rigidity may be what holds back the minefield, or be what held it at bay for so long – until the changes of the insane world swept the West. The same might placate the hatred (a double given per the Father and the Son). And, what’s the opposite of rigidity? Squishy Christianity? What’s the use?

This conversation might have been better timed during Vatican II or even Vat. I. Well, at least it’s been broached now. Happy Sunday.

Bergoglio Sends Money to Help Settle ‘Migrants’ in Mexico

Yeah. We all know the gooooooooooal is to get them into the USE as fast as possible. Hopefully, these funds will help them adjust to MEX.

Pope Francis [SIC] has donated 500,000 dollars to assist migrants in Mexico. The funds, from the Peter’s Pence collections, will be distributed among 27 projects promoted by sixteen Mexican dioceses and religious congregations, which requested assistance in continuing to provide food, lodging, and basic necessities to the migrants.

US border closed
According to a statement from Peter’s Pence, “In recent months, thousands of migrants have arrived in Mexico, having travelled more than 4,000 kilometres on foot and with makeshift vehicles from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Men and women, often with young children, flee poverty and violence, hoping for a better future in the United States. However, the US border remains closed to them.”

Diminished aid and media coverage
In particular, the aid is intended to assist the more than 75,000 people who arrived in Mexico in 2018, in six migrant caravans. “All these people were stranded, unable to enter the United States, without a home or livelihood”, the statement reads. “The Catholic Church hosts thousands of them in hotels within the dioceses or religious congregations, providing basic necessities, from housing to clothing”.

Although a great deal of attention was focused on the caravans at the time, the Peter’s Pence statement notes that “media coverage of this emergency has been decreasing, and as a result, aid to migrants by the government and private individuals has also decreased”.

Senor Fred Reed says MEX is the place to be stranded so there’s hope these folks will find happiness there. I must say $6.66 apiece (rounded down), while a number many might associate with Bergoglio, seems a little low for clothing and housing. Or, it might help them go back. Dunno.

I wonder what Pope Benedict XVI is doing today. Hope he’s well.
