I’m not sure how much money it will raise, but Mr. Trump vows new tariffs on all things MEX:

In a surprise announcement that could derail a major trade deal, President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he is slapping a 5% tariff on all Mexican imports, effective June 10, to pressure the country to do more to crack down on the surge of Central American migrants trying to cross the U.S. border.

He said the percentage will gradually increase — up to 25% — “until the Illegal Immigration problem is remedied.”

Was this a January 2017 oversight item? Anyway, better late than never.

Disney Out of Georgia Too?

We can only hope so. Following Netflix, the Mouse isn’t too happy about kids living in the Peach State.

Bob Iger said it would be “very difficult” for Disney to keep filming in Georgia if the state enacts a new abortion law.

In an interview with Reuters, the CEO of the Walt Disney Co. said he had doubts the company would continue production in Georgia if the controversial ban on abortion in the state comes into effect, primarily as the company’s employees would be against it.

“I think many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard. Right now we are watching it very carefully,” Iger told Reuters.

The exec added that if the law does come into effect, he didn’t “see how it’s practical for us to continue to shoot there.”

Disney’s prospective withdrawal from production in Georgia would be a huge blow to the state. Recently, Disney’s Marvel Studios filmed portions of both Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame in Georgia.

Again, I fail to see a downside to this. People should be boycotting the Rat on their own. What would Walt say? We know Vox Day’s thoughts:

All Iger’s stupid threat makes me think is that abortion opponents should go after Florida next. Let’s see if Disney is converged enough to shut down Disney World.

Now, that would be real SJW-ing. Do it, Iger!

The freaks and degenerates at Netflix contemplate abandoning their tax breaks in Georgia.

The only company to respond to Variety’s inquiries was Netflix. “We have many women working on productions in Georgia, whose rights, along with millions of others, will be severely restricted by this law,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, said in an exclusive statement. “It’s why we will work with the ACLU and others to fight it in court. Given the legislation has not yet been implemented, we’ll continue to film there, while also supporting partners and artists who choose not to. Should it ever come into effect, we’d rethink our entire investment in Georgia.” CBS referred Variety to comments made by its entertainment president Kelly Kahl, who said at the network’s recent upfront presentation that he would monitor the bill’s progress toward becoming law.

Governor Kemp, don’t wait. Strike them first. Halt the tax breaks. Then, make it a felony for any entertainment production or distribution company, that engages in or supports child molestation, to operate (filming, streaming, existing in, etc.) in Georgia. Netflix would be banned.  (Yes, they are probably subject to existing law; the DOJ will surely turn a blind eye, Georgia need not).

EU, Europe, nationalism, The West

Europe begins to save itself from the globalist hordes.

Parties committed to closer European Union integration began bargaining over jobs and policy on Monday after an election to the EU parliament which fragmented the center but gave only limited gains to nationalists.

National leaders of the bloc, many of whom hailed the vote as a vindication, will meet to chart the next steps on Tuesday.

Matteo Salvini, Italian deputy prime minister, leader of the anti-immigration League and potential builder of a far-right alliance across Europe, said his 34% of the Italian national vote was a mandate to rip up euro zone budget austerity rules.

Nigel! Nigel! Nigel! Baby steps, baby steps before the sprint.

As inspirational as this is, remember that Amerika is much, much farther gone. Still, hope abounds.

Vox Day and Bernie Sanders agree on this:

Democrats take on the neocons

The Republicans and the Trump administration would be very well-advised to do the same:

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders took a swipe at neoconservative Bill Kristol for his “foolish advocacy of the Iraq war,” and questioned whether he had apologized to the country for it yet. Sanders was responding to a tweet Kristol sent that said, “#Never Sanders,” and linked to a New York Times article about the longtime Vermont senator’s opposition to war.

“Have you apologized to the nation for your foolish advocacy of the Iraq war?” Sanders tweeted, adding he makes “no apologies for opposing it.”

Neocons like Bill Kristol, Max Boot, and Ben Shapiro are worse – much worse – and more fundamentally radical than even the most left-wing lunatics the Democratic Party has to offer.

I concur.

One country sends across or allows to cross, our Southern border, some 4,000 invaders every single day. Thousands of miles away, another country, with no ability to attack the imperial homeland, mostly minds its business. Regarding the first country, your President sends hundreds of soldiers – to shuttle the invaders from welfare appointment to welfare appointment. To the other, harmless country, he sends a carrier task force, heavy bombers, fighters, and combat troops.

Can you name the countries? MAGA?

Women’s liberation and most of what passed for cultural progress in the 20th Century was and are dyscivilizational. Bill Sardi explains:

An historical sequence of events exemplified by advances in the women’s liberation movement combined with demographic changes in the American population has led to an irreversible catastrophe of cataclysmic proportion in the U.S. and throughout the world.

Allow me to pen the historical steps that led to the present situation. Few women in the 1960s would guess that the women’s liberation movement would have such a profound effect upon geopolitical events in the world today.

1960s: the birth control pill gives women freedom to have sex without fear of pregnancy.

He goes on and on. The slide did not start in the 60s. Nor are only the ladies to blame. For instance, it was a bunch of misguided men who approved and ratified the Nineteenth Amendment. Thanks, fellas!

DOJ, Julian Assange, tyranny

Is underway in the case against Julian Assange, with more fake charges piled on.

The Justice Department has hit WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange with Espionage Act charges, escalating a legal fight against the high-profile activist and alarming press freedom activists.

DOJ had previously only indicted Assange on a single count of conspiracy to commit computer intrusion. Thursday’s revelation of the additional 18 charges, filed in the Eastern District of Virginia, means Assange could face significantly more prison time if found guilty.

…

“Any government use of the Espionage Act to criminalize the receipt and publication of classified information poses a dire threat to journalists seeking to publish such information in the public interest, irrespective of the Justice Department’s assertion that Assange is not a journalist,” said Bruce Brown, executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, in a statement.

Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor who also touched off a debate about the media’s role in publishing secret files when he leaked classified information to reporters in 2013, proclaimed: “the Department of Justice just declared war – not on Wikileaks, but on journalism itself.”

Luckily, Assange can expect a fair trial on these trumped-up nonsense charges! Maybe just as fair as his seven-year confinement in the Embassy for nothing. Then again, knowing Amerikan jurors, they’re probably already asleep.

Whose next?!
