Two cases in Fulton County – not that far from TPC-Land. Not to worry: first, symptoms (for most) are mild, and the gubmit is on it!
“Georgians should remain calm,” Kemp said. “We were ready for today.”
You bet they were!

With these churches.
At St. Charles Borromeo Church in Bensenville, there is a message on the door reading: “Due to the ongoing flu season, no chalice will be offered for the foreseeable future. In addition, the optional sign of peace will be omitted at all masses. After making this decision, Bishop (Richard) Pates has requested the same for all parties in the diocese.”
Thus, during Lent, nobody will be drinking communion wine, nor shaking hands during the sign of peace.
Is this a health issue, or is it a faith issue. Surely the direct, physical presence of Jesus Christ counteracts a virus. I am not aware of anyone in history who has ever contracted an illness by taking Holy Communion. The opposite, in fact.

Fighting resumes in Afghanistan.
The partial truce between the US, the insurgents and Afghan forces lasted for the week running up to the signing of the US-Taliban accord in Doha on Saturday, and was extended over the weekend.
“The reduction in violence… has ended now and our operations will continue as normal,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told AFP.
“As per the (US-Taliban) agreement, our mujahideen will not attack foreign forces but our operations will continue against the Kabul administration forces.”
We’re the foreign forces. It’s their land to fight over. Get out ahead of schedule.

You’re not just watching the TV. It’s watching you. Really.
As you can see, not only can the companies watch you watch TV, but the technology is intelligent enough to pick up on your facial expression, engagement level, and other significant data. This information has provided insight into not only what shows people watch the most or are the most engaged in, but what commercials they prefer to watch as well.
TVision was co-founded by Dan Schiffman and one of his classmates from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. Through the installation of a Microsoft Kinect device, most often used for Xbox video games, on top of TVs, TVision tracks the movement of people’s eyes in relation to the TV. The device can then record even tiny shifts from everyone in the room, and then the company matches the movements to what they’re watching.
The device’s sensors can record minute shifts in all of the people in the room. The company then matches those viewing patterns to shows and commercials using technology that listens to what is being broadcast on the TV.
We’ve known this for years. Even so, so many people still cling to their digital cave walls, defensive of their favorite mind-numbing stupidity. At some point, this is going to become a questionable issue for the globos and the AI: why bother watching such idiots? Change the viewer?

Both sides of the story, smelling something like due process, are woefully out of taste in the West. Here, another story I’ve been on for nearly three years. Ivanka cried and daddy fired some missiles at Syria: first-class foreign policy, let me tell you. I did, in 2017.
A year after the fact, long after the weather reports and the first responder handlings disproved the official lie story, there was still (one-sided) debate about whodunnit. Now, ever more uncomfortable facts roll out.
In accordance with the FFM’s mandate, the report of the FFM does not draw conclusions about possible perpetrators. In the June 2018 decision, the States Parties mandated the Secretariat to put in place arrangements to identify the perpetrators of the use of chemical weapons in the Syrian Arab Republic. The IIT—established by the Conference of the States Parties—examines cases as specified in the June decision. The FFM Douma report falls into this category of cases.
Who needs positive identification or facts when the first daughter has tears? At least in the interim, there have been no additional loosey-goosey missile strikes anywhere. Oh…

Say it isn’t so. And this time, the government is in China.
Chinese scientists knew about the coronavirus and its deadly effects as early as December — but were ordered by government officials to suppress the evidence, according to a report.
In late December, several genomics companies tested samples from sick patients in Wuhan — the center of the coronavirus outbreak — and noticed alarming similarities between their illnesses and the 2002 SARS virus, the Sunday Times of London reported, citing Chinese business news site Caixin Global.
The researchers alerted Beijing of their findings — and on Jan. 3, received a gag order from China’s National Health Commission, with instructions to destroy the samples.
Who could have ever guessed? Well, at least now we have all the facts. And Washington would never lie about anything like this, right? Check in for the next post…
