B21, waste

The USSAF evidently has the paint drying on the $200 zillion racing stripe on the B2. Behold the mighty B-21!

The US Air Force plans to unveil the most advanced aircraft ever created this week, after spending nearly $203 billion on the program.

The B-21 Raider stealth bomber will be unveiled at the Northrop Grumman facility in Palmdale, California, on Friday, December 2.

The bomber was designed to carry out long-range bombing and nuclear missions employing cutting-edge stealth technologies.

Currently, six bombers are being built in Palmdale at about $2 billion per aircraft. They are expected to be flying in 2023.

While I’m sure the MOD is ready now, I’d suggest putting off deployment for another decade so as to triple costs, transgender some more airmynx, and give a few more countries the ability to counter this “cutting-edge” BS.

In not entirely unrelated news, the DOE’s literal satanist, queer, dress-wearing freak of a director of spent nuclear fuel was arrested for stealing a real woman’s purse. It was bad enough he tried to steal her “gender.” Hey! Maybe rename the B21 flying target after Xem?! For diversity and such?

The billion and trillion-dollar variety. Check out this site.

From the mere millions to the Trillion$, “your” government and it’s satanic owners prop up their favorite companies. Note: this site does not include the subsidies to the banks from the Fed (introduce an order of magnitude to represent that). So, where are all the conservatives who wanted to end welfare?

decline, F-35, government, War, waste

The last story I linked had some specs on the USA v. Iran. One was about the air power of each country. They sold the F-35 as some super-duper TIE Fighter of the future. Here’s the truth:

But startling reports by trade publication Defense News on Wednesday revealed flaws that previously only builder Lockheed Martin, the military, and the plane’s foreign buyers knew about.

The newly-exposed problems underscore the potential fragility of American air power as the armed services work to replace more and more old fighters with as many as 2,300 F-35s while also reconfiguring to confront the increasingly deadly Chinese and Russian air forces.

The problems might also help to explain why acting defense secretary Patrick Shanahan reportedly described the F-35 program as “fucked up.”

…

…“It is infeasible for the Navy or Marine Corps to operate the F-35 against a near-peer threat under such restrictions,” Defense News paraphrased the documents as saying.

The test reports Defense News obtained also reveal a second, previously little-known category 1 deficiency in the F-35B and F-35C aircraft. If during a steep climb the fighters exceed a 20-degree “angle of attack”—the angle created by the wing and the oncoming air—they could become unstable and potentially uncontrollable.

To prevent a possible crash, pilots must avoid steeply climbing and other hard maneuvers. “Fleet pilots agreed it is very difficult to max perform the aircraft” in those circumstances, Defense News quoted the documents as saying.

The implications are chilling. In a dogfight with a Russian or Chinese jet that can exceed a 20-degree angle of attack, an American flying and F-35 could be at a serious disadvantage.

In other words, it’s a $400 Billion brick that’s too heavy to even toss at an enemy. I think the acting  SEC-DEF’s vulgarity is spot on. Just another example of American superiority. Don’t think the Russians, Chinese, and Iranians haven’t already seen this. But! It’s not that bad. So what if our planes aren’t airworthy, melt in the sky, or creep along at a Wright Brother’s speed? America has a mighty strength! So says the corrupt manufacturer:

Diversity and inclusion are the foundation of our culture, and reflect our values of doing what’s right, respecting others and performing with excellence. By leveraging our employees’ unique talents and experiences, we deliver innovative, affordable solutions and unparalleled customer value.

And, that explains that.

Not that one’s coming, but what difference would a Blue Wave really make in DC?

The current Red Tide is failure enough. Even as agencies scramble to waste the leftovers from the last piecemeal, half-a$$ “budget,” the Senate, allegedly governed by conservative Republicans, prepares the next stroke of insanity.

The Senate is racing to avoid the third government shutdown of the year ahead of a looming end-of-the-month deadline.

Senators on Tuesday voted 93-7 to pass a sweeping $854 billion spending bill that includes funding for the Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services (HHS), Labor and Education, which make up the lion’s share of total government spending.

Six Republican senators — Jeff Flake (Ariz.), Mike Lee (Utah), Rand Paul (Ky.), David Perdue (Ga.), Ben Sasse (Neb.) and Pat Toomey (Pa.) — joined Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in voting against the bill, which also includes a short-term stopgap bill to fund the rest of the government through Dec. 7 and prevent a shutdown that would start Oct. 1.

Some of them are upset … at what they’re doing.

Ah well, at least we’re getting a $pace Force.

EPA Update: The Most Expensive Water-Cooler Talk

Last week I told you about the EPA’s latest act of environmental destruction.

Back in the 1970s a friend of mine once had an internship at the EPA. He was supposed to work on shutting down the coal industry of America. However, all he can remember about the experience was the water cooler talk of the engineers. The first half of the week was spent discussing the previous weekend. The second half was spent planning the upcoming weekend.

When he inquired about this blatant wasting of resources he was told that government workers are not compensated as well as their private sector counterparts and, thus, the imbalance had to be corrected somewhere. Somewhere was at the water cooler.

The same friend sent me this link:

The cost of cleaning up a major toxic waste spill in the West caused by an Environmental Protection Agency contractor could soar as high as $27.7 billion.

That’s the conclusion of study released Tuesday morning by the right-leaning American Action Forum. The group is one of the first to attempt to estimate the clean-up cost of what will likely be remembered as one of the biggest environmental disasters of 2015.

FoxNews.

How will they correct that imbalance?$???
