The Genie Smashed That Bottle

Whether the hell anyone likes it or not the West is rising again. The men (and women) of civilization and speaking and acting. Marine Le Pen, France’s presidential standout candidate and next leader, spoke to a group of pro-Europeans in Germany. (Imagine that, pro-Europeans in Europe).

“We are living through the end of one world, and the birth of another,” Ms. Le Pen, the leader of France’s National Front party, told a cheering gathering of members of European right-wing parties on Saturday in this Rhine River city to chart a joint path to success in elections in the Netherlands, France and Germany this year.

“In 2016, the Anglo-Saxon world woke up,” Ms. Le Pen said. “In 2017, I am sure that it will be the year of the Continental peoples rising up.”

Geert Wilders, a Dutch nationalist whose anti-Islam Dutch Freedom Party currently leads the polls for spring elections in the Netherlands, was emblematic of the confidence of the far-right at the meeting.

“The world is changing,” he said. “America is changing. Europe is changing.” He added: “It started last year with Brexit, yesterday there was Trump and today the freedom-loving parties gathered in Koblenz making a stand.”

“The genie will not go back into the bottle again, whether you like it or not,” he said.

2016

Theresa May became Britain’s new Prime Minister following the inevitable success of BREXIT. She is hard at work breaking her country free from the autocratic tyrants in Brussels. In a week or two May will be the very first foreign leader to meet, in Washington, with President Trump.

Donald Trump rode a wave a populist support into the White House. Yesterday, in his inaugural speech, he vowed to transfer the power from D.C. back to the American people. He had better.

2017 (learn these names)

Marine Le Pen will be France’s next President.

Geert Wilders and his party will soon control politics in the Netherlands. Look for him to become Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers to the King.

Frauke Petry is gaining ground in his bid to become Germany’s Chancellor. Of these three named politicians he is the least likely to assume office this year. However, he and his party are growing rapidly. Sooner or later they will save Germany from the utter and incomprehensible stupidity of Angela Merkel. Another major terror attack may cement a September victory this year.

There are other names also. And there have been setbacks. However the people of Austria, Italy, Greece, Poland, Spain, etc., etc. are tired of being victims of slow but sure genocide. Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are seeing the movement grow as well. Every Islamic attack, like that in Melbourne this week, further galvanize the People. Every screw turned by the banksters strengthens their resolve.

The West is now standing, standing up for its own identity and survival. A veritable Tours 2.0 is currently underway. So far, despite the constant bloodshed inflicted by the other side, this side of the battle is peaceful, democratic. But beneath the surface the spirit of Martel is alive and well, readying just in case.

Once the invaders and criminals have been repatriated or otherwise defeated, the People will then look to the traitors in their midst (like Merkel) along with the insidious, greedy globalist scum. More so than even the actual terrorists, those behind them must be dealt with. It’s called vengeance. It is righteous. And it is coming.

Back to Reality: An Alarm Bell

I’m the last one for practical politics. That said, even I enjoyed yesterday’s festivities. An old feeling of nostalgia crept over me. Refreshing like a pleasant anesthetic. But I fear it is wearing off.

I saw this story a day before Trump swore the oath of office as the 45th President.

President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for secretary of the treasury, Steve Mnuchin, said at his Senate confirmation hearing Thursday he would like to increase the size of the IRS.

Mnuchin said that while some have questioned, including himself, the number of employees at the IRS, he would consider increasing the size of the labor force.

“The IRS headcount has gone down quite dramatically, almost 30 percent over the last number of years. I don’t think there is any another government agency that has gone down 30 percent. Especially for an agency that collects revenues, this is something that I’m concerned about,” Mnuchin said.

“Perhaps the IRS just started with way too many people. I am concerned about the staffing of the IRS,” Mnuchin told the Senate panel.

I think it’s in the Constitution somewhere that any executive at the IRS, The Treasury, and the Fed has to have worked previously at Goldman Sachs, as Mnuchin has. Maybe in Article 69… Or 666…

Business Insider.

I’ve previously expressed a theory about Trump and the banksters, that he’s trying to keep his enemies closer, so to speak. If not, then it appears that Hillary’s faction won anyway, sans the old bag.

Despite the personnel reductions the IRS has collected record “revenues” in the past few years. And that’s not even it’s intended purpose. Maybe that’s efficiency in government? A good way to do a terrible thing?

A larger IRS would compliment the true mission of the agency – a hammer against the people. That would fly directly in the face of Trump’s incredible inaugural speech yesterday.

Maybe I’m prematurely over-reacting here. But I do not love or trust the IRS nor anyone from the Satanic House of Sachs. Developing…

The Dirty Denny Hastert Saga Rolls On

Tags

This useless, unthinking, unfeeling pile of excrement continues to do the unthinkable.

Imprisoned former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert has asked a Kendall County judge to not only reject a sexual abuse victim’s breach-of-contract lawsuit, but also to make the man pay back $1.7 million in secret hush-money payments.

In response to the lawsuit and in his counterclaim, made public Thursday and signed by Hastert, he denied that the oral pact is akin to a valid and enforceable contract and, if so, it would be the plaintiff who breached it when he broke his silence and spoke to federal authorities.

The lawsuit was filed in April by a now middle-age married man whom Hastert coached decades ago at Yorkville High School.

The man, known as Individual A in the federal case, said Hastert had agreed in 2010 to pay him $3.5 million if he didn’t disclose publicly that Hastert inappropriately touched him in the 1970s, when Individual A was 14, during a wrestling trip while the two stayed overnight in a hotel room. Hastert was close friends with his boy’s parents.

One hopes the judge uses this opportunity to throw out the counter-claim and to further excoriate this trash for what he is.

You may recall, back in 2015, I had a modicum of legal sympathy for this disgusting, child molesting, down low queer only because he was imprisoned for the the phony crime of”structuring”. That’s all gone now. I hope he dies in prison. As is, he is scheduled to be released in August – you know, about the time men sight-in rifles for deer season.

America First, Power to the People, Protected by God: A Brief Speech Review

That’s what I got out of President Trump’s speech this afternoon: America, The People, God. Words from a politician, sure. But it was nice to hear them nonetheless.

donald-trump-inaugural-address-january-20-2017-1234-getty-640x480

Breitbart.

The full speech, in case you missed it live:

Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans, and people of the world: thank you.

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and to restore its promise for all of our people.

Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for years to come.

We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done.

Every four years, we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power, and we are grateful to President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition. They have been magnificent.

Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because today we are not merely transferring power from one Administration to another, or from one party to another – but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People.

For too long, a small group in our nation’s Capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost.

Washington flourished – but the people did not share in its wealth.

Politicians prospered – but the jobs left, and the factories closed.

The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country.

Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation’s Capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes – starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.

This is your day. This is your celebration.

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.

Everyone is listening to you now.

You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction: that a nation exists to serve its citizens.

Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families, and good jobs for themselves.

These are the just and reasonable demands of a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system, flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge; and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential.

This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation – and their pain is our pain. Their dreams are our dreams; and their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home, and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.

For many decades, we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry;

Subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military;

We’ve defended other nation’s borders while refusing to defend our own;

And spent trillions of dollars overseas while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

We’ve made other countries rich while the wealth, strength, and confidence of our country has disappeared over the horizon.

One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores, with not even a thought about the millions upon millions of American workers left behind.

The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed across the entire world.

But that is the past. And now we are looking only to the future.

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every hall of power.

From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land.

From this moment on, it’s going to be America First.

Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs, will be made to benefit American workers and American families.

We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our products, stealing our companies, and destroying our jobs. Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength.

I will fight for you with every breath in my body – and I will never, ever let you down.

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our jobs. We will bring back our borders. We will bring back our wealth. And we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new roads, and highways, and bridges, and airports, and tunnels, and railways all across our wonderful nation.

We will get our people off of welfare and back to work – rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor.

We will follow two simple rules: Buy American and Hire American.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world – but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first.

We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to follow.

We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones – and unite the civilized world against Radical Islamic Terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the Earth.

At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.

When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

The Bible tells us, “how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”

We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity.

When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.

There should be no fear – we are protected, and we will always be protected.

We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement and, most importantly, we are protected by God.

Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger.

In America, we understand that a nation is only living as long as it is striving.

We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action – constantly complaining but never doing anything about it.

The time for empty talk is over.

Now arrives the hour of action.

Do not let anyone tell you it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America.

We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again.

We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the Earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow.

A new national pride will stir our souls, lift our sights, and heal our divisions.

It is time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget: that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots, we all enjoy the same glorious freedoms, and we all salute the same great American Flag.

And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the windswept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty Creator.

So to all Americans, in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, and from ocean to ocean, hear these words:

You will never be ignored again.

Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams, will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.

Together, We Will Make America Strong Again.

We Will Make America Wealthy Again.

We Will Make America Proud Again.

We Will Make America Safe Again.

And, Yes, Together, We Will Make America Great Again. Thank you, God Bless You, And God Bless America.

I’ve heard and read many of these speeches before. Most are pure hot air. I liked this one tremendously, primarily for those three reasons I marked in bold front above. Yes, I would have loved more about Freedom. However, that will come in time. Or not. Time will tell.

A few have criticized these words. They say it was all dark and frightening. A very few of them took to the streets of D.C. to do their own dark, frightening deeds in response. For these I understand they were well paid – jobs already return, a good sign perhaps if not a peaceful one. I hope the terrorists are scarred – they should be.

I wonder what part of the speech they really objected to. Was it the transfer of power from D.C. to the People? Do they hate the People? Was it America First? If they hate the country, they can leave. Or, do they hate God? I think I know the answers to my questions here.

One would hope that the words come true. And that the criminal protesters in turn see the positive change and change themselves. History cautions against such optimism but I, for one, am glad to have it – if only for a day or a weekend. Again, time will tell.

God bless America. God bless the People. God bless President Trump. And all praise be to God.

Terror Melbourne: Guess Who

Tags

, , ,

One thing I caught in Trump’s initial remarks as President today was that we will eradicate Islamic terrorism from the face of the Earth. Today would not be too soon. Cars and trucks are the new ISIS weapon of choice. Silly Roos gave up their guns for nothing.

I’ll take you all out… you’ll need an army to take me’: Chilling Facebook posts of driver who ploughed into pedestrians in Melbourne, killing four and injuring 25 after stealing car from man and threatening to ‘gouge his eyes out’

Four people have died after a car ploughed into crowds in Melbourne’s city centre, on Friday

A young child is among the dead and four other children were injured in the rampage

The man behind the wheel was shot in the arm by police before he was arrested in his underwear

The driver of the red car has been identified as 26-year-old Dimitrious ‘Jimmy’ Gargasoulas

Eyewitness said the ‘people were literally just flying like skittles, bouncing off the bonnet’

Police say he was involved in a domestic stabbing incident in a suburb earlier Friday

The man who ran over and killed four people while rampaging through Melbourne had posted on Facebook ‘I’ll take you all out’ and stole the vehicle after threatening to ‘gouge the owner’s eyes out’.

The driver of the car, identified as Dimitrious ‘Jimmy’ Gargasoulas, is a Melbourne local who was charged with family violence offences last weekend and was out on bail when he ploughed through crowds in the city centre on Friday.

Gargasoulas, 26, has a history of mental health and drug abuse issues and police say he was also involved in a domestic stabbing incident at 2am on Friday.

After attacking his brother, Gargasoulas is accused of storming into his mother’s ex-boyfriend, Gavin Wilson’s, housing commission apartment and demanding the keys to his Holden Commodore.

The 76-year-old said Gargasoulas came into his flat with a Bible, set it alight and threw the burning book into his face before threatening to gouge his eye out.

‘He asked me twice for (the keys) and I said “no, I’m not giving it to you”,’ Mr Wilson said in an interview with Seven News.

‘Then he put his hand in my eye and started pressing. He said “Give them to me or I’ll gouge your eye out”, so I said “OK, OK”.’

Stealing cars, threatening old people, killing small children – we’ve seen all that before. Throwing a flaming Bible is a new one. It’s all getting old. I will note this particular lone wolf seems a little crazier than the ordinary. Maybe ISIS is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Inauguration Day, 2017 – REPOSTED (Again) from the Last Refuge / Conservative Treehouse

**Trump is the first new President to come along since I started this blog (five years ago…wow). Click the link at the bottom for a schedule for the day. Big show starts promptly at Noon.

I’ll have some brief coverage of the big event late today in my weekly Prepper News Weekly column for those who read FP / PWM (may repost here). Today I shall withhold any predictions, criticisms, analysis, etc. of both the incoming President and Mr. Obama. For what it’s worth, I recall heading to federal court for something eight years ago and listening to Obama’s inauguration on the radio. Time has a way of moving forward…

Happy Friday, all!**

Meditations, Contemporary and Classical

Tags

, , , ,

This morning I was lucky enough to get an email from James Altucher that I could turn into an easy post, here. Then, I got an email from Sergey with the Obama/Merkel transcript. Now, I have a trifecta.

Vox Day responded to a request for a philosophy book:

Musing on meditations

Someone on Gab asked me if I would write a book of philosophy, and suggested something similar to one written by one of my intellectual heroes, Marcus Aurelius. His Meditations have been a significant influence on my thinking since high school, particularly this deeply meaningful piece of advice, with which he began Book Two in the Staniforth translation:

Begin each day by telling yourself: today I shall be meeting with interference, ingratitude, insolence, disloyalty, ill-will, and selfishness—all of them due to the offenders’ ignorance of what is good or evil. But for my part I have long perceived the nature of good and its nobility, the nature of evil and its meanness, and also the nature of the culprit himself, who is my brother (not in the physical sense, but as a fellow-creature similarly endowed with reason and a share of the divine); therefore none of those things can injure me, for nobody can implicate me in what is degrading.

That got me thinking about Meditations. If you’ve not read the Emperor’s notes, then you’re not really well-read in the classics. If that’s the case, take heart! The royalties on the old book ran out 1,700 years ago and there’s a free version available on Kindle (just click!)!

41wi9rtv0zl-_sy346_

Amazon / Kindle.

Meditations contains some of the finest, calmest, well-bred Stoicism every written. And I’ve always been struck by the compatibility between the Stoics, including Aurelius, and Christianity. Simply put, not only will you enjoy the lessons, but you will be able to relate to most of them.

Many thanks to Vox for yet another excellent idea. And I hope he cranks his book out sooner than later. Thanks to Kindle and Amazon for a wealth of free classics. And thanks to all of you for reading this rambling. Now, click that link!

The Loser Line: Obama’s Last Official Call to Angela Merkel

Tags

This time tomorrow President Hussein Obama will be enjoying his new life of golf, prayer rugs, golf, and probably pizza. Maybe with some golf too. He made his final state telephone call to Germany’s Angela Merkel.

Through my Russian connections, I happen to have a partial transcript of the conversation (already in progress but all in English, until the very end):

Obama: …really don’t care about the $10 Trillion. Just don’t give a hoot. It’s not like I have to pay it back.

Merkel: But the Deutsche Bank will be under by summer. We never got the loan guarantees!

Obama: Trump can … He’s got that Munchkin … Luncheon … whoever… Janet’s still around. They’ll work out …

Unknown male (American side): Mr. [?] President, they said a 2 o’clock tee time works for everyone.

Obama: Splendid! Tell [muffled] that we’re on! And get some of those little … you know … for the trip. Did Michelle say it was okay?

Unknown male: We never got a chance to …

Obama: Good. Glad we’re all on the same page. Make sure they pack my red rug for the greens. Contrast.

Unknown male [?]: [muffled]

Obama: [laughs]

Merkel: Hello?!

Obama: Look, Amanda …

Merkel: Angela …

Obama: Right, Samantha … Look the point is, just keep bringing them in. Try to get another million before the Bun…

Merkel: ANOTHER (shouting) million! But I only have until September.

Obama: No. Don’t think that way. I saw some polls that …

Merkel: Hillary saw some polls.

Obama: You Germans and the polls!

Merkel and Obama: [laughing]

Obama: Seriously. Where was I? No. Nine months is long enough. Just import as many as you can.

Merkel: We didn’t … AfD …

Obama: My time runs out … like … two … tomorrow I’m done. Can’t really get anymore here. It’s on you and the Frogs.

Merkel: One more attack and the AfD owns Berlin! Have you seen that poll!?

Unknown female (American side): [muffled]

Obama: Patriots?

Unknown female: Yes, sir.

Obama: Uh … Brady… um …. under, twenty-five grand!

Unknown female: [muffled] … pizza is here.

Obama: Ooooooh. Okay. Hey, Murray …

Merkel: MERKEL!

Obama: Myrtle. Look. Just keep it up. The brotherhood will try to make sure the next bombing is …

Merkel: Bombing?!

Obama: Look, I gotta run. It’s all good. Just two million more should do it.

Merkel: But… I am finished!

Obama: All gonna work out.

Merkel: May, Le Pen, Trump. Frauke is coming…

Obama: Alla…

Merkel: They’re in the streets!

Obama: … bar …

Merkel: Threatened to burn my hou…

Obama: Atta, girl!

Merkel: Barry! Barry! Save us…

Obama: … smell pizza and my driver! You play, Martha? … Good. December, maybe?

Merkel: I’m in the bunker!

Obama: I try to avoid those. Nice talking to you, Fräulein…

Merkel: (hysterical) [unintelligible] … want my head!

Obama: Tootles!

Merkel: GOTTVERDAMMT!!!!

**American side hangs up. Line goes silent…

Well… Not sure what to make of all that. A million or two more what?

Anyway, I’d like to take this time to wish Obama a very happy retirement. I’ll go ahead and do the same for the outgoing Chancellor too.

Many thanks to Sergey for the transcript and the cool picture.

Now, on with the West!

Something I Need to Do: Inspiration From Altucher

Tags

,

I need to start using my email list for business. I have a list – nearly 1,000 users – I just have never used it. That’s a waste because these things are effective. James Altucher has a list of probably something like 1 million people. I’m one of them. Here’s the latest I got from him: (this is an incredible story, so I just cut and pasted):

How To Be A Genius

Someone asked this on Quora. I decided to give my sage advice on the topic.

One time I had two million dollars left. You have to be pretty damn smart to make two million dollars, I thought.

And then I had an idea. Or rather, an opportunity presented itself.

I needed to make a lot more than two million dollars. There were people running around (idiots!) with ten million, or even one hundred million dollars.

I was smarter than them!

So I put the two million dollars in a single company. They made “wireless devices for deaf people.” If you ask me now what that meant I would not be able to tell you.

The company went public. For about a day, my two million dollars was worth $2,200,000. In one day I was $200,000 up! This will keep going and I’ll be RICH!

Then it went down. Suddenly it was $1,900,000.

I better hold on. I need to get my $100,000 back.

The next day it was at $1,800,000. Then it kept sinking. My two million was worth $1,000,000. Then $800,000.

I had a huge mortgage. Plus two babies. $400,000.

I put my house for sale. At three in the morning I’d sit in this big couch looking at my two story book case and thinking about how it was all over. I never slept. I sweated all the time. $300,000.

The real estate agent begged me to lower the price of the apartment. I did. Then he begged again. I did. Then he didn’t have to beg anymore. I kept lowering the price of the apartment. Nobody was buying.

“I can’t understand,” I told him. “This house is worth more.”

Now he was cocky with me because he could be.

He said, “This house is only worth what someone is going to pay for it, and it’s a lot lower than what you have it at now.”

I said to my wife, “let’s see if we can borrow more money off of it and then we’ll jut stop paying and keep the money.” We dressed up the babies and went to the bank. They laughed at us. “We don’t do THAT kind of loan.”

So I lowered it to less than what I had paid for it. Then I had to lower it to less than what I owed the bank.

I couldn’t afford the mortgage anymore so I stopped paying it. I ignored all the calls from the bank. I ignored all the calls about the housing taxes. The true owners. I’d pay these people after I sold the house.

Finally we got an offer.

I went to the movies to celebrate. I forgot what I saw. But I remember going to the ATM machine to check and see how much money I had left.

$143.

I called my parents. “I need to borrow just a thousand dollars,” I said. “I’ll return it in a few days.”

They said “No” and I hung up the phone. It was the last time I ever spoke to my dad, who had a stroke a few months later that left him paralyzed and looking at the ceiling for two straight years.

“He has no brain left,” the doctors all said but I think he was just locked in there.

I put myself in exile. We moved 80 miles north to a broken down house 1/4 the size in the middle of nowhere.

I never left the house. I gained 30 pounds. I spoke to nobody. I was trying to think of even smaller places we could live.

Nobody returned any calls at all. Everyone wants to be your friend when you have money. “I always knew about that guy,” they all would say later.

But then I slowly got out of depression. I started waking up early and playing basketball with myself at a court right next to the Hudson River while the sun rose over the mountains. A train would pass at 5:05 every morning and I’d see the faces blinking at me.

I lost the thirty pounds. I started to sleep better.

Then I’d read for two hours. I read every day from one fiction book, one non-fiction book, one self-help book, and one book about games. I love games.

Then I’d take out a waiter’s pad. To remind me of humility. And because they were cheap. And because for thousands of years waiter’s pads were used to make lists.

And I’d make my own list. The list might be “10 businesses I can start.” Or…”10 books I can write.” Or…”10 ways XYZ company could be better.” Or…”10 articles I could write.” And on and on.

Some ideas would bubble to the top and I’d come up with deeper ideas about those. And some ideas would disappear. Some ideas I’d try for a short time and either give or pursue further.

Some ideas I did nothing. It was all practice. It was all experiments. It was all about getting more creative so I could get myself out of the swamp of regret.

I did pray to God a lot. But mostly because I wanted the stock market to go up. I’d go to the church across the street and pray to Jesus. But I was Jewish and I don’t think he listened to me.

So I can really say that at first it boiled down to three things:

Get exercise and eat well.
Read A LOT. I’ve read 2–3 books a week for the past 15 years. I remember maybe 1–2% of what I read. And it doesn’t add up. It multiplies. Because when I learn one new thing, I connect it backwards to all the things I learned before. So every one new thing is like 1500 new things.
Be creative every day. Because the more you know, the more ingredients you know, the more recipes you can make. Writing down ten ideas a day is like a recipe. I noticed within six months my recipes took on a different flavor. They started to have elements of good in them.

I’d surprise myself: “This is a good idea!” And I’d try it for awhile. Some I’d try for more than awhile. Some would change my life.

And every six months, the ideas would get better and better. It was like I was graduating through classes and grades and schools and getting the graduate degrees I had never gotten.

I was constantly connecting more and more ideas backwards and forwards to each other. Songs, books, people, companies, ideas would connect more and more like this thick matrix.

Connections and connections. It was (and is) like my brain was on fire constantly.

This was the secret for me. I don’t know if it would work for anyone else. Every day I have to do this or I think I’m going to die.

I just did it today. I did it yesterday. I’ll do it tomorrow. I’ll do it a year from now.

Since that time I’ve started about 20 different businesses. 17 of them have failed. That’s ok. I’ll always have new ideas.

I’ve written 18 books. Some of them were horrible. Maybe most of them. That’s ok. I’ll write more.

I don’t think I’m a genius. But I know the important thing is not the destination but the direction.

I’m going in the right direction.

After my dad had his stroke I had an idea. My dad loved chess.

He was only able to lie in bed on his back and stare at the ceiling. He couldn’t talk or move. He’d stare at the ceiling for 10 hours a day and sleep for 14.

I found a fun chess position in a book. White to move and win in two moves. It involved a queen sacrifice. He once told me, “take the most powerful piece on the board and try to give it away. Do the unexpected and you’ll win.”

So I took that position and I went to the local printer and printed it up three feet by three feet.

Then I went to his room in the medical facility and got on a chair and taped it to the ceiling right above his eyes so he could look at it.

He knew ten languages. He was a chess master. He could play every musical instrument. He had read every book. And when I was a kid he knew every answer.

He would stare at the position. I could see his lips trying to move. I knew he knew the answer but the doctors would shake their heads and walk away.

Then he died.

Some day you and I will too.

Ok, Josie my daughter, get a good night’s sleep.

I know, I know. Yet another story about LOSING money. Ok. Enough of that for now.

I’ve told you this before…about someone I know who’s helping lot’s of people MAKE money. His name is Ramit Sethi.

And after the last time I told you about him even more people wrote me, telling me how they changed their lives. Quit their jobs. Made money on their own.

Because of Ramit and what he teaches. So I’m telling you again. Click here before Friday.

Yes, there is a sales pitch at the end. But the story is worth it – as are all of James’s. And I’ve heard of the Ramit system. Not a bad idea. And I’m sure part of it is the email list. Got to work on that.

I wish Trump well as our 45th President – mostly because I am optimistic he will do even just a few of the things he said that got him elected. And that those things will work for the best. That is in contradiction to my general assessment of where we are headed as a nation.

Folks, this is it. Love him or hate him, Trump is the last shot at regaining even a semblance of the Old Republic. It’s a very tall order and an extremely heavy burden. This is about reviving, maybe even imitating, not continuing. If he fails, then we enter new and uncharted territory. Dark territory. We should start to find out by the end of this year.*
